We went to the Home and Garden Show in the Ft Myers area in March of and spoke to the representatives from Home Performance Alliance as we were looking for a contractor to replace the windows in our home We are currently still working with this company to complete our project which was begun on Tuesday, April 25thThe salesman who sold us our windows thought there might be an issue with our hurricane shutters passing codeWe informed him that we would not be interested in purchasing the Windows if our shutters would not pass codeEveryone that we have interacted with by phone or in person have worked well to resolve this issueWe love our windows, appreciate the company's willingness to relieve our concerns and stress as we work through this processToday we received an email from Peter, (vice president of the company) letting us know that if our shutters do not pass inspection, the company will place their dura shields on our windows at no cost to usWe very much appreciate thisAfter reading the reviews on this site, it does concern me that the most recent reviews to date are very negativeAlthough all people with this company have been very cordial and seem to be very willing to resolve concerns for our situation, I would suggest that if the lines of communication were more open and procedures for collecting money were slightly altered, perhaps these problems would not have occurredWe have completed a roof project and pool project this past year and NO money was given to either contractor until the permit with the county was closed and ALL inspections had passedI must say that it took two days of calling the office before I could get someone to return my call to listen to my concernI say these things because after reading the responses from HPA in these reviews, they mention that they want to learn from their customers to improve their companyAs to this date, we are satisfied so far as to how our issue has been resolved and are hoping that these beautiful windows that have been installed for us by two very cordial, respectful representatives of HPA, along with the salesman, and Peter (Vice President) who all appear to be helping us through this project will produce a successful final inspection by the County before the end of May

Company ran my credit even though I never agreed to purchase
Contacted company for window estimate on 7-18-Territory manager Amanda Gcame out to my house on 7-19-Went through sales pitchTold specifically to not continue until she heard from me the following day after another window company came buyShe agreed and leftCalled her on 7-20-@ around Told her I would not be going with their company for windows and to cancel any order she might haveShe agreedI received a notice today that they ran my credit on 7-24-without my authorization with different institutionsContacted MsGand she states that she told them I am not going forward and is unsure of what might have happenedThis transaction has been unlawful and a breech of my trust

Had a sales meeting initially with Robert CHe was very nice and stated that we could get everything we were looking for in our windows that we neededMost importantly, color combinations that we required for our aesthetic
There was a bit of confusion, in that when the techinician came to measure our windows, we were given information that what we wanted was not possible
That's when Robert disappeared and we started discussions with Melanie, Peter and Ryan
It took some time, (weeks) but
even though I ultimately did not do business with HPA, Peter lived up to his promise of refunding our deposit
Although it took a bit of time, I would say that HPA was fair and honest with helping usThank you Peter, for all your help
Definitely give HPA a chance if you are in the market for windows...and deal with Peter

being prevented from getting my home equity loan to pay all creditors and general living expenses
On 9/11/sales rep MR.Jim **from **me Performance Alliance came to my home to introduce his products and company** was very professional and presented an excellent presentation.I was very impressed on what he presented and stated that I was interested in purchasing the productThe cost for windows and two sliding doors was $21,At that time I told Jim that I had to wait for my home equity loan to clear to be able to pay for the Windows** then presented an alternate credit program that his firm offered which was a no interest loanI was to use this loan to start the payments for the windows and then when my equity money came through, I could pay off the equity loan in full with the credit loan and then continue to finalize the rest of the window paymentsI refused this offer and stated that I wanted to wait for my equity to close** said fine and stated the I would have

We ordered windows in November and they're still haven't completed the job
We ordered windows for our house in November they started jobin December and the job is still to be completed we are still waiting on a screen for of our sliders that was suppose to be here yesterday but of course when guy came by had no idea what we were taking about I have text messages and dates and times where I have called asking when this job would be completeWe have gone months without hearing a word no calls back then finally after I call and talk to someone different they assure me it would be done yesterday and yet still not complete We still have parts all over my house and my lanai because we are still waiting on inspection and a screen door

Memorial Day a rep was sent soliciting in my neighborhood. He said because everyone would be home.Find it disturbing to be sold something on a holiday
A young man was sent to my house this Memorial day soliciting My husband and I were taking a very rare mid day holiday nap when he came a knocking When I told him it was a bad idea to be soliciting on such an important holiday he said that it was the last place he wanted to be of course, but the company knew everyone would be home That is so incredibly rudeI'm absolutely disgustedThey have a terrible reputation, and am offended that they feel soliciting on a holiday and that no one would look at their standards The just don't go together

I would like to thank Peter Vand the folks at Home Performance Alliance for their understanding and cooperation in cancelling the contract my year old father made with them despite his not being fully capable of doing soHis recent state of mind indicates a touch of dementia and while he has been able to be active physically, thereby impressing people who don't know him with his high energy, he is very befuddled by other thingsHis attempt to purchase windows for his house was made without our knowledge and without the available fundsWe were able to send a cancellation letter to the folks at Home Performance Alliance within the allotted time and are greatly relieved that Peter and his team mercifully honored that letter and expressed their concern for my father's health and well-beingI assured them that if we are ever at the point where he needed and could afford new windows, we would contact Home Performance AllianceThanks again, Peter

