Internet Domain Name Services (IDNS) Reviews (210)

I received a letter in the mail from this company giving me a list of prices for amounts of time but I wanted to keep my website up and running forThe letter had in big letters, please respond by April 30, I looked up the company phone number and called, then proceeded to wait about a minute for the next customer service representativeThe man who picked up the phone was named Kevin, I told him that I no longer wanted to continue my services and he told me that I did not purchase my domain name through himHe then told me that I should take a minute to read the letter I was sent I told him that in big black letters my response was requested by the end of this month, and he proceeded to tell me to be an adult and read the letter Word for WordFrom then on anytime I begin to speak, he spoke over me with a very rude and sarcastic tone, eventually I Burst out saying “why the f [redacted] are you being so rude I’m trying to ask you a question”- then he hung up on meI called again and waited for a customer service representative and hope that somebody different will pick up the phone and I could ask to speak with a manager- but instead the same man pick up the phone and the first words out of his mouth were are you ready to apologize to me for being disgusting and using terrible language to me? I said excuse me? No I’m not about apologize to you you’re rude, and he hung up a second timeI then called from my house phone number and waited for a representative for about four minutes before the line went dead I called fourth time, the same man picked up the phone and I asked to speak with a manager, and he said yes I’m the manager, my name is KevinI really introduced myself and said that he hung up on me twice and he said are you ready to apologize me so we can continue our phone call? So I rolled my eyes and I said sure I apologize now let’s talk about this letter I will read it to youAnd he said OK read me the letter Word for WordAbout two sentences into the letter he spoke over me asking, do you know advertising is? I said yesHe said you never purchased your domain name through us, so you’re making things upWe send these letters out so people will convert to our domain service instead of what they originally purchasedHe continued to make sarcastic remarks until finally I hung up on himHe then called my house phone non stop for minutes and I ended up taking my phone off the hookThis is a SCAMHe is the ONLY “employee” who legitimately makes people think they need to renew their subscriptions and asks for money over the phoneDO NOT USE IDNS! Let’s take them DOWNThis should be ILLEGAL

We have reviewed Mr [redacted] complaint and find it entirely without meritOur solicitations clearly state that their purpose is an offer to transfer and renewa potential client's domain name with our companyThere is absolutely nothing deceptive about itIn fact Mr [redacted] himself has clearly read the letter and understood it to be an offer to switch to us because I'm sure he read the letter, which reads:"When you switch today to Internet Domain Name Services you can take advantage of our best savings" "You must renew your domain name to obtain exclusive rights to it on the web, and now is the time to transfer and renew your name from your current registrar to Internet Domain Name Services.""Domain holders are not obligated to renew their domain with their current registrar or with Internet Domain Name ServicesReview our prices and decide for yourselfYou are under no obligation to pay the amounts stated unless you accept this offerThis notice is not a bill, it is rather an easy means of payment should you decide to switch your domain name registration to Internet Domain Name Services." The letter could not be more clear and therefore we refute any and all of the supposed allegations made in this complaintThank you

The customer Service guy I spoke with today rudeness was off the chartsWhen I did not hear what he asked after interrupting me in mid-stream of my requestI asked what he had said to me and he said, it's a simple question, what is your domain name! I calmly politely asked if there was anyone else available to speak with concerning my questionHe said ok and hung up on me When I called back to cancel I was politely told by the same guy (I would say gentlemen, but he was everything but) that he did not wish to have my business and said so what, who cares if complain to the Revdex.com Sadly all this transpired because I called to inquire about an email I had received from themTerrible way for any customer to be treated at anytimeIn my opinion, they don't deserve a rating

IDNS sent a notice of my domain name expiring and said I needed to renew it immediately Although it did mention "switching" to their company, it was misleadingly written as though we already had a domain name registrered with them Soon after, I received the bill for my domain name from the company who was already representing us It was then that I realized the switch and bait When I called I admitted that I misread the letter and would like a refund of my unused portion of the domain name protection It was then that the "owner" as he identified himself, started to yell and berate me I continuously asked to speak to someone else, and he would not let me He told me I owed him an apology and that he would "put me on hold" so I could think about it I have never been so mistreated on the phoneI hung up

