La'Pura Skin Care Reviews (%countItem)

After completing a survey, I was offered the product to try for shipping charge only. I called verify but was charged $88 & $93 unauthorized.
I authorized a shipping charge of $4.95 only for a skin cream but they charged me $88.46 2 weeks later and another $93.43 when I called to complain about that charge. Said they're sorry the rep didn't explain this to me when I called to verify that the $4.95 charge was the only cost I authorized.

Desired Outcome

$88.46 & $93.43 credit

Have been reimbursed. Thank you for your help.

Unethical company practices in deceiving their customers by charging them ($88.96)for the trial Product 3 days after receiving it. No refund .
Please help to stop them

I ordered a free trial of lapura skin care and got charged full price without warning.
I ordered a free trial of LaPura skin care and was told in the ad I only had to pay shipping and for $6.99 more I could get eye serum. Now I have 2 charges a day apart from each other. One was on 10/30/19 for $88.46 and one on 10/31/19 for $84.37. Had I known I was going to get charged a heaping fee I never would have committed to this. I have a baby on the way and I can't go spending money like this frivolously. I'm nervous that I'll get another charge on my account today just because this company is one big scam. They need to warn customers that they're going to end up paying full price. I tried calling their number and was automatically disconnected. I'm extremely upset and will sue for false practices if needed as I have a lawyer in my family who specializes in business. Thank you for reading. I trust that this will be resolved promptly.

Desired Outcome

I want my money back, even if it's a partial refund just for the misleading advertising.

Customer Response • Nov 15, 2019

Unfortunately, this company charged me an additional amount of $94.34 on 11/14/19 without any product or any watching whatsoever so I was forced to report my card stolen and cut my card off. I currently have no access to my bank statement because of that but I am not disputing all three amounts now which comes to a total of over $267. I will also be filing a police report for the identity theft that has appeared to have been made against me.

They sent me an email with only 1 refund and they discontinued a subscription that I didn't even enroll in. I still expect a full refund because of the nature of the circumstances. I believe they copped out by only doing one refund. I had to turn off my payroll card because of these snake . I currently have zero access to my money because of them. I'm extremely disappointed and disgusted with how they handled I . I expect all 3 monetary refunds.

I just had a case closed and these scam artists only refunded 1 amount while still charging me again on the day the case was closed!!
They only refunded me in the amount of 84$ but they didn't give me the 88$ refund and they double charged me in the amount of 94$ for a product I didn't receive or even order!!! I filed a consumer complaint with the federal government as well. I don't understand how I just got screwed over again!! These people are disgusting! I demand to get my money back because I will take further action and these people do not want that. I'm expecting a child and I don't have the money to get robbed like this regularly!!!

I expect a full refund of the $88 purchase and the double charge of $94. You people should really be ashamed with how you conducted yourselves.

False advertising - very sneaky!
I fell for the intro offer - free - with only shipping charges. I pad the shipping charges through my credit card and when I failed to cancel my "subsctiption" within 14 days (I actually cancelled on the 15th day!) I was billed the FULL charge of $89.99 for the product! I complained to my credit card company and they have told me that I still have to pay the $89.99 charge since I was one day late in cancelling this stuff. I was not happy with the product nor the charge; this company should be put out of business!

Desired Outcome

Put this company out of business! They are out to lure senior citizens like me! It would be nice to get my $89.99 back if possible.

According to our records, Ms. did initiate a dispute with her credit card company. As a result, the chargeback was applied to the charge and we are unable to issue an additional credit as the charge has already been reversed back by the bank. Ms. account remains closed.

