I contacted *** again, who attempted to look up the charge unsuccessfullyHe told me no record of the charge was in the systemI initiated a second chargeback with my credit card company, and am awaiting the results of that investigationLA Fitness told me they are completely willing to refund the amount if they are able toPlease see the attachment

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I feel as if my concerns have been neglectedI explained my case in saying that the only reason in which I signed up for a personal trainer was due to the fact that the sales representative, ***, promised to give me additional sessions a month with him, making it a total of sessions over a term of monthsObtaining a personal trainer was outside of my financial comfort zone, however, due to this offer, it seemed more feasible and I agreed to a contact
My personal trainer, ***, knew of this agreement and had discussions with the sales representative to work on my fitness plan together. Soon after though, I had troubles making appointments and contacting the sales representative for the training sessions I was promised and he was then relocated to another locationWhen I brought this up, they stated that the sales representative had been doing the same deal with others, but was now in "deep waters."
I was cheated out of the extra two sessions each month after the first and am once again, requesting that I get a refundIf LA Fitness does not agree to my previous terms, I am willing to negotiate and come to a resolutionIn addition, LA Fitness states that their district manager, *** * has attempted to contact me to address my concerns, however, this is untrueI had never received a phone call in regards to this situation and do not have any missed calls or messages from the individualI am happy to speak with him, however, have no form of contactOverall, I am extremely displeased with the service I have been receiving from LA Fitness; While I used to refer many people to join this gym, I now sense a lack of trust with the company and would not recommend its services.]Regards,*** ***

Management spoke to member regarding his complaint. Management as a courtsey honored adding guest privileges for $extra per month plus first and last duesWe believe this matter to be resolved

Management contacted Mrs*** regarding her concerns with an incident at the Lawrence locationLA Fitness strives to provide excellent customer service and we regret that Mrs*** came away from the incident feeling that local staff handled the situation in an unprofessional mannerThis is not the experience we want anyone to haveAs a courtesy, we offered to refund the pre-paid last month’s billing on Mrs*** membership or reinstate her account, as she stated her membership should not have been cancelledDuring our conversation, Mrs*** did not accept either resolution offers and stated she would contact backHowever, we have not received a follow up callShould she need additional assistance or would like to move forward with either resolution offered, we encourage her to contact usWe believe the resolutions offered to be fair and reasonableThank you

Management attempted to contact Mr*** regarding his concerns related to both his Fitness and Training membershipsManagement has been in contact with Mr***’s wife regarding the complaint and status of the membershipsAs a courtesy, we have cancelled both the Fitness and Training
memberships to prevent any future chargesWe are working with the member, who has our direct contact information, to provide us with relocation documentsOnce received and reviewed, we will be discussing any additional resolution optionsThank you

LA Fitness cancelled member's mother's personal training agreement as well as her regular fitness membership and we are in the process of issuing full refunds (refunds applied to the same accounts used for payment)Please allow 5-business days for the refunds to post to member's account

On the same day that a phone call to the National did not workSomeone did call backThey only did that once, and only after they said no on the phone, so I just complained again to the Revdex.comNo need to hear no for the ninth or tenth timeI did not return that callLa fitness makes it sound like they were consistently reaching out to me to make this workThe opposite is trueThe just wanted more money
I believe that they would have continued with their imperious tone save the intervention of the Revdex.com

LA Fitness processed refunds totaling $on 8/15/15 for member's remaining personal training sessionsThe refunds were applied to the same account he was using for payment, *** card ending in ***

LA Fitness did not process refunds for charges of $from May and June of We were not able to process refunds as our records reflect that member received credit for those charges via chargebacks through *** ***The chargebacks for May and June’s dues were processed on 6/28/
May’s dues were then charged back again on 9/16/We then received a reversal on 10/6/(which offset the extra chargeback for May)Attached are screen caps from our transaction search on the *** website (please note the chargebacks and adjustment in the Description column)

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Their policy is designed to make it difficult for members to cancelI walked in the *** *** club and their employees repeatedly told me that cancelling my membership was not possible at this club and I would have to travel to my home club in *** ** to cancel my membership from inside a clubI asked to speak to a manager who told me the same thing, he was very rude and hostile from the startUpon my frustration and anger over the absurdity of their statement he later then admitted that I could in fact cancel the membership over thereI was so annoyed at this point that I walked out without cancelling and decided to complain about the manager to their customer service because customer services line was still closed at this time I had to wait an hour
Within this hour the manager cancelled my membership and sent me an email without me being present over thereI had to sign no documents stating I cancelled the memebershipIf it was so easy to cancel my membership, that all I had to do was utter the words I need my membership cancelled and didn't need to sign any documents, why did they make me travel hundreds of miles and wait six months to do thatWhy couldnt they just do it over the phoneAs far as them giving my money back is concerned, I am owed $USD of which they claim they were going to return $which they are already legally bound to because on signup I paid them for first and last month and considering this was my last month, I am already owed that $back since they charged me twice for itAlso I tried sending them an email on the 25th of last month to which their customer service never repliedPlease find a scanned copy of the email attached ]Regards,*** ***

Our District Vice President contacted *** *** step father regarding his concerns related to the Personal Training Agreement for *** ***We have agreed to cancel the training agreement with no additional billing or financial obligationAdditionally, LA Fitness will not pursue him for
the outstanding balance he currently owes
Please note that we were not contractually obligated to provide this remedy, but this was done as a customer service consideration for our memberWe believe this resolves the matter, but please advise if we can be of further assistance