I called to cancel our domain registration with iDNS, and the gentleman I spoke with was very rude and arrogant with me.  I even told him, calmly, that he was speaking to me unprofessionally, but he didn't care.  At the end of our conversation, I told him that I when I call back (I didn't have the check number to cancel our subscription), I hoped to speak with another representative, and that I would be putting in a complaint about his behaviorHis response to me was, "Good luck with that."

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE "Business" No words can describe the experience I had with IDNS todayThe man on the phone hung up on me several times after I told him that I wanted a refund for being tricked into believing that my domain name was going to expire if I didn't renewI received something titled "Domain Name Expiration Notice" in the mailWhat fraudHe told me he wouldn't provide me a refund unless I apologized for calling his business a scam and treated me BEYOND complete crapI'm still in awe over the experience I just hadHe wouldn't let me speak to anyone else to try and settle the situation--not even his manager or co-workerHe was awfulI can't believe they haven't been shut down yet

I'll simply just paste the email I received from them below This is also representative of how the man on the phone spoke to me when I called I can only assume it's a one-person shop and this was him also writing as well? From: Support Date: Wed, Sep 19, at 2:PM Subject: Re: IDNS confirmation for order # [redacted] It said no such thing, perhaps you don't know how to read? ------------- Customer Support iDNS [email protected] www.idnsinc.net ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Support Date: Wed, Sep 19, at 2:PM Subject: Re: IDNS confirmation for order # [redacted] You are not a customer you are simply a mnic person who doesn't read and then makes baseless accusations, much akin to a child------------- Customer Support iDNS [email protected] www.idnsinc.net

I received mail from IDNS a few weeks ago about renewing my domain services, and to me this letter is misleading I used an LLC registration company to handle all my startup affairs last year, which included Domain name registration It was inform to me by the LLC registration company that I must renew my domain name annually, but I did not know what third party vendor was hosting it, because it was control through the LLC registration portal The LLC registration company used third party vendors to maintain customers accounts I was under the impression that IDNS was my current carrier After completing the transaction it was requesting that I contact my hosting company to transfer codes and that when it registered to me that this was not the third party used by LLC registration company Therefore, the next day I call to void my less than hours pending transaction - the representative identify I was calling to cancel and became very aggressive and rude The representati

As many others I received a letter from this company advising me that my domain name (which is purchased and maintained through G [redacted] ) would expire on a certain date of I did not "Act today" and send them a payment, at first I thought maybe G [redacted] used an outside company for billing so I logged into my account to find that my domain name does not expire until a later date than what was printed in the letter and that I was set up to auto renew with them when the time cameI'm glad I did some checking and did not take this latter seriously or send any money

My company received a notice from IDNS in the mail that our domain was expiringI called them to sort things out and talked to THE RUDEST person on the phoneI gave him my domain name and he asked, "How do you expect me to help you when your domain isn't even registered with us?" Then I mentioned the notice we received from him and he repeatedly told me that I didn't know what I was talking about and how was he suppose to help meThe phone call ended with him telling me to go F [redacted] myselfYes, he actually said that

My organization in good faith subscribed for a 5-year renewal on our domain name registration, ending November 28, We no longer need this service and requested a refund for the two years remaining on our subscription ($72) Today Kevin S***, Customer Service Manager, told me the renewal was "permanent" and no refunds would be granted My receipt instructed me to visit [redacted] for a complete list of terms and conditions My attempt to do that ended with a notification that the website certification was moved and it was recommended I not proceed

I own a few domain names that I register through a name service that is not iDNSAs each domain approaches its expiration, iDNS sends me a mailer that looks like an invoice for reviewalUnless you look close enough, it looks like a simple renewal form, but the price that iDNS is attempt to charge me is almost 4x what I pay with my current provider iDNS might not be breaking any laws with it's mailer, but the practice seems predatoryiDNS is clearly trying to trick people into buying a service from them that they already have for a cheaper price

