Review: Guzu promises to pay you for your old electronics. I sent in an iPhone on October **, and received an email from Guzu on October ** that they received my package. Later on October ** I also received an email from Guzu stating my item had been approved and payment would be processed within 1-3 business days. I did not receive payment and I have sent emails to their customer service email address on October **, **, November *, and **. At no time did I receive any additional response from Guzu. In my email dated November ** I stated I would be contacting the Revdex.com and the State Attorney General's office. My order number is [redacted].Desired Settlement: I would like to receive payment for the iPhone in question, which is supposed to be $160.

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Guzu, Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

On November ** I received an email from Guzu saying my payment had been processed and that I should receive it within 5 business days. Today is December ** and I have not received payment or any additional information from the company.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Review: This complaint is about the business Guzu, phone recycling company that sends you payment for electronics sent to them. I have used them once in the past with no issues and quick payment. This time is completely different. I sent my cell phone to them and received an email that they received it. They would be sending payment in 2 to 3 days through [redacted] quick pay which is what they advertise and is the quickest form of payment. The phone was sent and email received on july [redacted]. After about 1 week, I began to send emails to Guzu and the seven different customer service addresses that I have in my address book. I also sent requests to [redacted] quick pay. I did get a couple responses from two representatives during the timeframe from a Lindsay and Amanda. Lindsay stated she was contacting management about the issue and would try to expedite the payment. After some time more and more emails, I received the email from Amanda stating that Guzu was working on their bank accounts because they had fradulent activity, that they would be sending payments out they were backed up. She did not give me a timeframe of any payment going out after I asked. I still have not received any payment or email response to this current date. The phone numbers that Guzu has go right to voicemail so email has been the only way to contact. It has been since July that I havent received payment and the lack of response has prompted the complaint. My order number for the Transaction is as follows: Order# [redacted] and Acct [redacted]. These numbers have no personal connection to me, just for the transaction.Desired Settlement: The resolution I am looking for is payment for the phone or to just send me the phone back.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[redacted]I did received a check from Guzu and I was notified by my bank today that the check for $75 was returned due to insufficient funds. The reason I did not respond earlier about the resolution is because I was waiting to see if the check cleared. I have received a hot check from them in the past, but they quickly corrected it.

Review: I have sent in a used cell phone for monetary exchange to this company. They have quoted a price, received the device, confirmed they have the device, and indicated they would provide payment in 1-3 days. It has been a month and they are no longer replying to any sort of communication. I would like to receive electronic payment immediately. If that is not possible, I would like the device returned to me. If they no longer have the device, I would like information on what government agency or law enforcement agency to contact to pursue legal action against this company for fraud and theft. This company continues to market their services to me after failing to uphold their end of the agreement and provide payment.Desired Settlement: Payment. Return of Device. Legal action.

Review: I sent my iPhone 4S to Guzu to recycle; they stated it was worth $40 and would send a check. 2 weeks go by, no check. I sent an email to Guzu inquiring about the check; customer service rep Lindsey stated they would resend. I did receive a check and deposited, only for the bank to return as NSF-along with a bank fee of $12. I've sent several emails to [redacted], also via their website. I called Lindsey/rep; general "not available " announcement that didn't indicate as a Guzu phone number. I also just called the 855 number listed on your site; no longer in service.Desired Settlement: Money order for $52:

$40 payment for iPhone,

$12 bank fee.

Review: I am writing in regard to a few business transactions that Guzu.com and I have done. Guzu is a group that purchase devices that people no longer want or can use. They purchase devices from laptops, ipads, cell phones etc. I have sold several items to Guzu before. In May 2013, I have sold several sell phones to Guzu. They paid me but the payment check bounced. Before I even noticed the payment bounced, they sent a replacement check to me. When I called to inquire about the replacement check payment, they advised me that a few payments they sent to customers have been recalled due to some fraud on their part. Due to me depositing the payment into my checking account with Bank of American, I was charged a return check fee. Guzu replaced the payment and added the return check fee that my bank charged. Since that time, I have sold several more items to Guzu. However, the payments have bounced twice. I’m currently in dispute with the last two payments from Guzu. One payment has bounced and another payment is pending. A payment of $960 was deposited into my account June **, 2013. The payment bounced on June **, 2013. I contacted a lady named [redacted], who I worked with in the past regarding the payment issues with the bounced check they were submitting. That’s how I was informed they were having issue with fraud. I left a voicemail for [redacted].(###-###-#### and ###-###-####) A supervisor named [redacted] (###-###-#### contacted me. He apologized for the issues with the payments. He offered to do wire transfer to my bank or to just apply the funds to my Pay pal. I advised him along with the $960 that bounced; I was owed another $1150 for other items I sold to him. He stated that he would have the total amount of $2146.00, which represents the payment of $960, the charged back fee of $36 from my bank and my other payment of $1150 for items that I sold to them. When I spoke with [redacted] on July *, 2013, he said was going to call me back before the close of business to confirm that the payment went out. He did not contact me again. Being that it was the * of July week, I figured that the full staff wasn’t working and that it may be delayed. I did make several contact attempts to [redacted] and [redacted] via their phone numbers. I even sent e-mails to [redacted] advising her of what [redacted] told me. I have not heard from anyone since July *, 2013. Today is July **, 2013 and they have not contacted me.Desired Settlement: I would like them to process my payment of $2146 with an additional $854 making the total payment $3000 due to the lenght of time and inconvenience. I have waited for them to contact me and respond to my e-mails. I have nothing to show for it. I sold them devices/ items in good faith and have not been paid accordingly. And when I have been paid, the payment bounces. That's not good business. They still send me e-mail advising me to sell my itmes to them. If they can't provide payment, at least return my itmes to me. All I really wanted is what's owed to me, which is $2146.

