Review: I sent them $750 worth of used iPhones, as I've used them in the past without issue. This was two separate orders, the first was for $570 which a check was issued for and deposited. The check was returned [redacted] and I was charged $12 for the returned check. The second order was for $180 and a check has never been issued/received, even though I received an e-mail stating that it had been issued. So they currently owe me $762. In correspondence on 7/**/2015 Lindsey Y[redacted] stated that she would be sending a money order for that amount and would let me know the tracking number. I've not been able to contact her since. I continue to get marketing e-mails from them about twice a week.Desired Settlement: They need to pay me for the phones I sent them, that at this point, they have stolen. They owe me and need to pay me $762.

Review: I registered with Guzu to buy back my Apple [redacted]. They sent me all materials to send the phone to them for an agreed upon price of $300. I received notification that they received the device after I sent it out. I was notified on December *, 2015 that I would receive payment in 1-3 business days. I complained about receiving payment on 12/*/15 and I was told that they had some fraud which affected their bank accounts and would get payment out to me soon. To date, I have still not received payment. Guzu does not return any emails.Desired Settlement: I would either like the $300 payment OR my phone back.

Review: Guzu agreed to pay me $105.00 for a 32GB iPhone 5 on July **, 2015. I received an email on August *, 2015 letting me know that they had received the iPhone, it was approved and that my payment would be processed in 1-3 business days. It's now been over four months and they have not responded to any of my emails.

I see that Guzu is having major problems related to their lack of cash.Desired Settlement: Obviously I want the agreed upon check that I am supposed to receive, but I would really just like a response from Guzu. And I also want others to know to avoid using Guzu.

Review: We acted on an advertisement from Guzu to pay us $80 for a used iPhone 5s. We followed the procedures for shipping the phone to the company and were promised payment within 3-5 days. We have [redacted] tracking confirmation that the device was received in their offices on 9/**/15 and we have yet to receive payment. We have attempted several times to contact the company to request that the payment be sent or the phone be returned and have been unsuccessful in resolving the matter.Desired Settlement: I expect to receive a money order for the amount promised or to have the phone returned to us.

Early in the process they had requested details regarding my complaint; I've not heard from them since, however. They have my phone and have not made good on their offer. We have not received any funds from this company...phone was sent to them (we have proof it was signed for) almost 4 months ago.

Review: My Wife and I agreed to sell a IPhone 6 64gig and a iPhone 6+ 64gig to this company via their web page. The phones were sent in and received by guzu on 9/**/15 and 10/*/15. This is verifiable via [redacted] tracking. The company confirmed receipt and said payment would be mailed out in 3-5 business days. Order numbers are [redacted] and [redacted]. The iPhone 6 agreed price was eventually settled for 310 due to a crack and the 6+ agreed price is $460. I have reached out to the company via their web pages 4+times with NO response. They do not list a phone number. I contacted them via [redacted], got a response asking for the order numbers and stating they would help, I provided these numbers and they person said they would help. I have still not heard back since they said they would help over a week ago.Desired Settlement: I want return of my original iphones or payment for each as agreed on $310 + $460 for a total of $770

Review: Hello I traded in my device to you mid September. I have yet to receive my check. You have stated 3 or more times that your system was hacked and you are unable to send my check for $365 to me. 4 months for a check from a large company is unacceptable. If I do not get confirmation on a check being mailed to me I want me device returned

Your Order Information:

Order Number: [redacted]

Account Number: [redacted]

Total Payment Amount: $365.00

Payment Method: BusinessCheck

Payment Address: [redacted]Desired Settlement: I just want my device returned. I do not want a check as I see from others that the check bounces.

Review: Over a month ago, we sent our phone to this company for payment. The agreed upon mount was $100, and we received an email that our payment would be submitted. This was a month ago. 10 emails later, we have not received a response, or a payment. I believe this company is a scam, and legal action needs to be taken to shut them down if they are going to steal people's property.Desired Settlement: I would like my $100 check or amount issued via Pay Pal, and I would also like a call from the company with an explanation to why there was a delay, and how 10 emails can go unanswered.

