Horizon Services

My husband and I called Horizon on Thursday afternoon because no hot water was coming out of any of our faucets. The representative told us that a Horizon technician would be at our house on Friday morning between 8:00 am and 10:00 am. My husband stayed home on Friday and Andrew S. from Horizon showed up at about 8:30 am, which was perfect. He went into the crawl space to examine our hot water heater and first see if it was repairable. When he came up he did explain that the top thermostat had shorted out and the unit shut down and in the process a wire, or two, had started to melt because of the thermostat shorting out. He said the damage that was done was repairable, but given that the unit was almost 11 years old that it wouldn't be worth the price to repair the damage because there is a good chance, that given the age of the unit again, that it would break again in the next few years. So he suggested that we replace the unit altogether. My husband and I agreed with him and knew going in that there was a good chance that the suggestion from Horizon would be to buy a new hot water heater and replace the old one. Andrew was even accommodating enough to show my husband where exactly the damage was on the old unit, just as confirmation of the damage that had occurred. Andrew was very helpful with questions that my husband had about the replacement unit and was even kind enough to speak with me over the phone while I was at work to discuss our options and what was going on. We inquired about any [redacted] capabilities that Horizon offers with a new hot water heater, since we have [redacted] capabilities with the new HVAC system and thermostat that we bought and had installed by Horizon a few years ago. Andrew was very helpful and patient enough to make numerous calls back to Horizon to see if Horizon offers anything like that, and when it was confirmed that there was a way to tie alerts from our hot water heater to our existing app for the thermostat for the HVAC system, he then called the warehouse to see if there was any availability on that particular item in case we wanted to purchase it. He presented all 3 of our options in great detail to my husband in person and me over the phone and we came to a decision on which one we wanted. Right after that, Andrew called up another Horizon employee to help him out with the un-installation of the existing hot water heater and the installation of the new one. The two of them worked very diligently to get the job done as fast as they could and Andrew was very apologetic over how much time the entire process was taking. After a few hours the old hot water heater was out of the crawl space and the new one was fully installed. Andrew informed my husband that it would take about an hour after installation for the hot water heater to completely kick in. He said if the hot water wasn't working by 2:30 pm to call him personally and if he was in the area, he would come right back to help us out, or to call the Horizon office to inform them that the new hot water heater wasn't working and have them dispatch someone else who was in the area to help out. Fortunately for us, when my husband tested all of the faucets at 2:30 pm, the hot water worked perfectly!
Andrew S. is a great representative of Horizon and it's services. He did a great job of answering every question that we had in as much detail as he could, he was very personable, and he made us really feel like he cared about us getting the best product, and right product, for our house. He overall did an excellent job. We'd be more than happy to work with him again down the road.

The horizon technician Andrew S[redacted] done an outstanding job getting my hot water heater back in service. He was very polite and set me up to service my heating boiler. Horizon should be proud to have a technician like him working with them. I would like to thank him for his service.

Superb Service. II could not have asked for a better technician in [redacted] (CAS) He was on time, courteous and very professional. The work was done in the time frame that I had anticipated.

Lee did a real nice job of performing my AC unit tune up. I was impressed that he knew exactly what brand unit I had as the brand name is not on it. As he ran the test he told me what the numbers were and if it was good or in failing mode. I followed through with his recommendation, so not to have an issue next year. My unit had never been serviced and there were years worth of debris inside the unit. Lee cleaned it out and wiped down the unit to an almost new look condition. He also took a visual look at my heater and mentioned things that were wrong with the AC unit hookup done by another company. Lee is very knowledgeable and I would recommend him.

On time and resolved the issue, explaining everything a long the way

Lee was very cordial and he did the inspection in a timely manner. When he completed the work he informed us of the programs that Horizon has for its customers. There was no sales pressure by Lee and it was a good experience.

Lee B. came today because I had no heat. He was very knowledge able and answered all my questions to my satisfaction.

Andrew arrived on time with a smile. He was very knowledgeable and patient in answering any questions I had. He explained in detail all of the service repair and/or replace options available. That allowed my husband and I to choose the best option for our home and our budget! Andrew was very neat and cleaned up what little mess was made when cutting the sheet rock. Thanks Andrew, we look forward to working with you on our repairs.

Horizon Services and this tech, Lee [redacted] in particular, have provided excellent service for me. All members are professional from setting up the appointments to calling before coming, to coming on time, to performing the service with expertise, to completing the service and paperwork.

The service technician ([redacted]) was friendly, knowledgeable, thorough, and did a good job of explaining the technical issues. I'm very happy with the service I received and would highly recommend Horizon.

The HVAC Service Technician Douglas M[redacted] was very professional and solved a complex system problem that had been going on for a couple of days

[redacted] provided a fast and efficient service. He was quite knowledgable in his job, and very courteous.

Excellent service - arrived right at the beginning of service window and was very polite. Pricing was cheaper than the previous company we used where we supposedly got a family discount! Technician even gave us some good tips on cutting our bill and helping our very old unit run better.

Cooling system went on the fritz. Called Horizon to diagnose the problem and to recommend repair or replacement.Horizon came out on schedule and provided an estimate to repair. We then asked to them give us a recommendation and price to replace the cooling system and also to replace the furnace. Another Horizon representative came to clearly explain the various merits of several different systems that would meet our needs. Once our decision was made, a three-person installation crew showed up the next morning to do the job. The installation was completed that day as promised. The crew was outstanding! The cleanup was perfect. We are extremely happy customers!