Business

Response:

Unfortunately were unable to process payments for the past two weeks. We will get this payment taken care of shortly.

Review: I was quoted 310 for my iPhone 6 and they aid I would receive payment when device is verified. I receive the email my device was received and approved for payment and that payment would be shipped in 1 to 3 business days. That was 6 days ago. I emailed the company as no number is listed with no response. They stole from me. I will take legal action if necessary.Desired Settlement: I want my payment of 310 as promised or the device returned in the condition sent. It was basically brand new

Review: Guzu changed the payment offer to me after receiving my iPad. I declined the new offer and requested they return to me my iPad. I have been waiting for over 10 days and still have not received my device. I have been emailing Guzu and attempting to make contact but do not get a response.Desired Settlement: I wish to get my device returned to me.

Review: I sent my iPhone 6 64GB White to Guzu on 8/**/2015 to sell on the agreed price of $400.00. On 8/**/2015 I received two emails stating that one, my item had been received, and two, my item had approved and payment was being sent. Payment was supposed to arrive 1-3 days later and has yet to come. Guzu still has my phone and will not return any of my emails.Desired Settlement: I want Guzu to stand by their commitment and pay me the $400 for my iPhone that we agreed upon.

Review: In November 2014 Guzu purchased my iPhone 5 32GB for the agreed price of $119.00. Per Guzu's email confirmation on November *, 2014 payment was being sent in the form of a check. This check bounced due to insufficient funds in Guzu's account. To rectify this, Guzu sent two replacement checks in the amount of $119.00 and $12.00 for the bank fee we incurred. On December **, 2014 my bank notified me both checks had bounced due to insufficient funds in Guzu's account. December **, 2014 I was advised by [redacted] at Guzu a cashiers check in the amount of $156.00 covering the 3 bounced check fees and original amount was being sent via usps. As of today we have not received this cashiers check. The last correspondence with [redacted] at Guzu was on December [redacted] advising "We are working on this and seeing if we can pay for faster shipping. I will keep you updated. " I have made repeated follow up attempts on December [redacted], [redacted] and January [redacted] with no response.Desired Settlement: I am requesting that Guzu make the payment of $156.00 in full by cashiers check sent via [redacted] or [redacted]

Sincerely,

Review: I sent an [redacted] IPhone 5 16GB for sell to GUZU Inc. When mailed it was undamaged and working. The offer was originally $200.80. I was sent an email upon their receipt of the phone that said the power button was damaged and they revised the offer to $136.00 which I reluctantly accepted. A check in the amount of $136 arrived and I took it to my bank to cash it. They gave me the cash. I got the check back from my bank in the mail with insufficient funds stamped across it and they debited $136 from my account for repayment. I want $136 reimbursed in the form of a cashiers check or money order that guarantees the money is there. I have contacted the company via email but haven't yet received a response.Desired Settlement: Money order or Cashier's check in the amount of $136 as agreed upon.

Sincerely,

Review: I mailed in my phone to them and I saw from the tracking number that they did receive the package. On their site it said that I should receive my money in about two weeks. It's now been close to eight weeks and I still have not received my money. The site has no phone number and no social media presence. When you send them an e-mail all you get is a canned response.

They have basically stolen my phone from me.Desired Settlement: I want the money that they said they would give me for my phone.

Response:

Payment was sent in via [redacted] Auto pay today 2/*/16. Thank you

Review: On January [redacted] I received an email from Guzu acknowledging that they had received my iPhone 5s and approved the purchase and that they would make payment to me in the amount of $140.00 with in 2-3 days . After not receiving any communication from Guzu I have sent numerous emails asking that they honor our agreement and make payment to me.

I have received several emails acknowledging receipt of my communication and that payment will be sent shortly. these emails appear to be auto generated in that that message is always the same exact wording. Still no Payment. They do continue to send me promotional ads.

I contacted the company that does their promotional ads (Constant Contact) and explained my concern with Guzu, they assured me that they would look into the matter and that they take complaints seriously, I don't know what the resolution has been from their end. However I still have not received a payment.Desired Settlement: Payment that we agreed to or the return of my iPhone 5s with with the proper serial number which I have on record.

Review: I have not received my payment of $245 and they are not answering my e-mails.Desired Settlement: I need to get paid or get my phones back.

Response:

This customer will be paid via [redacted] QuickPay by the end of this week.
