This is completely unacceptable.  Kohls cash is advertised as CASH ...which when turned in reduces the total amount you pay by that amount.  Since they failed to do that they FALSELY ADVERTISED. They wrongfully charged my credit card for the total amount and that is FRAUD.  I NEVER should have been charged that $10 and they AGREED to refund the $10 as stated in the last email I sent to you.  Since they are now refusing to do that ...that is a LIE.   They have already been told clearly, multiple times that because of their continuous LIES and horrible customer service I have no intent to shop in that store again so a gift card is offering me NOTHING.  They therefore STOLE $10.  I am appalled that a company continues to exist with this lack of customer service.  I was a long term shopper that spent A LOT of money in their store...even traveling out of town when there was no store here.   NOT ANYMORE.   They can steal, falsely advertise, lie and commit fraud and I will now continue making that as public as possible.  Regards,
[redacted]

not originate at Kohl's and are disappointed that our name has been associated
with this type of communication.
In this information age, e-mails can be fabricated and this has been a recent
trend on the internet. This practice is referred to as "spoofed"
emails. Spoofed e-mails are those that appear as if they are sent from an
individual (Kohl's in this case) but are in reality disguising an e-mail
address from someone else.
We regret any inconvenience you have experienced due to receiving an e-mail of
this type. Be assured Kohl's will continue to investigate the source of these
e-mails.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint in any way.
I understand that Kohl's tried to reach me by mail and Kohl's was unable to reach me because Kohl's had an incomplete address in its records.  That was their fault - not mine.  Nonetheless, they reached me by phone - they had a correct phone number for me.  When I was reached by phone and explained that I never received a bill, Kolh's still was intent on charging me a late fee, EVEN THOUGH KOHL'S KNEW I NEVER RECEIVED A BILL BECAUSE THEIR RECORDS SHOWED THEIR BILLINGS HAD BEEN RETURNED AND NEVER DELIVERED.  This was an attempt at fraud, although I suspect it was just policy to charge a fee whenever someone is late, regardless that the customer was faultless.  To my way of thinking, this requires the first of three changes in Kohl's collection policies.  DON'T INSIST ON A CUSTOMER PAYING LATE FEES WHEN THE CUSTOMER IS NOT AT FAULT.  The second  problem was that even  though Kohl's knew the customer was faultless having never received a bill because Kohl's records were in error, Kohl's nevertheless reported me to the credit agencies as a deadbeat creditor.  This should never have occurred - although I suspect Kohl's personnel were just following policy.  But this is the second policy change that needs to be implemented - NO REPORT OF A CREDIT VIOLATION WHEN KOHL'S ITSELF CREATED THE SITUATION.  The fault is Kohl's in this case, not the customer.  The third problem is that even thougbh Kohl's knew it filed an erroneous credit report on me, they made no effort to correct the error.  Instead I received a notice from Experian that Kohl's had listed me as a bad creditor and that I should contact them to get the problem resolved.  So I made another call to Kohl's to initiate action on their part to correct the erronoeus credit report.  As good corporate citizens - as I'm sure Kohl's is - it should be Kohl's obligation to correct errors in a credit report that Kohl's initiated erroneously.  In essense, Kohl's policy is to be complacent - it does not care - what happens to a customer's credit becuase of a bad credit rating that Kohl's itself caused erroneously.  So this is the third policy revision - THE COMPANY MUST CONTACT THE CREDIT AGENCIES ON ITS OWN INITIATIVE WHEN THE COMPANY DISCOVERS THAT IT MADE AN ERROR IN REPORTING SOMEONE AS A BAD CREDITOR RATHER THAN PUT THE BURDEN ON THE INNOCENT CREDITOR - I point out that in most cases, customers would be oblivious to the fact that Kohl's filed a bad report on them (since most people don't have credit watchdogs like Eperian).   Get your act together, Kohl.

We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration our customer experienced. We are not showing his email address on file on Kohl's end. On the bottom of the email, it does provide an option to unsubscribe from Kohls.com sales alerts and advertisements.

My position is the same as that I originally requested.  I wish to be compensated for their unfair practices-the discount that I should have received on my purchase. If they are not willing to do that, then I expect that a company that believes in such extraordinary customer service as Kohl's claims to have, that an actually person can contact me, tell me that they don't care about my business and close my account. As it stands, I will now be happy to express on social media, word of mouth and any other opportunity how little Kohl's really cares about guest relations, making an attempt to do the right thing or even provide a personalized touch to a complaint.Their responses even to Revdex.com have just been clipped, canned bits of policy rhetoric....no real effort to see that what they actually put forth is "big business as usual" and no real caring as to try and keep their "MVP" customers.

That is a crime. I do not trust kohls or they're business practices. As a business if you offer a consumer terms you are required to adhere to them.
