The Kia Forte was purchased in when *** L*** and I were still married and remained in his possession in McAllen TexasThe divorce decree in clearly states he will keep possession of vehicle and the debt owed but I am primary signer on the vehicleDue to his unexpected hospitalization into intensive care unit, newly diagnosed terminal illness and uncertain prognosis in November, I requested a deferment for months of December and JanuaryPlease note that prior to this unexpected event payments have been made as promisedOn 03/12/2015, I made call to GM representative to notify them the reason for delay "3" days prior of day markI notified GM that my ex-husbands sister had just informed me that he would no longer be able to make payment as promised due to illnessI specifically told GM representative that day and made it absolutely clear that I did not want it to hit day mark and effect my credit, her immediate response to my comment was I will give you an "extension" When this was offered an "extension" by representative, it was my understanding that an "extension" meant I was granted time to pay car as agreed without account being reported late to the credit bureau I would have made the payment on 03/12/if GM representative would have explained to me that she would give me an "extension" but that it would still be reported to credit bureauWhen I spoke to another one of GM representatives on 03/19/ I notified her that car was appraised but that dealership but that they required me to be present which is a 4-hour drive from where I live therefore was going to leave work early on 03/20/2015, hand over check and car to dealership on 03/21/at which time she also granted me another "extension" until 03/23/The vehicle has been paid in full as promisedI have a copy of check dated 03/21/2015, confirmation of date submitted to GM 03/23/along with dealership appraisal that was performed on 03/16/Now I was notified by Equifax that payment was reported lateSince then I have spoken to of GM financial representatives and none of them are able to help me or even explain to me what an "extension" meansOne of GM supervisors (Mary Hernandez) apologized and stated that GM will use this as a teaching tool to educate GM representatives to explain what an "extension" meansAnother GM representative (Anthony) said it was my fault for "assuming" an extension meant they would not report account as late but not even he could explain to me what an "extension" meant I was mislead and due to failure of GM representatives to inform me that despite this so-called "extension" it would still be reported to credit bureau after day mark was hit therefore this has lowered my credit score and now will increase my interest rates in any future investments, loans, car loans etc. Furthermore, response for me to contact your "customer service" line has been done with no assistance at allI was given the run around and transferred over multiple times to different representatives with no resolutionI am once again requesting to remove negative late payment from credit bureau due to representation by GM representatives
Regards,
Your company has not reported truthfullyAll payments were sent on time but were not processed on timeI never received any phone calls or notices saying that the payments were not processedYou need to fix this report.
