K-Designers Reviews (290)

Suppose to come and give estimate did not show up on time. Did not bring what was needed for the estimate. Do not want todo business with them.

K-Designers were professional and courteous. I enjoyed the overall experience and the knowledge they brought to me when reviewing their services. My windows look great and were installed in one day! Love them!

Review: These windows leak air around them worse than the old window did. When the wind is blowing at 45 miles per hour or higher, they whistle louder then a train with sqrueelling brakes. We (my son Jerry) and I have complained a number times to the local office in Omaha, Nebraska. They say they will be out, but they never show up or keep their promise of checking and fixing the problem. We feel they are taking us for a ride and trully care less now that they have been paid. We have been scammed by K-Designers and I believe more people should be made aware of their foney customer service.Desired Settlement: Fix the leaky air around the windows or refund me 1/2 the cost of the windows and installation cost.

Our installers went to the [redacted] home on Monday, March 17. We discovered that 3 windows were not closed all the way, and gave instruction on how to close them to the customers satisfaction. We let the homeowner know that we would follow up with them in 10-days to see if everything is working properly.

Review: This company won't stopping making unsolicited sales calls. Even though my elderly mother (with dementia) is on the Do Not Call registry, they continue calling her. I notified the company and told them we were not interested in their products and did not want any more calls from them. The salesperson apologized and said they would put her on their DNC list. Several days later a salesman showed up at her door. I angrily insisted that we were not interested and did not want any more contact from them. Since then the calls have continued on a daily basis. This kind of behavior is unscrupulous. They prey upon the most vulnerable members of our society. What they're doing is not only illegal it's immoral.Desired Settlement: I want this company to stop calling my elderly mother. I would also like an apology from them for their disrespect, and the irritation and aggravation they have caused.

Response:

On June 17, our Scheduling manager in our Call Center replied to Ms. [redacted] via email to let her know that after investigating the phone number that she indicated she was receiving calls on was put on our internal Do Not Call List on August 30, 2012. The manager apologized to Ms. [redacted] on behalf of the company. She placed the same phone number to our Do Not Call list once again, and said that if she had any other numbers that she would like on this list, to let us know.

On June 18, Ms. [redacted] responded to the email to thank our manager for making sure the number was on the Do Not Call list. She had another number that was a concern (her elderly mother) and asked that the number also be added to the list.

We added the number to the list indicating that it generally takes about 48 hours to drop off our calling lists, however, we will make every effort to ensure her that her mothers number is not called again. We again apologized to Ms. [redacted] for any inconvenience this has caused.

Response:

I appreciate the efforts of the Revdex.com in supporting honest, fair business practices and guarding against the unscrupulous ones. Last year I filed a complaint with your office against K Designers of California because of their repeated, unwanted sales calls to my elderly mother in Utah. In June of 2014, their corporate office did offer an apology and agreed to remove both my phone number and hers from their call list. That sales complaint and resolution are found on your website dated 6/26/2014. Irritatingly enough, the company has started calling my mother again. She received a phone call May 12, 2015 at 11:45 a.m. from a K Designers telemarketer who scheduled a sales appointment with her for the following afternoon. When I saw the number on her caller ID, I quickly called them, cancelled the appointment and firmly told them we were not interested in their products, did not want any further contact, and that my mother's phone number was on their "Do Not Call" list. I also mentioned that I had filed a Revdex.com complaint against the company. The woman apologized and agreed to cancel the appointment and take mother's name off their list. This seems to be an exact repeat of last year. They say they'll take you off their list, but they continue calling. Does this seem like a fair, honest business practice? Would anyone really be interested in their product/service through harassment? My mother has dementia and needs protection from these kinds of unscrupulous "wolves". Is there anything I can do about this company?I would appreciate any input you might have.Sincerely,[redacted]Richmond, Utah

Response:

We have no interest in contacting consumers who are on the “Do Not Call List” database. Unless [redacted] and her mother identify with all numbers listed for example (work#; cell#: home#) we can only ensure to not call the exact numbers that are in our internal system that is identified as a “Do Not Call”. We will contact [redacted] to have her and her mother forward us all numbers that should be listed on the “Do Not Call List” to ensure that they will not be contacted any further. As soon as we receive all numbers listed we will input it into our internal system immediately. We will update you with the status by the end of this week

