I think this company is out to scam people with false advertising. I just ordered a product and never received anything. They should be put out of business. Thid needs to stop so no one gets ripped off.

Scam Scam Scam. I was told twice I would get my $88 back that I NEVER authorized back and I am still waiting. WHY CAN'T PEOPLE RUN HONEST BUSINESSES!!!!!

order this product as a trail. billed around $160.00.Called and told no trail cause of type of credit card. I was charged during free trial time. V
on Dec.6 2019 I was offered a free trial from La Pura skin care. On Dec 9 2019 I was charged 3 separate bills. one for 19.95,one for 24.94 and one for 29.95 . I did not receive product til Dec 20 . with a free trail that I did not get. Then I was charged another fee of 84.95. When looking at my charges it was made by a different address, when I looked it up, there was no La Pura skin care. I eventually called 877-701-1128 and spoke to Maria. She told me there was no trial with free shipping and that I used the wrong credit card to get the free trial. She said she could only stop the monthly order as of now and I would receive an email of the cancelation. I have not got one til today. They are not answering their phone. They are criminals that our society is allowing. This needs to stop. I will never purchase anything on a free trial bases and that hurts our economy

Desired Outcome

This is simple. I want my full trial time that would end in a full refund of $159.58 to make this legal.

Ordered 1 product 12/04/19 was supposed to be free for taking a Walgreens survey but was charged$24. Charged again 1/7/20 for another I didn't order
Received E-mail from "Walgreens" to take a customer survey. I shop and get prescription s there so I took the survey. Offered me a free skin care products from La Pura but pay $4.95 shipping. Received 3 products and a charge of $100+. Called and got the 2 products I didn't order but had no success getting the one product I ordered for the $4.95 shipping and finally gave up and was charged$24 for it. On 1/10/2000 received another one of the same product which I'd never ordered and checked with my credit card company and sure enough was charged $24 again. Called La Pura and the first representative, Shelby said I had a automated monthly replacement order on file. Never asked for, agreed to or even talked about a recurring order with La Pura. Shelby said that they'd reduce the price by 50% and I said no, that the full price needed to be removed from my credit card. Shelby put me on hold and I gave up on the call after 10 min on hold. I called La Pura again immediately and spoke to Colin's next. She offered me 25% off! I said no, full refund. She said to send it back registered at my expense and keep the tracking number and call back when I'm notified that it's been delivered to La Pura and they'll just change me a $9 restocking fee for a product that I never ordered from them. I saw that they have over 60 Revdex.com complaints already. How many are required before Florida's Attorney general takes their lisence to operate away. I'll be glad to be deposed if that will help stop this awful business. The first invoice dated 12/6/2019 had order I'd of 81D94B939 for LaPura instant tightening serum. The second invoice dated 1/5/2020 had order I'd of 18C0C703CC for LPura instant tightening serum

Desired Outcome

Refund of $24 charge and no restocking charge and they pay the return postage for this product I never ordered

Do NOT order from this company! It is a scam and a fraud. I filled out a survey and signed up for a ONE TIME sample of moisturizer for $1.00. They charged my card $88 for that shipment because I didn't return it within 14 days. Then was told they don't accept returned product! They then shipped me another supply the following month and charged me $93. I've been since trying to get refunded either from them or the bank and it is incredibly time consuming. How is this company in operation?

This company offered skin care product for only shipping and handling of $3.95 my credit card was charged over 100 and no product ever arrived. It's
It's now 3 weeks later and still no refund or product and they are ignoring my daily calls my emails. They stole from me at Xmas. I'm on disability. Who does that?

Desired Outcome

I want my money back and all fees on my overdraft and late charges since my stolen funds went into overdraft and nsf charges. So disgusted.

La'Pura Skin Care Response • Feb 10, 2020

According to our records, Ms. did initiate a dispute with her credit card company. As a result, the chargeback was applied to the charge and we are unable to issue an additional credit as the charge has already been reversed back by the bank. Ms. account remains closed.

Was enrolled in a monthly, costly, subscription of cosmetic product without my knowledge. Called to cancel, was not refunded for the product.
12/6/2019-was asked to complete a short survey on amazon in regards to a product I purchased. With completing the survey I would be given a free gift to chose from. The product I chose was La' Pura eye serum, moisturizer, serum and just paid for shipping. I was charged $3.79 and $4.97 for the 2 shipments on 12/6/2019. I received the product a week later and actually have yet to open it/use it but was happy the product arrived and was looking forward to trying it when my current cream is gone. I thought this was the end of my charges to this company.

