"The Brick" came by this morning and fixed a heating issue in our spare bathHe showed up right on time and fixed the issue quicklyHe also gave me some great tips on helping to balance out the heating and cooling of our houseThanks!

We have used Chas Roberts for HVAC without any issuesWe tried using them for plumbing services and they no showed us three times

Our tech, Mike "the brick" is outstanding!!! He always goes the extra mile....always checks to make sure everything is in working order...even those areas outside the reason we called him to checkHe is also very good at diagnosing a problem Doesn't stop until he has identified the problem and provided the solutionAlso very tidy....always cleans up with shop vac!!
We will always ask for Mike "the brick" when requesting a tech make a call to our home

Just had Daniel from Chas *** A/C and Heating out to fix my heat pump problem, no heat just cold airHe did an excellent job of checking everything and readjusting some code settings and I have wonderful heatI am so very pleased with his work and experience, he explained everything he was doingHe also mentioned the inspections a year plan and its benefits and I signed up for thatHe also made a suggestion for a device to lower the compressor amp start up and I had that installedNo hard sale just giving the facts to lengthen the compressor lifeAn excellent job

Jason W*** replaced my Disposal today and did another excellent jobHis work is professional and he tests everything prior
to finishingHe's also very neat and leaves the job clean !!

Just had my A/C unit serviced by Chas Roberts, they went through the whole system, explained how everything works and best to use my A/C unitThey were very thorough and spent a considerable amount of time helping me with my issuesI recommend their workmanship and customer service approach

We went with Chas Roberts as they were the ones who installed our AC unit when we built our home, after only being in our home since February our AC went out, so we called them out, we called on Sunday they couldnt come until Tuesday, the technician came out and said we were really low on the gas in the AC unit and we needed another 5lbs of it for our unit to run, he also stated we had a leak but could not find itSo we paid over $to have it filled, and he said they will send another technician out a week later to look for the leak again, and our best bet is to wait until fall and cooler weather so they can do a much more thorough search, but our AC will have to be shut off at least a week to do it, and he quoted us $for that, well today is Tuesday, exactly a week later and this man shows up, very nice, but again, can NOT find the leak and tells me that our freon in our AC unit is low by 4lbs and it will be almost $to fill it and if I dont fill it today that our AC will not be working in a week, and that our best bet is to wait until fall and cooler temps to do the more in-depth search for the leak but then tells me it will be $dollars,
So now our only option is to continue to fill our AC unit and spend around $a month to KEEP FILLING THE FREON???? Chas Roberts sent out technicians and could not find said leak, but wants to keep charging us to fill our AC unit until around October and we can go without air.....my complaint is how do you know its a leak when different techs came out, neither could find anything, but both wants us to spend money to fill it or we will be without air, I have a month old and also work from home, we DO NOT have that kind of money, I feel like we are being ripped off and lied to, why can anyone find a leak? why cant they tell me why we are loosing the gas? how do they expect anyone to have an extra $a month to fill it just to have AC? I feel like they just want out money, and want to keep having techs come out to fill our unit, but not resolve the issue, I will not give Chas Roberts another penny and will not recommend them to anyone I know

They are very professional and do very good at what they do

year extended warranty purchased on 3/**/$on *** a/c unitI called to schedule a service check on my unitWas told my warranty expired in May of They stated that this extended warranty actually started on the date my new unit was installed at our new home in May which would equal the years There is no indication on my receipt that warranty started back in They continued to say that they spoke to my husband (passed away ***2016) back in about this and he was in agreementWhy would we even agree to that when our paperwork was for yearsI have tried reasoning with *** but ** keeps saying "even though it's not on my receipt that is the policyrepresentation and failure to honor what I paid for

I have used several A/C companies over the years and this is one of the least trustworthy or concerned about their customersMy newly built home was left with a partially installed A/C system by this vendorI moved in Jan and decided to pop on the A/C a couple months later on one of those warm days we get sometimes in MarchThe A/C was not cooling the house after an hour so I went outside to discover a loud grinding noise coming from my new A/C unitI immediately turned off the A/C and called ChasA rep came out and found that the condenser unit valve had not been opened so the system was running without being able to do any circulation to the evaporator unitHe also found that the ducting in the ceiling had not been connected and that the installation tech had marked that there was a large leak in the system but had done nothing to correct the issueThis was strike against the trustworthiness of this companyThe tech repaired the leak he found, finished the installation of the unit and the A/C began to workI am still concerned that running the unit in the half installed state caused damage to the condenser unit but Chas did nothing to investigateA month later the A/C stops working againChas comes out next day and finds that a fitting outside on the condenser line was not tightened enough and all my freon and oil had leaked outChas tightened and filled the unit cooling resumedOnce again I am concerned that letting the unit run for a day without coolant and oil could have damaged the compressor but Chas does not seem concernedStrike against the trustworthiness of this companyThese are machines that require lubricationThe unit may continue to function but Chas Roberts poor installation could cost me years off operation and labor bills to replace a compressor, dryer, and filter later on that may have lasted the warranted lifespan with only routine maintenanceThat brings us to yesterday 6/29/My home is at degrees and the A/C is on set to and it is not cooling downAfter some time I hear what sounds like my irrigation system watering the yard (it shares the same wall as my A/C unit)It's loud enough for me to go outside to see what's going onThe A/C is making a loud grinding noise like something is stuck in the compressor or there is some restrictionI call Chas to tell them about it and schedule service so my unit does not suffer more damage than it already hasChas schedules me for Friday (days later)If there is an issue with the machine that could cause damage waiting days to let it continue is not a good idea but at this point I am not 100% sure the unit is not working so I agree to have them come out between 1PM and 4PM FridayI have never waited on an A/C company during a warranty period for daysTwo hours later and the home is still not cooling beyond degrees so I call back Chas and let them know the unit is not cooling (this is at 6PM)Chas tells me that they cannot get to me until tomorrow sometimeThey have no ETA, appointmentThe phone representative is dismissiveI set my thermostats to degrees so the unit limps along overnightAt some point whatever was making the noise in the unit goes away and overnight the unit cools to Not knowing if I still have an issue or if the unit self corrected I cancel the emergency call (people with zero cooling are way worse off than I am at partial cooling)I am going to monitor the system to see if I need to schedule a checkI have reached out to my builder and suggested they consider a different sub since Chas's work has been so shottyI am also contacting my other A/C company to see if they can take over service so I no longer have to deal with ChasThere is no way to go back in time and undo damage done by running a partially installed A/C systemThese "ghost" type issues are the worst kind of problem because they are almost impossible to diagnoseThe only way I would trust this A/C unit at this point would be to replace the condenser unit, ensure the internal coils are clear of any debris, and reset the system to factory specsIf there are compressor shavings floating through the unit it will not operate efficiently and if there are enough to clog up the filter the unit will perform even more poorlyThe unit may still function but will not come close to the SEER value it is rated forThanks for nothing Chas

