Internet Domain Name Services (IDNS) Reviews (210)

Im new to the company I work for, and we received a letter in the mail from IDNS stating that our domain name needed to be renewed, but also advertised us switching to themI was unsure as to whether or not we had a current account with IDNS for our website, so I called to find out what the letter meantThe customer service rep I spoke with was very rude and condescending, asking me "How could you have an account with us if its asking you to switch to us?" and when I asked about the renewal portion of the letter because I had recently renewed our domain name through another company so I didn't understand why they were telling me it was about to expire, "You do understand how mail works, right?" I asked the rep several times to pull back his attitude, as I was only trying to understand what the letter was forExtremely bad business etiquette, and we certainly wont be using their services

A total SCAM! I bought my domain name through godaddy, and then received a renewal notice from this FAKE company telling me I had to renewDO NOT PAY THEM A DIME!!

I received a letter from iDNS, stating that my domain name was going to expireSo, I sent the amount on the letter to renew my domainI am now receiving an email from my domain site that the domain was about to expireI called the company I use for my domain and it seems that I do have to pay them as they are not part of iDNS

This company has repeatedly contacted customer of our client and provided them with information regarding their domain name and the renewal of their domain name

This company used public records of mine having a FL Real Estate License,
owning a Domain Name, sending a card to renew, which was the exact date
it was to expire, I picked up the mail, went to their web site and paid it, which
later I found it was NOT the business I was to renew my Domain Name, they
charged $which the company I have it with charges $19.95, not only did
they acquire my debit card information, I found out too late they are a scam
outfitThe way they designed their mail out it was close to and had my information
that would make it seem to be the correct company to payI hope others don't do
the same mistake I did, now we have to get new debit cards!

Got the same SPAM letter from IDNS that made it very unclear that they were not in fact your current domain holder and were looking to get your business I fell for it and paid for a new renewal $ After seeing the charge on my Credit Card bill, I looked them up and saw that they were known for pulling this scam I called up and said I had been taken advantage of and wanted to get a refund I was met by the most arrogant and insulting man who stated his name as "Kevin S***" which I know is also a lie He said I obviously didn't know how to read and that I was just stupid, they weren't fraudulent and if I had any brains or ability to read, I would have seen hat why had "clearly" stated that they did not own my domain name and were offering me an opportunity to change I exchanged a few heated words with this individual which just ended up in him calling me an *** and demanded that I apologize to him before he would consider refunding my money I am obviously not the first person to rip a strip off him and he was firing insults at me at record speed If this was a legit company, they would be out of business within a month They are in it for the short game to defraud people out of money for as long as they can before they are shut down Brutal that this is happening ~ spread the word, buyer beware!! They are getting more and more savvy at how they word their letters and they know damn well what they are doing If you get "Kevin" on the lineget your back up and fire backhe wasn't hired for his customer service expertisehe's there to try to intimidate you and insult you into letting it go Don't back down!

Our accounting personnel received a solicitation from iDNS and unfortunately thought it was a bill and payed for a "renewal" for our company's domain name The solicitation notice did specify that this notice was "not a bill," but it was paid for in error Once we realized the error we called iDNS to explain the situation and request a refund The man on the phone said our explanation was "long winded" and went on to be very rude, verbally aggressive, and uncooperative with us When we asked for his name he refused provide us with it He then started repeating over and over that he was not going to provide us with his name and if we wanted a refund we needed to give him the name on the card we used and the last digits of the card Base on his verbally abusive manner, we did not feel comfortable providing him with any informationWe tried to obtain his name again but he hung up on us We attempted to contact iDNS a few minutes later in hopes of reaching a different person, but the same man answered the phone with the same horrible and rude demeanor When we asked him for his name he hung up on us again because he said that he was not going to give us his name If this is a legitimate company, it has very bad customer service Instead of dealing with such a rude and aggressive person for a refund we opted to contact our credit card company and have them dispute it on our behalf It is very sad that a person would behave that way, especially when he was treated properly and with respect the entire time

We received a letter to renew our domain name for our church and that this was the company to go through with keeping what is connected to our *** Turns out it is a complete scamWe paid out $to renew for years and it does not keep our domain nameWe can only keep it through namecheapWe wish for our money back as we are a non profit church and do not appreciate being scammed