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:I'm disappointed with the lack of response and total disregard by K-Designers. They said they would contact me to ensure that my mother's phone number was on their "Do Not Call" list and that she would not be called again. So far, they have not made that effort. In their written response to my complaint, the company said they "have no interest in contacting consumers who are on their 'Do Not Call List' database." After filing last year's complaint, I gave them mother's home phone number and they insisted it would be added to their DNC list. So why was she called again this year at the same home phone number that was supposedly on that list? I even contacted the company by email and was told the number would be added, yet they continued to call. In researching the company online, I found that K-Designers is known for this kind of unscrupulous, illegal activity. This is their common telemarketing behavior. Sadly, too many underhanded businesses are getting away with it because there aren't enough government resources to stop them. It only makes it harder for honest companies to make a fair living. And it continues to leave our society's most vulnerable members - the elderly - easy targets for these ss.

Response:

We sent this email to the email address listed by [redacted]?Dear [redacted], Since our message was sent to the Revdex.com on May 19th we have done the research to find out why your mother was accidentally contacted again. When we put her on our K-Designers internal "Do Not Call List" as we promised you last year. We just found a glitch in our system so we applolgize that we didnt find this and solve it before now. When we put together a small list to recontact our employee that put together this small list by hand did not compare the list to our internal "Do Not Call List". Had this new employee done their job correctly they would have discovered your mother was actually on our "Do Not Call List" and that is why she hasnt come up on our automated dialing system since you asked us to put her on our "Do Not Call List". If this employee had run the small hand dial list in comparison to our "Do Not Call List" they would have discovered that your mother should not be called. I am very sorry for this to have happened, however it has helped us by going to our IT Department requesting that they write new software so this cannot happen again. The software was completed last Friday May 22nd so this should not happen anymore in the future. Even if an employee creates a small hand dial list the new software will prevent the list from compiling any phone numbers on our internal "Do Not Call List". Please accept my apology for this inconveniece. This should not happen again in the future. I do hope you understand that it was not our desire to contact your mother again, it was an employee error that caused it to happen. Even though your mother invited us out to see her on an appointment, we really have always intended to honor your desire to not contact her again. I am sending your mother a $200.00 [redacted] gift card to use as she wishes. If you have any questions or need to contact me in the future, my direct line is [redacted]. Review: I feel I have been scammed by K-Designers. I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income. My home was in disrepair and needed new siding and windows.K-Designers was able to get two contracts that I could afford to cover all the windows and half of the siding on the house. Two weeks after all the decisions were made and the contracts signed another man from K-Designers came to my house unexpectedly and said they'd found extra materials and could put siding on my detached garage. It really didn't need to be done but since they had extra materials I agreed to let them do it. When the man finished measuring he had me sign a paper. He did not explain that it was a third contract and the cost of the garage would be $7500.00 at an interest rate of 19.99%. He seemed to be in a hurry. I found out what that paper was for when the payments came due. I was shocked to learn what had happened. I cannot afford this payment (which is $120.00 for the first six months and then $160.00 when the interest rate kicks in) and will lose my house because of it. It forces me to file bancruptcy and walk away from my home. They knew I could not afford more yet they duped me. On saturday February 14th I received a letter from GreenSky financial demanding that I bring this account current in the next seven days.

K-Designers needs to refund the money and cancel this debt like they said they would when we discussed it in person January 27th,2015 at their office. I was told it would take 2 to 4 weeks to get it done but they assured me it would be handled and I didn't have to lose any more sleep over it. But apparently they lied.

Review: I contacted K-Designers on 12/30/2014. I received a return call from [redacted] in their customer service department on 1/5/15. I let him know that some doors that they installed back in July were leaking and that I would like to have someone contact me to schedule a time to look at the doors. Advised that I had photo's showing the leak and sent him photo's. As of today 1/26/15 I have not heard from anyone at K-Designers to schedule a time to look at the doors. In addition to this I asked for warranty information and paperwork on some windows that they installed in 2012. As of 1/26/15 I have not received any paperwork. There are a couple of windows that are drafty and let cold air into my home and they need to be looked.Desired Settlement: Inspect the doors, and windows and have a discussion about the best course of action (repair or replace). Without an inspection it is difficult to determine if this would fall under the workmanship or materials warranty.

