We have been behind on our payments to this company, starting with the fact that they were supposed to take payments from our debit account from the beginning, which they did not do, causing us to get behind. I have made arrangements to start catching up. I am writing about this company because they are rude and harassing. I keep having to deal with a representative by the name of Cory [redacted], even though I have specifically said I do not feel comfortable with him handling our account because he is rude and gave us a screenshot of another customer's personal account information, when trying to harass us when the issue didn't even involve us in the first place. I spoke to another representative by email, Carolyn [redacted] who said she would take our arrangement plans, so we would not have to deal with Cory anymore and since then I have received TWO emails from Cory harrassing us about payment. I am SICK of this treatment from Hy-Cite and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone in the future. Horrible, rude company!! And their products are not that great!

The absolute worst company I ever dealt with. They tricked me and my ex (which after reading other reviews we are not the first) into purchasing cookware and signing for a loan. The gifts they promised were all crap. Rings that could be bought at Walmart, a trip, champagne glasses that actually would have come out of our pockets and etc.
well, hard times hit and we broke up. He got fired and I wasn't making enough to make payments. Instead of working with us they started calling us and being insanely rude. I have never had his experience with any creditor or business in my life. They are condescending and threaten legal actions they cannot actually take. They text and email to demand money when we finally set up a payment arrangement just to keep threatening us. It is harassment, pure and simple. I'm disgusted at them.
I would NEVER recommend them. They take advantage and when they don't get their way they will go above and beyond to make you miserable.

I, along with many others, have been "deceited",(according to Hy Cite, "my opinion"), by Hy Cite Enterprises, LLC. I don't even know where to begin to tell you about it. First, and foremost, I can't imagine how Hy Cite Enterprises, LLC is still accredited an A+. Well, actually I can. Hy Cite must work day and night to train their salespeople and customer service just what they want them to tell their customers. If you look at the complaints, most of the customers have a lot of the same complaints, yet Hy Cite's recall department will say that it is "my opinion" to feel that I've been deceited. Coincidental? I think not. The same complaints span from California to Michigan. I don't think these people all got together just to make up a story.
I, along with 2 sisters, bought the cookware in 2009 from Pinnacle Concepts of Madison, WI. We were told verbally that we would receive 3 free gifts just for purchasing the 9-ply thermal cookware: The 12" liquid core skillet, the salad machine, and the Jr. Steamer/Strainer.
Over the course of 4 years, I used the cookware and loved it. In January, 2013, I received a recall notice that stated there was a recall on the 9-ply thermal cookware. It stated the pans will be repaired (or replaced if they have already malfunctioned) at no charge. I was not happy with putting a hole in the pan, nor was I happy being without my cookware during this short time. I was reassured that the cookware would be just fine after they were fixed. About a year later, which was March or April, 2014,I was cooking with the 1 1/2 qt. kettle,
and it sounded like a gunshot. I didn't know what happened. Then, I discovered the valve popped out of the side of the kettle. I called customer service, was told that I should send all the 9-ply cookware back. I told her that I only had a problem with this kettle. She told me then I would have a matching set. I found out at the end of the conversation, that it was not for a matching set at all, indeed it was because they were having problems with this, but they weren't sure which pieces were defective. I'm pretty sure it was their way of getting back all the pieces without sending anybody another recall notice. They said they would send me a 5-ply set in return with a voucher to be used on one of the products from a list they give. (That's right, I couldn't use it for a product that wasn't on the list of their choices.) I asked them where the cookware was made. That day they told me China. But on another day, I was told Italy. You see, every time I called, I talked to a different person and they all had different answers. I finally got to talk to a supervisor one day and she told me the 5 ply cookware was made in Italy. She said that she would send me the cookware and I could use it and decide if I wanted to keep it or not, otherwise we could talk about a refund. I received the 5 ply cookware, the quality was way less than the 9 ply thermal cookware. It looks like the stamp on it that said "Made in Italy" was just quickly stamped on it to pacify the customers. I'm also told that cookware can be stamped "Made in Italy" if only the handles were put on in Italy. That is wrong. I called her and told that I wanted a refund. To my surprise, she said that I could only get a refund for $985. I asked her why and she said that their wasn't a recall on the "free items" and could only refund on the 7 piece cookware. That's when I learned that the word "free" really didn't mean "free" in Hy Cite's dictionary. I told her I wanted a refund for $1706.60 ($1590 +tax and handling of $116.60). That's how much I paid for the cookware (which by the way I still have the price list from Pinnacle Concepts, John Rockholt, which stated the 7 piece cookware set was $1590) If the 3 items weren't "free", then why wasn't I charged more? I was referred over to a supervisor and then another supervisor, where I was told the same thing, because of the sneaky way of handling the "free items". As my conversations with both of these supervisors got a little heated ( by this time I've had enough of Hy Cites deceits, according to them, my "opinion"), I asked for the President, [redacted] phone number. Imagine my shock when both of them said they didn't know their President's phone number. Of course, why would someone who treats people in this way ever want his number out? This company should not be rated an A+ in my "opinion". I told the supervisor that I'd be praying for him and the rest of the company that their hearts would tell them to do the right thing. How can a company that had a good product handle customer service this way? Please do a thorough check on them so that this doesn't happen to anybody else. Also, the way they are "handling" their customer complaints.
Thank you!
Sincerely, [redacted] Michigan