I just received a letter from IDNS todayAt first I thought it was a new internet company, till I noticed my website mentioned on the bottom, then I was curiousGoogled this company and right away found out it was a scamFirst of all, my website is covered under a different source so, they would tell me if I needed to update anything, not this IDNS placeNot falling for itNice try

Wow...I've NEVER been spoken to with such disrespectI'm actually taken aback by the way customer spoke to me about a concern I hadRather alarming to see negative reviews and hostile responses from whomever is handling their accountBEWARE

This customer has contacted us for a refund and one will be issued as per our refund policy
IDNS Inc

Very rude and unprofessional! I am not a customer of this company but I called in to ask some questions regarding a letter they had sent meI did not fully ready the letter, my fault, and turns out misunderstood what the letter was sayingHowever, when I was innocently asking my questions, the person helping me said; that is not what the letter says at all, maybe should re-read the letterHe then hung up on meExtremely bad service and would not at all recommend this company to anybody

It appears I was the Victim of Domain Slamming by iDNS Domain Slamming is a trick to get you to transfer your domain registration to another registrar like iDNS
Anyway they sent me a letter that made it look like I needed to renew my Domain for my website, and I fell for it and sent them $ ( I sent them a check in the US Mail ) I realized this a few weeks later when I received an email saying they received my $80, and they now required the authorization code/EPP key from my current registrar
You can google this business easily, and see tons of other people have fallen for this scam The address on the return envelope is *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** ***
I contacted them and they said they have noted my refund request and will process it and send to me in weeks
I doubt I will get the refund tho, I found nobody in my google search that has actuallyl received their refund
The phone number they gave in their mailing was ***

What IDNS sent this customer was an offer to transfer to our company for their domain renewal, it said exactly thatIf they did not read it or made a mistake not a problem, we have a full refund policy, all they need to do is contact us for a refund which they have not done yet***

I just renewed registration on my domainUpon calling them to request the information to transfer the gentleman who answered the phone was very RUDE!!!

I had to call them twice within one year to be put on do not mail listThey do not listen, are even rude over the phone after being politely asked to stop sending my business unwanted mailI would rate it stars!

I called to cancel an order that was placed with IDNS on 04/04/by a colleague of mine who did not realize that IDNS was not our domain registrarThe representative to whom I spoke had a tone of voice that indicated that he had very little interest in providing actual customer serviceWhen I asked if there was any other way he could access the order, he stated "I have the orderI need your last name and the last four of the credit card to cancel it." As a former supervisor in several call center environments, I am well aware of what good customer service sounds like and this was not itI replied "Well there's no need to be a dick about it." And he hung up on meI have now tried calling back approximately timesThe first time he demanded an apology and hung up on me when I refusedEach time I have called back I am immediately hung up on or sent to a voice mailboxMy latest attempt tells me that the voice mail box is not accepting any additional messages
None of this is

I'm not sure for how many years I've been scammed by their deceptive advertising concerning preserving my website name***, my service, renews my website name every yearI didn't realize that idns, Internet Domain Name Services, had me believing that I had to pay them yearly as well, until it was pointed out to meI insist on a refund from Internet Domain Name Services in the sum of $45.00, paid July 3, Thank you for your help in this matter

My complaint is specific to this companies practice of sending out what appears to be a bill for renewing an online domain nameIn truth I bear some responsibility for not reading their mailing carefully and double checking my recordsHowever, this company clearly seeks to confuse of trick people into renewing or transferring their previously purchased internet domain namesLuckily I caught the errorI did call the company and was told they would not charge my card but the representative was combativeHis tone and condescending attitude were evidence that I they receive calls like mine on a regular basisIn short, I believe their practices are deceptive

I received a "Domain Name Expiration Notice" from iDNS in the mail that appeared to be a renewal reminder and not an offer for servicesBelieving this to be a renewal, I paid $for a one year periodWhen I discovered that I already have the same service from another company, I contacted the customer service call center of iDNSThe representative was belligerent and condescending and would not answer any of my inquires for a refundHe directed me to his website and stated to send an email, but would not confirm a refund
