Internet Domain Name Services (IDNS) Reviews (210)

Today I called the number for this company, IDNS and a man named Kevin answeredThis was the worst most un-professional person I have ever had to speak with in my entire lifeIt was the most awful experience and why would I ever want to do any business with them after thisThe very first words out of his mouth after I explained why I was calling...well you must not be able to read English because you don't have a domain with us! then he goes on to say I am not very smart since I cannot understand a simple letter. So I politely asked him his name which he responded was KevinI said could I please speak to a supervisor? He said No! I said why not, he said they are far too busy to answer all of my stupid "DFQ's"...I was floored, I could not believe itSo I said well I guess there is nothing else you can help me with, goodbyeHe actually hung up on me before I could!! I cannot believe thisIf they sent us this letter looking for our business why this type of customer service? Oh well, lesson learned...I should have hung up sooner!

Total scamSent a bogus email insinuating they required payment to renew a domain they did not lease or ownThen accepted a ridiculous payment of $for a domain name they have no authority for

AVOID AT ALL COSTSI reached out to inquire about a scam-like letter I received in the mail and to my surprise, customer support was horrifically unprofessionalI was met with hostility and was told I couldn't read"Lady you can hang up and my life will go on." When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was met with even more hostilitySurprise surpriseNEWS FLASH: When all the reviews on Revdex.com are negative and are met with hostile & defensive remarks from IDNS, it's a sign...STAY AWAYAlso, iDNS, please take me off your list :)

I received a domain slamming letter from iDNS

This business is falsely stating that your domain name registration is expiring The statements made in their "Domain Name Expiration Notice" use highly suggestive words like "You must renew" and "Failure to renew" both of which are statements regarding our business
THIS BUSINESS IS CLEARLY TRYING TO SWINDLE PEOPLE INTO SENDING MONEY
THIS BUSINESS HAS MANY COMPLAINTS AND NEGATIVE REVIEWS ON Revdex.com yet continues to operate

I received mail from IDNS a few weeks ago about renewing my domain services, and to me this letter is misleading I used an LLC registration company to handle all my startup affairs last year, which included Domain name registration It was inform to me by the LLC registration company that I must renew my domain name annually, but I did not know what third party vendor was hosting it, because it was control through the LLC registration portal The LLC registration company used third party vendors to maintain customers accounts I was under the impression that IDNS was my current carrier After completing the transaction it was requesting that I contact my hosting company to transfer codes and that when it registered to me that this was not the third party used by LLC registration company
Therefore, the next day I call to void my less than hours pending transaction - the representative identify I was calling to cancel and became very aggressive and rude The representati

My company received a notice from IDNS in the mail that our domain was expiringI called them to sort things out and talked to THE RUDEST person on the phoneI gave him my domain name and he asked, "How do you expect me to help you when your domain isn't even registered with us?" Then I mentioned the notice we received from him and he repeatedly told me that I didn't know what I was talking about and how was he suppose to help meThe phone call ended with him telling me to go F* myselfYes, he actually said that

This company is a scamThey send you a letter that you need to register your domain that they don't even have ownership ofI called and they were complete jerks

IDNS sent a letter to renew our domain name When I continued to received emails regarding the expiration of our domain name I called our original company host and they told me it was possibly a scam I then researched the company that sent the mail invoice (the company I paid) The man that answered the phone would not refund me the $I paid, and he would not give me his name When I asked to talk to his supervisor he simply put me on hold and answered the phone again I informed him I was going to file a complaint with the Revdex.com and he became hostile toward me I called back to see if someone else would help me and I talked to a woman She said I would have a refund check in weeks I do not feel certain I will receive a refund