I noticed another charge on 12/23/2019 for $88.46 but did not have the information to reach the company back at so I called my bank and they were unable to cancel the payments. I had no idea I would be charged the full price of the product nor did I have any idea that I would be enrolled in a monthly subscription for these products. I noticed this week that my card was charged $88.34 on 1/7/2020 and $93.43 on 1/8/2020. 1/10/2020 I received more product which included an invoice with a phone number. I called the number today (1/10/2020) and when speaking with the representative was informed that by agreeing to the product and paying the shipping on 12/6/2019 I had inadvertently agreed to pay full price for the product after a 14 day "trial" if I did not call them back within 14 days I would be charged the full price of the product (so obviously not a free product that was advertised) and that I automatically enrolled in a monthly shipment/payment. I told the representative I had all the products, which were all unopened and still wrapped that I would love to return all products for a refund. I was informed I could not return the products from December and that it was in my best interest to keep the products that arrived on 1/10/2020 and they would offer me a 35% refund on what I was charged for in Jan 2020. I asked multiple times if I could return the items but was told that each item had a restocking fee of $9 per item and therefore it made the most sense to take the 35%. I asked if I could speak with a manager/someone above her and was denied. The representative led me to believe that the only way that I could get out of the monthly subscription moving forward is to just take the 35% and cancel. I was very frustrated as I asked in as many ways that I could think of how I could return the product to get refunded and either got into some cyclical explanation/no explanation then was offered 60% off if I continued the monthly subscription moving forward. I asked several times how I can just cancel everything as I want nothing to do with this product or their company. Basically, I have paid $279.17 for a product that I did not want, thought was "free" sans shipping cost. Apparently they are refunding me $60.48 but I am still out $218.69. I am frustrated that companies are still getting away with these schemes, when I called to dispute these charges I was made to feel like this was my fault and was not granted the ability to speak with someone with authority. I am hopeful that this complaint is taken seriously so others won't fall victim as I did and am further hopeful there will be repercussions for such pitiful business practices.

Desired Outcome

Ideally I would appreciate a full refund for the product I have received minus the initial shipping cost of $8.76 which would be a refund of $270.41. This is what was advertised therefore this is what I feel is fair. I am more than happy to return all products (still in bubble wrap/sealed that they were delivered in). What I would love to see is a complete change in this companies sales/advertising practices to be honest and upfront. If their products are as great as they say they are they shouldn't have to trick customers into enrolling in a subscription without their knowledge and not allow them to return the product for a full refund. Further I will be speaking to Amazon.com today to ensure they are aware of this companies unlawful (in my opinion) and misleading business practices. Amazon is an upstanding company and am sure are unaware of the business practices of La'Pure.

Total SCAM!! This company should be shut down!! It specifically asks if you want to trial other products. I specifically stated no. Then almost 2 weeks later I receive the products (the one I order and all that I declined). When I had time to call a few days later they had already charged me an additional $168 for not returning the trial product within 14 days. Seriously didn't even have the product a week. The lady made a snarky comment about reading the details that I signed up for. Oh I did, and I declined everything they sent. They sent it anyway and claim I messed up. I intend on proving this company is a scam even if it costs me lawyer fees. This is NOT ok to scam people. I work hard for my money and I would NEVER pay almost $200 for fake creams falsely sent to me. Buyer Beware! They will drain your account!

This company is a fraud. I ordered a trial size for two items, which I received) and ended up being charged over 172.00 for product I never received. The trial size automatically enrolls you in monthly program.I disputed the charges and was sent documentation saying it was a 14 day trial and I did not cancel in time. They stated I was emailed several times, for which I never received anything from them. Buyer beware!