Company failed to disclose full price for "free" products after 14-day trial period. Refused refund despite cancellation within 4 days.
On Oct 15, 2019 I heard a radio advertisement about receiving a free skin moisturizer product for only the cost of shipping and handling $4.95 and participation in a 14-day trial period to use the product. I called the phone number given on the radio to place the order. An offer to receive another free product, an eye serum, was offered to me under the same terms: a $3.95 fee for shipping and handling plus participation in the same 14-day trial. Both charges were made to my Bank of America debit card and posted on October 16. At NO TIME was I told I could not cancel any future auto-ship orders or that there were any additional charges for the two "free" items.
I was concerned that 14 days was not sufficient time to evaluate the product so on October 19 I called cust service and cancelled the "membership super saver" program and any future orders. I received confirmation #XXXXXXXX for the face cream and confirmation #XXXXXXXX for the eye serum.
On October 29 my bank notified me that my account was overdrawn due to an $88.46 charge for moisture cream from La'Pura. I immediately called cust service and spoke to "Cory." I was informed there was no documentation of my cancellation on record, and since I had received the initial products I was responsible for the charge. Cory refused to refund the $88.46 since I did not remember the name of the person who gave me the confirmation cancellations. He offered to refund 50% but I told him to stuff itthis was fraud. The products were advertised as FREE. Then he told me there was a restocking fee. I got mad so he offered to refund 70% AND cancel any future orders and charges. I agreed since I didnt have my paperwork.

Later that afternoon I called back and spoke to "Ricardo". I had found my notes and provided the two cancellation confirmation numbers and demanded a full refund. Ricardo said it was not their policy to refund orders that had been received by customers. He also reprimanded me since Cory had provided "excellent customer service" by giving me a 70% credit. I told him his company is running a con game because these items were advertised as "free" and at no time was I told that I would be charged full price for them, $88.46 and $84.37, respectively. I was shocked that I was going to be billed for the eye serum for the same outrageously ridiculous price. I had not yet been billed for that and made Ricardo cancel the charge. He said Cory already cancelled it.

Desired Outcome

A full refund of $88.46 charged to my Bank of America Visa debit card on Oct 29, 2019.

Customer Response • Nov 15, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
On Nov 15 the business contacted me by email to advise that the remaining charge was being refunded to my charge card and to allow 3-5 business days for the transaction to be complete.

I, just as others have stated, have been charged for a product I did not sign up for. My order was for 2 "free" products for which I was going to be charged only the shipping and handling. If I didn't want to continue with the product I had to cancel within 14 days. I did not want to continue, so I canceled within the time period. That's not where my problem lies.

However, when I received my statement not only did I have the shipping & handling ($3.95 & $4.95) charges for the 2 products I did receive, I also had a charge for $19.95 for a product I did not order. The man I spoke to at La Pura (aka Trimming Weight Loss and/or La Pura Skin Eye Serum and/or La Pura Face Cream) said the $19.95 charge was for 1 of the 2 products I did receive, which by the way I did not order. IF this is the case, then I shouldn't have been charged one of the S & H charges for the "trial" products, because I would have only received one of the 2 products that I was supposed to be getting. If this is now not making sense as you read this, it didn't to me as I was speaking to the customer service man. He was "dancing around" my complaint. He put me on hold a couple of times while he checked with his "supervisor".

Sooooo, I now have shipping and handling charges for 2 products, as well as having an additional charge for $19.95. I only received 2 of the 3 products, one of which I never even ordered. I couldn't agree more with everyone else who calls this company(ies) a scam. BEWARE!

I had the choice to pick a free product online. I was To pay fOr only shipping. I put my card info in an clicked pay. Instead of $2they took $29.
I took an online survey which promised me cash for finishing. I finished the survey I did not receive cash but a list of free products I could choose from. I chose the skin care cream clicked on the product then was told I had to pay for shipping. I figured OK I'll pay for shipping only. Once I put my card information in and selected pay they had thrown two other products in the cart and took over $29 off of my debit card completely draining it. I immediately emailed the company back and they said they get back to me within 24 hours I believe I was completely scammed and scammed by the online survey. These sites pray on the lower income citizens by promising free products or money for surveys that we try to do to gain a few dollars or get a product we normally couldn't afford for free. I had $40 to last me for the rest of the week an I was just scammed out of $29.00 of it. I'm thankful it was just a debit card I used but now they have my information in there system. These sites need stopped!!!

