Review: This is an issue not just with billing but also with the marketing practices and product guarantees itself. The product purchased from HyCite was a set of pots and pans. They were guaranteed to uphold a certain standard and they do not even come close. It has been a constant headache ever since we received them in the mail. They come with a long term warranty, so if you call and tell them that their product does not perform as advertised, they tell you there is nothing they can do but send you another of equal quality and make you pay for your own shipping. Their product is a complete rip off, plain and simple.

Next we will get to the billing issue. My fiance and I attended one of their seminars as part of a bridal package. When we decided to purchase a set and give it a try (because we liked the sound of the product), we had to set it up to make monthly payments by financing it with them. The purchase went into my fiance's name and I told them at the time of sale that I did not want my social security number or credit associated with this purchase. They said that as long as I filled it out and left the SSN blank, it would not hit my credit report and that we could still include my income in the application for credit. Well, low and behold, I check my credit report today and I have a purchase of almost $2,700.00 on my credit report. This may not seem like much to some people, but coming from a person who is trying to repair his credit score from several financial mistakes that is a huge deal.Desired Settlement: This is what I expect. I want the charges removed from my credit report because that is what they promised would happen and I also want to return the product for a full refund. The company is a complete scam and has no business selling their product to other gullible consumers like myself. Their policy may say no returns/refunds, but as far as I'm concerned, they broke a contract with us by placing these charges against my credit. If they cannot uphold their end of the deal, then why should we be forced to uphold ours.

In review of the complaint received by [redacted], we have a sale order and credit application signed by Mr. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] on March 26, 2016. On the credit application it does state “do not run credit” for Mr. [redacted], so no credit check was ever done. However, do to the fact that Mr. [redacted] did sign the credit application, he was added to the account as a co-signor. Since Mr. [redacted]’s credit was not needed to approve the order and his credit was never ran, we will be more than happy to remove him from the account, leaving Ms. [redacted] the sole party responsible for the account. With regards to the cookware and the warranty, should there be a reason that the cookware require warranty assistance, it would be the responsibility for the customer to pay to send it back to us for inspection. Once received, the cookware will either be repaired or replaced under the 50 year warranty. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let us know. Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, I would like to get everything in writing from them that they will take my name off of the account, as well as have it removed from my credit report. And for the record, I am staring at the Sales Order right now, and it does not state the order as being in my name. Also, I would like to note that on the credit application, the sales rep stated that if I wrote "Do Not Run Credit" in the SSN box that it would be, in no way, added to my credit report and that we were only adding my income to the application because Mrs. [redacted] lives with me and we share income. This is just 1 of many examples of improper training and/or sales tactics by this company and that sales rep needs to be located and given remedial training for either purposefully or mistakenly representing a financial aspect of this purchase in an incorrect manner. Again, I expect their remediation plans in writing and mailed to me at the address provided with the order. If I have not received it in the mail and had the purchase removed from my credit report within 90 days from July 1st, I will file another complaint and consult with an attorney.

Regards,

Business

Response:

As previously mentioned, since Mr. [redacted] signed the credit application, he in fact gave his authorization to be added to the account as a co-signor. Since Mr. [redacted]’ credit was never run, as was requested on credit application, his income was not needed for the order so he has been removed from the account and will have no responsibilities to the account. A letter will be mailed to Mr. [redacted] explaining this and should be removed within 60-90 days.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me even though the representative of the company continues to miss the point. If your sales representative had been up front and/or educated and told me that it would be placed on my credit report, or that I would be added as a co-applicant, then I never would have signed it, nor would we have bought your pots and pans. I typically don't penalize my customers for a mistake made by MY employee. Regardless, the resolution is satisfactory. You live and you learn.

Review: I purchsed an piece of exercise equipment that was financed through HyCite in 2012, before I made my first payment they wrote off the loan, with out ever contacting me. I made payments in 2012 and 2013 that never got credited to my account. I have bank statements that shows I paid 1125, original loan was for 1100 plus interest. On my credit it shows it was a charge off 1436.44. When I called , I got the run around, they said even after my payments that I still owe them an additional 1750. I cant get any one to return my calls so I can get this cleared up. I have left messages repeated for [redacted] and also [redacted] who are suppost to be handeling my account.Desired Settlement: I would like to see an explanation of charges, that show my payments and reflect if any what I owe, and would like get this account to paid if full and for that to reflect that on my credit report. If they cant show where my payments went, and a detailed explanation of charges , I want this removed from my credit immedatly. I have bank statements showing I paid Hy Cite 1125. I am will ing to pay any reasonable charges. They Charged off 1436.44 I paid them 1125, I would be willing to pay the difference of 311 dollars to get it to reflect paid in full on my credit.

