Zach showed up quickly on the day I called He was very clean and personable while assessing the situation He provided a full explanation of the issue and fixed it promptly I would definitely recommend Genz-Ryan based on my experience with Zach

Genz-Ryan overall is A+++From the beginning they have been courteous, professional and honestThe customer service they provide is a class actThe Install Technician, John Burke, installed my new furnace in temps over degreesIf he ran into a challenge, he met it and exceeded it with excellent repairI cannot say enough about how amazing this company and all of the employees are!!

Mike and Nick from Genz-Ryan did a great job servicing my air conditioning unit Both were very professional and let me know exactly what they were doing and if any additional services were needed or suggested They explained the benefits of the suggested service but did not try to sell me something that was not needed I would highly recommend Genz-Ryan

Ryan and Andrew, the professional technicians from Genz-Ryan Plumbing & Heating showed up on the same day that I called for service on my furnaceAlthough the diagnosis was not what anyone wants to hear, (I need a new furnace), both of the technicians commiserated with me in my painful demise and were very professional by thoroughly pointing out the problems with my furnace which could have killed me as it was emitting COand thankfully the roll out switch was doing the job of shutting off the furnace keeping the COfrom reaching a catastrophic levelRyan and Andrew were very friendly, professional guys that you would want to arm wrestle with for a better deal on the furnace--(Not Really)! They spelled out the cost, financing options and made sure that space heaters were delivered within an hour to keep me warm until the new furnace and air conditioning unit are installedIs anyone really ever happy with the price of a new furnace? I rest my case; But Ryan, Andrew and myself had a group hug and we all felt good about the end resultI live in a condo and the furnace has to fit the footprint of my building; It also comes with an AC unit combinedLet me spell it out...Although it pains me to give in, these guys were very professional, they diagnosed my furnace problem, kept me safe and alive and guaranteed installation within three days in the middle of a winter cold snapWhat more could anyone expect! I give these guys the highest recommendation and would refer them to anyoneThey didn't charge me for the service call which was about an hour of their time and I'll be warm and toasty in a few daysI may not love Genz-Ryan like the commercials say, but these guys make it easier to lean that way!

Our furnace took it's last breath today, and we knew the air conditioner would be soon to followSteve and Jeff came withing 1/hour of our cry for helpThey showed us our options - new motors to get them running again - or new HVAC systemNo high pressure - just the factsI don't like high pressure tacticsAfter deciding to go the new HVAC route, we we were shown the various systems availableOnce again, no high pressureAfter a phone call to the office - it was discovered they could do the installation the very next dayThat would be tomorrow (4/26/18)! Talk about fast serviceI hope the installation goes as well as this service call didGreat job! "We love those guys"!!

Mike Bdid a great job getting our air conditioner workingHe was able to provide service on the same day that I called, which was much appreciatedHe explained everything along the way and answered all of our questionsHe was very knowledgeable and courteousI like that he presented different repair options, keeping in mind the financial aspect of the situation, which is not insignificantMike Bis wonderful! I would highly recommend him to friends and neighbors!

We had a service plan with Genz-Ryan and after the first two visits they made to their house, it's two strikes, they're out
First, we were charged extremely high prices for service and labor ($for a $part to be installed) The technician sold us an upgraded motor for our furnace We do not know how to install any HVAC equipment, so to be honest, we just paid it
Second, we had a technician come to do an A/C checkup and not only was the service tech rude to me, but my wife He also answered a phone call from his dispatcher on speakerphone while working in our house - the dispatcher told him he needed to go back to his last call because he was there an hour ago and their A/C did not work He responded very sarcastically and made fun of the customer We felt this was unprofessional Then, as he was leaving, I asked if we could have the old part back that he had upgraded He responded by telling me that it was "his part now" and that I could not have it back He put it in his bag and told me "possession is 9/of the rule, so it's not yours anymore." I will never know why he wanted to take that part and not give it back to me, but the next part of this story is what made me very suspicious
Just one day after the service had been completed, our A/C did not work I called Genz-Ryan to have them come back and fix our A/C They sent a technician back the same day I called Apparently the original technician had wired the unit incorrectly and forgotten to turn the power back on The technician who ultimately made the repair made an excuse that it might have been "a long day" for the guy who made the mistakesMy opinion, Genz-Ryan -- don't send a technician out who cannot perform the service
I called Genz-Ryan to try and reach a solution, and fortunately, their customer service manager allowed me to get out of the service plan Based on this experience, and experiences other customers I know have had, I would not recommend this business to anyone I know

Mike B was most helpful and patient, he explained everything very well, pleasant, polite, did excellent service on our air conditioner, a pleasure to do business with

Do not hire Genz-ryan, they charge flat rates for any work done and said flat rates are insanely expensiveWe paid $for a garbage disposal replacement that took less than hour and I provided the new disposal! I should have cancelled the appointment that I had to wait days for anyways

Their website states "Genz-Ryan not only offers our customers custom-designed comfort systems, but we also stand behind our service and systems with a pledge of reliability and performance on which you can relyGenz-Ryan guarantees that when the equipment we have installed is maintained and operated in accordance with the manufacturer's operating and maintenance manuals, the system will perform as stated and agreed upon." We have had a service plan with them for some time now, They have been charging us $a month, they never call to schedule the service as the say they will, and their "guarantee" they have on their site is falseNever had a problem with our unit until they stated messing with it, We got them in the fall of in the spring of the unit would not work they came out charged us to fix itnow again the spring of had to pay againThey also said NO Warranty so much for that advertisement on their site5/13/Horrible service, They do not stand by/offer a

A toilet quit functioning and we were experiencing a loss of water pressure in two bathrooms and our water was brown in color Bill *** was the service technician who came to our house He discovered that the water softener had malfunctioned and sediment that was coming out of the water softener was causing the loss of water pressure He offered some options for fixing the system We decided to replace the water softener Bill replaced the flushing mechanism in the toilet and flushed out the pipes and the water heater He was very professional and did a good job of getting our system working again

I had a furnace replacement, plumbing estimate, and electrical work doneThe communication on what needed to happen was very poorThe entire crew was supposed to come at once and get everything doneThe electrician did part of the work and left and the plumber never cameOver hours and multiple phone calls later a plumber finally showed upThe estimate was three times the cost of other companiesI asked for a detailed invoice on the work that was done and still haven't received it after days and multiple phone calls