Review: I have done business with this company for about 6 months for recycling used cell phones & blackberry units. The most recent phone sent to them in July was when the problem began. I sent them a Verizon iPhone 6 & they quoted me $405. When they received it, I received an email from Lindsey Y[redacted] on July **, 2015 telling me the unit was locked and it was not a Verizon phone and they changed the quote to $110. I emailed her to verify the imei # and that $110 was not acceptable and to send me back the phone. I did not get a response from her, although on August [redacted] I received an email from GUZU referencing order#[redacted] for my $110 payment for the phone was on its way. I have not received payment nor the iPhone 6 nor a response to any of my numerous emails to follow up on status & to track my payment that I never received. I have sent them several emails, called them and no response...no check payment....no phone. If they can't pay for the devices they quote then they should not be quoting us and stealing our devices. I want my phone returned or the payment and it sounds like they have no money because they are issuing checks that bounce. They need to get their act together to avoid the lawsuits that are going to be coming at them. They are crooks! DO Not Send them your Device!!!Desired Settlement: I want my iPhone 6 returned to me or payment in full to me as promised.

Review: My wife and I each sold our Iphone 5s to Guzu. The first check we received bounced and we were charged a $12.00 fee. After several attempts to contact someone at Guzu (impossible to get a valid phone number or receive a response to an email) another check was issued. THE SECOND CHECK BOUNCED AS WELL! We were charged another $12.00 fee.

On July [redacted] we sent an email to Lindsey Y[redacted] "customer service". It took her four (4) days to respond to the email. Ms. Y[redacted] "assured us that check would clear this time". We immediately provided her proof of the bounced check and the additional $12.00 fee.

Three days later, on July [redacted] we send Ms. Y[redacted] a follow up email. She has yet to return any email or phone call. This company is an absolute JOKE. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH! WHAT KIND OF COMPANY DOESN'T HAVE A VALID PHONE NUMBER AND TREATS IT'S CUSTOMERS LIKE SUCH [redacted]?Desired Settlement: TO BE CONTACTED AND PAID MY MONEY!

Review: I sold my iPhone 5s to Guzu in August 2015 for $175. I finally got the check in January but it bounced. Apparently this is an issue they have had a lot. This is theft by deception. I had a $5 fee from the bank for the check bouncingDesired Settlement: A refund of $175 plus the $5 for bounced check OR my phone returned.

Business

Response:

This is the first time that we hear from this customer's bounced check. We will replace the check and the fee.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I have been emailing Guzu.com since last Monday. They were mostly nonresponsive, but finally on Friday the customer service representative Amanda said I would get paid via [redacted] my $180. I still have not received, and I have not received any responses to further emails. I have also tried contacting the CEO Hesam M[redacted]. Last week via [redacted] he promised he would check on my order and I haven't heard back from him or anyone else. Attached are attempts at reimbursement. I received the rejected check from my bank, it was rejected for insufficient funds. I am concerned that the company does not have the funds to pay me. If they do not I would like my phone back with the original SIM card plus the $5 for the bounced check fee.

Review: I sold my damaged Iphone 5 to Guzu who quoted, then offered me $175.00 for my damaged phone. Upon receiving my phone, the original quote

suddenly went down to $20.00 which I declined and asked to have my phone returned well within the thirty days as per thier allotment. [redacted] from Guzu informed me that my case was closed. So I am out $175.00 from the sale of my phone and cant buy a new phone or used phone because again I am out $175.00 that they originally quoted me.