In review of the complaint received by [redacted], we have an order that was being financed for [redacted] workout equipment. The account was written off to bad debt for non-payment back on August 7, 2012 for the amount of $1436.44. After the account was reported as a collections account, we received the following payments:$150 on 8/28/12 $100 on 1/8/13 $50 on 5/10/13 $100 on 12/13/13$100 on 9/11/12 $100 on 2/5/13 $100 on 6/28/13 $100 on 12/27/13$100 on 11/6/12 $50 on 4/22/13 $100 on 8/23/13The total amount of the payments received after the account was reported as a collections account was $1050. Attached is the balance that is needed to pay in full the account. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.[redacted]Customer Care Department

Review: In 2007 my husband and I purchased the 9 ply cookware. We made payments without a problem, paid them off and used them for the following years. I LOVED my pots. I would brag, talk people into buying them, I loved them. The thermal capability was the reason I purchased them. I became aware of a recall, and called the company for instructions. I was not informed prior to mailing the pots that I would not be receiving the same product I agreed to purchase. After they informed me that I wouldn't be getting what I had paid for (around 2300 dollars by the way) they offered me a consolation product. I received my package and the pots that I received are in no way even comparable to the pots that I sent. The ones they sent are made with aluminum, the ones I agreed to purchase were made with copper. They are not only inferior to the naked eye, they didn't even use the same quality metal to manufacture them. I researched some other high end cookware and the difference in price between aluminum and copper is a thousand to fourteen hundred dollars. They now have in their possession the items that I paid, and I was told it goes to scrap, which means they will melt and reuse the materials while I am here with my more cheaply made product. The worst part is that I loved my pots, and never complained about them, the cost or the performance, and now I have these things that are probably a six hundred dollar set of cookware, if that.Desired Settlement: In a perfect world I would like the product that I purchased, only redesigned so that they are safe. Barring that possibility a full refund would be preferred.

Response:

In review of the complaint received by [redacted], under the voluntary recall that we are conducting in cooperation with the U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the 9ply Thermal Wall cookware is being replaced at no charge and we are providing a supplemental item for the difference in cookware styles. At this time we are not providing refunds since the recall is limited to the replacement of cookware. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Review: The sales reps presentation was based on lies. First he lied when asked what the APY for the product was. He quoted my wife and I an APM of 1.75% the yearly rate is 21% which is ridiculous. He also stated that if we gave him 16 referrals that he would pay for our cookware set. We have attempted to reach to him on several occasions and he has not returned our calls in over 2 weeks. Everything connected with this company is a lie. The customer service department routinely sites the fact you only have 3 days to cancel your order. It's a sham to have this company rated as A+Desired Settlement: We do not want the set. We want the $200 deposit we placed back and we want to return thee materials ASAP.

In review of the complaint received by Ms. [redacted], we have on file a Sales Order and Credit Application that was signed by Ms. [redacted] on March 1, 2014. On the Credit Application, the APR is outlined on the reverse side of the application. On the Sales Order is our Notice of Cancellation that states that the order is eligible for cancellation within 3 business days of signing the order. Since the timeframe to cancel has passed, the account is no longer eligible for cancellation. By Ms. [redacted] signing the Sales Order and Credit Application, she was in agreement to the terms and conditions outlined on the respective forms. We will be happy to contact Mr. [redacted] to inform him about the issues with the referral program so that he can contact Ms. [redacted] to resolve. Since the Distributor’s are independently owned and operated, Mr. [redacted] will be the one that needs to contact Ms. [redacted] to resolve the issue regarding the referral program. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Their pots and pans stick all the time and I use oil or butter regardless of being told they are completely non stick. I am fed up with the pots and pans which I purchased on March 28th, giving them a full month for a try and still I can not cook in them when eggs, pancakes, and vegetable stick even with following the instructions to a "t".

They are horrendous to clean, if you can get them 100% clean at all, even using stainless steel cleaner still leaves me scrubbing all day to get them shiny and spotless.