Business

Response:

We went out to the customer's house on January 28th to inspect the issues with the French Doors. The customer lives in a very high wind area surrounded by open fields, which is the problem. We have some weather stipping on order and once it comes in we will put it on the doors and see how it pans out. We will keep you updated once the weather stripping is put on the doors.

All I can say is WOW! Everything they say they have delivered to me. It was an absolute pleasure starting with the sales people all the way to the completion of the job! I've had other companies in the past do work for me and rarely do they ever deliver. I would highly recommend this company to anyone that wants work done on their home!!! Thank you K-designers

Review: Purchased horrible looking, misrepresented, hard to open windows and gutters that do not work. Have not been able to get them fixed.

I paid approx $7,000 for windows and gutters 3 yrs ago.

False advertising: Their salesman said they could custom build my windows to look like picture I submitted to them. He was excited and said he could use my custom windows in their ads! None of what he said was true. Of course, I never saw this marketing rep again!

Customization: This company had no idea how to make the windows I wanted. I gave the salesman a picture and oh, yeah, we can do those. Well, my windows look nothing like the picture at all. Very sloppy, very unprofessional glued together, pencil molding [redacted]! My picture was a molded grid attached to the window on the outside that could be removed to clean.

Price: I paid much more because the windows I wanted were "custom" windows. I would have been better off buying stock windows.

Cleaning and maintenance: The windows I received are nearly impossible to open and clean without going off tract and scratching the window sills. Consequently, they have to sit there dirty and horrible looking.

Installation: their window installers seriously damaged siding on my house and window sills. I had to hire a carpenter to repair.

Gutters - were not installed properly. When it rains, they overflow and water puddles around the house foundation. I have to catch the water in very large buckets and empty in other parts of the yard nearly every time it rains.

Fist the Company said leaves were the problem. I had gutters cleaned out but they still overflowed. Company has told me many, many times that they were going to fix. Twice they sent gutter men out to look at the gutters. Nothing has yet been fixed. I called another company to diagnose the problems and was told the gutters needed "diverters" and slope adjustment. I will most likely end up having to pay this company to do the work and go to court with them which is a huge investment of time that I do not have.

Rebates: I was eligible for a $500 utility rebate on the windows but I needed an invoice to submit to PSE. I asked 4 times for this invoice over an extended period of time. I finally received the invoice from them - AFTER it was too late for the rebate.

This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. They are absolutely shameful. Take my advice and go buy your gutters and windows from another company that actually cares about providing a good product and customer service. Desired Settlement: I want gutters fixed before it rains again (I'm very tired of carrying buckets of water away from house foundation) so they work or I want my money back or I want them to pay for someone else to fix them.

Either remove these awful windows and refund all of the money so I can go to another company to buy windows that (a) I can actually clean (b) that look like the picture I submitted to them (with outside grids). Or, I want them to rebuild with outside grids (as per picture I originally submitted to them) and can easily clean. Also, it was their fault I did missed the PSE rebate, so I want to be reimbursed $500 for that too.

Our Branch Manager called and left Ms. [redacted] a voice message on August 15. In the meantime, a service representive from K-Designers was to be at her house today, August 17 to repair the diverter on the gutters. Our Branch Manager will try to contact her again today, to address any other issues she has. We will report back to Revdex.com the outcome.

Thank you.

Review: Harassing and repeated phone calls including late night calls. These calls are unsolicited and unwanted.

