Please be advised that the accounts at issue were previously placed with our office for collection by the City of Richmond Virginia ("City") for delinquent personal property taxes ranging from to These accounts were placed with our office on May 21, On January 26, 2015, Mr*** called in to our office and spoke to one of our representativesThe record reflects that he disputed liability towards the underlying accounts and stated that he would follwith the CityOn February 12, 2015, the accounts were subsequently closed in our office and returned to the City as required per agreementBy that time, our office never received any substantive correspondence or supporting documentation from Mr*** concerning his dispute
Notwithstanding the following, we requested that the credit bureaus remove any negative reporting that may have occurred with these accountsFor an update as to the status of these accounts including any current outstanding balance, Mr*** may wish to refer back to the CityWe hope this serves to clarify the issue raised

StElizabeth Healthcare placed three of Ms***'s accounts with our office for collection earlier this month for a total of $Ms*** did in fact pay these accounts in full on May 16, as alleged in her complaint, and as she acknowledges received a payment confirmation number as a receipt of her paymentAs Ms***'s payment did not clear until May 19, she simply did not allow enough time for this payment to reflect in our client's system and in any subsequent statementsOur client has been duly notified of Ms***'s payment, and will accordingly close these accounts as paid-in-fullAs a courtesy, our office will send a paid-in-full letter to Ms*** as confirmation of the above affirmations

Please be advised that the*** placed the account at issue with our office on January 31, The State of Wisconsin's Tax Refund Intercept Program (TRIP) allows municipalities to certify to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue debts which are owed to them for a potential tax refund interceptOn February 2, 2015, our office was first notified as to the disputed nature of this debtOn that day Ms***, on behalf of her husband, stated that this balance was disputed due to the fact that she believed it had not been billed to the applicable insurance carrierOur representative attempted to explain the various options available to the Menifields given the circumstances, and will continue to do so as necessary

When initially called, representative offered no information and I was told I was not the only client they were doing this toI had to file a complaint to get a phone callSecondly, my insurance company has been notified and a claim filed by me would go to my deductible not the money they took from meAgain, for me to get what is owed to us, this need to be done like it should have been in the first place
We were not notified
They had our current address and updated insurance information, from later visits to our home, they did not update their system
They had current phone numbers
We were not notified days prior to intercept as per Wisconsin stature
This needs to be re billed and our money needs to be returned...bottom line

Unbeknownst to our office, two of the contact numbers for these individuals in fact belong to Ms***. Our office previously removed these numbers from the accounts at issue in response to prior requests made by Ms***. We have additionally placed both numbers on our internal “Do-Not-Call” list so as to ensure the numbers will not be called on any future placed accounts for these individuals.