This business is falsely stating that your domain name registration is expiring The statements made in their "Domain Name Expiration Notice" use highly suggestive words like "You must renew" and "Failure to renew" both of which are statements regarding our business THIS BUSINESS IS CLEARLY TRYING TO SWINDLE PEOPLE INTO SENDING MONEY THIS BUSINESS HAS MANY COMPLAINTS AND NEGATIVE REVIEWS ON Revdex.com yet continues to operate

I thought this company was my domain service and sent them a renewal check for $ on 7/2/for a year renewal of my website My own domain service then contacted me and assured me that it was a mistake I called idns and was told I would receive a full refund shortly, confirmation # [redacted] I also have an email from ids customer service saying it would sent our weeks ago 10/14/ I have receive nothing and my phone calls no longer connect, nor any email response

We have never provided information to anyone concerning anythingThis complaint is without specifics or even an attempt to provide proof of their claim, it is absolutely without meritWe request that this complaint be removed immediately as it has no basis in reality Thank you Consumer Relations [redacted]

This business is a total fraudI already have a domain name through another provider and they tried to convince me to re-purchase the domain name through them (acting as though they bought out my domain service!)

This customer received our offer CLEARLY asking if they would like to transfer over to us for their renewal, it would appear through their own carelessness they did not bother to read our advertisement which clearly stated: "When you switch today to Internet Domain Name Services you can take advantage of our best savings" "You must renew your domain name to obtain exclusive rights to it on the web, and now is the time to transfer and renew your name from your current registrar to Internet Domain Name Services.""Domain holders are not obligated to renew their domain with their current registrar or with Internet Domain Name ServicesReview our prices and decide for yourselfYou are under no obligation to pay the amounts stated unless you accept this offerThis notice is not a bill, it is rather an easy means of payment should you decide to switch your domain name registration to Internet Domain Name Services."This customer contacted our customer service department and was incredibly rude and disrespectful to our representative who simply advised that if they made a mistake all they had to do was send an email requesting a refund and we would happily obligeThe email was received from the customer and a refund promptly issued back to their card yesterdayWe consider the matter closed and in the future advise the customer to beactually pay attention to what they are doin IDNS Consumer Relations

This company sends out mail scams I received one today As the scammers say replying to a previous complaint it does indeed say, "This notice is not a bill" in bold, but I had to look hard for it For all intents and purposes it looks like a genuine invoice that requires a paymentThey even use a scare line, "You must renew your domain name to retain exclusive rights to it ." Which again is true but I don't need to renew it with them, I'm doing fine with my current registrarI'm going to send my letter copy to the postmaster general and let them decide if it's mail fraud or not

I contacted iDNS after receiving a letter that looked like an invoiceThe inividual who answered the phone was difficult to understand and after struggling to communicate for a few seconds I was called "a dumb it" and hung up onI called back for and clarification and was told that my mother was a stupid w [redacted] and to go jump into the nearest lake with my computerI don't even understand what I did wrongWhy won't they help me? I don't even live near a lake

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: It is obvious this guy is consistent with receiving complaints since he cannot remember the number of people he is probably being rude too For one I am not a woman, and as far as having a simple process for refunds it is not even close to how he describe in his rebuttal This guy who refuse to disclose his name literally force in order to process my refund I had to read him the soliciting letter that came in the mail This guy literally told me that he will not process my refund until I read the letter to him, as he quote to me that I must not be competent enough to understand the difference between renewal versus transferring of domain name It is also weird in his rebuttal he consistent in using the terminology of "we" when he clearly seem to be a one man shop He would not provide me his name, his agent number, or even transfer my call to a member of management or colleague for that matter He was very rude about when I suppose to have receive my refund which I have not received yet, but I file a claim with my bank and was told to give it business day Today is day Regards, [redacted] ***