After repeatedly requesting that K-Designers take me off of their call list I still receive unsolicited phone calls. I did not request that they call me and in fact the name that they asked when they called the first two times is not even the name of a resident at this address. I informed them of this and asked that they not call here again. Since that time I now get phone calls at least once a day with no one answering on the other end when I pick up the phone to ask them to please stop. On 5/7/2013 at approximately 6:00 pm I re-dialed the number which called me and left a message for them to please stop calling otherwise I would file a complaint of harassment with the Revdex.com. At approximately 9:00 pm on 5/7/2013 (the same day) I received another phone call where no person answered when I picked up the phone and said "hello". All that I ask is for the company and/or their promotional department to stop harassing me. Their website says that they are a Revdex.com Accredited Business since 02/02/1998. Desired Settlement: Stop to their harassing and continued phone calls. A letter of apology from the company.

We have placed you on our do not call list. We are sorry for any inconvenience you feel that you have experienced.

Review: I am very disappointed with the actual product and the service that I am receiving from KDesigners. I enlisted the services of KDesigners to install windows, rain gutters and garage doors. Right after they installed the garage doors, I noticed that the double garage door was not installed properly. I called them and asked them to come back out and repair the improperly installed door. One of the original workers eventually arrived at my home to look at the door and he acted like it was not a problem, but that he would send someone else out to look at the door. No one else ever arrived, and I unfortunately got busy in my own life. I called again in regard to the garage door and in regard to a problem with the sliding screen door. It was always difficult to connect with the company and to arrange for service.Last night, I pushed the button to to close the double garage door, and the top of the door, that had never been properly installed began to fold in half from the 2 points on either side that had never been adhered to the top plate. My son disconnected the garage door opener, and had to manually force the garage door closed, so that we could have home security. It is now being held with bungee cords, in the hopes that no one will be able to break into our home. At this time we are not able to open and close our garage door, so my son is not able to drive his vehicle. I spoke to a '[redacted]' this morning from the sacramento Branch and she was short and curt with me. She spoke to me as if their improper installation of the garage door was my fault. I am a single mother, who during the time of the installation was fully 'employed' in the home, and working full time out of the home, plus my mother had Alzheimers Disease, and then passed away. My plate was full, without having to tell K-Designers how to do their job. They are a SUB-par company and do not deserve a high rating with the Revdex.com. Could that be possible, as their website states, as I had to introduce the company to you?

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Replacement

I believe that they should replace my double garage door at no cost to me. The complete failure has been due to their improper installation of the door from the word go and the company's failure to repair the door once the mistake in the installation was brought to their attention. The company representative verbally blamed me for not calling them more often to complain about the improperly installed door. She said I am to pay a show up fee and for door replacement. A complete con game.

Business' Initial Response

K-Designers has arranged with Ms. [redacted] to have the door reparired. Since her home is a long distance from our Branch office, we have arranged a door company in Palmdale to take care of repair, and we have spoken to Ms. [redacted] and she has agreed.

Consumer's Final Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

KDesigners did NOT arrange for repair of my garage door. The door got to a point where it was stuck in an open and diagonal position, providing no security for my home. I called [redacted] Garage Doors, and they were able to send a repairman right away. This man was a miracle worker! It took him about 2 hours, and he worked his magic to cause the door to once again open and close. Wheels had been forced off and the entire track on one side of the door was completely twisted, and this gentleman, has given me a working door. The door is stronger now that it was originally, as he used the proper sized 'strut' at the top of the door, and attached it to the door, the way it is supposed to be installed. PROPER INSTALLATION! What a concept! He also installed another strut, just a little further down on the door to strengthen it. The problem now, is that due to the folding that the door had begun to do, due to the improper parts used and the improper installation of the KDesign team, the windows in the top panel, are popped out of their place, and there is creasing and denting of all 3 top panels of the door. I do not see the denting and creasing in the bottom panel, yet that does not convince me that there is not physical damage to that panel as well. [redacted] garage door company told [redacted], of KDesigners, that the entire door needs to be replaced, and quoted their price. The woman at [redacted] told me that KDesigners had said that they were looking at replacing only the top panel, which would be ridiculous. Their improper installation is what caused the physical damage not only to the entire door, but also to the metal runner that the wheels roll in, as the door opens and closes. KDesigners sent me a check for $165.00, which was the amount I paid to [redacted] for their expert repair. I have called [redacted], and informed him on his voice mail that I have no intention of cashing that check, as I am expecting them to pay for the replacement door, that I will have [redacted] Garage Doors install, certainly not KDesigners. We have most definitely NOT reached a proper resolution. Thank you for all your help. The status of my complaint is still open and unresolved.

