Fraudulent advertising for a FREE sample with no warning that you will be charged $89.99 after 15 days.
Responded to a ad for FREE SAMPLE of La Pura face cream on 5/29/2019. Shipping cost of $4.95. Received assumed free sample product on 6/6/2019 8 Days. On 6/11/2019 noticed charge of $89.99 on credit card. Called company immediately to find out what the charge was for. The call center I reached informed me that it was for the FREE SAMPLE I had ordered and since I did not cancel within the 15 day trial I was being billed the full amount. Ordered on 5/29 received on 6/6 that's 7 days of the 15 day trail and only 8 days to try out. But they suggest you try it for 30 days. What a crock!! I told them I did not agree to that and no where on the ad did it say trail period of 15 days or an amount if not canceled. They took charge off after my first complaint on 6/11/2019 and on 6/12/2019 I did receive an email 'to confirm that the order of Anti-Aging Cream has been canceled. You will not be charged for the product. Shipping and insurance is non-refundable. If you have received the product, go ahead and keep it on us! Feel free to try the product and let us know how the product worked for you!=)" But today 6/18/2019 I notice on my credit card statement that the charge had been deducted again. I called 877-557-8709 and complained that I had been told that there would be no charge and foreign sounding lady who was not very pleasant continued to tell me that the trail period had expired. So upset that this company is defrauding people with misleading ads.

Desired Outcome

I would like my $89.99 refunded. I agreed to the Shipping of $4.95 but not any other charges. I will happily return the product if requested. It isn't any better than Oil of Oley.

I spoke to someone from company that agreed to cancel my order and they only refunded half.It feels like the call center is over seas and doesn't care if they have bad publicity.

After being mislead to Believe you are getting a free trial the company charges you for a monthly subscription and will not refund
I have never experienced a worse situation than I have with this product. When I chose "rush my free trial" on the website, that is exactly what I expected. A "free" trial minus shipping costs. I never read anywhere that it was a 14 day trial and I would be charged $160 for a monthly subscription. I would have never signed up for this product. I asked for the product on May 6 and was then charged on May 20. I did not even get the product in the mail until May 14 and then I tried it and had the worst skin reaction that I am still trying to recover from. I stopped using the product immediately. And since it was a "free" trial I thought nothing else of it. Well then I get my credit card statement and find 4 charges for this product. Which once again I did not sign up for. After spending over an hour and a half of my time I was issued a refund for 2 of the charges and only a 50% refund for the remaining charges. So therefore I have now spent $70 for a "free" trial for a product that I cannot use. That is really a crappy way to treat customers.

They offered a 50% refund yet I still had to pay $70 for a product that I did not order. They do not advertise the automatic monthly subscription and they cannot expect people to receive the product, try it, and know whether it will work in only 14 days.

BUYERS BEWARE OF SCAM!! Unauthorized charges on credit card after requesting sample only!! MISLEADING & FALSE ADVERTISING and sample smells and feels like semen!!! Do not give this company your information or request a sample or they will charge you 69.99 & 89.99 and continue to charge without your approval.

Mis- represented their contract. Refused to give full refund. Charged bank account without permission. I signed no contract. No English speaker
This product was offered for a trial without any information about continuing a contract with them. I looked carefully for the complete terms of their deal and offering. Tried to resolve it and get my refund. I talked to someone who barely spoke English, who I could not understand. He spoke quickly with a thick accent.

Order included items not ordered. Invoice listed as Trimming Weight Loss and Pill diet, not La Pura
Skin Care. I just wanted the free sample $4.95.
Ordered May 30, 2019. Cancelled May 31,2019 when three items were listed in my credit card as Trimming Weight Loss (2 items) and Trimming Pill Diet, one item. Total charge $74.84. All I was interested was a free sample with $4.95 shipping charge. When I called on May 31st to 877 701 1128 I further found out that they had put me on a monthly program

Products were returned in the same box they came in, unopened, via USPS on June 8 2019, Tracking number:XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX. The order was placed through the internet on 05/30/2019; it was canceled 05/31/2019 by telephone call to 877 701 1128; at the same time I canceled the monthly order that this company had signed me up without asking me. I placed the order to La Pura skin products, not to a weight loss company. I have not heard from them. USPS clerks had a hard time confirming the address that I had to google since the package just came with a city, Odessa, Florida, 33556, no street name nor number. I have proof of absolutely everything from my end as regards this complaint.

Credit card charged 69.99, after cancellation of free trial over a month ago.
Received the La' Pura skincare cream and eye serum and noticed it has not been approved by FDA. I had already called to cancel my trial before receiving in the mail because of how rediculous the price of the product is. I am not going to use something that is not FDA approved. Now they have charged my credit card 69.99 after numerous attempts to cancel my trial. I cannot remember the person I spoke to. I could barely understand her strong foreign accent. I also received an email from La' Pura stating the following:

Hi ***,

This is to confirm that your order of Eye Serum has been cancelled.
You will not be charged for the product. Shipping and insurance is non-refundable.
If you have received the product, go ahead and keep it on us! Feel free to try the product and let us know how the product worked for you! =)

I want a refund of the 69.99 that was charged to my credit card without my Authorization.

I purchased the skin care product on April 5th, 2019. I received my product on April 10th, 2019. After using the product for a few days, it created a skin rash and burning sensation to my sensitive skin. Although it says it's all natural it still caused issue to my skin. I ended up having to go to a dermatologist to be given an Anti-inflammatory skin cream. I contacted the company on April 21st, 2019 to inform them of the situation and to cancel any further products from being shipped to my home. I was then informed that I was charged 89.99 for the face cream and 69.99 for the eye serum. When I informed them that I had a reaction to the product they apologized but refused to provide a refund for the amount charged to my card. They informed me that I paid shipping and handling only and I have a 14 day trial period. I was out of the 14 day window because they started the clock as of the order date. So instead of having a full 14 days in order to try the product, you only have the 14 days from the order date whether you have the product in hand or not days. I contacted customer service again via email and was again denied a refund. I contacted customer service again via phone on April 23rd, 2019 and talked with an agent concerning a refund. They 1st offered me a 30% refund of my money in exchange for not sending the product back. Then they offered me a 50% refund if I didn't send the product back. I was then put on hold where the agent reached out to a manager who approved a 70% refund without sending the product back. If I return the product I pay for my own shipping and handling and I have to pair restocking fee of $10 per product. You only have 30 days to return the items for a partial refund. That 30 days is based on your order date, which puts you behind the 8 ball with getting any money back at all. Since you return it go a PO Box, you can only send it USPS, which is its own issue. They try everything to not return your money regardless if you are satisfied or not.

Other (requires explanation) I feel that if you offer a 14 day return policy for a new product, you should honor the 14 days based off of the delivery date of the product. I want to have my full amount refunded to me the 89.99, the 69.99, and the original $9.95 shipping and handling charges for the inconvenience.

I have also mailed back the items to the company via USPS per their process. I have confirmation that the return was delivered to the PO Box provided by customer service. To date, I have not been issued a credit for the return. The product was delivered before the 30 day close of the return.
