Dear Revdex.com, In review of this matter, our records reflect that Ms [redacted] applied for the H&R Block Emerald Advance line of credit offered by H&R Block Bank and was approved for the amount of $on 11/21/Emerald Advance payments are due on or before the payment due date; at least the minimum payment must be paid every month until the balance is completely payed down by the required date of February 15th of each yearAs per the terms and conditions of the H&R Block Emerald Advance line of credit, interest accrues daily and post monthlyIn this case, we confirm that Ms [redacted] was charged the amount of interest applicable to the Emerald Advance line of credit of which she was approvedIn further research of this matter, our records reflect that Mrs [redacted] chose to file using our RAC productRefund Anticipation Check (RAC) is a service offered for an additional fee plus the cost of preparation that allow our client to pay all applicable fees through their tax refund rather than having to pay out of pocketOur client is also given the option to direct deposit their tax refund in an external bank account or on the H&R Block Emerald Card (EC)If the RAC is not chosen then the other option offered to our client is the IRS Direct Deposit (IRS DD) to an Emerald CardBy choosing IRS DD to EC, all applicable fees associated with the preparation of our clients tax return must be paid upon e-filing the returnThis option also authorizes H&R Block to automatically sweep the Emerald Card and pay down the Emerald Advance balance After which all remaining funds are deposited to the Emerald Card on record.We have provided attachments for Ms [redacted] 's review: (1) The Emerald Advance Application showing the amount she was approved for; (2) Transaction history for the Emerald Advance accountWe sincerely apologize for any misunderstandings our client has as it relates to the Emerald Advance Line of creditHowever, the debt is valid and for that reason we must respectfully decline Ms [redacted] 's request to return the funds.We trust this response will allow your office to close your fileHowever, should you have additional questions or desire to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact me Sincerely, Michelle U [redacted] Associate Business AnalystH&R Block

I filed my EZ form with H & R Block on January 21, and I still have not received my refund In the meantime,I've missed copious days of work due to being in excruciating pain, unable to have sexual intercourse, not being able to help my mother financially, who lost her husband months ago along with half her monthly income, his Social security, the , and adjective escapes me to describe the mental anguish The attorney I spoke to actually was able to list almost a dozen other consequences due to H & R Blocks negligence I can go on and onI can assure you of this, I've spoken to of the local media stations in our areaThey are very interested in doing a story on their news channels about the hell H & R Block has put me thruAt the bare minimum, I can assure you of this, my experience with H & R Block will be on the local news and with any luck, the national news You have my sworn promise that the public will know every unbelievable and unethical part of this storyThis I promise youThere is no need for H & R Block to respond to thisI'll handle all this by myself and with a little help from some friendsRegards, [redacted]

In response to this matter, our investigation has determined that Ms [redacted] complaint is against an independently owned and operated franchise office, which has the responsibility to resolve matters directly with your office and with the client H&R Block prepares millions of tax returns each year, and if we do make an error, we are committed to making the situation right It is H&R Block Franchisee, David Steven's belief that he has done so in this case by amending Ms [redacted] tax return to accurately reflect the appropriate information as she was mistakenly recorded as an [redacted] residentMrS [redacted] also corrected a typo on a prior year return and paid penalty and interest assessed for the error (explained below) and he offered a free return to be prepared for Ms [redacted] In Ms [redacted] had another company discover a mistake with a typo on real estate tax deduction on one of her rentalsMs [redacted] informed MrS [redacted] of the errors and he corrected it, resulting in Ms [redacted] having to pay $as a correction of the tax assessed for [redacted] When Ms [redacted] received the interest and penalty assessment from [redacted] , it was mailed to MrS [redacted] who issued payment per the H&R Block GuaranteeAt that time, MrS [redacted] states he also offered to prepare a return for free for the coming year, however, Ms [redacted] informed him that it was already being doneAll of these instances occurred within the same calendar year that the return was paid for MrS [redacted] believes he has assisted Ms [redacted] to the fullest and at this time is declining her request for a refund of preparation fees, as all return matters brought to his attention were corrected and Ms [redacted] declined the offer for a free return next season As a result, we consider this matter resolvedWe assure you that we take the concerns of our clients seriously and make every effort to resolve matters thoroughly and fairly We respectfully ask the Revdex.com to close this caseHowever, if you should need anything further or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me Sincerely, Destini [redacted]
