Lavish Skin Care Reviews (296)

Review: I ordered a 14 day trial size of the product lavish skin care. The terms and conditions say that they allow 14 days to use the product. It also says they allow 4 days for shipping time. Further down in the terms and conditions it states that your trial membership starts the day you order it but this statement is not in agreement with the other statements made and, in my opinion, is hidden in the different area of their terms and conditions. I called on the 14th day from the day it was shipped not received and they still had already charged my account $89.73. Their website says 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed, however when I called to question the charge on my credit card they offered me a 35% not 100% refund. I was truly interested in using the product and purchased the trial size so that I could see if the product worked for me. After I had completed my application for the 14 day trial of lavish skin care a small pop up box appeared offering another skin care product that should be used along with lavish called Neudermis for an additional trial amount of $3.95. There was no page with terms and conditions just a small little popup box. So 14 days from that date I was also charged an additional $88.78 for that product. Both products were shipped from the exact same address yet had different phone numbers and required me to debate and discuss with two different individuals as to why they had charged my credit card sooner then the 14 day trial had ended. At first they offered me a small discount then the discount got bigger the madder I got. I was told by the first girl that I talked to that my account had been cancelled and there would be no further charges. The next day there were charges for both amounts on my credit card of $88.78 and $89.73. Now it appears they have removed the original website so that customers who are angry cannot even prove that they were scammed. Fittingly, now they have replaced it with some snake oil! Please shut down this SCAM OPERATION!Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of all charges. I want to be removed from any future mailings.

Review: I ordered a "Free Trial" from Lavis Skin on April 4, 2015. Unfortunately, to my horror and dismay, the trial was NOT free and the company charged my bank account $88.00 for the product they shipped me. Prior to ordering the free trial, I eliminated every avenue of locating a purchase price for the product. I searched the internet and even the company's [redacted] page but was unable to locate the purchase price; therefore, I proceeded with the free trial. I was extremely careful in reviewing every check box and every field I entered and there was NO indication that I was signing up for a monthly purchase nor indication that I would be charged for the trial. I called Lavish Skin and spoke with a representative and was informed that since I checked the box to agree to the terms and conditions that I signed on for the charges. I explained that I searched the internet prior to contacting her to see if I had missed anything (even going as far as almost signing up for another trial) but never located any indication that the free trial was not a free trial and that I would be charged. She informed me that she knew that I was informed and that she was well versed in all of the advertisements. I also shared the fact that I had searched the internet and [redacted] for the price of the product to no avail and she assured me that it was listed when I signed up for the trial (which it was not)! I asked her to provide me with the avenue for obtaining the information and she provided me with the website address of www.trylavishskin.com. I tried to view the website from four separate computers and the server does not exist. She refused to refund my money. Unfortunately, I also obtained a trial of [redacted] cream and was charged another $89.00 for it. I was informed that I had to contact that company to cancel my order. Unfortunately, I cannot even reach a representative there! Both companies should be shut-down for this!Desired Settlement: I would like an immediate full refund of my $88.00 from Lavish Skin and $89.00 from [redacted] I would like an apology for the mess this caused for my husband and I to maintain our monthly payments as we are on a strict budget. I would also like to see or hear that they have changed the advertisement so others do not run into this same issue.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Review: I signed up for your free offer to just pay shipping. 1 1/2 weeks later I received one box and then several days later received another box with the free sample in each. Upon signing up for your offer, there were no indications acknowledging the ongoing charge. When I received both boxes there was no paperwork of either a packing slip or invoice making any claims of any recurring charges. It wasn’t until just a few days ago I received 2 more boxes containing your product with, once again, NO packing slip nor invoice! When I further investigated and saw where 4 charges had been made to my credit card, 2 for each product, is when I had to go searching for a way to contact them as they don't provide any type of packing slip or invoice with contact or return policies listed.

I made contact with customer service. He asked me to not return the goods but rather sell me on a 50% discount if I didn’t cancel. I told him I only wanted a refund on all 4 charges. The customer service agent told me that there would be a restocking fee I would incur for the return. He provided me with 2 separate RMA numbers for each product.

After the call I emailed customer service and this was the response:

Thank you for contacting Lavish Skin Care!

