Review: I used [redacted] to sell an iphone to GUZU. The phone was mailed to GUZU and I received a check in the mail for the agreed price. When I attempted to cash the check at the bank ([redacted], same as GUZU) the teller notified me that the check was unable to be cashed. I attempted to contact GUZU via e-mail to no answer. They do not list a phone number for contact. In numerous online reviews of this company GUZU, this appears to be a common rip-off practice.Desired Settlement: I would like a legitmate refund from GUZU, not a BAD CHECK.

Review: Sent in my Iphone 5s to Guzu received [redacted] confirmation that they received the package I have the proof of delivery and I received an email from Guzu on 11/**/15 that they received the phone and that it was accepted and I should see payment within 1 to 3 business days via [redacted]. That e-mail was on 11/**/15 and I have yet to receive payment or receive any further communication from them. Have sent numerous e-mail regarding the status of payment of the agreed upon 155.00 and have yet to see payment from them. Phone numbers for the company have been disconnected impossible to reach anyone.Desired Settlement: Would like either the payment of 155.00 or my Iphone 5s 64gb to be returned to me in the same excellent condition that it was sent to them.

Review: On October *, 2015 I mailed an IPhone 5s to Guzu with an agreement that they are buying my phone for $170.00. On October [redacted] I received an email that my Phone has been received aand approved for $170.00 and that a check will be generated in 1-3 business days and and I will receive an email whne the check is mailed out. On October [redacted] I emailed them asking what the staus is on my check and was told that they had some fraud on their accounts that they have a cash flow problem now and would let me know when it was resolved. I have not heard anythhing from them since . I have used this company before with no problemDesired Settlement: I would like them to either send me a check for the $170.00 that will not bounce or return my phone back to me. ASAP

Sincerely,

Review: This is a company that offers to buyback used cell phones. I have use their services in the past without a problem, But this time when I sent in my cellphone using their postage-paid label, I never received the $100 I was promised in return. They emailed me on July ** to say that I would be getting the check in five days, but the check never came, so I wrote to them again. They said they would cut me another check and mail it. That check never came. I tried calling the phone number in the footer of one of the emails, But it's an unnamed voicemail. I've left many messages but have heard nothing back and there is no other number to call. I decided to go on social media to see if they had any accounts. On their [redacted] page, [redacted], you will see nothing but complaints from other customers like me who have also not received their payments from this company. It seems they're now running some kind of scam, or they have gone out of business and have taken people's phones with them. I don't know. All I know is I want my money back or my phone so that I may trade it in somewhere else.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the $100 I am owed for my use cell phone, or receive my cell phone back so that I may trade it in somewhere else.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Guzu, Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

They emailed me on September [redacted] to say that they would be paying me what they owe me, by check, but since I know now from others on ** that their checks often bounce, I asked that they pay me via Venmo, an electronic service. The person who had replied (Lindsey Y[redacted]) said that they would do that. Despite nearly daily email reminders, however, they have yet to pay me a dime. Just another stall tactic on their part. An e-payment takes minutes to process, and it's now nearly a month later with nothing to show for it, and no further contact.

Review: I contacted Guzu through an online website, to "Buy Used Electronics" and was promised a cash payment for a iPhone 5, 16gb.. I sent a 16g iPhone 5 to them and was sent a check which was returned by my bank due to insufficient funds, I contacted Guzu and was sent another check which also was returned due to insufficient funds hats a total of two returned checks, resulting in a loss on my end due to bank fees. and a loss of my sent merchandise.Desired Settlement: I would like a VALID check that covers the original price of $176.15 and an additional $24 to cover my two bank fees each at $12.

Review: Got a quote for recycling my iPad Air of $**0 on Jul ** 2015, downloaded the prepaid [redacted] label and sent it to Guzu on 7/**/15. On 7/**/15 I received an email from Guzu that my package had been received by them and on 7/**/15 I received an email that my payment had been approved. On 8/*/15 I emailed them inquiring about my payment and received only an automated response that they were reviewing my inquiry. I emailed two more times, on 8/** and 8/**, each time receiving only the automated response. Yesterday, 8/2*/15, I sent an inquiry message directly from their website and also by email from my desk; again the only response is an automated one. I've checked my bank several times for their payment and it has not arrived. I'm at a loss for where to go from here; please help.Desired Settlement: Guzu has my iPad, I want my $**0 payment for it - it's that simple.

Review: Guzu operates a service where they purchase electronics for recycling. They agreed to pay me $260.00 for an Iphone 5s. I sent them the item and they stated they received it in good condition and would forward payment by [redacted] within 1 to 3 business days after receipt of the package. They received the phone on 11/* and have still not issued payment. This is false advertising and theft.Desired Settlement: $260.00 sent to me by [redacted] as previously agreed upon.