Desired Outcome

I What all of my money refunded and the entire order canceled as soon as possible I only had $40 to last me for the rest of the week and they took me for $29. I was told I only had to pay for shipping and handling and it was one product I put my credit information in and click to pay and they had thrown two other products in my cart without my permission and after that was done I was sent an email and at the bottom of it it says shipping charge is nonrefundable the website is not clear and they put stuff in your cart. you didn't even ask for

In August 2019 I ordered some skin products on a free trail, paying only $19.95s/h. I didn't sign up for reoccurring monthly shipments.
In August 2019 I ordered La Pura Skin products on a free trial paying only $19.95s/h. At no time did I sigh up for reoccurring monthly shipments or authorize future charges to my credit card. In September I received another box of product. I tried contacting to company at the (855)number and never reached anyone. Today, Oct 23rd, I recieved yet another pkg. I immediately called and got to speak to a person. I spent a good portion of an hour on the phone trying to send the product back and get a refund. They kept trying to keep me as a repeat customer. I kept informing him that I never wanted reoccurring product. This product is no better than inexpensive face creams and I just wanted to send the box of items back. They gave me a huge runaround never giving me a shipping address or telling me where they are actually located. Each month they are charging me $84.74 on my debit card. Their only solution was to credit my card back $34.94. They had my card on file and said they were unable to put the money on that card and asked for another card. I felt that truly was a scam. I told them I only had the one card and had nothing else and which point they said I was lucky the charge back went through, but I won't see it return to my acct for 72 hours. They refused to give me a conformation number or cancellation number. They just said it would be the latest shipment's order number. Please help me,.

Desired Outcome

I would like to send the two pkgs back for a full refund

Wish there was an option for zero stars. They charged my credit card without my permission. I had to threaten to call them every 5 minutes to get my money back. They are scammers.

We ordered a cream on 9/16. It was supposed to be hipping only but they charged $24.94 and continue to send and bill us every month
We Ordered through Facebook on 9/16 La Pura cream. they said we would only be billed for shipping, that the cream is free and endorsed by Christy Brinkley. We received cream, and I noticed they didnt take $4.95 out of our account but $24.94 on 9/16
We started using the cream and not happy, so we forgot about it till on October 15 our account is billed for another $24.94 and we receive next day another 1 OZ jar. There is no information in box how to cancel or return.. We dont want this product

Desired Outcome

refund for twice $24.94 as the first time should have only been shipping, handling and not $24.94 and the second time $24.94 was charged and we dont want the product. We ill send back the unopened jar.

I ordered my sample as advertised to try their product. I received it 3 days ago & had over $80 withdrawn from my account today.
At no time did I understand that I was ordering a full product. It was advertised as a free sample with me paying for shipping. I also made sure to click the one time option as well. I was understood to be trying this sample only & then decide if I want to purchase. This is just wrong.

Desired Outcome

I would like the amount taken out of my account be replaced.

Charging for products that I did not order, website confusing, called to return, gave me a number on package to return saying UPS number not true
Ordered there skin product - had upsell on the form with no way to opt out - thought I was just ordering just the one product. On check out there were two more products on statement with the cost.

This was done at night so called immediately in the AM to cancel the other two products - was told they could not stop the order as it was already in the system. I would have to send the products back.

Received package with very small amounts of product and packed up to return the two that I did not order. Called office and they gave me a number to take into UPS. I thought this strange and they gave me a RMA - I did not know what this was and assumed it was a number that they used for their company to make returns. UPS charged me 12 dollars to ship back to them.

Called again to get reimbursed for the products and the shipping. They said they were not responsible for the shipping. All in all they are unethical on their website and then do not take responsibility for their mistakes. I found the same complaints in the Revdex.com

Called again today

Desired Outcome

Refund for the two products returned and refund for the cost of shipping - %12.00

I am repeating myself- written respond attached

To: Revdex.com

October 18, 2019

Responding to Letter of October 15, 2019

Just to put this in writing. My position still stands. The website which I used for LaPur Sckin care did not give an option to just order the one skin cream. It kept coming up with two more sales and which I did not click on them - I thought I was just buying the one.

