I find that so many positive reviews on Revdex.com seems fishy Regardless, I would give this company rating of if I could It's not often I get ripped off, but they got me with an Air Conditioner repair With 90+ degrees outside after almost a week without air, I bought their pitch about all the things that are wrong with my AC and paid them almost $1,700! All I needed is a seal & recharge service, which usually runs around $ They told me I needed a new "Voltage Absorption" system and some other stuff and it sounded important IT DOES NOT EXIST See an ABC affiliate news report about the same ripoff: http://abc11.com/home/ac-repair-leaves-apex-homeowner-with-questions/2289963/
Noah F from Genz-Ryan came out to my house regarding my water heater Courteous, extremely knowledgable and provided first class service My first experience with Gens-Ryan I will call them first next time because of Noah's professionalism
11-15-Genz-Ryan came to my home to do a Furnace Cleaning It ended up the Service person- shut off my Heat because their was a crack in the Heat Exchanger and some other findings also He told me verbally all that was wrong He then proceeded to tell me, he could fix the furnace for xx dollars or I could buy a new one for xx dollars I said I need to get a 2nd Opinion a second bid; that I couldn't make a decision for such a large purchase with one opinion I said when you send me your email of "confirmation of payment" also put in what you found wrong Note the Furnace cleaning was $or $I wrote him a check He said he would email me that day He did NOT give me any paperwork on what he saw or did As a consumer; knowing nothing about Furnaces --it was pretty much greek to me and I could not remember all what he said I never got the email; I called the Genz-Ryan Service Number or timeslast time was 11-24-at 9:30am When I called Genz-Ryan the first t
Ryan from Genz-Ryan was professional, knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with I liked the way he gave us multiple options, good information and didn't pressure us on our decision He was quick to set up our installation and I look forward to working with Genz-Ryan
Johnny J was the service technician who came out to to service our A/C He not only did terrific work, but spent time explaining to me how the different parts of the system worked, and what to look for in the future as signs of potential problems I am a much more informed consumer and understand why certain actions are required I have NEVER had this quality of service for any product I would definitely recommend G-R to family and friends
Very professional I was pleased with the A/C installation Ryan did for us
Very professional, their team explained everything very well before and after installation of a new furnace and A/C Work was accomplished on time and without problems
Excellent experience with Jeff PInstallation TechHe arrived on time, was informative, and worked hard to get the job done in a timely manner
I agreed to purchase a new HVAC system with installation from GenzRyan The offer was on the sales person's tablet and he verbally discussed the products that were bring offered and agreed to alone with the warranty Warranty has parts once directly from GenzRyan and the other is the parts warranty from the manufacture I asked when I would receive this information in writing and the sales person (Steve ***) told me that I would get this in an email
The ONLY documentation I received via email was the invoice that listed a general HVAC description and NOT the specific information about what manufacture(s) and module number(s) were to be installed This invoice also incorrectly listed the GenzRyan part of the warranty at years "Can't write a check" and while the sales person was in my home he told me and I agreed to the year "Can't write a check" warranty I have NEVER received any information about the manufactures warranty part as I was told I would
I feel this sal
Jeremy from Genz-Ryan was courteous, helpful and very professionalI will definitely ask for him again if and when I need serviceA+ for him as a representative of your company!