Registered complaint that I did NOT request monthly shipping of 2 products from this company - shipped from 11551 East 45th Ave, Unit C, Denver CO.
Late fall 2019 received suspect e-mail allegedly from Walgreen's (where I am a loyal customer) asking me to complete survey about its service. If I did I would receive free products - survey domain was something like "hohiku.com" which I didn't notice until I okayed the "shipping" charge for products. I did NOT request or authorize any regular monthly purchases! Then January 8, 2020 I received a shipment from the Denver address shown with Order ID C6598696D2 dated January 2, 2020 with shipment ID 20525696 - 3 products - lifting eye serum, wrinkle freezing moisturizer and tightening serum - NONE were requested. Customer Service Phone # shown is 855-207-3111 and e-mail is [email protected]. I am sending a registered letter to both the Denver and Odessa, FL addresses confirming I did NOT request these and to stop sending them. I have also alerted my MasterCard vendor not to pay the bill.

Desired Outcome

Stop scamming folks LaPura. And - if you can track down the source of those e-mails from "hohiko.com" attached to legitimate vendor names like Walgreen's and get them to stop. In reading info on Revdex.com's website about these complaints I see I am not alone - so it seems it is time for the federal government to step in.

Customer Response • Jan 28, 2020

I did hear from the company on January 23 and I cancelled my credit card they had used just to be sure it didn't happen again. They allege I agreed to monthly shipments back in Oct/Nov, which was around the time my e-mail and Facebook were hacked and that "hohiko.com" kept popping up in my e-mails. (it's gone now it seems) Capital One covered charges through their FraudAlert and I advised them of my complaint registered with Revdex.com. I told LaPura that if in fact what they did was technically legal due to some screwup on my part it certainly wasn't ethical - if their products are so good why not just sell them at a retail level? If desired I can see if I can forward the e-mail response I received from LaPura. And a HUGE thank you for your followthrough - I'm sure that played a part in my getting this squared away. Keep up the great work!

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
While I believe their marketing tactics are less than ethical thanks to Capital One's Fraud Alert program and the minor credit that LaPura provided my account I guess we will call it settled. For sure I will be more cognizant of watching for its name as well as that "hohiko.com" on e-mails that get past my Suspect Mail filter. Thanks again Revdex.com - you provide an invaluable service to folks!

discovered additional unauthorized and/or unexpected charges
took a COSTCO survey and was promised a sample product at low cost (under $5) shipping/handling. Next thing we knew there was an $88 and $86 charge on credit card acct. Called the company and they claim we signed up for a monthly auto-ship. Not true. And they send no products basically they just take your money.

Desired Outcome

I want my full refund close to $200 dollars. And stop scamming people with fake advertising.

This is a complete scam and joke
Automatically charges you $88 for some product.

This website and business is a scam. Your supposed to get one item for the shipping cost only ($5). By the time process is complete you have three items for over $100. Even though you click that you don't want the items... you have no choice. I tried to stop payment and shipment immediately but they wouldn't.

I never authorized the charges to my account. Called their 24 hour customer service line, no answer. Pending charge as of 01/02/2020.
$88.46 on 01/02/2020 was charged to my bank account without my authorization. Called their 24 hour customer service line, on hold over 25 minutes, no response.

They have not provided an account number, an email confirmation, and/or purchase order number.

Desired Outcome

I want the full amount refunded, $88.46, to my bank account. It was charged directly to my Visa debit card.

This company has tried to charge me for a subscription for which I never authorized.
I was offered a 'free gift' for completing a survey - when I chose my gift I was asked to input credit card information - which I did not - I backed out of the transaction - the company called me to aske why I Didn't complete my transaction and I told them that it was supposed to be a free gift and I wasn't giving credit card information. Now I understand they are trying to charge me a subscription fee of over $88 which has been declined by my credit card however they must have my credit card information.
This is an attempt to charge me for a subscription to which I didn't sig up.

Desired Outcome

Have company cancel this unauthorized subscription and don't attempt to charge my credit card in the future

Unauthorized charge of $88.46 being taken out of my account.
December 21, 2019 accepted "free" skin care offer agreeing to pay shipping and handling only. I only wanted one product, but as I moved through the online process, it kept adding products and shipping costs, so I logged off, thinking I had canceled the entire transaction. December 22, 2019 two separate shipping costs of $3.97 and $4.97 were deducted from my checking account. A few days later, I received a package with two products sent from a fulfillment center (11551 East 46th Ave.Unit C Denver, CO 80239) via USPS. Thought that was the end of it until today, January 5, 2020, when I noticed a charge of $88.46 pending to be deducted from my checking. Charge is totally unauthorized and I do not want this product. I will return the unopened package in tact if this will stop any further contact from this company and will want my money back. La pura. *** Instant eye lifting serum and lp-fc001 Wrinkle freezing moisturizer. Order *** Calls to three different customer service numbers are going unanswered. Please help!

