[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Assumed Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I would agree with this response, if only any of the events stated were true I have attached documents, unanswered emails, a voicemail transcript, and a complete statement All this disproves what your tax preparer is claiming She never identified the issue The issue was not identified until her office manager was forced to go through the return with her She left me a voicemail just before that happened, still identifying the wrong problem (in Febof 2016, when this issue began in Septof 2014) Once her office manager asked me for the specific document, on a Monday, which happened to be President's Day, I had it in his email by Friday! She never once identified a missing document that I needed to provide She did at one point lose ALL of my documents, but when she told me she had lost them, she also told me not to worry, that she would find them Eventually, that must've happened because they were returned to me when I met with her office manager Can you provide one date of contact where she asked me to obtain a document? One email? One letter sent? NO, you cannot, because it never happened It is just nonsensical to think I would be so lazy as to not provide this document, when in fact, it actually reduced my tax liability and increased my refund and it only took a five minute phone call and an email! I have proven my diligence in handling my personal matters in my handling of this situation I have not been responded to in the manner or time I was told one time by your company I have had to reach out to your associates every time Your employee was very clearly negligent, in not dealing with this issue for months I even had other Block employees reach out to her requesting status updates She didn't return my calls, EVER! Then her office manager lied to me, forcing me to transfer power of attorney instead of revoke it! I cannot believe this type of behavior is condoned! This has cost me a lot of money, and unbearable amount of stress, and so much of my time, it's unbelievable, so no, I do not accept this response! I think you need to check the facts! Dear Revdex.com,In response to Mr [redacted] ’s rebuttal, the additional money and time Mr [redacted] is referring to pertains to his and possibly his tax return in which neither returns were prepared by H&R BlockAs for the tax return prepared at a franchise office, the tax authority notice presented to the office was dated 2/13/A claim was submitted on the client’s behalf on 2/29/The claim was approved and a check was sent on 3/20/within the allotted timeframe per the terms and conditions of the Peace of Mind® Extended Service Plan warranty (“Warranty”) which states in part: Once the final determination has been made with the tax authority, and if additional taxes are owed due to H&R Block's error, the office will submit your claim to the Peace of Mind Claims Department where it will be reviewed and processed within four to six weeks.It is the franchisee’s belief that this matter has been addressed and that there is no further due diligence on their part concerning Mr [redacted] ’s tax return.We trust this response will allow your office to close your fileHowever, should you have additional questions or desire to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact meSincerely, [redacted] Associate Business AnalystH&R Block

My fee to them for tax preparation for 2013 was in excess of $500. How can they claim that they are reimbursing me my preparation fee when they actually are not refunding me what I paid? I have had 8 months of misleading answers and ZERO accountability from them for their mistake. Yes I get to wait another 2-3 months to get money back from the State that should never have been paid in if they had not compounded their original mistake with a second mistake!! I paid for the Peace of Mind guarantee and all that seemed to guarantee me is a run around by H&R Block. If they are stating they are refunding me my processing fee for that year then do it, but make it the amount I actually paid!Regards, [redacted]