my fiancé and I purchased the cook wear in late January. Every since the product has Arrived we have watched the video and we are unimpressed with it. We try to cook with them and every time our food burns. Keep in mind we lower the temp on the stove to the lowest possible setting and it still burns. I have called customer service three times and all I am told is to watch the video and then purchase this cleaner. We are unable to find the cleaner any where. The lady I spoke with would not listen and kept talking over me. I was not very happy.

Also, when the account was set up the payments were to be automatically taken out of my account on the 28th of every month not the 15th (this was told on the phone when account was set up) and every since I have been seeing an NSF charge on the statement which means someone has input my information wrong because the money has been in my account. I am however unable to see my full account information to know if accurate. We have been charged $25 fee every month for this error. As you can see I am very frustrated and at this point very unhappy with the product as well as the problems we are having with your company.

My fiancé and I are so fed up with the run around we would like to return the product with a full refund on what has been paid so far.

I would like a return authorization number so that product can be returned. A response would be appreciated quickly as this is a continued problem. I feel like we have been scammed and I am very disappointed I really liked the presentation but after getting the product we are very saddened by the way we have been treated with the account.

Review: My fiance went to a bridal expo and had given her info to Davids Bridal to get a coupon off of a wedding dress. Shortly after, she received a call saying she won prizes (free trip, $700 JVL Jewelry, $1000 coupons). The catch was we had to go to a meeting room at the [redacted] in [redacted] to view a cooking show where they were selling pots and pans-no purchase necessary. We did go. We fell for the PUSHY salesman's product and signed (what now appears to be a fake contract-which I left out a signature) for $3000 in pots, pans and knives. We were told we could cancel by the salesman named [redacted] who gave his "cell phone #." The next day we thoroughly read the contract and literature and researched this company and prizes online and determined its all a scam and is fake. Other consumers have been dealing with this company it seems for many years (company has changed names several times it seems: China cookware, Bridal Registry,Southern Bridal Registry, etc.) and they say its a crappy product and you dont get what you pay for, the company doesn't return phone calls and adds onto the bill, refuse to cancel your order, tons of complaints. We immediately tried to cancel by phone with all the phone numbers provided on contract, Warranty , paperwork and [redacted]'s "cell phone #" but no one answers and phone just rings and rings. Fake numbers! Please help us resolve our issue with this fraudulent company that has been duping people for years and years apparently. We are especially worried because they have my ss# and all of the other couples in the room fell for this too.Desired Settlement: We would like something in writing from this fraudulent company that our order is cancelled with no charge.