It is false advertising when they claim to be non stick and all you need is a splash of water or a little butter but yet everything sticks and burns.

Review: I buy this pan for a lot money and y paid and the interest is too high ,and next I lost my job and I stop pay for a fewe months and I talk with hycite and he talk me you send the many with the represent and I do every two weeks I make my payment I have the receipt, and yesterday I check my credit and surprise I have the collection for Royal Prestige (Hycite ) and why he make this one so no letter nothing phone call ,I need help and you have people speak spanish because my ingles is little thanksDesired Settlement: I need fix the colkection this company he make by my name because eveey teo weeks I paid and he need make a offers because the Royal Prestige is really expensive

In review of the complaint received by [redacted], we see that the account was established on June 4, 2013. After that date, we only received 2 payments, $65.00 on July 25, 2013 and another $65 on September 10, 2013. No other payments were ever received to the account. Ms. [redacted] signed a sales order and credit application on May 7, 2013 agreeing to the terms and conditions of the contract and sale. By Ms. [redacted] not making her payments on time, she defaulted on her loan, therefore her account was reported to the 3 major credit bureaus as a collections account. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Review: I am not satisfied with the products we have ordered and we are not getting anywhere with the customer service from Hy Cite or from the distributor in [redacted]. They keep telling us to talk to the other person. It is hard to believe that if we paid almost $2000 for pots and pans that we would be able to return for a refund. This is absurd. I would rather buy pots and pans from a big box store than use these pans. I called everyday for a week and the only thing they are telling us is how to clean the pans. Yes, we watched the video, yes, we cleaned with 'xyz'. We thought we would have these for at least 50 years and never have to buy cook ware again. Now, they are just going to sit in our kitchen cabinet and collect dust. It takes more time to clean the pans than it does to cook with them. This was not the investment we wanted. The distributor also said to me that "it sounds like you should pursue putting the pots and pans up on Craiglist or Ebay". Once again, absurd. It takes more time to clean these than it does to cook with them.Desired Settlement: Provide a refund of final purchase price.

In review of the complaint received by Ms. [redacted], we have already spoken with Ms. [redacted] and have explained to her that the account is no longer eligible for cancellation. Ms. [redacted] signed her order on May 11, 2013 and per the notice of cancellation that is on the sales order, the account can only be cancelled prior to midnight of the third business day after signing the order. Since that timeframe has passed, the account is no longer eligible for cancellation. Since the cancellation is not being accepted, Ms. [redacted] will remain responsible for the balance on the account. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[On 1/31/14, I received the new bottle of cleaner did not ask nor order another bottle of cleaner. Also in the package was a large mixing bowl with lid. Since I did not order the bottle or the mixing bowl with lid I better not get charged.

Review: I recently brought quite a few items from the Royal Prestige line through a salesman by the name of [redacted] and his team manager (I don't know her name). On the last item that I brought, a cutting board, I paid $60 in cash to [redacted] last Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 3:30pm. He never gave me a receipt for the purchase and I did not think to ask for it as I have brought other products from him in the past.

I decided to cancel that order especially because of the horrible customer service that I have received on the other products sold to me by [redacted]'s team manager (again she never told me her name but she is extremely rude) I believe her cell phone number is ###-###-####.

When I spoke to her by phone on Friday, then Saturday, and then Sunday (she always claimed she would call back but she never did as I had to call her each time) she kept saying that she would refund my money of $60 and that she had cancelled the order. Now she won't return my phone calls and [redacted] claims that he is out of the country.

I feel like I have gotten swindled by this company and it's representatives especially [redacted]'s team manager.Desired Settlement: I want my $60 that I paid in cash for the bamboo cutting board by Royal Prestige returned immediately!

In review of the complaint received by Mrs. [redacted], we have spoken with Independent Distributor and they have contacted Ms. [redacted] to make arrangements to have their down payment refunded back to them. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

This is not a company most people will want to be involved with. They have illegal practices, rude customer service, extremely high prices, and even higher interest rates.

When you are called by them with your "winning prize", you are sent to a demonstration that uses scare tactics to sell you (mostly young newly engaged couples) high priced cookware. The salesperson will talk down to you, make you feel like an it (if you are susceptible to that) and leave out vital information. When I asked how much the interest rate was he said just 2%. As we were walking out after we signed paperwork... he calls out just 2% a month makes 24%. That's not at all the same thing. None of your prizes will actually be free.