What a bunch of liars, cheats and thieves They make used car salesmen look like saintsThey have a billing rate of over $a hour Took over two months to actually talk with someone Although a partial credit was offered, they still ripped me offI'd give them a negative star if I could I've got nothing good to say about them They use deceptive sales practices, then don't document what work was done and over bill you The only reason I actually got to speak to someone and got a small credit is because I contacted the Attorney General's office to make a complaint
• We had worked with Genz-Ryan in the past and had been impressed
• We needed a new boiler and on the recommendation of our Genz-Ryan HVAC tech, Noah, we decided to get a "top of the line" Bosch combi boiler
• The install cost over $10,
• I got to see different employees over days, and it took them days to get it working over a period of a weekI had to "deal" with them for consecutive days
• I have made requests for receiptsThey came incomplete totaling only half the cost
• I made five requests for the outdoor sensor to be attached to the boiler before getting a response other than "it doesn't need it." After sending this review to Genz-Ryan, and before this posting, Noah called and we scheduled a time for him to come and put it in
• Their automated system asked for feedback before the boiler was working or before I had received any receipts for work done
• Genz-Ryan told me twice they were certified to install Bosch boilersI called BoschBosch told me Genz-Ryan is not certified to install Bosch boilers"I'm sorry sir, but that company is not on our list," the people at Bosch told me
• Before posting this review, I sent it to them asking them to help me conclude itI got a call from my initial technician, Noah, but there has been no effort on the part of management to acknowledge any problemI still do not have all the receipts - I am missing the receipts from Joel's visit for half of the total charges
• In order to have some piece of mind, I had to hire another HVAC Bosch certified specialist to come and inspect Genz-Ryan's workHe pointed out that the port to gauge the exhaust temp is next to the wall and therefore not useful for taking that measurementEverything else checked out okay
• Everyone is very nice at Genz-Ryan, but this experience adds up to a lack of competence across the boardIf you search through the one star ratings, you'll notice the copy/paste response of their "striving for world class customer service." World class? What world are they talking about? Courtesy and thoughtfulness are great attributes, but are worthless in the face of such a display of repeated incompetence
I wonder if the Revdex.com is aware of Genz-Ryan's use of their logo on their trucks?
• Could I please get that receipt now?
Great service and friendly representative Would recommend this company to anyone looking for good reliable products and service
MattM did a fantastic job today recommending and replacing my old water heater that had sprung a leak He also repaired another plumbing issue that had developed a slow leak He was extremely professional and quick at his job I was impressed at the quality and how thorough of job that was done Matt also had a great sense of humor and wouldn't hesitate to use Genz-Ryan and Matt when needed in the future
My air was acting up and tech was sent outWhile measuring voltage/amperage tells me my motor is fried even though is was runningdollars later with a new motor it is doing the same as beforeThen I am told it is a loose connection and there are other things that could be replaced and he says he is giving it to me for freeOnce again that same issue is happeningThird time out I am told that the only thing left is my control board and trying to be nice says I can order it online and do it myself or it would be another bucksWell I did order it and replaced it on my own but still want to know why Genz-Ryan replace a motor that was working?
Steve Mperformed an annual inspection and functionality check on my furnace and A/C He was quick and proficient, explained what he was doing and answered a number of questions I had He also gave me a bid for some separate electrical work that needs to be doneI am happy and satisfied with my experience and readily recommend Genz-Ryan and Steve Mdon
Professional and friendly
We called their main number and said that we needed a technician to check our furnace and air exchanger and CLEAN both or them, for a home inspection The guy came out and didn't have so much as a Kleenex to clean anything I offered our small mini vacuum to help him with that, and he said emphatically NO He did nothing but add a plethura of needed parts for our all already working furnace He DID NOT even attempt to clean either the furnace or the air exchanger, and had a very bad attitude I feel violated on every level, and paid him $on my Visa I have repeated called the phone number for the Genz Ryan Company, and no one even cared After multiple phone calls, I finally reached Jeff, a Manager, who had totally no interest in helping this situationMost of my multiple phone cals couldn't even get a person: just a recording that said that they were busy This company is a very bad scam
Please help me

Noah Fworked on my home's boiler and air conditionerHe was very friendly and did a good jobI will ask for him personally next time I call Genz-Ryan
Don't be fooled, their tu"special" is a joke; they will only give you that special when it works for themBUT not when they have service calls rolling in that they can bill at a higher billing rateMove on to a company that honors their commitments and follows up on promises.....I used their online scheduling request form; they called back and we got their $AC tu"special" on the calendar several weeks out The night before the scheduled tu(less than hours notice) I received a call that they were unable to make it out the following day and to call to reschedule When I called back and talked to the service rep Christian, he said that they have all "no-cools" to cover and had no technicians to cover our appointmentHe also gave me a line that it was "the law" that they had to cover no-cools, when I asked him to clarify what law, he said the state of MN requires that they cover any place that reports a no-cool because you know, kids and elderly When I told him I had rescheduled my work to stay home that day and that they could stop by at anytime he said that he couldn't make that happen His only resolve was to offer to reschedule me and put a "don't not reschedule" flag on itWhen I told him this was really poor service, I asked to have a Service Manager call me backHe took my info and confirmed my phone number, but I never got a call backI would have been happy with SOMETHING for my inconvenience, perhaps even just a flimsy furnace filter!
