Very positive experience with Genz Ryan Job wasn't an emergency and wasn't expecting same day service, but it happened! Job was well done and I was more than satisfied!!!

I worked with Tom at Genz Ryan to check my water heaterHe was extremely knowledgeable and professionalHe provided all of the information I needed, answered all of my questions and the attention to detail was outstandingTom followed up when finished and left the area in perfect conditionI have total confidence in GR as a result and will use them again
I called Genz Ryan to service my AC, they found High pressure was going over units & compressor would shutdown automatically to protect itself
- few visits later they said Metering device(Cost $1170) was faulty & replaced itpressure still went over units & compressor w/d shut down
- They claimed compressor itself was bad & that it needed to be replaced and replaced compressor(additional $800)The high pressure still went over units & new compressor w/d still shut down automatically like the old one
- Then they claimed first replaced metering device could be bad & replaced metering device 2nd timeHigh pressure still went over Units & compressor w/d still shut down
- Then they said “My coils were bad & it would need to be replaced” for $I requested 2nd opinion from Horwitz
- Horwitz tech figured out in minutes that capacitor was the culpritThis capacitor is right in the front & had all bulged up/burnt outHorwitz T

We are under a monthly service agreement with Genz Ryan the plan we had selected covered filters for our furnaceOur furnace had stopped working so we purchased a new one and a new air conditioner unit In late October we received filters for our old furnaceWe called Genz Ryan and advised these are no longer correct filters for our unitThey advised us that filters for our current unit are not covered under the service plan and that we would need to purchase a filterWe agreed and on Nov, 7th $was deducted from our checking account We have not received the filter we paid forEvery time we have called we have been told something different That it was received damaged so they ordered a new oneWhich I understand happens okay would have been nice to be told After that we were told it is an issue with a vendorThen we were told that it was shipped they would get a tracking number and call back the next dayWe didn't get a call backOn December 21stSpoke with

Mike Bdid a great job getting our air conditioner workingHe was able to provide service on the same day that I called, which was much appreciatedHe explained everything along the way and answered all of our questionsHe was very knowledgeable and courteousI like that he presented different repair options, keeping in mind the financial aspect of the situation, which is not insignificantMike Bis wonderful! I would highly recommend him to friends and neighbors!

Have used Genz-Ryan for years Have requested Matt *** to do our Annual Plumbing inspection (plus any repairs needed) for last years Couldn't ask for a more knowledgeable, thorough and pleasant professional to represent their Company He is always on time and goes 'above and beyond' in providing service Couldn't ask for more!
We scheduled a service call on a Friday and found out we needed to replace our furnaceThere were no appointments available on Saturday, so they scheduled it for first thing on Monday morningThey provided us with space heaters to keep our home warm throughout the weekend (the temps got down below over the weekend) which was really nice! Tom *** and Chris *** came out to install the furnace and were amazingI work from home and they were quiet and respectful while in the basementOnce finished, they ran through everything with meIt was a great experience (other than our furnace going out of course)

On 2/27/I requested service on our thermostat One solution was offered: Whole Home Comfort Renovation No other solutions were offered Cost for the work was $1, In order to identify the value of the capital improvement for income tax purposes, I made three attempts to request an itemized receipt: (1) by responding to online feedback email (received no response); (2) by email customer service (received no response) and (3) by phone on 4/10/during which I was told they are a “flat rate” company and that they do not provide itemized receipts, and that Natalie would get back to me I did receive a phone message from Natalie on 4/18/ Her message was simply to state they are “flat rate” company and have been for a long time On 5/11/I then sent a letter detailing my contacts with the company in an effort to get the itemized receipt and why I wanted it In the letter, I also let them know I did an online search and found the thermostat on the Honeywell website
Joe and Nate did a great job on the removal and install of our old and new furnace/AC system They worked in a timely manner, cleaned up after themselves and explained the new system in detail I did have to have someone come back the next day for a very minor water leak in one of the exhaust pipes, but that too was fixed promptly and to our satisfaction Thanks again

We called Genz Ryan for what we thought might be $500-$Some irregularities were found and we ended up with a $10,bill which we were not expecting days before ChristmasThe plumbers were great explaining and providing rationale for why replacements were needed (company out of business = no parts and rotten pipes in the floor), making us feel comfortable with authorizing the workI think the plumbers involved felt badly, too, but were very professional al along the wayWe were quite shocked but it was necessary workWe appreciate the quality of the work and their help!

We had Genz Ryan at our house again last Friday and teh technician Matt was topnotch as far as plumbers go and fixed everything in a timely and efficient mannerIt was a little more than we wanted to spend but so nice NOT to have the shower dripping! He also noticed that our kitchen faucet had a leak, so we took the opportunity to replace that as wellWE plan to continue using them and feel they are genuine and we got our money's worthThanks again!
