October 25, 2018To whom it may concernWe, my husband and I, are writing you as a complaint.  We have purchased a sofa and chair from J & R Furniture in Tacoma, subsity of Lakewood.Enclosed is a copy of our purchase.  In July, of 2018, we ran into manufacture problems of fabric content, loose threads and basic wear and tear.  I have used the chair mostly as a comfort chair due to my surgery, last May, 2018.  We talked to the management, they wrote up a repair and also send me a yard of the furniture fabric.  We told them that we would be on vacation from the 23rd of July until the 8th of August.  We went on vacation and had a phone call during our vacation towards the end.  Could not be home and did not have a person present to help.  Called when we returned, no answer, went to the store, plus a few phone calls, never heard anything, crossing the toll bridge at least twice, paperwork written again and never

The couch my husband and I received from JR Furniture is nothing like the one we sat on in the showroomUpon bringing the cushions into the store my friend and I both compared the couch I received and the couch shownThe couch I received was comptley differentThe back pillows were filled differently and in a different liningThe bottom cushions were as hard as a rock and the zippers were stuck as the lining has escapedThe back pillows were also larger than the ones listedWe tried to explain to the store manager gary our issue but he wouldn't hear us out or help with a resolutionHe essentially kicked us out of the storeThe next day I called the other owner PaulHe seemed hopeful asked for an email and then never respondedToday I called to follow up and he again was very rude and had no resolutionWe have an entirely different couch than what was ordered and I feel this is a bait and switchAdvertising is and products are not qualityThey told me they are not abl

The manufacturer sent the wrong mechanism for repairWe reordered it and the correct one came inThe technician called to schedule but Mr *** refused any repairsMr *** wanted to return both itemsAfter explaining that this is a manufacturer error Mr *** agreed on having the piece replacedThe claim should be completed this week.Thank you

All refunds that were due to the customer have been processed. We can not and will not refund for the bunk bed. The parts came in but before taking to the customer we decided to check them so no more problems would arise. Upon inspection one of the pieces had damage on it. That piece has been reordered and the customer will be called when that part comes in

My experience with the Jr furniture store in hillsboroIt's been a nightmare I never got my furniture I order and and at the end they brought me a display one and all broken with out telling meSo I didn't took it and I ask for my money back and it's been weeks and still no money backI call the store and they say I was suppose to get a check by mailBut at first they said they will reverse it to my debit card Until now noting is back on my card or anything by mailVery frustrating

I am rejecting this response because: This is the reason, I call it bad customer serviceI, as a customer is been following up with the manager and the business unit whereas I expect it to be at least mutualLet me clear the lies that have been said. I went to the store, the manager showed me more tables which were poor quality and mismatch againI tried to resolve the issue and told the manager that -1) Side tables are not sturdy and I see couple of scratches on the tableHowever please fix them and send themSince I had to wait for such a long time and still not getting what I asked for, please let me know what kind of discount you can offer on these low quality stuff which I did not plan to buy as per the deal.2) Manager was happy that we are heading in a direction to resolve the issue and told me that he would talk to his manager and let me know if they want to offer 0%, 10%, 50% or 100% discount I am still waiting for the call. 3) Regarding the statement that the manager made about placing the order times or times, I do not careIf I am planning to buy oranges and paying for oranges, I need orangesIf someone sends me bananas times, I have no other option to reject the shipment and send the bananas backI hope that makes it easy to understand. Last but not the least, WHY AM I STILL WORKING WITH THE SAME PERSON WHO DOES NOT HAVE THE CAPABILITY TO RESOLVE MY ISSUE FOR THE PAST MONTHSIS THERE ANYONE ELSE AT JR FURNITURE WHO CAN TALK TO ME REGARDING THIS ISSUE

I bought set of beds for my kids and the sales agents told me that everything in front of us was included and I repeated in front of my wife that everything is included she said yes then we finalized and process the financing paper work today when the delivery people came in my called me and told me that the order was missing one item from each order when I called them they denied that it was included

Purchased a sectional sofa in May 'Was sold a warranty that did not cover bonded leathermonths later sofa began to peel and rip at seemsTried getting a hold of Terra, Manager Tacoma, since June by either going in the store, calling, and email Sept she said she forward my email to her bossI emailed Terra times and called between Sept- Nov for a response, and got nothing(Have copies of all emails)Finally called Tukwilla office and got a hod of their managerManager said she "doesn't give her name out, but it was "Sam." She said eventually, Her response to my problem...."What do you expect, your sofa was made in China? We won't honor or fix anything for you." I asked to talk to owner, but she wouldn't give me his nameEventually she said his name was "Paul." I told her I would like "Paul" to call meShe claimed he was out of town and he "wouldn't call me back anyways; he'd have her call me and she doesn't want to talk to me again." weeks later, still nothing

We purchase the couch June 14th of last year, we've had issues with the couch and have emailed the company about our concernsThey have had a technician come and look at the couch and explained that it is for the couch to feel that way, I understand his argument and had him compare the two different couches and obviously there is a difference, sitting on the couch and feeling the wood frame is not normalIf I wanted to feel the wood frame I would have bought a wood couch.His explanation it's and if he had it replaced he would be firedPaying for a couch over $2, just does not make senseI even paid for an extended warrantyI can understand if the couch is a couple of years old, it's not even a year old

Last Wednesday the sofa was brought for delivery, but it turned out to be the wrong oneWhen I called JR Furniture, the salesman who answered called their corporate office and discovered the sofa I ordered was discontinued and would not be comingHe said I could cancel my order and pay a 20%
restocking fee per policyI later talked to the store manager who said the same thingI threatened to contact my credit card company and consult legal help since a restocking fee on a discontinued product makes no senseHe then said he would call corporate and see what they could doI called yesterday for an update and he said I would be receiving a full refund within days

On March 28th I ordered a Stanton sectional and ChairI was told 6-weeks or probably around the 6th of MayAround May 1st, I called to check on the order and was told that the order had not been pushed through because the fabric for the chair(different from the fabric on the couch) had been on back orderNo one called us about this and we were completely in the dark until WE CALLED THEMWe tell them to push the couch through and we will wait longer for the chairThey say around May 18th for the couchWe did not receive the couch until May 28th and only after several callsThen we finally receive the chair on June 11th except without the pillows of the same fabric as the chairWe were not told the pillows were not being delivered when delivery was set up the night beforeI call after the chair is delivered and I'm told the fabric is on back order again and that we were told that the night beforeWe certainly were not told that! Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I canceled the order within hours we ordered at 3:on 4/12/and canceled the next on 4/13/day how could JR Furniture possibly have had the furniture in storage, they are not being truthful!! I cannot beleive we were charged $when their contract states you cannot cancel after the third day it is my understanding it iis law that you have the right to cancel withinn hoursThis is absolutely wrong and unethethical We are totally being ripped off by this furniture store again what is the next step we can take to stop this from happening to anyone else? The above consumer filed claim #*** on 1/4/for possible frame damage to their sectional. Frame breakage is covered under the protection plan they purchased
We dispatched a technician and were advised that there was no frame breakage rather it was a bent spring and spring cage.
This is not covered under the protection plan

They will not return or even exchange furnitures that are on promotionCustomer service lady is not customer friendlyWe needed to exchange/return two of the furnitures because one of them did not match the color with the office tableThe other furniture piece which was worth more than $did not fit our entrance area and now that cabinet impedes our entrance so much that I am forced to go through our garage...They cannot exchange or return because it was on the promotion and that it was a "Free" furnitureThey did not give us a warning about strict return/exchange policy before the purchase
