GM Financial Reviews (4045)

Complaint: 1[redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:per my lease agreement, I had the right to a pre-inspection and the opportunity to make any actual repairs myself to avoid excess wear and tear charges. I was advised that I could be present for a preinslection at the dealership prior to the actual inspection. I was told that I would be called when this was scheduled and I was not notified of an appointment. GM instead skipped the pre-inspection and billed me for 22 hours of hypothetical labor that was never performed on the vehicle. The car also sat on the dealership lot for weeks, prior to the GM inspection and out of my possession. Since I was not given my right to the pre-inspection I cannot agree with the amount of damage that was photographed on the vehicle. When the car was left with the dealer there was not the amount of damages that was provided in the photographs. I believe GM Financial is I’m breech of contract as I was not given my right to the agreed upon pre-inspection prior to these outlandish charges being processed against me.

Thank you for the additional correspondence sent to the Revdex.com. I have reviewed your concerns and would like to offer the following information. According to our records a payment in the amount of $1,139.43 was received on December 8, 2011. This payment satisfied the principal and/or interest balance of the account; however it did not cover the full balance owed, leaving an outstanding late fee balance of $686.67. Letters regarding the late fee balance were mailed to the address of record on December 21, 2011 and February 23, 2012. These letters provided information regarding remaining late fee balance and indicated that once the late fee balance had been satisfied, that GM Financial would release the lien and/or contract for the account. Our records reflect on June 24, 2015, a payment from Liberty Mutual in the amount of $686.67 was received and posted to your account. This payment satisfied the remaining late fee balance of $686.67. The title to the vehicle will be released to Liberty Mutual on July 9, 2015. Included for review are copies of late fee balance notices that were sent to your address of record.  Should you have any additional questions or concerns regarding this matter, please contact GM Financial at ###-###-#### Sincerely, GM Financial

I am rejecting this response because:On my credit report it states that the account is closed. It is not. It also states that the car is "currently" in repossession. It is not. I have possession of the car and I just paid 2/2018 car payment in the account which is current. I will address this with the Illinois Attorney General Office immediately. That information is inaccurate. The car is not currently in repossession and the account is not closed and the account is current. What you stated was a lie. That information is not accurate as of 1/22/2018.

Dear [redacted],
Thank you for the correspondence sent to the Revdex.com. I have reviewed your concerns and would like to provide the following information.
Our records reflect that on September 13, 2017 you called in and requested a payoff. A ten day payoff was quoted to you in the amount of $11,542.92, good through September 23, 2017. We received a check in the amount of $11,254.00 on November 9, 2017, however the payoff was short due to the daily interest accruing, and payoff being received after the ten day payoff date.
As of the date of this letter your GM Financial account reflects a zero balance. Our records reflect that the title was released on February 22, 2018 to address on file.
Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance please contact GM Financial at (800) 284-2271.
Sincerely, GM Financial

[redacted] the check was issued on July 10, 2017 but sent by slow mail, it may get here in 5 days & I still don't have my car

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:The issue never was or has been about the history of the purchase, agreed upon contractual documentation or subsequent correspondence. The issue is simply about $9200 being sent to GM and they not accounting for it as a payment.  What is of consequence is in their email they do say they have the option on how to apply the payment which I was not cognizant of but nevertheless it is what it is and the correspondence with GM has been as fruitless as the periodic customer surveys they send out where I have responded with the same complaint only to be replied to with the same rhetoric.  That said I will settle the financials with GM and be finally rid of any business with them now or in the future.

Your answers to customers are unbelievable. Why can no one give a straight answer, all you do is repeat the same thing again and again. I will be contacting the VENTRRANS ADMINISTRATION AND ALSO THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE. I asked you to please not send me your customer service number again, because all they are is rude to me. I would appreciate a phone call from someone who can give me some answers about why this happened. Also, why I cannot get any answers from anyone and why your customer service representatives can treat people the way they do. How it is fair that you can send an email for repossession the day before it is repossessed.

The Company GM, contracted with [redacted] to repossessed my vehicle and add mileage to the vehicle.GM, refuses to reveal to me if they had issues like this in the pass with this company.finally, since GM, employ this company they should compensate me for the damage and then go after [redacted], since they are the one who has a relationship and an agreement. It's thein responsibility to screen who they employ for this kind of business.[redacted]

Thank you for the correspondence sent to the Revdex.com. I have reviewed your concerns and would like to offer the following information. Please note that after a review of this account, all statutory notices were mailed to you at your last known address. Specifically, the vehicle...

was repossessed on April 17, 2015, and the Notice of Plan to Sell Property was mailed on April 21, 2015.  In accordance with the applicable law, the statutory notice provided information about how and when to secure any personal property left in the vehicle. On April 22, GM Financial provided Repossessors Inc. (“Agent”) with permission to release personal property and the agreed upon items to you. The retrieval of these items would have needed to be arranged between yourself and the Agent.  According to the Agent, an appointment was scheduled for retrieval of personal property on the Saturday prior to the date the vehicle was transported to auction. The Agent stated that no one arrived to claim or remove the personal property; and as per your request, the agent did not remove any items from the vehicle.  Please contact [redacted] at ###-###-#### to see if your personal belongings are still being stored. Please note that any items affixed to the vehicle become a part of the vehicle. You were notified via the Deficiency Calculation Letter dated June 12, 2015 that the vehicle was sold at auction on May 27, 2015.  Should you have further questions or require any additional assistance, please contact GM Financials Loss Recovery department at ###-###-####. Sincerely, GM Financial

I have already leased another GM vehicle through GM financial and I love it.  I love GM and will get another GM vehicle after this if my issue is resolved.  I would like the current invoice adjusted off for the amount that I owe.  While I appreciate the offer to carry over a higher amount than asked for on a future lease, there is no guarantee that this would actually occur. Ref# [redacted]there is no invoice# listed) for $240.09 is what I am requesting to be adjusted off.