Business' Final Response

On Wednesday, August 29, K-Designers received an email from Ms. [redacted] with an estimate from another company for her garage door.

In response to her email with the estimate, we again offered the $840.00 which is K-Designers cost to install a new door and all of the hardware. If she chooses to use another company, that would be her choice. Again, we feel this is a very fair amount to resolve this matter. If she would like to accept this offer, we asked that she reply to our email, and we will send a check out right away.

We had K-Designers install siding on our home. We are very satisfied with the outcome. K-Designers and the crew were very professional and courteous. We certainly would recommend them to anyone that wants work done on their home.

Review: I am filing a complaint against these cowards (K-Designers) after years of receiving phone calls from them in violation of the Federal Do Not Call List. During this time, they have been "spoofing" their phone number so a different number shows up on my Caller ID, that does not identify this company. Based on my online research, I have discovered this company is K-Designers. I have been receiving phone calls from this company for years. Earlier this week, I received several phone calls from ###-###-####, which shows up on m Called ID as "800 Service." After receiving two phone calls from this number, I blocked the phone number, only to receive a phone call from 1###-###-####, so I blocked that number too. As you can see, they intentionally added a "11" to the phone number that I blocked so that their phone call would not be blocked. I have researched this number online and found hundreds of complaints against K-Designers along with just as many complaints filed with the Revdex.com. Somebody needs to investigate how this company can get away with violating Federal law not to mention the many complaints that have been filed with the Revdex.com. I would like to know how the Revdex.com can give this company an A+ rating. I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST - I DO NOT WANT TO RECEIVE PHONE CALLS FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!Desired Settlement: I want this company to stop calling me!!! My phone number is ###-###-####. I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST - I DO NOT WANT TO RECEIVE PHONE CALLS FROM THIS COMPANY (OR ANY OTHER COMPANY)!!!! I have no interest in their services. Due to their ongoing violation of Federal Laws (the Do Not Call List) and tactics which includes spoofing their phone number and changing their number so their number that was blocked goes through, I would like to see K-Designers Revdex.com rating.

Review: K-Designers Marketing Director claimed at the signing of my contract that America's Dream Exterior Premium Vinyl Siding would accomplish the same sound insulation, noise reduction result as would insulating the walls with insulation material. Claimed it would wrap my house tightly and provide the relief from the neighborhood noises I was most concerned to accomplish. Since the vinyl siding and windows installation in March 2014 there has been no significant noise reduction. I am extremely disappointed as I was looking forward to quiet nights to sleep without the buzzing of nearby motors. My original intent was to replace my windows, but it was at the suggestion and assurance of K-Designer's salesman that the vinyl siding would be easier than putting in wall insulation and have the same desired results of sound insulation. Now the same K-D Sales Rep. has told me that he never promised me sound insulation and there is no scientific proof that the product provides it, only that he has heard it said from others, and that there must be something wrong with my house for it to not be working the same way.I feel that K-Designers has misrepresented their vinyl siding product at my expense because I never would have bought the siding if they hadn't told me it would give me sound insulation; I was sold a product based on unsubstantiated qualities, in effect, false advertising.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded an amount that equals what it will cost to install insulation where it is found to be effective for sound insulation. It is more difficult to insulate the walls now that the siding is on, so it might have to be directed to the ceiling; I will know more after a review by an expert.