Once we receive the product with the issued RMA attached to the package we will be able to process the refund. Once processed, the refund could take up to 7 business days to post back onto your account. You should receive an email confirmation once the item has been officially processed. I would advise keeping the tracking information for the package just in case there are any issues with the return. Unfortunately due to our terms and conditions we are unable to refund any charges past 30 day of their original order date. If there is anything else I may be able to assist you with, please feel free to send me another email and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience.Desired Settlement: In reviewing the 26 pages of complaints this company has received in just the last 7 months and reading where they "value your customer satisfaction. We have provided you the full refund of $....." This is throughout the 26 pages and I don't expect anything less than what has been honored over and over again. I am NOT requesting a refund of the $4.95 and $3.95 I initially agreed to per the infomercial I watched the day I ordered the product. I AM requesting a 100% refund of $356.02. That's for both charges of 176.56 and 189.46 that were initially charged way before the supposed "14-day trial period" was over as I stated it wasn't until 10 and 15 days after the initial order did I receive both products.

Review: On 1/5/2015 from a web site on line I ordered a 14 day trial of skin cream from Lavish Skin Care for $1.95. This charge was put on my [redacted] credit card. On 1/16/2015 Lavish Skin Care charged my credit card $89.73. On 2/7/2015 I called Lavish Skin Care and talked with [redacted] and supervisor, [redacted]. They informed me that I agreed to trial the product and if the product was not returned in 14 days I agreed to pay $89.73 for the product. I understood my first order was a 14 day supply of the product. [redacted] and [redacted] told me the credit card company had called the day before and canceled the account. I called [redacted] and talked with [redacted] and she informed me that I did agree to what Lavish Skin Care rep's said. She said they get several calls regarding this company. She said the company's web site has this agreement placed in the bottom corner and in such fine print it is missed. I did not see it. She also stated [redacted] credit card company never calls a business without the customer on the phoneDesired Settlement: I would like to return the product and receive credit of $89.73. I would like the company to stop deceptive advertising.

Review: After I had bought a product in another site ([redacted]), when I landed the site, then the site have a questionaire, said that I was the lucky user, after I finished the questionaire( the questionaire for the victoria's secret), then it said I can get a product only paying the shipping fee. then I select the product. then I saw my bank card delect the shipping fee, only $4.95. because I thought it was the victoria's secret brand then I found it was not , but I thought only $4.95, then I didn't return. But after 15 days, my bank card delete $89.73. I called them, they said it was the product's price. I said I want to return, they said after 14 days I can't. but in the beginning they said only the shipping fee, not the product fee, then after 15 days to delete my bank card money then told me can't return. I think they are the real cheating ad. I am a new foreigner, this is the only cheated in USA.

moreover, when I finish this order, the site have another product page, when I click it, it changed my order. I will have another complaint.Desired Settlement: I hope they can refund me and I can return the product.

Review: I agreed to receive the product paying for shipping and receiving only. I was not made aware of any other contract agreement. They stated that an agreement in fine print was made that I had 14 days to try the product and then would be required to cancel or receive more products. No fine print was made available and no other products have been received. I checked the web site they gave me and could not pull up any information in this regard. The only thing I pulled up under their web site were some very vulgar pictures of girls under the word lavish.Desired Settlement: Desire that the charges of $89.73 on our [redacted] be deleted except of the amounts of $3.95.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

[redacted]The following is additional information regarding the above complaint. Along with this same transaction, an additional product was included with an additional shipping and receiving charge under a different company , according to the Customer Service Representative under the name ofVDO*Instant Wrinkle Eraser. I tried to enter a complaint under this company name with no success. After speaking with another Customer Service Representative, I was told that this was a sister company to Lavish Skin Care, using the same warehouse and the same mailing address. I wasunable to bring this company up on my computer to enter a complaint. The charge for this product on my [redacted] account was $88.28 in addition to the shipping and receiving charge. Again, I would like the same action to be taken to resolve this charge. I viewed the information which theyclaimed I was presented with at the time of the original acceptance of the offer and this information definitely did not appear on my computer . I would appreciate very much your taking action on this charge also. Thanks you very much for your help in this matter. Mrs. [redacted]

Review: Free Sample Trial does not assume sending and charging for additional product. False claim on product effectiveness. Scam.Desired Settlement: Stop further product delivery and refund charge for unsolicited product.

Response:

Dear [redacted],

This company seems to have many different websites. When I called to insure I wouldn't be charged the $84 or $89 the next month he started spewing off all these rules. I asked where he was getting them? He said from our website. I said I'm looking at your website and I don't see "policy's anywhere" he then said he would need to talk to his supervisor. I could hear other call takers in the background dealing with other upset callers. He came back on and said everything had been handled and cancelled. I thanked him and hung up.

That's how they take so many peoples money! All that info is on one website while the one that doesn't mention any of that is the one everyone is looking at! These companies need to be limited to ONE WEBSITE!!! With EVERYTHING listed!!!