In review of the complaint received, we show that we spoke to Angel Cortes back on the 5th of December and they hand mentioned what happened with the knife and her son. We asked them to provide us with a written description of what happened along with any pictures they had showing that their son was injured. We provided them where to send the documentation but were told that they needed to seek the advice from their lawyer. To this date, we have not received any documentation regarding the injury claim. If the knives require warranty service, the account will need to first be brought to a current standing as it currently is 2 payments past due with the third on due now. Once the account is current, the customer will need to contact our Customer Service Department at ###-###-#### for assistance with warranty on the knives. The cancellation of the order is no longer eligible and the customer will remain responsible for the balance. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Review: The company sent me a product recall notification letter stating that water can get between the thermal walls of Royal Prestige Brand 9-Ply Thermal Wall Cookware pan(s) and when heated, can cause the interior of the pan to malfunction and suddenly collapse, crimp or severely deform, potentially causing a burn or

fire hazard.

I contacted the business to notify them that I am currently stationed in [redacted] and I asked them if they could tell me how I would get the pots to them for repairing or replacing and they said they would get back to me. It's been about two weeks and they tell me the same thing when I call them but they have yet to get back to me.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to pay the fee for sending the pots back for repair or replacement. I spent a lot of money on those pots and it seems as though I'm being treated unfairly due to the fact that I am stationed overseas and unable to take it to the local UPS store.

In review of the complaint received by Ms. [redacted], under the recall that is currently being conducted, it is the customer’s responsibility to send the merchandise back to us using the authorization number that was provided to them. The authorization number is only valid in the US so it would be Ms. [redacted]’s responsibility to send the merchandise from [redacted] to the US and then have someone in the US send it to us. We will then ship the merchandise back to the address in the US, as we do not ship overseas. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Review: We purchased a set of cookware, Royal Prestige, that was quite expensive, so we chose to make monthly payments. Hy Cite Finance was the credit company used by Royal Prestige for those payments. We set up auto-deduct and also made additional electronic payments from our bank account, in order to pay off the balance more quickly. I erroneously made an additional $200 payment at the end of our balance. When I realized my error, I called Hy Cite and talked to a rep, requesting an immediate refund. I made that payment on 5/12/14. She stated it would likely take up to 30 days, in order to make sure the payment cleared! Already ridiculous, given the payment was made directly from my bank. So I waited 3-4 weeks and called again on 6/11, a month later. I was then told I would received the check by 6/18. Of course, I did not. I was out of town from 6/19-6/24, and found no check upon my return. I just called again and complained strongly about their holding my money. The rep got offline to talk to her supervisor, and then came back saying the check was mailed yesterday, 6/24, by regular mail. I don't believe that for a minute. I'm sure they will likely get it into the mail today, but it should have been sent overnight or express. I paid my balance quickly and more than on time. For this outfit to hold an over-payment for 6 weeks is unethical and very bad business. And for it to require me to make three calls weeks apart to get my money refunded is unconscionable. Clearly, they are making interest off my money by keeping it that long. I will avoid anything with their name on it in the future, and would advise others do the same!Desired Settlement: An immediate deposit of $200 to our bank account, or a check mailed to us immediately.

Review: I purchased the Royal Prestige pans about 7 years ago. In 2013, Royal Prestige sent out a recall letter saying that pans must be returned to be fixed. I followed the instructions and returned the pans. When I got them back, a hole had been drilled in the side of the pan and a rubber stopper installed. We were shocked that after paying so much for these "50-year guaranteed pans" this was the "fix." Several weeks went by and every time I used one of the pans, the stopper would fall out. I called Royal Prestige and was told to send the pan back through the UPS shipping recall form once again. I did this. Then waited, hearing nothing for a few weeks. I then received a new pan in the mail, of completely different, lower quality. The original pans I purchased were 9-ply, this new pan is a 5-ply. Along with the pan, I received a credit vouchers for $27. There was no information in the package about the voucher or the replacement pan. So, I called Royal Prestige. I was informed that the stoppers were defective and the pans needed to be replaced. They informed me that the scope of the recall had changed and all pans needed to be returned again for replacement with the 5-ply. I never received written notification that the recall had changed. After spending about an hour on the phone with a representation whose English skills were severely lacking, I found out that after the full replacement of all pans, I would be issued another credit voucher for the difference in purchase price from the 9-ply to the 5-ply. I asked if I could just be given a cash refund for the difference ($235), as I do not want to waste any more money on these over-priced products. I was told that was not an option. January 29 I returned the pans yet again for the full replacement. I spent another hour on the phone with a representative, trying to figure out what the $235 could purchase. The answer? Hardly anything. The products are so overpriced its ridiculous. And frankly, with the way they have handled this recall, I do not want any more of the products in my house. I have had to purchase a set of pots from a local store to use while my fancy pots are being recalled, sent back in forth in the mail, and recalled again. I'm over it.Desired Settlement: Keep your pans, send me back the original purchase price.