Business

Response:

We have been in contact with Ms. [redacted] regarding the concerns described in this complaint. We installed insulation to all outer walls prior to installing the new siding. We have explained that the insulation would reduce the transmission of exterior sounds to the interior of the home. However; we never stated or implied that the installation of new siding and insulation would elimate audible sounds emanating from outside. At this point it is very difficult to make sound reading since the insulation been installed for over a year. We will contact Ms. [redacted] to see if there is anything else we can offer to help further reduce the intensity of exterior noise that is audible while inside the home. Regarding a refund- We fully completed this project over a year ago and performed additional work which was no part of our original agreement. The additional work was completed at no added cost to Ms. [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] also signed a certificate of completion indicating she was completely satisfied with the project. Considering these facts we do not feel a refund is necessary.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:The installation job at my house was completed on 2/21/2014, not yet a year ago. I signed off as satisfied on that day as the installation was complete and the financial agreement demanded it. Negotiation over an interior paneling issue continued in spite of that sign-off, it was resolved months later and it did call for an additional lay-out of my cash to remedy it properly. The siding installation came with a full year warranty on the product and I had to wait until the Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday season for the "sound test" where my neighbors put up inflatable decorations that run motors day and night for 6 weeks, buzzing through the walls of my house. That was when I knew absolutely that the insulation in the siding did not work. K-Designers admits that they sold the siding to me based on it's sound reduction properties. Other than anecdotal, where is their proof of the sound reduction properties of their product? Tri-polymer Injection Foam has a Sound Transmission Coefficient (STC) of 53, a sound reduction value of 70%. What is the Sound Transmission Coefficient of American Dream Premium Vinyl Siding? During the sales pitch, the salesmen were very excited to offer me a solution to my problem with the neighbor's noisy motors and other noises from barking dogs and leaf blowers. It was only because of their enthusiastic assurances that I would be happy with the sound reduction that I went ahead and bought the vinyl siding for my house.

Business

We are in the process of making an appointment to meet with the homeowner to evaluate the project and property to identify potential solutions to the sound transmission concerns. We will provide additional details after we have met with the homeowner and evaluated the property.

We sent our installer to Mr. [redacted]'s home on February 3rd. The problem appears to be with the window itself, so we are contacting the Manufacturer today to have them make contact with Mr. [redacted] to speak with him.

Review: The contract promised from the salesman was never completed. Getting a run around on customer service.

When K-Designers first called my husband set an appointment, they then never showed and no phone call. When they did call, a few days later, set up another appointment I told them that with my work schedule and all the events happening It's not a good time and alson told them of our financial situation. That it's not good. We could never afford siding on the house. But, they kept saying how they could get us a great deal and since I was returning customer get a GREAT discounts there and such. They made an appointment and sent 2 sales people to explain and I swear wore my husband down after being there for 6 hours. I heard him saying to the sales persons that he could not afford it unless it was under $200 and wouldn't pay on it for the first year. I was in/out due to my events going on. The sales persons were "no problem", "we can do that". Then they send out there guys, put the siding on the house. We recieve from 2 different companies payment information. One from Wells Fargo stating $182 starting in March and one form EnerBank for $102 starting in March. That's NOT under $200 and first payment due in a year. My husband tried to call the sales person and explain, he said "No Problem". We'll fix it. After no call from them, my husband went to the office in person and they said they could make the first couple payments to Wells Fargo and just not pay ont he EnerBank (well, that's not sound advice for your credit). Then they said they would work on it. We recieved no phone call AGAIN. We both went out to the office and they said for us to call Wells Fargo and re-negotiate, there should be no problem. We go home, call Wells Fargo, they said that they go by with what K-Designers send to them as the contract. So, I call the AGAIN, and said that they need to call them and re-negotiate because they won't even talk to us. They sounded surprised while I'm getting a run around. [redacted], director, stated he would check into and give to Thursday. I had to call him because Thursday was coming and going. He did answer and I explained to him the run around I feel that I'm getting, you promised my husband something that your not delivering, I wasn't present for the final negotiation and now my husband signed somehting that he thought was what the salesman had promised. I called again today, after he said to wait Another week, the receptionist stated he was there and she put me in his voice mail. My husband would rather have them come take it back off and never deal with them again BUT, [redacted] stated he didn't want that and wants to work something out. He isn't returning calls and now were stuck with a payment we can't afford. I really feel that the sale was made with my husband not knowing what he was signing due to them stating that he's getting what he had asked for. Now, we are stuck with not knowing as well what to do to afford it and their customer service of not delivering and leaving us out in the cold.Desired Settlement: It would be nice if they lived up to the salesman's agreement of what our payment should be and follow through with their customer service instead of us always tracking them down.

