I clicked on for their trial offer. I was told if I paid for the trial offer that I could chat, online, with a veterinarian. I submitted my credit card info & my card was charged. It then went to the terms of service screen, then would not let me return to chat screen. I made several attempts to chat regarding this issue. In doing this, I was only offered the same generic message that I had received, initially. No one responded to me regarding the charge on my card. Instead, I was being prompted to click the link for a trial offer. I did click on everything I could find & navigated through the whole system in an attempt to resolve this issue. I was unsuccessful. So, basically, they just stole my money & then became unresponsive to mek

I paid the $1 for 7 day trial for help with auto repair they were some help but not completely. I cancelled the membership in my online account 2 days later, then no longer had access to the account. Then on my credit card statement Just Answer had charged me $39. I called and was told now it was cancelled but they could not refund the $39. The next card bill comes charged another $39, I called again they say again now it is cancelled but no refund, I ask to talk to a supervisor and hold for 20 minutes then am told I will be called in 15 or 20 minutes, 1 hour later I called again same thing. Two more calls and 4 hours later still no supervisor. stay away from this company
Hello ***,
Thanks for letting us know about this. We're sorry for any confusion about the payment for the site.
The membership charge amount and information is presented to all customers on the payment page prior to entering any billing information. After the question is posted and the membership is agreed to, we send a receipt E-mail, as well as a payment reminder E-mail, 3-days prior to any recurring billing.
In checking the account it appears that the membership was turned off as a result of the phone call with our support team, and the last membership charge that was processed was refunded last month.
Please reach out to us if you need any further assistance and we're happy to help in any way we can.
Regards,
JustAnswer Customer Care
Watch out for Trial... Even if you decide you did not want to continue watch out for a $40 monthly "Membership" fee on your next credit card statement. Trial is used to authorize your card for a larger charge, without your permission. Even when they charge the fee you will not be notified. Feels really shady if you ask me.

Last week I used the justanswer*** website for a minor technical issue with my camera. I filled out the form that was basically forced up on me and paid the $5 to which I agreed to. Looked in my account today and was $66 that I had not authorized and would like a refund. I did not see how much of this company is and how their shady tactics are ripping people off.
Hello,

Firstly, I am sorry for any problems you have experienced with our site.
After checking your account, I can see that you signed up for the discounted $5 question with the 7 day free trial membership. As with any membership or subscription trial, if you do not cancel before the end of the trial, you will automatically be charged for your first month to avoid any disruption in service. Additionally, we send out emails welcoming you to the membership and an email is sent before your trial is ending.
Per our terms of service that you agreed to when you enrolled in the membership, the membership payment is not eligible for a refund as stated in section 10, subheading "Refunds, Cancellations, Abuse and Special Programs" as follows;

Although your payment is not eligible for a refund under our terms of service, as a courtesy to you I can see that we have already refunded the membership payment for you. The funds would have been made available to your bank the next business day, however, the bank may take 3-5 business days to release the funds back to your account depending on their policy.
I hope that I have resolved your concerns to your satisfaction. Please let me know if there is anything else I may assist you with and I would be happy to help.

They are advertising that they can prescribe medications for your animals but after an hour wait after you tell them what's wrong and they bill you $5.00 they text you and say (I'm SORRY we can't do that it's against the law) STAY AWAY There Scamer's
Hello ***
Thank you for getting in touch with us about this. We're sorry for any confusion.
We do not advertise that we can write prescriptions for medication. We did message you letting you know that this was not something we would be able to do and we issued a refund for the charge as well on the same day.
If you can provide a screenshot of the messaging that you read that indicated that a prescription would be written we would be happy to review the language but as of this date we've received no reply from you with any evidence of this language.
Please reach out to us and let us know if you need any further assistance.

I also was misled into signing up for a membership. I saw that Just Answer offered $1 for a question to be answered by a professional. I did get that question answered, but only expected to pay for that one question. On the site right now, there’s no fine print that says a membership will cost $46, not even at the bottom of the page, and I think that is false advertising. I was definitely misled, and it looks like others have been, too. I requested a refund but was denied, so I told the phone representative that I would write a review on here. I would really like to get a refund for this incident. If Just Answer makes it clear on their website that a membership costs $46, even in very tiny print on the bottom of their webpage as some companies do, I bet they will get less complaints.

Still nothing for Because.com.I want to get out of the membership and they keep trying to sell me a different product. I cancelled the membership three days after I received the product due to poor quality, this was back in July. Three months later I get a charge to my account for 68.03 for a product I did not order, plus makes my account overdrawn 35.00 overdraft charge. The only way I can stop this, is to put a stop payment on the company which will cost me another 25.00, or close my debit card account completely
Hi there ***,
Thanks for letting us know about this. We would definitely like to look into this for you some more.
The account tied to this E-mail address has not been used in more than 6 months and has never had a membership charge on it, it also does not have a charge in the amount that you mentioned on it ($68.03). We have also checked our contact records, and we have received no contact from you since you posted your initial question.
It seems like your concern might be related to another company, but we would like to verify this. We've reached out to you privately to gather some more information about the charge/s you're seeing.
We look forward to hearing from you.