Was initially told that I could expect payment in 3 days, then 3-5, then [redacted] went down and they informed me that I'd have to take a check. The check was to be mailed a week ago, still no check, no money.Desired Settlement: I would like to be paid for the phones per the agreement, or I'd like the phones returned to me

Review: Guzu verified and approved for payment over $3000.00 worth of equipment from me in September of 2015. They guaranteed payment within 1-3 business days. It has been 4 months and no payment has been forthcoming. I have contacted (email) them numerous times requesting payment. On November [redacted] 2015 I received a reply to one of my inquiries apologizing for the delay and stating that payment was to be issued the following week. Still, I have yet to receive payment for the phones.Desired Settlement: I expect settlement/payment for products sold to GUZU exceeding $3000.00.

Review: I sent a Nokia 900 AT & t cell phone to this Service in early August.

Review: I sent in an iPhone 5 to be bought/recycled by this company Guzu on July **, 2015. Via [redacted]! They sent me an email July **, 2015 stating they have received my package and that I will receive another email when my payment is processed.

Indeed I did receive another email later that day stating approved and my payment will be processed within 1-3 business days, and will receive another email once payment has been sent out via [redacted]l.

Payment email: [redacted].

I've contacted the company via phone and email to see if maybe they could change payment to check just to find phone numbers disconnected. No response but automated via email which is kinda frustrating. I would like my device back that was sent to them...period! Rather to take my business elsewhere for better outcome.Desired Settlement: Wish for device to be returned....Period!

[Your Answer Here] I never received [redacted] payment as of yesterday August **, 2015 like Lindsey Y[redacted] of company Guzu emailed me and said. With apparently making contact to you as well saying same. Her phone number is ###-###-####.I feel as if I was told this via email to just abate me from handling it further with Revdex.com and sending Guzu emails explaining that it isn't proper conduct to treat clients/customers this way.Highly disappointed and would like payment with credit ASAP or phone back.Thank you![redacted]###-###-####?

Sincerely,

Review: Guzu is a company known for buying back used cellphones. I sent my phone to the company back in August with a promised payment of $110. I never received it. I have called and emailed multiple different lines and have heard nothing. I even went on facebook and tried to reach out with no answers. I decided to look further into my account with GUZU and also discovered the phone I had sent to them back in 2013 I hadn't been paid for either, which was $51. Although I am less concerned with the issue back in 2013 I am definitely looking to get my $110 payment in full for the phone I sent to them back in August 2015.Desired Settlement: I would like at least the $110 owed to me. Although I am less concerned about the $51 owed to me from nearly 3 years ago I wouldn't mind being refunded for this either.

Review: On 8/*/15, I received an email that I was approved for $195.00 for the recycling of my Samsung Galaxy S5. I was told that I would receive payment within 1-3 business days. After the 3 business days had passed, I still did not receive payment or any notification from Guzu, Inc. I tried contacting them via email ([redacted]), but still had not received a response. I searched the internet to find a phone number for the company, and was successful contacting them on 9/*/15 at ###-###-####. I spoke to Lindsay Y[redacted] in Customer Service. She said she had been out on maternity leave and that she would contact executive management in order to expedite my payment. She also stated that she only worked Monday, Wednesday and Friday. She then stated that I would receive payment either 9/*/15 or 9/*/15 (Labor Day) at the latest. After not receiving payment either of those days, I attempted to contact her again but was unable to reach her or anyone else at Guzu, Inc. I've been trying every day since the 9/*/15 to get in contact with anyone at the company. I don't know what else to do and am extremely frustrated.Desired Settlement: I would like either the money that was approved for the recycling of my phone or would like the phone to be returned to me ASAP.

Review: On July ** 2015, I placed an order to sell my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone to Guzu for $195. Guzu received my phone on July * and as of July ** I had not received payment. I tried contacting the company via every avenue -- email address, phone numbers (most numbers turned out to be invalid), social media -- before submitting a Revdex.com complaint. I finally had some traction and the company decided to send me a check instead of utilizing [redacted] per our original contract. The check was dated for July ** and received and deposited on Aug. *. The check bounced. Since then I've again tried every means of communication to try and get someone to respond and receive payment per my contract of $195, and now plus the $12 fee my bank charged me for depositing Guzu's bad check. The kicker is I called [redacted], [redacted], on Aug. * when I found out the check bounced and they were able to tell me Guzu's account is open and active but if a $195 check was written that day it would not be able to be paid out for insufficient funds. This is unethical and fraudulent business practice.Desired Settlement: I desire payment via [redacted] for $207 (the original contacted payment method in the agreed upon amount, plus bank charges for its bounced check). The other option is to return my exact Samsung Galaxy S5 to me.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because

At this time I cannot say this has been resolved the company DID issue payment through [redacted] but as of today that payment has not cleared. Also I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience with this company from inaccurate information advertised (3-5 business days to be paid) as well as being flat out lied to when asking where payment was (told I would have it next business day). However as soon as I get confirmation that payment has cleared I will consider this matter resolved, but I would highly recommend that Guzu fix their business practices and pay people in the allotted time set by them because 90% of the issues on here for them are the same problems I had. Which shows that my experience was not the exception but the normal way things are handled there