Desired Outcome

I want the $88.46 returned to me with the understanding that no further product or charges are sent or billed to my account.

RE: complaint ID#XXXXXXXXX

After weekly calls to the LaPura customer service line beginning on January 6, 2020 and being told each time that my request for a refund was being "escalated" to the department which handled refunds, I finally received the second of two checks owed to me via checkbook.io. on March 6, 2020.

This entire situation was frustrating and confusing from day one.

The initial ordering process was misleading. Website kept advancing to other products and orders without a clear indication that I was actually asking for another product. And exiting the website proved not to cancel the orders I did not even want to place.

2 products arrived in one shipment in the same box, yet, my bank account was charged two separate shipping costs.

Nowhere in the literature sent along with the products was there any instructions to return within 10 days from receiving the product or I would be charged for these "Free" trials. Also not noted in any correspondence with the company was the extremely high price of each item ($88.46 for one item and $84.37 for the second), therefore, when my bank account was debited those two charges, I was totally blindsided and it caused a hardship in my financial situation.

This company sends out very scarce concrete information on what you are actually going to be billed and the stories change with each different representative that I spoke to from week to week.
I was initially told I would get my refund (total of $172.83) as soon as I returned the products. Once I did that and called to confirm they had received my package, only then was I was informed that I would only be receiving a refund of $78.51 for the $88.46 charge and $74.42 from the $84.37 charge - excuse was a $9.95 each "re-stocking fee" for each item. None of this had been explained in the prior conversations.

On January 13, 2020 my bank account was credited with $74.42. When I called to ask where the second amount of $78.51 was, I was told they were having trouble accessing my bank account and the payment had bounced back. I would get a phone call from the Escalation department with an update on that refund within 2 - 3 days. No one ever called me from LaPura at any time during this whole situation.

Repeated phone calls regarding the second refund were greeted with the same stock answer - you will be getting an echeck in 2-3 days. By this time I had been asking to speak with supervisors and finally on 3/4/2020, I received an email that checkbook.io would be making two small deposits and withdrawals to confirm my bank account info and on March 4th, a check was sent electronically in the amount of $88.46 (the re-stocking fee was NOT deducted from this item as I had been told it would be - another inconsistency) and I could finally deposit that amount back into my account when they released the funds on March 6th.

So, after a frustrating and very confusing experience dealing with this company, I have finally recouped most of my money back.
My only comment would be BUYER - BEWARE when doing business with LaPura.

Their email address is [email protected].

The business phone number is 877-701-1128 or 855-207-3111.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely

Do not order from this company. It is a big scam and a rip-off. DO NOT FALL FOR THE ADS THAT POP UP FROM YOUR SCREEN SAYING THAT YOU'LL GET FREE TRIAL AND JUST PAY FOR HANDLING AND SHIPPING! IT'S A BIG LIE!!! My charge should have been $4.95 each for 3 products, but turned into over $25 for each. THEIVES

I was charged on three separate occasions, 2 weeks apart, for 88.00 and 93.00 dollars each time, and never received anything.
On November 22, I took advantage of a trial offer for La-Pura skin products. I did not see anywhere that committed me to future purchases (it is in VERY tiny print at the bottom). I received the trial offer products. Then, on the 6th and the 9th of December, I was charged 88.46 and 84.37 for La-Pura skin products. I did not receive anything. Then, again, on the 23rd of December, La-Pura again charged me 93.43 and 88.34. I never received anything. I tried contacting their 800 number and no one ever responded. I sent them an e-mail on December 31st demanding a response by today, and have not received any answer. I had to put a stop payment in with my bank, which cost me an additional 30.00, just to avoid further charges. My bank informed me that they have had other complaints about this company.

Desired Outcome

Truly all I want is a refund of the 354.60 total I have been charged, and no further contact by this company. It would be nice for the company to refund my 30.00 stop payment charged by the bank, but I will settle for the refund of $354.60 which La-Pura has charged me and for which I have received nothing.