Case # [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like the $175.00 which was quoted then offered to me minus $20.00=$155.00 refunded to me

Review: Guzu told me that my iPhone 5 was worth $140 if I sent it in. I payed to get the phone shipped to them on 10/**/2014 at 2:34 pm. I got an email on 10/**/2014 saying they've received the phone I would get the money in 1-3 business days through my [redacted]. I received another email on the [redacted] of October that said my item has been approved and the payment will be processed within 1-3 business days. On the [redacted] of October I got another email from the representative I was emailing back and forth, [redacted] that she had put in a request to have have my funds deposited into my [redacted] account. I still have not received any payment to this day. I don't think it should take a whole week to get a payment after they already received the phone. And from the looks of the comments I'm not the only one who hasn't gotten their money.Desired Settlement: I would like to get the money that I am owed. I sold them this phone because I have something very important to pay for and needed that extra cash. Also I would like to see that this doesn't happen to other people, maybe the business should get fined or something.

Review: I sent my iphone 5s to Guzu a company that buys and sells phones on November ** and was received on the [redacted]. Guzu offered me a payment of $65 for my iPhone5s and I would receive by Venmo in 1-3 business days. After a few days

Of no refund I contacted them in which they told me they are having fraud issues so there's a large amount of people they are paying before me. I have emailed many times, and only getting a response sometimes, with no date of when I will receive my refund. Amanda from Guzu added $20 additional to my refund which will equal $85 however at this point I think this business might be shady, and not pay me at all. I would like a refund since I was promised 1-3 business days and now it's a month.Desired Settlement: $85.00

Review: Hello

I have ben contacted by Guzu through email that they have received my cell phones and that I would get paid $310 dollars for them. It is well past the time stated by 16 days. I have contacted them about payment and they responded with that they are having financial difficulties. I see their site is still up and running promising the same thing about payment as was promised me through the site. I have asked for a timeline of payment or my cell phones back. I received a response that they were unable to give me a timeline and no offer to send back my phones.Desired Settlement: I would just like to get paid the $310 dollars promised or get some sort of documentation that I can take them to small claims court for the $310 dollars.

Review: I sent my iphone to Guzu in October 2015. I received an email confirmation saying they received the iphone. I am still waiting on my check from Guzu. Additionally, I have tried to contact the company several times with no response.Desired Settlement: Appropriate payment as stated in the agreement.

Review: I mailed in my used IPhone 5s for them for an agreed upon price of $175. They e-mailed me on 10/**/15 saying my check payment was on the way for $175. I have never received the payment and they will not return my e-mails. Also, all phone numbers available for company are not in service. Also, there are numerous complaints about this same issue happening to other customers.Desired Settlement: I would like my payment of the $175 owed to me my merchant.

Review: Guzu takes in old cellphones and will pay the consumer an agreed upon price once the cellphone is received by the company and determined to agreed upon condition. Cellphone was mailed to Guzu and they received the cellphone and approved the phone to be in agreed upon condition. I was sent an email stating that the $100 price would be sent to my paypal account within 1-3 business days. That was approximately 1 month ago. I have sent 4 emails requesting an update and received a standard email in return stating that a representative would respond back to me within 24-48hrs. To this date I have not received any email about my account from Guzu explaining any delay's or letting me know when I will be paid.Desired Settlement: I would like either my $100 or my cellphone returned

Review: On July [redacted], 2015, I mailed my unlocked iPhone 5 64GB to Guzu. Per my agreement with Guzu, I was offered $130 if the iPhone was received and found to be in working condition. Guzu promised payment via [redacted] within 1-3 business days after receiving and approving my phone.

On July [redacted], 2015, I received an email from Guzu confirming that my phone had been received and approved. The email promised payment via [redacted] within 1-3 business days. As of today, December [redacted], 2015, I still have not received any payment from Guzu for my phone.

I have emailed Guzu five separate times to follow up on this issue and have not received a response. I tried calling Guzu at the number provided on the website, only to find that the number has been disconnected. At this point, I'm left to conclude that Guzu has stolen my phone and has no intention of providing the agreed upon payment. It has been over four months since Guzu received and approved my phone. In that time, Guzu has ignored every single one of my communications (despite continuing to send promotional emails encouraging me to send in additional devices) and has not compensated me for taking my property.Desired Settlement: I request payment for $130 via [redacted] for the iPhone 5 64GB that Guzu received on July [redacted], 2015.
