Intelius’s policy is to use all applicable means to deliver the information service to our customers.? The information we provide is gathered from selected public records and other sources.? Local, state, and federal agencies make updates to public records.? The information can come from sources such as: marketing surveys, land deeds, catalog purchases, voter registrations, lawsuit filings, court records, magazine subscriptions, and address changes.? This data is compiled into a comprehensive public record search that Intelius maintains with active updates from its sources.Our bulks sales department operates at different hours than our Customer Care.? Once Mr [redacted] ’s sales person was available, attempts were made to reach him by email and phone.? After communicating with Mr [redacted] by email, an agreement was met to refund the unused search credits.We processed a refund of $for the unused Background Report search credits to Mr [redacted] ’s account on 2/22/2016.? This refund will appear on his statement in one of the next two billing cycles depending on the closing.We sincerely appreciate your cooperation in resolving this matter and apologize for any inconvenience

The report that Mr [redacted] purchased included his search subject’s contact, information, including address, email and phone records, family members, educational history and three civil court records (one in and two in 2016)In addition, a Background report will provide criminal, civil and marital history, if the information is available from the state in which the individual resides or if the individual has this information to report ? Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: My main complaint was not addressed by the business in mentionI stated that their on-line correspondence when signing up for a membership states " that any time the membership can be cancelled either by calling their support Office number any time for any reasonI called that support number and they said they could not cancel the membershipThe inconsistencies that they mention in their answer was not even the main reason I initiated this complaintthey are telling the public that we can call and cancel at anytime for any reason the membership and when I initiated this? written quote ? they could not/would not follow thruIf they had explained why they could not cancel the membership that they quoted when you sign up it would have been better.? In addition, if they had given me the information about I-tunes like they did in their answer again it could have alleviated having this complaint filed in their public record.? I know for whatever reason that I won't ever get my money back so lets just close this and move onI would like notice left open and on file? for the public to be able to see or use if this happens to someone else? To do this, we request that proof of identity be submitted along with the removal request.? Proof of identity can be a state issued ID card or driver's license.? When uploading, faxing, or mailing a copy of a driver's license, we require that the photo and the driver's license number be crossed out.? However, we do need to see the name, address, and date of birth to ensure that all information is removed from our database.? If an individual does not feel comfortable faxing us their driver’s license or other state issued identification, they can send a notarized statement of their identity.Additionally, it is important to remember that the procedure to opt out is temporary.? Intelius customers are presented with a two-tier pricing structure when purchasing reports on the Intelius websiteEach offer includes the standard full one-time purchase price and a second discounted report price plus a one-week trial of the Intelius Premier Plus membershipIf the user elects to continue with their selected report type but does not wish to continue the Premier Plus membership they are instructed to cancel the Premier Plus membership within the first days and they will only be charged $for the Premier Plus trial membershipHowever, if the user does not cancel, the member is enrolled in the Premier Plus membership and their credit card will be charged a monthly fee of $(plus applicable taxes) going forward ? Intelius provides clear disclosures within the report purchase process of the Premier Plus membership offerBelow, I have outlined the process and various places in which Intelius notified Ms [redacted] of the membership offer and details? On January 25, 2018, Ms [redacted] purchased a discounted reverse phone search in the amount of $.95, which included a 7-day trial membership of the Premier Plus membershipMs [redacted] was notified of this offer and trial membership when she selected her report type and again on the payment information pageAdditionally, she was required to manually select a checkbox on the payment information page before she could complete her report purchase that specifically notified her of the offer and the membership terms, including that her credit, debit or PayPal account would be charged $if she did not cancel her 7-day trial membership, a phone number to cancel her membership, that her membership benefits would continue through the last month for which she paid and that there are no refunds or partial month creditsMs [redacted] was presented with language in the same checkbox that by clicking the button to purchase, she agreed to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (with hyperlinks to each)A copy of the purchase page is attached for your review ? The information provided is gathered from selected public records and other publicly available informationHowever, there are times when instant results for phone numbers cannot be completedWhen this occurs, Intelius offers its Assisted Phone Search, generally an extra apaid service, for freeIn the event, we are still unable to provide any data, we provide a refund to the user for the cost of the reverse look up searchSince Intelius was unable to find any additional information regarding the phone number Ms [redacted] was researching, she was provided a refund of her initial $on January 27, I have attached a representative copy of the webpage Ms [redacted] would have received when she was notified that we were unable to provide instant information regarding the phone number she was researching ? According to our records, Ms [redacted] cancelled her trial membership within the 7-day period and, as a result, her payment method was charged $on February 2, according to the terms she agreed to when she made her initial purchase.? ? Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me but with some comments I would like you to take in mindIntellius in their response to my complaint, mentioned a second refund of that will show in to days in my bank account, in that order of ideas, I would like the Revdex.com to keep open my complaint file until that happens, or to give me options, based on your experience to protect my consumer interests and rights, so I don't have to file another complaint in case I don't get that money in my accountBecause It will be one month to two months for that to happenOther than that, I find the resolution satisfactory.for?
