[redacted] states that she was advised by a local staff member that her membership was cancelled in February 2016. LA Fitness provides members with the option to cancel their membership at any location between the hours of 8AM-5PM Monday through Friday, but we strongly encourage that members mail in a written cancellation request via certified mail to ensure return-receipt. This cancellation policy is not designed to make it difficult for our members to cancel, but rather to ensure cancellations are handled properly. We have no record of receipt of such a cancellation request for [redacted]’s membership.
As a result, no cancellation was processed and monthly billing continued based on agreement terms. Nevertheless, as a courtesy, a cancellation was completed on May 24, 2016 and a refund back to her[redacted] card in the amount of $89.90 was processed. Refunds typically take 5-7 business days to complete. We believe this matter to be resolved. Thank you.

Management contacted Mrs. [redacted] regarding her concerns with the billing on her family membership, which includes herself and her husband, and the opening date for our Manifee location. Mrs. [redacted] expressed frustration with the information being provided by the local club regarding the...

estimated opening date for the Manifee location and states that her husband needs immediate access to a location that is convenient to their home. As a courtesy, the entire family membership has been cancelled and a refund in the amount of $328.92 was issued back to the Visa card on file. Refunds typically take 5-7 business days to complete. We believe this matter to be resolved. Thank you.

LA Fitness processed a refund in the amount of $95.72. We apologize for any misunderstanding and appreciate her feedback.

LA Fitness has been in contact with member regarding her concerns and we have extended additional time for her to use the remaining sessions.

Our previous response still stands. Management spoke to Mr. [redacted] in regards to his wife's monthly billed fitness membership and the agreement that was signed on 2/26/16. They have declined our offer to upgrade at no additional cost to multi club access should they wish to reinstate her membership today. Mr. [redacted] declined the offer and will keep the membership cancelled at this time. No further action will be taken. Thank you.

Management spoke to Mr. Burda briefly on 2-16-2017 to discuss his concerns. Management states that Mr. Burda disconnected the call immediately stating he would call back. However, we have not received a return call. Our previous responds still stands. Should Mr. Burda wish to discuss further. We encourage him to return our call. Thank you.

LA Fitness processed a refund in the amount of $240.00 (refund applied to the same account used for payment). Please allow 5-7 business days for the refund to post to member's account. LA Fitness does not report to any credit agencies. Member's credit will not be affected.

I am very in happy with this response I only used about 5 sessions and was not happy with the results and I did try to break the contract within the first 10 days after I let the trainer now how in happy it was he told me there was nothing I can do about it and that I was basically st out of luck is this how big company in America get rich especially when taking money from the needy this is not common sense I did not use 12000$ worth of garbage 25 min training sessions I know I'm not the only one in this position ... High powered sales tactics and I'm not happy that's why when I found out the Revdex.com can help I came here and further more I was kicked out of my gym and embarrassed by the way the staff treated myself and my wife I admit she became a little irrated but I kept my cool and was still kicked out ... If there is a way to resolve this I would appreciate to outright turn this onto a customer is wrong to me this money was hard work but to was just another dumb customer... Yours truly [redacted]

I feel it would be best for me to locate another gym facility (not LA Fitness) that the people are nicer and not rude. I will no longer recommend LA Fitness to none of my friends or co-workers like we used to.  So you can close this case, I am glad that at least I did get a refund for the two months we didn't go.

Management contacted [redacted] regarding concerns related to the price of childcare offered at time of primary members sign up, verses the price when childcare was added. Member stated that she was advised that price of childcare would be $10 per month, regardless of when it is added....

We apologize for the experience when attempting to resolve this issue at the club with the local management. As courtesy, childcare membership price was reduced to $10 per month for future billing. A refund was processed for $15 to the [redacted] on file. Refunds typically take 5-7 business days to complete. We believe this matter to be resolved. Thank you.

Management spoke to [redacted] on 2/23/15 regardinghis monthly billed membership. Per his request a cancellation was processed andno further billing will occur. Member is satisfied. Thank you.

Our Membership Policies and Club Rules and Regulations, which are part of the membership agreement signed by [redacted] clearly state that no Member or guest may coach or train other Members or guests (as solelydetermined by LA Fitness). Members may not engage in any business...

or enterprise while at the LA Fitness clubs.  Like most health clubs, LA Fitness does not permit its members to provide personal training services to other members, as it creates a conflict of interest and utilizes our equipment and space to compete against us. Prior to taking the step of revoking [redacted] membership, this policy was explained to [redacted]  She was given warnings and an opportunity to cease these types of activity.  However, [redacted] chose to ignore these warnings.  Thus, after an investigation and a discussion with [redacted] on January 13, 2015 it was determined necessary to discontinue her membership privileges. The decision to revoke a membership is never taken lightly, but found to be necessary in this case. Notably, the LA Fitness membership agreement affords us the right to cancel a membership at any time for any reason, so there has been no violation of his contractual rights.  Accordingly, for the reasons summarized above, we are simply choosing to exercise this right pursuant to her membership agreement.

Management spoke to [redacted] regarding the incident that occurred with his wife and joining kids klub. We advised him that as a courtesy his wife's membership can be reinstated and the reinstatement fee would be waived and the point of sale rate of $10 per month could be honored for Kids Klub. He stated he would consult with [redacted] and follow up by 3/18/16. No further action will be taken at this time. Thank you.

LA Fitness contacted member regarding her concerns and it was agreed upon between member and LA Fitness that we would cancel the remaining term of her personal training agreement without a fee after June's monthly billing.

As a resolution, we have honored a cancellation with a full refund in the amount of $209.93 back to [redacted] Card on file. Refunds typically take 5-7 business days to complete.