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
IDNS has repeatedly contacted customers of our client and misrepresented information regarding IDNS' domain name renewal fees and the price charged for registration of domain names by our customer Our customer's fees for domain servies are as follows:
year domain name registration is $
year domain name registration is $
year domain name registration is $
The attached communication (which has the customer information redacted) was sent by IDNS The highlighted information is and misleading because it states that the customer saves money by transferring their domain away from our client ($an d$respectively)
As set forth above, our customer's pricing for domain name registration, is significantly less than what IDNS offers In fact, IDNS does not offer a "savings", but rather charges up to 25% more for its domain registration servicesMoreover, as a direct result of communications by IDNS to our client's customers, there has been a considerable amount of confusion created In the event this matter remains unresolved, legal action will be taken against IDNSRegards,

It is a real shame how many people this company has wrongfully taken advantage of It is even worse that the New Jersey Attorney General or someone has not legally gone after this company so they stop ripping off innocent people who do not understand the scam letter they send out We just received another scam letter today

Horrible Customer service! They need to train their people on customer service, they are so rude

IDNS sent a "Domain Name Expiration Notice" saying that we needed to renew and that "failure to renew your domain may result in a loss of your online identity" Our accounts payable sent them $79.10, not knowing this was not our current service provider We emailed them for a refund, telling them that our domain is hosted by another company (who we were fine with) and the guy just got argumentative, and said to prove that his admail was fraudulant He is belligerent, seems to want to start an online fight and refuses to refund the money even though I told him we don't want their services I believe that the admail format of the notice is deliberately designed to confuse and deceive peopleAfter research, I see many others have fallen preyThe company seems fairly confident that no recourse will be taken against them

My organization in good faith subscribed for a 5-year renewal on our domain name registration, ending November 28, We no longer need this service and requested a refund for the two years remaining on our subscription ($72) Today Kevin S***, Customer Service Manager, told me the renewal was "permanent" and no refunds would be granted My receipt instructed me to visit *** for a complete list of terms and conditions My attempt to do that ended with a notification that the website certification was moved and it was recommended I not proceed

A very obvious scamThrow the notice away if you receive oneAlso, side note to the "business" owner, leaving passive aggressive comments for reviews is not helping youEspecially when this is worded and designed as a bill, and anyone can easily find pictures of it onlineThis is not an offer for savings, and even if it was, the prices are ridiculousI'm glad I called the actual registrar to clarify and sent them the notice so that they can warn their customers in the future :)

This company sent me an invoice for my business website, it appeared to be legit and I thought it was for my current domain name service holder I paid $with a check and IDNS sent me an email telling me I needed to have my current domain name service release the name I sent several emails to IDNS asking to speak to someone about the issue, and I get no response I looking on the scams, and this company is listed

I paid the invoice they sent me for the past years for domain serviceI recently realized my error as my domain name is registered with ** *** They have provided no service to me but have billed me $the past years I emailed them and requested a refund, they said the refund would be mailed in to weeksAfter weeks I emailed again and they said the check would go out that same weekIt's now been approxweeks since my first contact and I still have not received a refund They are no longer responding to my email requestI would like my $back

In a similar fashion to previous companies that were fined, went through suspensions and litigations, owners again are receiving multiple deceptive snail mailings presented in a similar format as a bill, for many registrations where the data was culled from the public recordsnearly identical in deceptive and misleading formatBe wary of mailbacks that goes to untraceable post office boxesBy todays standards, anonymous seeking of credit card information is considered phishing

The Attorney General needs to stop IDNS deceptive, fraudulent and misleading marketing in which they send a bogus invoice (at to 10x the market rate) trying to trick a consumer in to believing they are the registrar of your domain name, when in fact they are not

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE "Business"
No words can describe the experience I had with IDNS todayThe man on the phone hung up on me several times after I told him that I wanted a refund for being tricked into believing that my domain name was going to expire if I didn't renewI received something titled "Domain Name Expiration Notice" in the mailWhat fraudHe told me he wouldn't provide me a refund unless I apologized for calling his business a scam and treated me BEYOND complete crapI'm still in awe over the experience I just hadHe wouldn't let me speak to anyone else to try and settle the situation--not even his manager or co-workerHe was awfulI can't believe they haven't been shut down yet
