I asked a question on the site and they took out $5.00 to pay the person. At the time, it said that I was being signed up for a trial membership. My last correspondence with the person who answered my question was on May 27. The morning of May 31 I cancelled the trial membership, but upon going on my bank account website, I saw that they had already taken $29 out of my account.
Hello,
My name is Chase and I am with the customer care team at JustAnswer. I received a copy of your complaint filed through the Revdex.com and I’d like to help with your concerns.
Firstly, I am sorry for any problems you have experienced with our site.
After checking your account, I can see that you signed up for the $5 question with the 7 day free trial membership. You asked your question on the 24th of May and your membership became active on the 31. As with any membership or subscription trial, if you do not cancel before the end of the trial, you will automatically be charged for your first month to avoid any disruption in service. Additionally, we send out emails welcoming you to the membership and an email is sent before your trial is ending.
Per our terms of service that you agreed to when you enrolled in the membership, the membership payment is not eligible for a refund as stated in section 10, subheading "Refunds, Cancellations, Abuse and Special Programs" as follows;
***
Although your payment is not eligible for a refund under our terms of service, as a courtesy to you we have refunded the membership payment for you. The funds are made available to your bank the next business day, however, the bank may take 3-5 business days to release the funds back to your account depending on their policy.
I hope that I have resolved your concerns to your satisfaction. Please let me know if there is anything else I may assist you with and I would be happy to help.
Best regards,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. They still need to make clear to customers WHEN the trial starts - upon receipt of the response, or upon the date that the customer responds and accepts the answer. This would save lots of confusion.
Sincerely
On the 21st of May I used JustAnswer to answer a question about services, I paid the 5 dollar trail membership fee but did not see any notification of any other fees. On the 28th of May I was going over bank records and found a charge of $46.80 going to JustAnswer. I called the Customer Service Line to find out what this charge was for and was told that at the end of 7 days if I have not cancelled my trial membership they charge a monthly membership fee. I do not remember seeing this notification on the trail membership form and told Abigail (the CSR) that I did not want nor did I authorize the charge, she then contacted her supervisor and canceled my membership but said that she couldn't do anything about the charge as it was past the 7 day cancellation date. I then asked to speak to her supervisor and was put on hold for 5 minutes, when she came back on she apologized for the wait and said if I gave her my information her supervisor would call me back in 15 minutes. After 15 minutes the supervisor named Jeff sent me an email saying that he had canceled my membership but nothing about the reversed charge, I emailed the reply, NOT GOOD ENOUGH, and called the Customer Service number again and again got CSR Abigail, who said her supervisor was busy on another call and would call me back in 5 min.

They are charging me for a membership I did not request. I agreed for a one time assistance to chat with a Technician for assistance for a one time fee of $26.00. I was charged the following:
05/20/2019...Just Answer Trial on 05/18........$1.00
05/22/2019...Purchase just answer phone call on 05/21.....$26.00
05/29/2019...Purchase just answer Membership on 05/28..$46.00
I did not request membership, why should I?, the Technician resolved the issue to my satisfaction. I have tried to contact Just Answer Numerous times to no avail, I am just put on hold for 30 minutes or more, I have also sent an email to their website email address informing them to cancel this membership since I did not authorized them to no avail.

People do not use this company. It's all about money and none of customer service. I asked one question which cost me $5. After finding that the information they gave me I already knew and they could offer nothing more. They charged me an additional $46 dollars and I immediately called them to tell them I did not want their service. Didn't offer a partial refund or anything. A good company will not charge $51 dollars for one question they couldn't even answer. Cancel your card if you used this company they will charge it anyway! Now I have to fight fraud charges.

I was having issues with my Cadillac SRX. I posted a question with Justanswer*** on May 26 hoping to get a quick response. I paid a $5 fee for the question. No one got back to me until late May 27 after I had resolved the issue. I did not agree to pay the fee because the issue was resolved. My credit card was charged $26 anyways.

Asked a Question about a Auto related issue , they replied with need $5 dollar charge and I paid it , told them I did not want a Membership . They gave me a B
t answer like , that's a hard Fix . Then next day took $34 dollars from my Account! and said I now had a Membership. Called them the next day and was told the $34 dollars was non refundable!! They are based in the Philippines and are a Total Fraud Company . Do not do Business with them they are Thieves and out of reach of USA Laws !
Asked a question. Told an "expert" will answer usually in "less than 10 minutes". Gave me an "estimated time" for my answer of 8 minutes repeatedly. Then....poof....the ETA goes away and the NEXT DAY I get my expert, (still would like to know if my "expert" is a lawyer licensed to practice in any state), who asks me a question and then before I get the "under 10 minute answer" I get told REPEATEDLY that we should talk for $59 more dollars than what I have already paid for......
The video presentation by the founder of the firm is nice, but he should pose as a mystery shopper and see how commercial and crass this site has become. The answer was plain vanilla pass off bull ***. Two stars given because the initial screener of my question seemed real and, as of now, unjaded by the *** of this site.
Hello ***,
Thank you for letting us know about this. We're sorry for any frustration the navigation caused and we'll try to clear that up here.
The $59.00 pop-up offer is actually for a phone call, the phone call is an additional service that we offer to customers that prefer it, but it is by no means obligatory. You can always close the phone call offer and continue talking in the Q&A conversation string on the page.
The initial screener that gathers your information is actually an AI *** named ***, she gathers some basic information that allows the Expert that responds to your question to offer a little more context from the start.
If you have any questions about the Expert that responded to you, you can actually ask the Expert and they can tell you anything that they feel comfortable communicating to you.
If you've got any questions about how the site works, or your account, we're happy to help. Please reach out to us from the help page at: *** Regards,