When you do order, you need to make sure you can afford these things because you get only three days to cancel. Mind you, the merchandise won't show up for over a week. You must decide to cancel in three days on a price only basis. You have no idea how the pots and pans will function in your home and once you do, it's too late to do anything about it.

If you run into any financial trouble, you're done. They will not help you. They tolerate nothing less than the minimum monthly payment. Their payment plans will only break up the same cost over the same time. I made good faith attempts to offer a reduced payment plan for a temporary time while we get caught up with our finances and that I would make every attempt to increase that as I could. They don't care. They will in fact harass you at every number you ever give them including all your references and your place of work. They will in fact threaten you with things they are not legally allowed to threaten you with. They are not allowed to tell you how a judgement will go IF you get taken to court and lose. They can only say such things if you've gone through court, and had a judgement against you.

They are not allowed to call you if you ask them not to. But they will. If you send a certified letter stating in paper that you want no more calls (a consumer right) they decide to charge your account off right away. Or at least claim to.

Here's the real kicker, they claim the cookware company is not at all the same company at the finance company. Simple Google searches prove this wrong. However, these two so called "different" companies will BOTH be contacting you for money. A completely ridiculous situation. I even mailed my certified letter to HyCite and Century Lifestyles responded. Not the same company huh?

Pretty much if you can't pay the amount they want on time, your credit is done. It's technically your own fault because you shouldn't buy things you cannot afford, however, there are unforeseen problems that arise and where most companies will be happy to work with you through a hard time.... this illegal practicing one certainly will not. So unfortunately, say goodbye to your credit for a while. And learn an expensive mistake. ALWAYS RESEARCH A COMPANY FIRST IF THEY ARE SHADY. Anyone who looks this company up will see the hundreds of horrible complaints online. I wish I was one of the smart one who said NO WAY! That day. Why did I trust them? I was so naive I thought the fact they were giving a demonstration in a well established local hotel meant they were credible. No, anyone can rent that space.

No matter what happens, they have generic responses. Usually their responses never address the things you are actually trying to talk to them about. It's a broken record on their part. But they know what they are doing. These people are aware of their bad practices.

Review: We ordered the products approximately a year and a half ago and had problems with the performance of the cookware meeting the standards as originally advertised. I spoke with a representative a few months after ordering with my complaints and was told that I was simply misusing the product. I was given instructions on how to remedy this which did not fix my problem. I assumed that the fault be my own and reviewed the instructional video and booklet given to me. I have been using the cookware as directed and the problems still continue. I spoke with a representative today, 18/08/14, to discuss the return of the cookware and closing of my account with refund. I was told that even if I returned the product not only would no refund be issued but the account would remain open and I would be responsible for continued payments. I am particularly upset that during the company's brief 'cancellation period' I had not even received the product to test it's performance. A 'cancellation period' of which I was not informed of until today.Desired Settlement: I wish to return the product, have the account closed with remaining balance cleared and to be refunded for payments made to date.

Response:

In review of the complaint received by [redacted], we have a sales order signed and dated for September 13, 2013. Per the Notice of Cancellation that is on the reverse side of sales order, the cancellation timeframe is 10 days from signing the order. Since that timeframe has passed, the cancellation of the order is no longer eligible. Should Mr. [redacted] have issues on how to use the cookware, he can also contact the Independent Distributor that made the sale. Their contact information is, Table Charm ###-###-####. Since the cancellation is not being accepted, Mr. [redacted] will remain responsible for the account and its balance. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Review: This company financed a product for me. I returned the product to company I purchased it from. Hy Cite has acknowledged the return of the product, but now I'm being harassed for a $26.05 balance. I've recently received a statement saying that the balance is $26.05, but my minimum payment due is $97.00! I have spoken to representatives several times, and they know the product is returned but there is still a remaining balance. I asked them to stop calling me. I was told that they will continue to call until I pay!Desired Settlement: I want them to stop harassing me, and correct my balance!

Review: I buy a water filter 01/13/16 for 1600 dollar

Took a month for the filter to be delivery

The filter is defective and they say we only have three days to return the filter how I'm going to have three days if they spent a full month for the filter to be delivered to my house now I cannot do use my cold water in the kitchen and they say they not responsible for that