In additional I called them to report which happened and was told if I returned the two products that I did not order they would refund me. I asked for a UPS number to send them back I used the number the girl gave me and when I went to the post office was told that it was not a number for shipping returns. It cost me $12.00 to return the other two products. They would not take responsibility for their website and they way it was structured. I have to assume that most people would not go through the trouble to return the items. I looked at the reviews and saw several other complaints stating the same situation.

I am sure they will not do anything more to correct this but at lease wnted to filed a complaint with you.

Thank you for your time-I am not going to pursue this but wanted it on records.

Used a deceptive, false Amazon Rewards promotion to have me ordered their products, refuse product return and doesn't honor their no charge promise.
I received a text message on my cellphone on 6/6 with "You have an Amazon Rewards!" followed by a link (http://yh8vnv.com/cxefsc, this link had since become invalid). I make Amazon orders a lot so I thought it was a reward offered by Amazon or through Amazon. I clicked the link and saw an order form for face cream ($4.95) and eye cream ($3.95). I entered my credit card information, including my email address to make the order. There was no mentioning of the nature of the order or any obligation associated with it at all in the order form. I received the face cream & eye cream in mid-June. I thought they were the reward offer I ordered and paid for and that is it. No email, phone or post mail notification of any other charges or future shipments. I went for a month-long oversea trip from Mid-July, when I returned in Mid-August I was surprised to see two sets of face cream & eye cream. I didn't see any email or post mail communications on these products. I called the customer service (on 8/14). Only at this time was I told that I had been entered into a "subscription" with monthly charges and shipments of the face & eye cream. I told the representative that I was never informed of and never agreed to the "subscription" and monthly orders of the two products, so I wanted to stop the "subscription" and return all 3 shipment sets of the two products I have received (I didn't open any of the products,). But I was told that the company has a 30-day return policy so I can only return my last shipments of face & eye cream (received in Mid-August) and cancel the subscription. I asked to talk to a supervisor and was told a supervisor would call me back within 2 days. The representative cancelled my "subscription". I received phone conformation that the "subscription" had been cancelled and an email stating that my eye serum with purchase ID would not be charged. After 3 days without receiving a call from the company I called on 8/17; again its representative told me a supervisor would call me back within 2 days. He also told me that the company should have sent emails for my subscription and monthly charges. I never received any. 3 days later, no phone calls or emails received, I called again on 8/20. At my insistence I was connected to speak to a supervisor, he told me he would find a way to let me return all the products I received and let me know. Two days later no emails or phone calls, I called again on 8/22, asked for and spoke to another supervisor, he told me he would escalate the issue and let me know the result. Again no phone calls or emails from the company. I called again on 8/27, it had been two weeks since I first made the request to return products I received, the representative (Leon) told me that he didn't see any review or decision on it. He told me that his final decision is allow me only to return the face cream & eye cream I received in mid-August and gave me authorization #s for their return. I mailed back the face & eye cream, and only after 3 additional phone calls (8/31, 9/5 and 9/10) I received refund for my return on 9/10. I checked my credit card transactions to see the charge or refund of the eye serum that the company said it wouldn't charge, it was charged and no refund was made. I called the company on 9/19, the representative said she didn't see the email the company sent and asked me to forward the email. I sent an email with the company's email attached on the same day. I received an email reply on 9/22 stating that "Anything outside of the 30 days are not refundable". I replied and pointed out it was not a 30-day product return, it was an order the company promised not to charge. So it shouldn't be charged in the first place and if it was charged it should be refunded as promised. Not seeing any reply I called again on 9/29, the representative still refused to return the charge but said a supervisor will contact me within 3 days. I haven't received any replies as of today (10/6).