My a/c went out Tuesday morningI am with high blood pressure and a pudgy dogIt was in the houseWe were sufferingI called several companies here in Phoenix, including Chas RobertsThey were so nice over the phone, and gave special attention to the health situation we were inThey worked me into their schedule yesterday, and Hugo the technician arrived to save the dayIt was a capacitor, and he replaced it quicklyHe was so kind and courteous and the price was $less than the other guysI felt badly that he had to crawl up on my roof where the unit is, but Hugo said he does it everyday...no biggieWe are happy and cool, and Chas has a customer for lifeThanks!

I called Chas roberts on 6/20/to report my a/c making noise and was not coolingThey scheduled me for Friday, which I was hoping would hold up I called Chas roberts about my A/C which completely broke down on Tuesday 6/21/16, I called several times on 6/22/after being told in the morning that they were coming at some time on 6/22/to fix the A/CAt 7:30pm I recieved a call saying they were two houses away from getting to my house, that it would be late but they were coming, finally at 1am I called again, and basically the operator told me I had no choice but to wait that if they said they are coming to fix my air they are coming because there was no way of contacting the techs because they turned off the pagers due to too many calls, mind you this is a brand new house approx months oldNobody ever came to fix my a/c, I called 6/at and they told me that there is a note that I the owner rescheduled for today, all the while I was in the house all night with my thr

Very unreliable, they fix my unit half wayI was charged me $for a new motor and they took off without telling me the coil & filter was dirtyIt broke down again, so I got a different company to look at it and it was finally fix rightI will never recommend or use Cash Roberts again

They said they would only charge me $85, then charged $and $an hour for labor-good Lord-very deceptive business practices-

On Jun I had a repair done to my Air ConditioningWhen I received my invoice *** the technician documented that he replaced the motor and capThen when I looked at all of the charges, there is a $charge for replacing a motor and on that same line it states that the same charge includes the capThen there is a second charge for replacing any cap of $ Since the technician only documented replacing one cap I should not be getting billed for a second capI have tried getting in contact with someone at both of their offices in Tucson and in Phoenix

Contacted Chas Roberts to service both AC units at home August Secondary unit was repaired without problemTechnician stated that would have to return at later date to inspect primary unit, at no chargeWaited between two to three weeks to be contacted by company for completion of original service callTechnician inspected and tweaked primary unit's drainage systemWas not informed about any potential damage occurring to property as a result from service callA couple weeks after completion of service call, unit caused over $in damages to ceiling located in master bedroomSoon after incurring damages to ceiling black mold has appearedBlack mold is an extreme health hazard

I'm a new homeowner and new to having an A/C unit My first service call to Chas Roberts was to report that my A/C had experienced a power surge as the result of being struck by lightening during a (monsoon) storm
The office suggested that although the A/C appeared to me to be working okay, I allow a service technician to come out to perform and inspection to ensure the unit was not damaged and was working properly
The service techinican (Francisco) was very professional, courteous and thorough as he explained to me the steps he was taking to troubleshoot as I personally observed his work during most of the visit In addition to makng sure the A/C was working properly, Francisco did a quick check of the heating unit and also checked all vents to ensure there was proper airflow throughout my home
If all of the technicians provide the excellent customer service that Francisco did, then I will continue to rely on ChasRoberts for all of my HVAC needs!

Great customer service

I had a large hot water pipe leak under the slab of my rental house I thought it would require using expensive equipment to locate the leak, dig up the slab at that point, and then repair the leak and take many hours or days Luis (technician #9366) from Chas Roberts came out to investigate and give me an estimate on a Sunday He said he could just run a new line from before the leak in a bathroom wall, up though the attic to the outside wall to the kitchen sink all in one day He was able to rearrange his schedule to come out the next day and finished the job in less than five hours He only had to cut three small holes in the bathroom dry wall to fish the new PEX tubing through the wall into the attic and down the wall to the kitchen sink pipe He climbed around in the attic twice to finish the job There was no way I could have figured out what to do and then do it to fix this leak I really appreciated how professional, knowledgeable, and courteous Luis was to quickly repair this potentially devastating situation I believe the renters appreciated his efforts too This is the second time I have used Chas Roberts to repair a plumbing problem and have been completely happy with the service Thanks Luis and Chas Roberts

The ChasRoberts Technician Rick M*** was punctual, polite and thoroughHe discussed several issues with me, including the installtion of a Surge Protector for the air handler motor, and installed it on my approvalHe performed his work in a timely manner, and to my satisfaction