In review of the complaint received by Ms. [redacted], under the recall, the 9ply Thermal Wall cookware is to be replaced at no charge with a credit voucher for additional merchandise. We are willing to make an exception and provide Ms. [redacted] for a refund of only the recalled 9ply merchandise. The amount of the refund would be for $1352. This refund would be done in the form a check and we will need for the recalled 9ply merchandise to be received back in our warehouse. Notes will be placed on her account and should Ms. [redacted] wish to proceed with the offer, all she would need to do is contact our Recall Department at ###-###-#### and they would be able to assist her. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Review: Hy Cite Enterprise had a sales representative come to my home on numerous occasion. One day, on my way out I met with the gentle man that came to my home( which my parents reside with me). I specifically said to him, I will call you once I am able to uptain information about your company. Please do not come by while I am not here. So, my parent who are senior citizen(73 and 82yrs old) and there primary language is not English, he used that as his advantage. He decided to come again while I wasn't here and persuaded them to buy a water filter for $900. He told her to fill out some paper work which, she did but yet has not received a copy and wasn't explained about anything. The company called one day and I said no we haven't received any copies of what my mom signed and I inquired about what was going on. I respectfully said we we're not interested in there products. We then received a box of the products. I asked my parents for the gentle mans card. I tried cling him and so has my parents. He has not answered her calls nor mines. I decided to call the company after waiting for a call back. I was told by the company since I haven't returned the package in 3 days I am stuck with a the payment. Excuse me, we have been calling and we haven't been getting no assistance. The box has not been open or tampered with. I have photos and a package return slip. I sent the package back and do not want to do business with them at all. I feel as if my parents were being harassed. Also, I have filed complaints as well, to my knowledge her social security was asked for by this gentleman. I feel her account mite be in jeopardy of being compromised bye an unauthorized user. I think this is the worst door to door scam a person can do to elderly people. I am very disappointed and also will be willing to take this matter further.Desired Settlement: The product is returned not in our possession and want all information/contracts destroyed. also, she should be refunded what she gave this man.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]

I would like to say this matter is very upsetting and poor customer service and no one should deal with this company. I specifically asked your sales representative to not come to my home with out me([redacted]) calling him because I stated we were not interested. He deliberatly came to my home several times unannounced with out me being there to assist my parents to this matter. FYI, my parents first language is not english and he was aware of that. After I was told he came he scaring my parents I called him and no calls were ever picked up nor after the package was received as well. Your company is a scam and targets elderly and foreigners. If you had a heart, you would not being doing this especially during the time of ones hardship. Once again we don't have the product, you do, so you can not charge us for something we do not want nor have. Enjoy your day!

