Review: I booked a cleaning service. The first attempt to service, the woman was thirty minutes late and then had to leave after 1.5 hours (I scheduled a three hour cleaning). I rescheduled the cleaning and received a confirmation for the new appointment for 7am. The night before, I received at email at 830pm canceling the appointment. I check my email at work, at 8am, so I waited until 730am for the cleaning person to show up, not realizing the appointment had been canceled via late night email. I rescheduled the appointment and the same thing happened again. Luckily this time I checked my email at 10pm. The company completely inconvenienced me and I do not want this to happen to others.Desired Settlement: Instead of a late night template email canceling the appointment, a personal phone call would be great, as well as giving the customer the next available appointment to reschedule. A 24 hour cancellation policy should be in place, so that the customer has 24 hours to find another company to clean if Handybook is going to cancel.

Review: Most recently, after Handy confirmed three times verbally on a call in to customer support that my bookings with them were canceled, they did not in fact cancel them and charged me for a booking two months later. In trying to dispute the charge, Handy has shut down their phone number for customer support and presented an unreasonable barrier to communicate with them. Questions with their online support appear to be replied to by a computer program posing as real people since they cannot provide even basic answers to simple questions.

this is not the first time I have had problems with Handy. They built their product in such a way that they Opted you In to recurring bookings for cleaning services without making that clear. To make a booking only for one time, you then would have to spend 2 hours tracking down their phone number and calling in to change the booking not recurring. They never provide written confirmation of such changes, even when requested to.Desired Settlement: To start I want a refund for the last booking. I would like some compensation for all the time and effort they have required me to go through for a very simple request. And finally, on principal I am appalled at handy's behavior. They are either grossly negligent or intentionally misleading. I think they are practicing unethical business practices and need to be reformed.

Review: The Handy service worker did not provide the services asked for. She was also late and still there after the time she should have left. She only cleaned 2 of the 4 rooms she was supposed to clean and behaved in an unprofessional way when I asked her why they were not cleaned. There is no way to contact this company. I wrote 4 different complaints through their app and website. I've tried to cancel my recurring services and it keeps telling me I will receive an email with instructions. I have not received anything. I became more afraid after reading unbelievably terrible reviews about the company. I called my bank and had to pay for a stop payment for any recurring charges they may try to charge me for.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund and to get out of my recurring service arrangement.

Review: We attempted to use Handy Cleaning Services through [redacted] and we were scheduled, but they never came to perform the house cleaning service. They billed my credit card and never even called me. When I did get in touch with them they said they would refund the money, but never did. We tried to reschedule and again were stood up.Desired Settlement: In addition to getting my card credited for services not rendered, I would like to keep them from ripping off anyone else. Their website is a scam without any contact information at all (handy.com). After this happening twice, we believe this company to be a fraud.

Review: I signed up for a one time cleaning w/ handy but they enrolled me into a frequent cleaning plan. It very hard to cancel an appointment w/ them. The cleaning person showed up for the 2nd appointment in the plan and I felt obligated to let her clean my place since Handy will charge my cc anyways.

The resolution that I want is for them to cancel my account and refund me for the 2nd cleaning. I am unhappy w/ their services.Desired Settlement: 1 - cancel my account

The recurring set up was first placed on your account on November ** when you scheduled your December * booking with the coupon REFERRAL_US, which was redeemable only for recurring services. At this time, you selected a monthly recurring set up. The recurring set up was not disabled, and continued to generate bookings. The booking from January * was the second generated cleaning on this plan. The cleaning plan has since been disabled, there are no cleanings confirmed for future dates, nor will any be generated automatically. Additionally, the $58 charge was refunded to you yesterday, January *, and will post back in 3-5 business days. I've also had your credit card information removed from our third party, secure, payments processor. Please advise that the last four digits of your card will remain on file for proof of previous purchases.

Review: I called the customer service line and spoke with a representative over a month a go to refund my $58 for a cancelled booking (which was well before the 24 hour grace period). The representative informed me that my credit card would be refunded within 5 business days. It was not and still has not been refunded - it now appears as "credit" to a future booking which should not be the case. I also asked the representative to cancel all future bookings which the representative assured me had been done. It was not and I received an email today saying my cleaning professional would be arriving at 10am tomorrow. There is now no contact information for this company and everything must be done thru the application. Therefore I had to cancel the booking for tomorrow (which should not have been in place) and they are now charging me $15 because it is less than 24 hours away.Desired Settlement: I should be refunded $73 ($15 cancellation fee + $58 credit that should have been refunded over a month ago).

