Dear Revdex.com, In response to Mr [redacted] ’s complaint, our review of this matter reflects that a state return was preparedOur records also indicate that Mr [redacted] declined efiling their state return H&R Block provided a service to Mr [redacted] which was to prepare a Federal And State tax returnIf our client’s choose to paper file their tax return it is the client’s responsibility to mail the documents to the IRS/State Our office has been in communication with the District Manager and concluded that at this time there are no known errors on the state return, and a refund of fees will not be issuedAlso, H&R Block is not responsible for any late filing penalties As a result, we consider this matter resolvedWe respectfully ask the Revdex.com to close this case

Dear Revdex.com,H&R Block disagrees with Mr [redacted] ***'s allegationsOur investigation reflects that the Peace of Mind claims have been reviewed twice and denied or partially paid for the following reasons:Business expenses were disallowed by the IRS due to lack of substantiation The auditor indicated that the expenses claimed were unreasonableThe auditor determined that Mr [redacted] did not have an area in his home that was used regularly and exclusively for businessHe also determined that most of the miles driven didn't qualify as business useThen he disallowed all expenses and attempted to reclassify the business as a hobbyH&R Block appealed the auditor's position with an amended return claiming only expenses for which Mr [redacted] had receipts and removing the deduction for business use of the homeThe appeal was accepted and finalized on July 1, H&R Block is not responsible for the dis-allowance of expenses that weren't backed up with receiptsOur records further indicate Mr [redacted] *** told the tax preparer that he met the qualifications for the deduction and also had a room in his condominium used only for storage of business equipmentMr [redacted] states the professional didn't ask any questions about the business use of his car, but the tax professional states she did discuss the rules regarding auto mileage with the clientThe Peace of Mind claim for was denied as the return was prepared correctly with the information provided by Mr [redacted] ***H&R Block does admit to making an error or duplicating the home office expenses on the return and we paid that portion of the error to Mr [redacted] ***, per Peace of Mind.While we regret Mr [redacted] ***'s dissatisfaction with our company, we consider all issues addressed and this matter closedWe ask the Revdex.com to note our efforts to resolve this matter thoroughly and fairlyHowever, if you should need anything further or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact meSincerely, [redacted] ***Associate Business AnalystH&R Block

Dear Revdex.com,In resolution to this matter, our investigation reflects that Mrs [redacted] ’s complaint is against a franchise office which has the responsibility to resolve this matter directly with your office and directly with the clientRecords show that Mrs [redacted] returned to H&R block on 3/21/with printed tax information/documents to prepare her tax return as she was previously advised during a visit on 3/10/when attempting to present her personal flash drive to her tax professional, that due to compliance reasons, H&R Block could no longer pull information from the driveThe tax return was completed on 3/25/Mrs [redacted] was contacted and returned to the office on 3/28/to review and sign the returnAt that point, Mrs [redacted] advised the tax professional that she thought there might be income missingThe tax professional suggested that Mrs [redacted] hold off on filing the return to allow more time to look it overMrs [redacted] did not agree and wanted to proceed with the filing of her return and indicated that if additional income was discovered at a later time then she would return to the office to have an amended return preparedIt was made clear to Mrs [redacted] , that if she returned to office to request an amended return, a fee would applyOn 3/28/2015, the first amended return was prepared to add incomeAdditionally, a second amended return was prepared on 7/5/to add 1099-K information that was also not previously provided to the tax professional on the original returnThe second amendment however, resulted in an IRS audit which the franchised office personnel attended with the client’sThe audit was conducted at the client’s place of business and revealed other income that the clients had failed to reportIt was later determined that the rental income or activity from the two families that were living above the Mrs [redacted] ’s store where the audit took place, had not been included on the taxpayers returns.August of 2015, a third amended return was prepared as Mrs [redacted] implied that the income from the 1099K was reported twice by HRBIt is the franchisees belief that the income was reported in the manner that it was provided to the tax professional and that any additional taxes, penalties or interest owed is a result of the client’s failure to report the additional income accurately and timelyIf you should need anything further or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact meSincerely, Quintina [redacted] Associate Business AnalystH&R Block

Firsy off H&R block messed up amd have the proof with that being saidThey need to do there job correctly and not say things that not true thats advertisingThey NEVER TOLD ME THAT THERE WERE FEES FOR THE FEDERAL 1040EZ OR ANY OTHER FORM OF TAXS CLAIMS!!! Which means that need to give me a full Refund because they violated my rights and went back on there 100% accuracy tax filing guarantee period!!! [ I am copying below the email I sent to [redacted] who prepared our taxesI sent the email on September [redacted] told me in an email that she was connecting me to her district manager, which she never did, nor I have received any response to the email I am pasting belowHandR Block have not come back to me with any meaningful communication to remedy the tax errors thay have madeI need them to fix the tax return and also do the same for and My Cell number in [redacted] is: [redacted] they promised to call me, or they can send an emailthey can also skype with me at [redacted] ' [redacted] - I have not heard from your district manager.Is it possible to revisit the tax return and also look at the tax return as wellFor some reason shows only dollar income when we made much more than thati am sure I am missing something, but I do not have the tax returns in front of me to see the details.I have paid more than dollars for and there is another notice for more dollars from IRS.in regards to tax returnthe banks have denied refinance our home because the income was so low in Overall, we need to relook at the and taxes and file an amended for both years to get us on the right track.As you know for tax, I first contacted the HandR block international division and they asked me to upload all of my tax papers online, which I did, they also asked me to fill out a lengthy intake form, which I did, I then scanned it and sent to themthen they kept saying that I should receive my completed tax return with days timeand it took them month...at which point I went to USA and seek you out as I was so tired of HandR block International delaying completing the taxesSo you see, I am really frustrated with HandR in getting us in so much financial hardshipCan you send me an email of what you plan to do to remedy this situation, Pleaseand also if you could send me the contact and name of your district supervisorThank you, [redacted] ] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Regards, [redacted]

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: One of the first reasons why we want to reject this response is because we have not heard from H&R Block and tomorrow is the 14th day, in which they stated that they would contact us if the funds were not returned or if they did not receive a response from [redacted] Another reason why we want to reject the response is because the mistake was made by one of their tax associates and [redacted] will not accept any blame for the mistakeInstead, they now say that if they cannot resolve the issue within days, that we will have to deal with [redacted] ourselves to get the moneyHowever, when we were in the process of trying to receive the funds by going to the IRS as H&R Block directed us, even the IRS stated that they could not help us and that the money was in the "H & R Block bank." Also, when we talked to an H&R Block regional manager he told us that the funds were in the "H&R Block bank" as well We feel that this cannot be the banks mistake because the bank only processed the routing numbers that H &R Block provided them, but they were the wrong routing numbersWe knew of this issue because the associate's fellow coworkers found that she had used the old routing numbers to process our tax returnsWe are trying very hard to be patient with H&R BlockWe never thought H&R Block and their services would become this difficultWe really hope that you can continue to help us and give us guidance at the very least(Attached is the letter H&R Block provided us) Regards, [redacted] and *** [redacted]