We talked to Mrs. [redacted] today. They have two payments for the remodeling work we did for them, totaling $284.00 per month. They are hoping to get them reduced to near $200.00 per month. We told Mrs. [redacted] that we would speak to the two lenders to see if their desire could be accomplished in some way. We should know by Monday and be contacting them. We will notify you of the results.

Business' Final Response

Ms. [redacted]:

I want you to know that we have contacted Enerbank and they have agreed to convert your term loan over to a one year same-as-cash loan. This means that you will not have any payments or interest for one year. After one year you can pay it off in full , pay part of the balance and roll the remainder into a term loan, or place all of the balance into a term loan. They will send you new paperwork showing the change for you.

I am also sending you the rebate that [redacted], our Omaha Manager said you would receive. You should receive the rebate in a few days. I 'm sorry for any misunderstanding that our people may have unintentionally created.

If you have any more questions, please contact me and I will get you the answers. Thank you for allowing K-Designers to remodel your home.

Thank you,

Very pleased with their work. Love the new windows and siding.

Review: My mom had a stroke the beginning of march & had just got our of nursing home for rehab when saleman stoped at her hous. She did need some work done. So they talked about replacing 2 windows & a shower stall. She told her it would cost her about 70 dollars a month. She said ok. He filled out all the paper work on sales agreement and the loan ap and she signed it. She thought it read $4,000.00 dollars but was $14,900.00. When they came to replace the 2 windows talked her into replacing 2 more windows at a cost of $3,800.00. As I said if she hadn't been on so much medicine at the time she would have been able to understand what was going.

I called K Designers and asked for an invoice they said that the sales agreement was all they give out. The only way we got that was when called the police and they talked to Ks and they sent us the sales agreement.

As I said my mom is 84 years old, she had a stroke was taking strong medicine for pain & had only been home about a week. When the salesman talked to her he must have thought hat an easy mark.Desired Settlement: We feel $19,000 for 4 windows & shower stall is outrageous. Should have gotten a invoice on pricing and besides sales agreement was to be given to my mom before work ever started, wasn't given to her till after work was done and then only when the police called and asked for something in writing.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:As I told them the paper work does not add up ,as some of it was not given to my mother, and work was not done.still does not make sence how they opened up loans in my moms name. [redacted] kind of went over things with us but it still does not make sence. I think we still need to talk about the amount because its still unfair. Even when [redacted] was there I think he could see the affects from my moms stroke and see why they could get away with what they did.

Response:

We had a meeting scheduled for 11/20, which the customer said they could not make. We have been trying to re-schedule this appointment with no luck. [redacted] has been home, but her son [redacted] is MIA. He will not return our calls, and [redacted] keeps telling us that she doesn't know where he is. We will keep trying.

Review: Sale person's misbehavior

Just to write a few words to warn people from getting a sale call or doing business with K-Designers. Their sale person does not follow sale protocol and respect your privacy. They come to your house while you are not at home or late at night and do things at your property without your permissions. When I was not submitted to their high pressure sale tactics, the sale person's words become insulting. I had to ask the sale person to leave and not to come back. Yet, the same sale person popped up 9:15 at night uninvited and scared us to death. When complained to their Marketing VP Mr. Burgress. He implied that it is the way of doing sale call and I was just expecting too much. The sad was that Costco use them as a vendor. Desired Settlement: No Settlement. Just wish that Revdex.com post this and people may avoid the same hassle.