Regards,

I received a call from this company saying we had won the wedding package. We would receive a list of free products all we had to do was set up an appointment for the time this company would be in our area. So my husband and I did this, well the appointment ended up being a sales pitch for their pots and pans and cuttlery. The salesman [redacted] gave us a hand out which stated if we bought one of the pans packages we would receive a choice between 3 items for free. One of which was the cuttlery set ($1000 in value), since my husband had been wanting nice knives we decided to go for it. We got the 11 piece pans package, which states on the sheet it was around $1200. While talking with Mr. [redacted] he gave my husband and I each a sheet, told us to fill out the top and sign the bottom and he would take care of the rest.We gave him $150 down payment and were guarenteed our order would arrive in 8-10 days. After 2 weeks my husband called the company to ask where our oder was. Well when he did this he looked at the papers [redacted] had us fill out, at the bottom of one, which happened to be a contract it stated we owed them over $2700. [redacted] charged us for the pans package and $1000 worth of cuttlery and several hundred dollars for shipping and handling. When we tried to get a hold of our salesman he was not to be heard of. His boss told us that we were wrong and that its company policy that [redacted] go through that entire contract and receipt with us after he fills it out (which he did not). When my husband was calling the company to get a hold of someone to help us, the person he talked to gave him a fake number to call them back because he said was going to call the woman every day until our salesman called us back. A couple of weeks ago, one of my pans lid's melted. My husband called today to get a replacement, and the company is saying they wont replace it, because it is misuse of their product. Even though we were told these are a 50 year warrenty no matter what the case. This company is a joke and scamming people out of thoughsands of dollars, but by making you secretly sign a contract without your knowledge of what it is, they can legally get away with it-which is total bull [redacted]. This salesman [redacted] also told us that he is former military, and he stands proudly based on his ethics. My husband and I are both Military- Combat Vets who just returned in April 2013, so just a warning to other military that he will try to scam you and lie to you about him being former military as well.

Review: I bought a cook ware set to Royal Prestige about ten years ago I was satisfied with it that was the reason I decided to get some new products the seller offer me the new products and told me that this products has the same quality and same materials, but it was a lie I discovered when I recive the product the quality nor the materials are the same the first ones have surgical steel titanium, copper, silver alloy and manufactured in the USA. The second ones are just stainless steel and they are now manufactured in China or India also this product has a different shine. I've been having it for one month and, I have used it three times and they already started peeling off it looks like the set of pots have a cover or a sealing shine that is peeling off every time I use them I am very concerned with this situation, because it is health risk to my family, because it goes into the family's food. we are eating the product that is peeling off I already contacted the company and let them know my concern about the issue. I want to return the product due to this situation. They told me that they can exchange the product if they confirm a defect for the same product, I told them that there is not any defect on the product the problem is that this new product has a shine sealing that it is peeling off and poor quality. I told them that with the old product it did not happen, even though I been having them for 10 years. I told them if they exchange the set for that product I will agree to accept a exchange if not. I can not accept the same product that could cause a health problem to my family. They answer you signed a contract which it says that all sales are final, so I have to keep the product no matter what. That is why I am doing this complain because they must be a way that somebody check the products quality. They are expensive products. Which must be a quality products and they must let the clients know about the changes on the products not lie to you and said that are the same quality.Desired Settlement: I want to return the product to the company.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

In response to the letter below. I'm not going to be able to send you the merchandise for inspection for the following reason. The merchandise is the only proof that I have in my possession that proofs that the product sold to me is not of the high quality Royal Prestige claims. I plan to use the merchandise in a court hearing that its been schedule for February 18, 2014. Currently Royal Prestige has a product that I believe can be harmful to the consumers that cook with their products. There is a sealing in the inside of the pots and pans that is detaching and becoming part of what is being cooked in the pots and pans. I made sure to let Royal Prestige of this issue and I did not get the response I was expecting from them. This is very concerning to me, there might be thousand of families that might be putting their health in danger by cooking in this pots and pans and knowing what type of chemicals are in the sealing that is detaching.

I'm open to meet in person with you for you to check the product and see the issues I explain above. I currently reside in [redacted]. Any questions or -concerns please contact me by email or by calling me at ###-###-####. -- [redacted]

Review: A recall for the 9-ply cooking utensils was issued via mail to my house. I had to cook large batches of food and freeze them in order to make sure that we had provisions while the items were out being repaired. I took the utensils to UPS as per the instructions. A few weeks later I called to track the status of my utensils and was told that the company was not going to be issuing the pans back to customers anymore and that there was a change in policy. I was given three options: 1) Purchase the 5-ply utensil versions of the products plus an additional item, 2) Purchase the 5-ply versions of the utensils and receive a voucher for $128 or 3) Receive a voucher for the $1848.90 to be put toward any 5-ply products. I stated that I was very unhappy that I was not informed about the change in agreement and I requested for my money back as I am not interested in the 5-ply products. I was told that it was not an option. Also the customer service person told me I had to decide what I wanted at that instant and I could not change my mind later as to what I chose. I asked to speak to her manager who was very courteous on the phone but repeated that same options.Desired Settlement: As I mentioned to the manager, I paid for 9-ply products and have no interest in the 5-ply products. If I wanted 5-ply products, I would have purchased them instead, At this point, I just want my money back,

