I had a matter of the heart an family was to close to get an unbiased opinion so I turned to Just Answer to get their input. They were a great source of information that was unbiased and sensible and allowed me to make the right decision BEFORE I acted an made a rash decisive mistake. Now I have time to really consider my options and make the right decision. Thanks team!!!!
I went to the website to ask a question and it allows a free question, but you have to give your credit card information for a free trial that will roll over into a membership after the trial, but you can cancel at any time. It says they will email you prior to initiating the membership just like they stated below in response to the other person's complaint: "a billing reminder E-mail to each customer 3-days prior to the membership billing with instructions on how to administer their membership." I never received any emails. I found the charge on my credit card when I was checking my bank account online. It was three days after the charge posted. I contacted JustAnswer and they said they can cancel my membership but could not issue a refund. I find this ridiculous. Their policy says you can cancel at any time which would mean you should not be charged for services you do not receive. They also say they will send an email which never happened. I would not recommend anyone get caught up with this company. It is dishonest practices. Other reputable companies do send an email letting you know if a trial is ending and you will be incurring a charge...
Hello ***
Thank you for getting in touch with us about this. We're sorry for any misunderstanding of how the service works.
We do track all sent E-mails and we can see that most of the E-mails that we've sent you, including the payment reminder E-mail sent on 5/11/2019 were opened.
We can also confirm that the Customer Care agent that you spoke with on 5/21/2019 did process a refund for the recent membership payment. You should see the funds back in the next few days.
Please reach out to us if you need any further assistance or if you have any other questions about your account or the site.
Regards,
JustAnswer Customer Care
I received a response from Justanswer saying they sent me an email on 5/11 that was opened by me. I have done a search of all my email folders including spam and trash and do not find any such email. I have requested they forward me that email. They did issue a refund, so I am satisfied with that, but if they sent me an email that I opened that there is record of then I would like to see it so I can modify my review. I am not aware of one.
When you sign up for a trial, it says on the screen "Don't worry, we will notify you before we charge you for the full membership after your trial expires" Guess what, they don't. Then they charge your card and when you call to complain, they tell you it is non-refundable. Total scam
Hello,
My name is Chase and I am with the customer care team at JustAnswer. I received a copy of your complaint filed through the Revdex.com and I’d like to help with your concerns.
Firstly, I am sorry for any problems you have experienced with our site.
After checking your account, I can see that you signed up for the $5 question with the 7 day free trial membership. As with any membership or subscription trial, if you do not cancel before the end of the trial, you will automatically be charged for your first month to avoid any disruption in service. Additionally, we send out emails welcoming you to the membership and an email is sent before your trial is ending.
Per our terms of service that you agreed to when you enrolled in the membership, the membership payment is not eligible for a refund as stated in section 10, subheading "Refunds, Cancellations, Abuse and Special Programs" as follows;
***
Although your payment is not eligible for a refund under our terms of service, as a courtesy to you we have refunded the membership payment for you. The funds are made available to your bank the next business day, however, the bank may take 3-5 business days to release the funds back to your account depending on their policy.
I hope that I have resolved your concerns to your satisfaction. Please let me know if there is anything else I may assist you with and I would be happy to help.
Best regards,
Ms. Chase

The answer to my legal copyright question was clear and quick. I was disappointed however because I understood from the ad that it was a one-time trial for $5.00. However, my credit card was immediately charged $5 plus $50. To me this is misleading and fraudulent.
Doctor was spot on. I knew exactly what I needed to do. The only problem now is getting into a doctor’s office before August! If only the doctors practicing out here were as king and knowledgeable as on here.
Quick and easy.
I bought 4 rescue parakeets of deploreable conditions, I did all I could it they recovered very well, tho' not fully tame yet, plus my other 4 birds. They are paired into male & female couples. Then one rescue male. had lethargia and other sick symtoms.I received from the Just Answer Vet very prompt response through excellent above and beyond bird Parakeet Expertise Health and future plus probable issue diagnoisis ,that turned out to be exactly right and I did all he said so focused, specific, and did'nt seem to mind at all to be so detailed. He really does honestly care!! Just Answer is Excellent! I 'm referring ALL my friends & Family already!!
Gave me a quick insight to what *** was experiencing. Very cheap, $5, to talk to a professional. Where do you get that? *** was thorough and explained everything to me in a clear, consise way.
I loved the response time! Quick to answer. Saved me time and money! I was able to get my answer without having to pay large fees to a lawyer. I would totally recommend this service!