I signed up for just answer as a one time thing for $5 to get what I thought would be a one on one on line medical dr appointment type of chat. It ended up being a forum type of page where I had to post a question for everyone to see (which was very personal ) and wait for his answer. Not only that his answer was extremely vague, fine. I didn’t mind paying the $5 to learn my lesson. So I cancelled it right after to make sure I wouldn’t get charged anything after and I was looking at my bank statements and I just got charged $46. When I e mail them and tell them what happened they say I’m ineligible for a refund but to use our membership to my advantage and ask anything, I again wrote another e mail stating that I don’t want a membership especially one where I was misled and again says ineligible. I write one last time and he writes back not even saying anything about the refund just saying that he documented that he made sure it’s canceled . Horrible customer service . I read a lot of reviews just before and hundreds of them are literally the same thing I’m going through. I don’t know how they’re still in business.

Looking online for some info when my email stopped working, this box popped up and asked if I needed help. I thought it was a customer service rep thru my ISP and checked yes. I was in too much of a hurry and didn't read everything in the small print because I'd been without email for awhile at that point.Big mistake. As the rep rudely reminded me when I called to make sure the $1 Trial Membership was cancelled AFTER I found they had billed my business debit card $46, it was supposedly written in plainly on the website. NOT! This is a scam! Full details and disclosure are not really clear and I bet most people end up losing a few hundred bucks before they figure it out...

They roped me into a $1.00 Credit card payment for a trial membership. I was unsatisfied with the service so I tried to cancel the membership following their guidelines and was unable repeatedly to do so. I keep getting a response when I hit the cancel membership button on their website that says: "Pearl has left the room. A Customer Care agent will be with you shortly." This has been going on for hours.

Yesterday I asked a question regarding a car I'm repairing. I never got a response from Just Answer. I was billed in the amount of $34.00 for a membership, Which I did not knowingly ask for. I have used their service on a fee for service basis and have gotten help on numerous questions in the past. I don't know what's going on with the company but something's gone wrong! They are now using misleading tactics to trick people out of their hard earned money. Buyer beware!

Fantastic-immediately available with response and made sure I was comfortable with diagnosis so I didn’t worry. Saved me a trip too Vet ER!
After days struggling on my own I bit the bullet and used your service to sort out my computer problem, I wish I had done it sooner. The young man couldn't have been more patient and helpful. I highly recommend this service and was so delighted with the outcome. I thought I had lost the records of over 20 years worth of artworks. Thank you, thank you thank you. I was advised that the cost would be only $59 which I was happy to accept. I was also happy to add a bonus for the young man and as per the advert hereby cancel any further charges to my account. I have taken a copy of this correspondence for future reference.
So grateful for the quick and caring response. While on vacation my dog ate my medication and it could have been a disaster. Thankfully we were able to get it out and she was running carefree an hour later.
This was my first experience with JustAnswer and I was very pleased. The response time on both the chat and personal phone call was excellent. The information shared answered my questions and resolved some important issues for me. I will not hesitate to recommend JustAnswer to friends.
Wow! *** was wonderful! I run a non-profit cat rescue shelter and though I’m pretty good at determining health issues and treatment, I needed some help to make sure I was treating one of our kitty’s in the appropriate manner. He was very patient and very thorough with his questions and quickly determined what the problem was and the best way to treat the kitty. He gave me the assurance I needed to properly treat this particular kitty. I will definitely be contacting him again!! Thanks again
Very quick to respond! Went through what needed tone with ease to understand!
Just Answer for me has been valuable in a world where I need instant answers. Using JustAnswer saves me a great deal of time. However they had a problem with their website in which the question request created a needless and confusing redundancy. In my experience their support staff was not properly trained on how to respond to the customer. Instead listening to the customer, in this case myself, they kept interrupting me while I was explaining the problem. They were parroting a set of instructions while I was explaining to them that these instructions were defective in the first place. After about 30 minutes the support member finally "got it" and understood what the problem was. What should of happened is the customer support should have made note of the question, and if not able to answer then refer to someone who could and return the call. But they didn't. This was extremely frustrating.
When I was able to bridge this redundancy I was able to get my question answered. In my 6 attempts at getting an answer all were promptly answered and were for the most part right on target. This is where I give JustAnswer high marks because this is what counted.
Just answer was easy to use. The main thing is this orocess fixed the problem. I was then able to install the software.