Desired Outcome

1) Return all the products I received for refund as the "subscription" with monthly charges and shipments were done deceptively and fraudfully without notifying me before it happened or after it happened and without my authorization (I never received any email on this). So far I was only allow to return the face cream and eye cream I received in mid-August. (Each face cream bottle charges $94.94 and each eye cream $73.94) 2) The company returns the money ($73.94) they charged for one of the eye cream (purchase ID that they promised not to charge. The company's email I received said: "This is to confirm that your order of Eye Serum has been cancelled. You will not be charged for the product. Please find the summary of your order below: Purchase ID: *** Order Date: 06/08/2019".

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I appreciate La'Pura's return of $73.94 for the eye cream that they promised not to charge (but charged). But this is only one of my two requests. As I explained in my complaint the company used deceptive practice to charge and send me their products (face cream and eye cream) without notifying me or getting authorization from me. It is more than reasonable for me to just ask for to return those products for refund (I haven't opened them). So I ask the company to send me three RAN (return authorization number) numbers for the two face cream bottle and an eye cream bottle.

They said the only charge would be shipping and that was not true I have called them but to no avail. Please help. I'm 83 yrs old and cannot afford it
This came up on internet as a free gift and would only be charged a small shipping fee, There was no way to go back and cancel after I had put in my cr. card #, so when the product was delivered, I called them trying to return it and was told only then that the actual cost was$89 plus and they refused to cancel. The order date was9/13/19, order *** Shipment id XXXXXXXX. My card has vbeen billed for $4.97 and $3.97 so far with the $89.00 pending because they won't cancel.

Desired Outcome

Not to be charged anything other than shipping charges I was informed of (#3.97 plus $4.97 total.

LaPura offers a free sample if you agree to pay shipping charges. Once they have your payment information, they bill you excessive amounts.
I agreed to a one-time shipping charge for a free sample of their face cream. Over the next month, there have been four additional charges totaling $329!! When I call the customer service number on their website, they are "unable to find my account" so they can not address the charges or escalate the call to a supervisor because I don't have an account. They say I must be calling the wrong number, even though it is the one posted on their website.

In order to stop the charges, I'm having to file a fraud claim with my credit union, cancel my debit card and get a new one issued, and let the C/U file against LaPura in order to get my money back. I will do whatever it takes to get my money back from these crooks!! With all the complaints in just a few months, how can a company like this be allowed to continue operating? Their free sample is *** and now I'm getting ridiculous charges for no further product or services.

I don't understand how this is isn't illegal!!

Desired Outcome

I want the unauthorized charges credited back to my account. I have taken steps through my credit union to have all future charges stopped because it was my only option.

In regards to the complaint received above, we have reviewed the account of Ms. with great care. We do show that Ms. agreed to a 70% partial refund for the products received in September. We have issued an additional 30% refund for these charges so that they have been refunded in full.

Additionally, we have also applied a 70% partial refund to the products ordered in August. We do not require Ms. to return the products, they are hers to keep. If you require any additional information, please let us know.

Best Regards,
Customer Support

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I appreciate their response and refund. I do believe they should make the terms of the agreement more prominent when they offer free samples for the shipping charge only. I was on watch for it and never saw that I was agreeing to ongoing shipments and charges.

Advertised as a "free product" if you pay for shipping, only to find myself stuck in a "membership" where I'm charged over $160 a month no refund
On August 11th 2019 I replied to an email offering me a free sample if I paid a $4 shipping fee. I then got a charge on my card on august26, 2019 for $69.99 and $89.99. When I called they told me it was a "14 day trial" and that I was then automatically enrolled in the monthly membership program where I would be charged $160 monthly. 1) it hadn't even been 14 days before they charged me, and then they told me they could only offer me a refund if the product had been unopened- how would I have been able to "trial" the product if it needs to be unopened in order to send it back for a refund?

Desired Outcome

Full refund

According to our records, Ms. did initiate a dispute with her credit card company. As a result, the chargeback was applied to the charge and we are unable to issue an additional credit as the charge has already been reversed back by the bank. Ms. account remains closed.
