It was paid because Liberty Mutual needed the title for a car that had been totaled NOT ny myself. My problem was not with the fact that I owed the money but with the automated phone line that said my account was ' PAID IN FULL " That is very deceiving. You get letters that say you owe and then you call and it says paid in full. Not a good way to do business.Revdex.com:

I am rejecting this response because:I should not be penalized for error on GM Financial and the dealership. I spoke with a  manager named [redacted] and already provided all the required documentation to expedite the payment and was told the check would be issued in 3-5days. I even requested follow up calls from gm fincial to ensure everything was ok and the payment was issued, that I never received. I called myself to check on the situation to where I was hung up on multiple times. I would like the refund check issued now. Not on Dec 30

Thank you for the correspondence sent to the Revdex.com. I have reviewed your concerns and would like to provide the following information.
Please note that the payment you made on November 30, 2017 was returned to GM Financial as a stop payment. Once the payoff posted to the account and the payment made on November 30, 2017 reversed, it left a remaining balance on the account. Please note that our records indicate a statement was sent to the address on file February 5, 2018.
Our records reflect that a payment was received on February 23, 2017 in the amount of $297.73 to payoff the account. On February 27, 2017 the payment was returned as a stop payment and left a remaining balance on the account. The current outstanding balance is $297.45 and is good until March 20, 2017.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11518553, and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute.
Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below. Please be advised that my position has not changed and I feel that your company did not handle me as a customer well. I'm sure I'm not the only person to fall behind in payments which is why you have deferment programs. What you need is to ensure that your customer service rep are thorough in their communications and that you should monitor all calls going forward so as to avoid these issues. You have the poorest customer service and management I've ever encountered and it us my hope that my complaint warns others and prevents you from damaging others people's livelihoods and credit.

I am rejecting this response because:

GM has failed to provide a factual document such as a federal odometer statement in order to prove the mileage overage. I will acknowledge I did have a contract with them as they've shown. However, any such fees require supporting documentation and they've failed to provided that documentation. Seeing as they can't prove I've gone over the miles with the correct documents, I once again request the they remove this from my credit report as I'd like to avoid to take any type of legal action against GM.

I am rejecting this response because:Not one of these toll fees were sent directly to me by New York State. They all go GM first. As I stated I am happy to pay for the tolls themselves but absolutely refuse to pay the fines charged because of delays with GM processing. According to New York thruway they only bill GM for leased vehicles.

My complaint was very straightforward and did not require a canned response from GM Financial. I will not subject my mother to their "request" that she contact them regarding the issue of continuing to send invoices to my dead father after he has been dead for over a year. For the record, I called and spoke with a GM Financial Representative on more than one occasion. So if their policy is that they can't discuss the issue with anyone other than my mother then they need to let their representatives know that. The purpose of my complaint was simply to let them know that their actions (actually lack of action) is unkind and inhumane. I require no further contact from them and if we continue to receive mail from them I will simply return it every time unopened, return to sender. Any further contact will be ignored.

Our records do not reflect that GM Financial has received an Auto Pay Enrollment form. Please be advised GM Financial did not have any good contact numbers to inform you of the account status. On October 17, 2017 you spoke with a representative and provided us with a good contact number.
Please be advised you may utilize other payment options such as payment by phone, IVR, or online at [redacted]. These payment options are provided by Western Union and may subject to a convenience charge and some can be postdated for future dates. An additional payment option available at no cost is the Recurring Payment Plan that can be set up online.
GM Financial is required to report truthful and accurate information to the credit bureau reporting agencies. Our research concludes that the account status and account payment history of your account have been reported to the credit agencies with accuracy; and as a result, we are unable to make any changes or deletions to the credit bureau reporting of your account.