Review: Signed up for what appeared for one cleaning service with an option to do bi monthly cleanings. Second appointment never booked never clarified. Got a text at 739 am this morning saying cleaner on the way. I did not know that was going to happen, I was at work no key to let them in. No phone number to call to cancel, had to cancel via email. Contacted the company asked for refund as it was not clear to me that I was going to be charged for another cleaning today. Handy responded back saying that I canceled within two hours of my appointment and therefore money is not refundable. However I was not aware I was on automatic pay and biweekly cleanings. Only knew because of the text at 739 for an appointment at 930, never put this appointment in or scheduled. And handy did not make clear when I made an appointment two weeks earlier for 930 that this time and day in two weeks they would send someone else and charge me.Desired Settlement: That they refund all my money for today's canceled cleaning appointment and clarify on their website what you ate signing up for.

Review: I have been trying to reach someone by phone at HANDY to get a pending visit cancelled. The phone just loops me in a recorder line with music and a customer person never answers. This business seems very unprofessional and a scam. I had to cancel my credit card just to take control of cancellation on my part. However they still have me scheduled and likely will try to charge my card. I do not want to deal any further with this so called business. It seems like it is impossible to cancel with this company. This is messed up.

If you want more details ---call me.Desired Settlement: ASAP --- To have them get me out of PENDING and them to loose my number and delete any of my contact and financial info. And never to do business with them.

Review: My girlfriend and I used Handy to clean our apartment prior to us moving out. Immediately following the service, which we were very pleased with, my girlfriend went onto the website in an attempt to cancel any future services or charges. She cancelled all of the appointments that the company had already automatically scheduled for us without asking us, and changed the settings so that when we wanted a cleaning in the future it had to be scheduled by us. At this same time she attempted to remove the credit card that was being associated with our online account, there is no way on the website for her to do this though so she left it. When she exited the website she assumed that there would be no more appointments scheduled without our choosing so, and even though the credit card was still associated there wouldn't be any new charges without our approval.

Now, nearly two months later, my girlfriend received a text message telling her that our appointment was in two hours for another cleaning. She immediately called the company and was informed you could not cancel within two hours and there would be no refund. After several minutes of complaining she was finally able to cancel the appointment but they still refused to provide a refund. Then when we told them we would just have the service come and then tell them we weren't satisfied so we could get a refund, they claimed to be unable to reschedule any appointments. In the end they refused to provide the service paid for or provide a refund. We talked to Marcus (customer service employee, cancelled the appointment), then to his floor supervisor Tiara (who told us that there would be no refund and they couldn't reschedule the appointment so we could demand out money back) she was the last person we were allowed to talk to, but were told her supervisor is Kimberly and we weren't allowed to talk to her.

Along with this horrible phone experience the experience with the website has been nearly as bad. There is no way on the website to remove your profile, you can change your information to make yourself less identifiable but it cannot be removed at our own discretion. There is also no way to remove your credit card that is associated with the websiteDesired Settlement: Refund of the $60 that has been charged, removal of our account from the website, an apology from the company and a reformation of their policy page to reflect the lack of a money back guarantee or that there is no cancellation period. Review: I hired movers from Handy to help me move. A few hours before the scheduled time, I realized I was running late and texted both movers to ask if a new time works. They both confirmed the new time. Upon arrival, when I tried to contact both movers, both phones were disconnected and I couldn't find either of them. Handy refused to give me a refund even though I got no help and is saying because I cancelled the reservation within 2 hours of the appointment. The thing is, I notified the movers to schedule a new time 4 hours before the reservation and I have a verbal "okay" from both of them. Then, I never cancelled, the movers just didn't show up and they are saying I cancelled.Desired Settlement: I believe that I didn't get the service I paid for, and instead got scammed by the company. The movers I hired didn't show up and they cancelled on me without prior warning. I demand a full refund and an apology for the experience. I ended up unloading a 10 footer full of large furniture alone up a 3 story walk up in the rain.

Hello there, we took a look at this complaint and we can see that the movers waited outside of the customer's home for over an hour after the customer reported they would be late. They still did not show and were forced to leave. At this time we are not going to be able to process a refund.

Review: Hired for 1 house cleaning for mid-December. Has continued to send person and charge my credit card in January and February even though I have turned service person away, and have telephoned, sent emails, responded to their text and tried to log in on web site at least 6 times, with account blocked every time.