Review: I am so upset. My fiancée and I went to this event here in Buffalo to watch a presentation about kitchen charm pans they were selling. After lengthy discussion my fiancée and I decided to buy the pans at the agreed upon price. The person who sold us the pans told us it would be interest free and we would only have to pay a small price per month. We specifically asked the seller if there would be interest and he said no. I work at a bank and I know for a fact if you sell something and there is going to be an interest charge you have to give disclosure to that. I get the first bill in the mail and I see that we are being charged 24.99%!!. I call Hy cite to figure out what is going on and they basically said there was nothing they could do. The first rep I spoke to told me it could be converted to an interest free loan so he forwarded the call. The rep I was forwarded to told me that was a lie. So now I sit here 7 months away from getting married and we feel scammed into this loan. I have all my copies of my contracts and none of them say 24.99%. We don't want to go forward with a lawsuit so we decided to complain here first. I would just like the interest to be taken off because this is not what we agreed to.Desired Settlement: I would like the interest to be taken off as it is illegal to sell something at an installment loan without disclosing it to the customer. Also we were supposed to receive a free 8 day trip with our purchase and have yet to receive that.

In review of the complaint received by [redacted], attached is a copy of the sales order and credit application that was signed on July 18, 2015. Also attached is the reverse side of the credit application. On the front side of the credit application, towards the bottom of the document, right above the signature line, line D states: “important information about interest charges, annual percentage rates (APR), and finance terms are disclosed on the reverse side of this agreement.” By Ms. [redacted] signing the credit application, she was agreeing to the terms and conditions regarding finance charges and interest rates. Since Ms. [redacted] signature is on the credit application agreeing to these terms, any and all accrued interest will remain on the account. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. [redacted] Customer Care Department

Response:

In review of the complaint received by Ms. [redacted], we have attached a copy of the sales order that Ms. [redacted] signed on April 17, 2014 where it shows that the monthly payment would be $175.00. Further review of the account, we see that Ms. [redacted]’s account is currently 3 payments past due with the current payment of $175.00 due on the 28th of April. Since Ms. [redacted]’s account was established back on April 24, 2014, the minimum balance has always been $175.00. There are no notes on the account that Ms. [redacted] has ever disputed that the minimum payment should be $150.00. Since there have been no notes on the account regarding the dispute of the minimum payment, we feel that that this complete has no merit and the minimum payments will remain at $175.00. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Not recommended. Did a scare tactic with baking soda on their pans vs my pans. When people I know declined to buy they said" Nice knowing you.." as if something terrible will happen if they did not purchase. High pressure sales people. We are expecting a baby in March and when I called to cancel (priority reasons) they said I couldn't due to the contract because you only have three days. First, how can you decide to cancel before you even receive the product? Although this wasn't the reasoning for me cancelling. Then, when I asked them what if I just stopped paying altogether, they said they would "send it to collections" and that " you would have to pay anyway." I wish I never got into this predicament......

My husband and I purchased 9 ply, 7 piece cookware set made by Royal Prestige (Hy Cite Enterprises) in 2012.

I just wanted to let everyone know that this cookware is not safe! The cookware was recalled. The company sent us a letter stating that we needed to send in our cookware for repair. We sent it in and had the necessary repairs made and the cookware was sent back to us. Today I was cooking with one of the repaired pots and it exploded on me! Luckily the part of the pan that exploded was facing the wall and therefore did not cause me any injury. But if the pot would have been turned the opposite way, I would have likely suffered serious burns. I'm scared to even think what would have happened if my child had been walking past the stove. Do no buy this cookware and if you have... return it!!!

I have called the company and complained and they are going to refund our money for the cookware set.. so I suppose that is a positive. At least they are going to take it back.