The Idea that Revdex.com gives this outfit like this an A+ rating is preposterous!
It's obvious from the comments below that many others have been tricked the same way.
I have no proof that they don't give good answers to some people, but the primary business model seems aimed at tricking people into a "membership" that is difficult to get out of. Their statement that they send a payment reminder E-mail 3-days prior to each billing is a total lie. The gobble-de-gook in their responses illustrates their deception because it bears no discernable relationship to how they represent their operation initially on their web-site. At the very least, they should be required to be open & honest from the beginning, so that people can make an informed decision whether they want to get entangled in their web.
I was billed for a question that wasn’t answered.

Every timethat I have used "Just Answer" I have been very satisfied.
*However, if you are using a MacBook/ios platform your conversation gets mudied and you may need to put in some extra effort to "connect", but this issue is probably a one-off and unique to me.
All in all I have used this site about 12 times and the feedback from the Experts has been excellent. You save yourself a lot of front end work, time and money.
Give Just Answer at least one try with your question.
The answer I received regarding an issue with my truck was quick, easy and accurate. I did what was suggested, and my issue was resolved. Very pleased.
I had a difficult time loading software for my printer. Within minutes my advisor had accessed my computer remotely and solved the problem in downloading the right drivers for my printer! I was up and running In a half hour! Thanks so much for getting the job done!

I just noticed today that I've been charged $46 a month from JustAnswer since November. I don't remember contacting them in the first place and never would have agreed to a membership. When I called to cancel they said they don't offer refunds and that I should have received an e-mail confirming my membership. I've asked them to refund the $322 I've paid in monthly installments on my credit card. If not, I will be filing a complaint with the California Attorney Generals Office in the elderly abuse category.
never used this service as I fix my TV issues myself but had to change credit card number to stop overly charged subscription monthlys. Its a scam in my opinion.
Hi there ***,
We're sorry to hear that you came away with this feeling.
It appears that when you came to the site that you had opted into the membership when the offer came up. We can also confirm that the Customer Care agent that you spoke with earlier today was able to get the membership turned off for the account and you will see no further billing.
Please reach out to us again if you need any further assistance.

The business took money out of my account 3 times while I was asking a question. It was to be $ 5.00 but they took $59.28, then $59.28 then $73.00, all on the same day. (9 May). Then $88.00 on 24 May.
I believe I didn’t join up to there service but they are taking money out of my account anyway.
I went to there site to cancel the membership even tho I had no idea that I had signed up to there services.
Hello,
My name is Chase and I am with the customer care team at JustAnswer. I received a copy of your complaint filed through the Revdex.com and I’d like to help with your concerns.
Firstly, I am sorry for any confusion you have experienced with our site.
After checking your account, I can see that you initially posted a question, the cost of which was NZ$73 not NZ$5 as you did not accept the initial offer, in fact you accepted the membership after your question was posted. You posted your question three times (you were not charged for the second two since you had accepted the trial). On two of the questions, you accepted the offer for the Premium Service (hence the two charges for NZ$59.28). Each of these things were explained clearly and the customer has to click ok to accept them.
Regarding the membership, only the customer can enroll in one of our membership plans, it's never done automatically by the site. There are a few places the customer has to click in order to enroll in a membership plan and the Offer Details page explains the payment terms and that you're authorizing JustAnswer to automatically charge a subscription fee for each month of enrollment. Also provided are instructions on how to cancel. Additionally, we send emails that outline all of the benefits of the membership plan, as well as an email before the trial ends and you are charged.
After checking your account, it looks like you accepted a free trial offer to try our membership program. At the end of the trial, the membership bills automatically to avoid disruptions in service.
I have closed your account, opted you out of the membership and issued a refund of the charges. The funds are made available to your bank the next business day, however, the bank may take 3-5 business days to release the funds back to your account depending on their policy.
I hope that I have resolved your concerns to your satisfaction. Please let me know if there is anything else I may assist you with and I would be happy to help.

In April, I came across the Just website, I asked one question at what I thought was $5.00 which I thought was fair. Today I noticed a $46.00 autopay on my bank account and called them directly . They told me I had joined their organization, and that was my monthly fee. After researching my bank statements I find that in April they charged my account $46.00 as well. So in effect, I have been charged $97.00 for one medical question. This seems outrageous and the website seems deceptive at the least. The representative I spoke to claims that they have a excellent rating with Revdex.com and that it is clearly on the site that I was becoming a member.
