This service is fast, convenient & very useful. Gave me peace of mind.

Very misleading website. They want your credit card number for a $5 "deposit". Then you get a message that the anwer will cost another $63. Then I found the $63 charge was already pending on my credit card. There was an apology email in my inbox apologising for not providing an answer. Not surprising since this is an American website, and my question was about Canadian law. If I had been foolish enough to log back onto the website it would have cost me $63 I have no doubt. They promised to refund my $63 but not the deposit. I found it by *** "***", I have no idea how I ended up there. I suppose I should be grateful I was only ripped off for 5 dollars.

Justanswer has deceptive billing practices. I signed up for a $5, 7 day trial and received a helpful answer to my question. Unwittingly (perhaps it was in small print intended to deceive), I was billed for $34.00 for a membership in addition to the trial. There was no email invoice sent for billing for the monthly membership. I feel deceived because I didn't know I was being charged $34 per month until reviewing bank statements, rather than the company sending an upfront invoice.

At the end of the trial, the membership bills automatically to avoid disruptions in service. We have opted you out of the membership and as a courtesy, I have processed a refund of your most recent charge.
The funds are made available to your bank the next business day, however, the bank may take 3-5 business days to release the funds back to your account depending on their policy.

There are just so many things that come up where you need advice, recommendations, referrals, and "how-to" stuff, that it is truly is a great relief that JustAnswer is a place to go to get these things from Experts in a huge variety of fields. Examples of what I needed lately are: Dogs, Home Improvement, Laptop, Cell phone, Software, Legal, and Medical problems/information. It is truly well worth having JustAnswer just a Click away. Most Experts quickly reply, other questions propsed, may take more time. Some times, the advice given brings up more questions for the Expert, but you do not have to rate them until you are satisfied with what they have provided. It is very rare, but you can call on another expert for a Second opinion at no charge. I have a set fee charged to my credit card each month for as many questions as I wish to ask. No limit. You can give a Tip to any Expert who really gives great advice regardless of how long you quiz them to show your appreciation.

This is my third problem solved within a day by Just answer. Two Jaguar problems and a farm tractor problem. A real Jag mechanic costs hundreds just to have it reviewed. Not only is just answer easier, it is so much cheaper!

After an interaction with the expert I was charged $64 only to be told my watch has a software bug they cannot fix. If they are unable to help me it seems to me I should not be charged or given a price discount.

This is a misleading website. It appears that an online quote only costs $5.00 but it is really $48.00. I got an answer that my goods were worth $175; The quote is 27% of the value!

I'm sorry for the confusion about the good faith deposit. An initial $5 deposit is required at the time the question is posted and the balance of the question price is collected once an Expert responds to the question.
This information regarding the deposit is displayed on the page where the customer is prompted to submit their payment details and questions are posted only when the customer acknowledges and accepts the payment terms.
An Expert responded to your question which is why you received a charge for the balance due of $43.00.
To put the cost into perspective, a similar appraisal at an appraiser's shop would require packing and carting your tea set to the shop and would cost roughly $100.00. We do hope that you found the service to be of value and we hope to hear back from you in the future.
