Internet Domain Name Services (IDNS) Reviews (210)

We received a letter to renew our domain name for our church and that this was the company to go through with keeping what is connected to our [redacted] Turns out it is a complete scamWe paid out $to renew for years and it does not keep our domain nameWe can only keep it through namecheapWe wish for our money back as we are a non profit church and do not appreciate being scammed

I received a notice from them indicating that our domain name was expiring; when I called to inquire who their contact was, the man on the phone started yelling at meDo not fall for their scam; turns out they wanted to know if we wanted to transfer our domain name to themWhen I asked why we would want to do that, he yelled back, "you don't, then fine!"

I received a bill in the mail from this company for a domain name from [redacted] I called [redacted] and they do not bill through IDNS Internet Domain Name Services [redacted]   Plus their charges are way over [redacted] prices to renew a Domain Name This is a SCAM per [redacted] I am reporting this because this IDNS company is billing customers and not a company [redacted] ever has or will use I have a secure account directly with [redacted] and will tear this bill up This is criminal for a company to bill me when they are not [redacted] *** Please help to eliminate this type of wrong business practice which takes money from innocent US citizens This billing practice by IDNS should be shut down immediately Thank you

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me for the refundUnfortunately the response about the rudeness and attitude is in correctWhen I was questioning the business practices of the company I was confronted with a very rude customer service person who began to become irateAfter the phone call I began to research the internet about this business and I see multiple people having the same issues I was confronted withdue to the findings of many victims on line I decided to contact the Revdex.com Thank you for your assistance in this matter Regards, [redacted]

It is a real shame how many people this company has wrongfully taken advantage of. It is even worse that the New Jersey Attorney General or someone has not legally gone after this company so they stop ripping off innocent people who do not understand the scam letter they send out. We just received another scam letter today.

This is a company that uses very vague language in their advertising in order to gain new customers That does not seem to be a good way to KEEP customers Don't waste your time or money with IDNS Inc They charge times the market rate for domain registration and I doubt their customer service is worth anywhere close to that

This company sends out "Phishing" type mail in an attempt to lure customers away from their domain name providersThe letters sent try to trick people to renewing their websites, when really it would be transferring rights and business to this company, and at a much higher rate This is pure scam stuff, and totally wrong The letters come without ever signing or agreeing to anything

Hold on Everyone! Don't even talk to these people! Go to https://www.whois.com/ and look up your Domain NameAt the very top of the page, there is a search box, enter your domain name, click on the magnifying glass WHOIS buttonThe following report comes backDOMAIN INFORMATION Domain:l [redacted] c.com Registrar:GoDaddy.com, LLC Registration Date:2015-01-Expiration Date:2019-01-Contact your current Registrar (in this case GoDaddy.com, LLC) and find out what you are currently payingChances are it's a lot less than what IDNS wantsDon't worry your current Registrar will send you a notice to renew when the time is rightI hope this helps if not and you don't know who to ask, go to your local Library they will find someone that can help you sort it outIDNS is just trying to steal your business from your current RegistrarOh, and by the way, a little research I found that at Bergen Ave is a UPS Store so the Suite # is probably a PO boxCheck for yourself, search for "THE UPS Store Jersey City" and see what comes back

We received what we presumed to be a bill from this company talking about our domain and renewing it I was given this bill to pay as we thought it was to keep our high school website up and running But it turned out to be a company looking for moneyI was told later that these kind of companies contact people and businesses all the time I called the company and tried to explain what happened and was yelled at by a very rude man who would not let me speak and told I wasn't getting any money back and to call back when I could have an adult conversation then the guy hung up on me All this company did was reregister the name but the actual website is who need to register it to keep it goingSo now the website is not useable any longer unless we reinstate the site and it will cost more money to do so

This customer has been refunded, there is nothing else we can offer themThey have a poor attitude and seem to want to harass our company for no reasonSome people are just beyond helping

Paying to much to switch your domain registration to a sketchy company: $40/CDN/year Reading the iDNS responses to client reviews, pricelessI normally say nothing negative about another company that does what I do I'll make an exception for iDNS I've been getting unsolicited letters from thesewell, let's just call them ss (there are so many English words to describe these people but that'll work for now.) for at least a decadeThey're less deceptively worded than they used to be, but they're hoping that people don't read it too careful and overpay to switch to themAsk yourself this: Do you REALLY want to do business with the sort of company that uses these sorts of practices AND verbally berates clients as they do in their replies on the Revdex.com website? If you're a misogynist with too much money, go for it Otherwise, stay clear

A total SCAM! I bought my domain name through godaddy, and then received a renewal notice from this FAKE company telling me I had to renewDO NOT PAY THEM A DIME!!

As many others I received a letter from this company advising me that my domain name (which is purchased and maintained through G***) would expire on a certain date of I did not "Act today" and send them a payment, at first I thought maybe G*** used an outside company for billing so I logged into my account to find that my domain name does not expire until a later date than what was printed in the letter and that I was set up to auto renew with them when the time cameI'm glad I did some checking and did not take this latter seriously or send any money

I own a few domain names that I register through a name service that is not iDNSAs each domain approaches its expiration, iDNS sends me a mailer that looks like an invoice for reviewalUnless you look close enough, it looks like a simple renewal form, but the price that iDNS is attempt to charge me is almost 4x what I pay with my current provider
iDNS might not be breaking any laws with it's mailer, but the practice seems predatoryiDNS is clearly trying to trick people into buying a service from them that they already have for a cheaper price

This company is a total scamMy domains are hosted with a company that I know and trust, but IDNS harvested my info from public registry info and sent me a slick looking letter saying me that my domain was about to expire and if I didn't renew soon I'd lose the rights to my domain and servicesTheir rates are 4-5x the rate of most registrars and you have to read the small print at the bottom to see that you would be switching from your current registrar to them

I'll simply just paste the email I received from them below This is also representative of how the man on the phone spoke to me when I called I can only assume it's a one-person shop and this was him also writing as well?

Very rude on the phone! Customer service at its worst!

When I called to request a refund for services not provided, I was verbally abused to the point where the person "Kevin" from "Customer Service" told me if I didn't apologize for my couching his invoice as fraudulent, he would not refund my invoice and promptly hung up on me Subsequent phone calls resulted in a similar outcome

I contacted iDNS after receiving a letter that looked like an invoiceThe inividual who answered the phone was difficult to understand and after struggling to communicate for a few seconds I was called "a dumb it" and hung up onI called back for and clarification and was told that my mother was a stupid w*** and to go jump into the nearest lake with my computerI don't even understand what I did wrongWhy won't they help me? I don't even live near a lake

I was sent a renewal form and bill to update/renew my domain name for my business website from iDNS I sent a check and received an email approximately one month later indicating I needed to contact another service provider to get an authorization code, when I contacted the other domain name service provider they referred me to SquareSpace, who my website is through I was informed by SquareSpace that they are the ones I pay to for my domain name and not iDNS, and SS believed it was a scam When I contacted iDNS to figure out what was going on the agent became very aggressive with me, interrupted me, told me I was incorrect with the information I had I asked for him to not interrupt me and he continued to do so, even stated that he WAS going to interrupt me, I asked to speak to a supervisor and he informed me he was a supervisor He demanded I give him my domain name, which I refused because I no longer felt comfortable speaking with him to resolve my issueI let him know that I