Had windows installed by Home Performance AllianceThe sales person gave me the great sales pitch to convince me to purchase windowsThe guys that installed windows did a great jobThere was manufacture defects on of the windowsThey promised the necessary parts would be ordered and replaced and stay informed by phone callsThis never happenedEvery time I call to get updated, I just get a recording and no return callPaying cash for windows was not a wise choiceGot put on the back burner after they got my moneyTried calling the sales person, Dan, who also did not return my call, probably does not work for them anymore either because his phone number does not work anymoreI think I have been scammedI would not recommend these people to do work for anybodyI thought a company from a larger city would be reliableBoy was I mistakenSomething should be done to improve customer service after installationThere is a window company in my city and could have got them to do the jobLearned the hard wayToo bad it cost me a lot of moneyI wish it was just over a bad meal or something simpleBAD DEAL

Signed contract for Windows June 4, they measured twice and did a template Window in front wrong and did not send all windowsIt's now Sept
When we signed the contract for Windows on June they said they would need to template the front window on Friday, they never showedWhen they finally did get the template done they said it would be to weeks for our windowsWhen they they showed up on in late August not only did that not have all of our windows but the front widow that was measured twice and had a template mad was wrongThey said they could not install and left our front window uncovered with plywood I providedBen Ccan out the next day and had them install the wrong window even though it doesn't fitHe said we would have all our windows Sept 10th on the 11th I contacted them to ask about the windows They called me at the end of the day and told me it would be October sometime to get the windowsWe have moisture coming in the front of our house as well

My experience with the salesman was not great and there was lack of followup; I made a call to discuss my concerns and started speaking with Peter, their VPPeter listened to my concerns and became my point of contactPeter always made himself available to me, addressed my concerns in a timely fashion and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy
The actual window installation went well, too!

If you are purchasing windows move on and find a more efficient honest companyWe began this process back on November 25, It is now May 25, and we are still waiting for the job to be completedAfter continued delays caused by the failure to order all the necessary and paid for components and minor installation problems the job finally passed county inspection on April 10, Now, six months after receiving our payment the interior trim still lie on the sill, waiting installation

Their sales practice was unethical and unnecessaryI felt uncomfortable in my own home and do not appreciate being strong handed into a purchase
Michael Parrived at our home when we told him we could give him an hour of our time for a window estimateMichael did a presentation and then gave us an estimate of the cost for our windows and sliding doorIt was around $20,000, so we explained we had to think it over and give them a call backHe became clearly annoyed, and was telling us our windows were not good and how badly it was neededWe explained to him that we do not make a large financial decision on the spot from someone knocking on our doorHe began to negotiate with us and explain where he could save us moneyWe still told him we could not sign a contract that day, but asked for an official email with the detailsHe immediately cut us off and said "NO"I don't do business with anyone who won't provide any official documentation other than a business cardHe called

Home Performance Alliance, Inc came to my home on Oct 20, Salesman Bryan Sgave us an estimate for windows and we entered into a contract with Home Performance Alliance for our windowsLater that evening my husband and I discussed it; and we decided not to proceed due to my husbands failing healthWe had cancelled hours later with the Buyers Right To Cancel clauseThe next day Peter the vice president of customer service called us and told us he still had our check; we could void it out, and he would mail it to usNo questions askedWe thought we would have a hard time cancelling or being pressured to purchase something; but our experience was quite the oppositeIf we decide to put windows in later we would definitely use this company

Window replacement was started in May The job is still not finished and it's February
Replacement of our windows was started on May 20, We have been waiting for them to finish the job so we can get our rebate from TECO and wind mitigation discount from homeowners insuranceThey set up appointments to finish up our job and then just don't show upThey have cut a hurricane shield wrong times nowWhen they answer their phone , usually it's a voicemail, they do not return calls

Extremely high pressure sales representativeHad elderly person with dementia sign contract for a price more the $9,higher than quoted during presentationThis occurred after I, her personal representative, told him we were not going to make a decision that day, escorted him to his car, and leftWe called him as soon as we became aware of the contract and was told he did nothing wrongTotally disgusted with him taking advantage of a vulnerable person - will never work with this company!

They call every other day to schedule an appointment I asked them to stop calling
They come to my door to set an appointment to install windowsFirst there is no soliciting signs at the gate entranceThey call every other day to schedule an appointment I asked them to stop calling Every person that calls has the same notes to call because I asked them to call I have also asked them to stop calling several times I hope this complaint helps

Jordan was really great from start to finishMostly I didn't get the run around and when I couldn't reach the office I could always get should of homeLoved the windows!!!!

We are incredibly pleased and impressed with the professionalism, amazing customer service, and overall high quality of the high impact hurricaine windows we recently purchased through Home Performance AllianceHPA made every step of the process easy and efficient, from our first meeting with Aaron, the regional sales manager, the pleasure of working with Misty, their extraordinary project manager, through installation and completionI highly recommend HPA to provide quality, responsiveness, and great service at a fair price

This is the worst business my husband and I have ever dealt with in years of life! Stacy, the sales rep, was wonderful and was the only reason we finally made it through this month ordeal We had many windows installedIt took months before the windows were even ordered or work permits filed The man who came out to measure for all the windows was so rude that I literally got in a disagreement with him before he left my house because he was very rude to me My husband complained about him to Stacy and she noted it saying that "he was new." The installers were ok and very polite The owner Steve was a Nightmare! I can't believe how hateful he was to my husband - calling my husband and yelling at him and threatening to call the police because my husband had not yet paid the rest of his bill ( the window installation was not yet finished)My husband had to hang up on him several times late at night because "Steve" was out of control and obviously needed money really bad! I am so happy this experience is behind us Don't Even Let This Company In Your House To Give You An Estimate!!! You will regret It!!