My 3 dogs got into a entire bottle of Deramaxx that was just prescribed to my DoxiePin. Not sure who ate what, they helped me with inducing vomiting and determining who ate the pills. They then directed me to the U of I - Champaign Animal Poison Control Hotline for follow up since I had to induce them with Hydrogen Peroxide and the potential toxicity from the drug. My Chihuahua was still not doing well from the event and I had to take her in to see her vet this morning. Brought all 3 in just for doctor to see they are doing alright and acting normal. Thank you for all of your continued phone calls to see how I was doing with things on a Sunday! They are my babies and I didn’t have anyone around to be able to help me. Would recommend their help to anyone in need. Very patient, informed and friendly!
Deferred replacement of ***
I have an old ***, which had given great service but is quite long in the tooth. Latest was repairing a flat tire resulted in the drive not working. I provided the simple facts. I removed and replace a rear wheel, now the drive does not work. Even the break is inoperative.
After a brief period, the tech come back explaining I had misplaced a very small key that lock the system together. He provided a clear simple description of the part - which I could not find even with a high power magnet. BUT was simple to replace at the parts store. Good instructions got it back together and operating in 10 minutes.
Very quick to get a price for some antique and not some not as olde fire arms.
was quick to diagnose the issue.
In terms of auto repair advise, surprisingly prompt Q&A w/ on-call techs. Only time will tell how broad their ‘how to’ automotive resources are, but, so far, they’ve been fairly helpful. I did NOT OPT to communicate w/ the technician by phone...too pricey. No hesitation in using ‘JustAnswer’ again, though.
After spending some time on Google searching for an answer to my problem, I decided to try JustAnswer for my boat maintenance. Not only did I get a timely answer to my question, but I got answers to follow up questions including links to products and what to look for. It was worth the nominal fee to make sure I did everything correctly and to save my all the time trying to search for the answer myself.
The tech was helpful and while he didn't diagnose my problem he helped
me open my train of thought and get my mind around the problem. I understand how hard it must be to help with a problem without being able to look and touch.
This is a great service. Very prompt. Very professional. Yes I would recommend.
I tried it tonight, by asking a question for $5. Told me it'd be about an 8 minute wait. After 45 min. I called and cancelled my Trial Membership. The woman said I'd be refunded the $5, and my Trial Membership would be cancelled. I did get an email confirming the cancellation. However, the $5 still hasn't been refunded. They had no problem charging my card immediately when I started. But it's been over 2 hours, and my card still doesn't show the $5 refund. I might need to chalk it up to getting scammed. Live and learn.
Hi ***
Thanks for letting us know about this. We're sorry for the confusion.
We can confirm from looking at your account that the $5.00 deposit has indeed been refunded.
The charge had not yet fully processed and was still just a pending authorization. These can take anywhere from 1-3 days to resolve and fall off of your account.
There is nothing that we as a business can do to affect how quickly this is resolved with your bank as these timelines are set by the bank and the payment processor, and not the merchant.
If you need any further help with your account, please don't hesitate to reach back out to us and we're happy to do all we can to assist.
Regards,
JustAnswer Customer Care.
THIS WAS SUCH A SCAM...NEVER ANSWERED MY QUESTION JUST KEEP ASKING FOR MORE MONEY...
Hello Thomas,
Thanks for reaching out to us about this. We're sorry for any frustration.
We can see that you did post a question about your boat and did receive a response from a marine mechanic but it doesn't look like you ever responded back to the troubleshooting questions that he sent to you.
The charges that you're speaking of might be tied to the phone call offer but we can assure you that the phone call offer is 100% optional and you can keep responding to the mechanic in the Q&A thread for no extra charge if you would like.
We look forward to hearing back from you if you need any further assistance.

I looked at my visa acct. this am., and found a charge first for a deposit on the 13th of May for 5$ for the Just Answer rip-off place. They took besides the 5$ charge on the 13th, another 42$ for devices.
When I called to ask who they are, I couldn't get a proper answer. They said this took place back in 2013? Or 2011? NO! Firstly, I'd've paid that already years ago, and why would they charge me a deposit? It clearly states the date was 5/13/2019.
That's a far cry from 2012? I've recently been hacked, and now will have to get a new card.
I am terminally ill, only way to Mayo, and can't deal with this right now.
I just want things straightened out, and my money back.
Please, please help me against these vicious hackers. They couldn't find my account they said! What's going on? I don't think it's on the up&cup.
Thank-you. Please go git em!