Review: K-Designers sided my house, replaced windows in 2010. My house was damaged due to a hail storm in June 2014, so I contacted K-Designers to for an estimate to replace two sides of my house, screens, and a window. I entered into a sales agreement with them. On the agreement it had a description of the working being done but only one price of $13,337. I paid them when the work was finished and submitted the information to my homeowners insurance. They rejected the sales agreement since there was not a detail list of the prices on it, as well as the sales agreement was much higher price than other contractors. After numerous phones calls to get a detailed listing, K-Designers tells me that they can only give me a lump sum amount. Several conversations also took place between the insurance company and K-Designers. This whole mess has been going on for several months. I had to get a loan for the total amount in order to pay K-Designers. So, without this detailed information, the insurance company is only reimbursing me $1,300. The insurance company refuses to reimburse me anymore money without the details. Since the insurance company considers this item closed, they are out of the equation. I have a life time warranty on my house and have asked K-Designers if they would reimburse me the difference since I feel it falls under the warranty at this point. I was told they could not do that. So, I'm paying for a loan for nothing in return. I have no choice accept to proceed this as a legal matter and I have obtained a lawyer to help recoup the money that I have paid K-Designers. Is there anything that the Revdex.com can help me with? I will also be registering a complaint with [redacted] as well due to the fact that they think the price is to high so they will not reimburse me for the claim either. I have been a customer of K-Designers for a long time. I have had two of my houses sided with their product.Desired Settlement: I would like K-Designer's to reimburse me the amount that [redacted] will not cover. All I'm asking is to reimbursed so I can payoff the loan that I had to take out.I would also like this matter to be cleared up quickly, since it has been dragging on for many months.

Review: UNABLE to get a response from the company regarding an issue with water leaking from the frame surrounding the new window in the master bedroom.

@ Sept. 28th of this year a couple of rain storms in the Magna area, my new windows of 4 years (installed @10-14-2010)began leaking in the Master bedroom. It is an area that K Design had contracted to fix. My contact was for $10,496.00 for 5 windows, 1 patio door, one storm, One Entry door. I have paid all but $1.057.00 on the contract. I have called several times and have only spoken to the receptionist [redacted], she said she would have [redacted] their main installer get a hold of me. He has not. The only calls I have had from K-Design are people soliciting work for Windows to be installed I have told both people that have called my problem, They said they would turn in a complaint to the company and someone would be calling me. Again no one has. This was @ 10-14-14 in the evening and again 10-18-14 during the day. I have been told by several companies that I overpaid for the windows. I like the windows they have really made a difference in the heating and cooling of my place. I am fearful of the damage that the water is doing to the drywall in the bedroom and mold that may be growing. I do not know if you can help me but I appreciate anything you can do. Purchase date for the Windows was 9-30-2010, My account number is [redacted], Sales Rep was [redacted] $10,496.00, payment is $175.00 per month (I have been paying $200.oo per month to pay it off as soon as possible.) Again my balance as of last month was $1,057.00.Desired Settlement: I want the problem fixed as promised per the contract.

Business states that they are currently in contact with the consumer and the issues are being addressed.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. NO, IT IS NOT RESOLVED.

I have had one of their people come out and look at the problem. He said it was a problem before they installed the windows, Yes it was and in the contract I signed they have it written that they will fix the problem when they installed the new windows. Now, the problem may be a J-Channel that is in the area where the window was installed. I have had a roofer come out and look at the roof and the siding and he asked if the siding was mangled close to the roof above the window before the windows were installed? I told him according to the pictures taken before the windows were installed the siding above the window and below the roof was not open to the weather the way it is now. This window is a 2nd story window. No one has been at the 2nd story.

Business

Response:

We inspected the project and can see that the leakage, which the customer understands, is not coming from the window, but something above the window. The leak is coming from either the roof edge flashing or the the damaged metal siding above the window. This home has no overhangs at the roof edge and the window is 12 inches from the roof. We are going to stop by today to give her an estimate on siding the home, since we do not know where the leak is, and could be on the inside of the wall, and also suggested she get a roofer out to assess the roof to see if that is the problem.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: My contract for $10,000.00 said K-Design would fix the problem, K-DESIGN saw what was going on, [redacted] came out right after the window had been installed because it had started to leak. [redacted] said the installer had not caulked the areas correctly. Now I have all this new damage. Why didn't they tell me it was a roof problem and I would have fixed it before they put in the new windows, the new frame is all discolored and the frame at the top is sagging and leaking.

Business

Response:

We are meeting with the customer on Friday 10am with another contractor to address where the leak is coming from.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

We are going to meet on Friday to decide what has taken place at the house at 10:00 A.M.