Review: It was unclear from the online Pop up upon which I clicked that I was signing up for a subscription service at all and certainly not from two "separate" companies, each 10x the original purchase price. Multiple attempts to contact the company entities were met with messages of "your call is unable to be completed at this time" which took me outside the cancellation period. Clearly, the sister companies of Lavish Skincare and Dermabrite are less than scrupulous. They rely on new customers being taken in by deceptive claims of inexpensive skin care with subscriptions being found in the fine print, and their contact information is deliberately hard to find, and even once located, they are incredibly difficult to contact, making it easy for them to continue charging unwitting consumers. They masquerade as independent companies, but in fact my cancellation confirmation number of 4464764 ended up being the same for both companies and was in fact my order number with both companies as well! The manner in which their “customer service” operates seems predicated on the assumption that duped consumers will cancel their “subscriptions” as soon as they notice them, after their second month is billed and is too late to refund the first month’s charges. They know that their product, even unopened, is worthless, which is why they offer the “refund” of seventy five percent.

Review: Called to cancel w\in 14 day time frame. Automated service asked if I wanted to close my account to hit 1. I did this and then the automated service said I would be charged half of my order price $44.87 and the call ended. I immediately called back and asked for a customer representative. [redacted] answered and was HORRIBLE at customer service!! I'm now being charged this amount until they receive my return in the mail which is totally horrible business!! I spoke to 2 representatives who were no help and [redacted] was anything but helpful! THIS COMPANY TRIES TO BE DIFFICULT AND HAS NO CONCERN ABOUT CUSTOMERS!!!!!! Even if I DID like the product I wouldn't buy it because of how this company does business!!! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy this product!!! I told them I was going to report them to the Revdex.com and it didn't faze them!! That tells you enough to make the decision to stay away from this company!!Desired Settlement: I want to be refunded 100% now! I think its reasonable to get charged if they don't receive the return within a certain time frame but certainly not UNTIL they receive it!!!

Review: I have had the unfortunate circumstance to be charged, with out my consent, twice by two companies I have not had affiliation with: Precious Eyes Plus and the other: AVL Lxuriouskin. The first charged my debit at $88.78 and the second was charged at 89.73. Upon first notice, I cancelled my debit card and then began an investigation. The bank too, began a investigation in regards to these fraudulent charges. My bank notified me a week later that these companies had both my address and shipping info along with a shipping confirmation number but the actual company linked was Lavish Skin, apparently a parent/sister company to these other products (the second of which I could not locate on-line) On September 1st, I had sent for the free sample products from Lavish Skin Care and was billed approximately $5.00 shipping and handling for each and received both a week later, two very small topical lotion products. I have not received any further products from Lavish Skin care nor have I received any products from these other companies stated on my bank statement and feel very upset about these erroneous charges made with out my consent. It is even more unfortunate that since it took me a a few days before noticing the fraudulent charges, my bank account was overdrawn causing many fees for other bills paid on my behalf. The overdraft fees came to $540 dollars and with the accompanying fraudulent charges my account was overdrawn in the amount of $740. I believe the company to be scamming many individuals, charging people's bank accounts with out consent which is not only fraudulent but criminal, and to top it off causing many individuals a slew of undue bank fees, money that is severely difficult to just replace. What is even worse no products were sent for these alleged exorbitant charges of $90.00 each.Desired Settlement: I believe the company to be scamming many individuals, charging people's bank accounts with out consent is not only fraudulent but criminal, and to top it off causing many individuals a slew of undue bank fees, money that is severely difficult to just replace. What is even worse no products were sent for these alleged exorbitant charges of $90.00 each. I read many similar examples such as mine in regards to Lavish Skin Care here on Revdex.com, with Lavish Skin Care replying that the sample was only a trial and that it was stated that your bank would be charged $90 for each product. It must have been VERY small letters indeed. If that is the case why are you sending such small samples but charging for a full product OR why are you using false names (names of entirely different products) when you charge our bank accounts for a full product? This most certainly is a scam and you should be ashamed. I ask that I be refunded both charges back to my bank account!

Review: I have cancelled the product. I have my cancellation number [redacted]. I wanted to call their representative explaining that they are cheating by not showing that they are going to charge later after trial ends. By mistake I clicked purchase (number 1) instead of hanging the phone. Called them back explaining that it was a mistake purchase, because I have cancelled before. Representative told that he can't return the money. Not a good business practice. I did not pass my trial period.Desired Settlement: Give a new cancellation RMA code or accept old one. Review: I clicked a side link on some site, and up popped a page to receive a "free" skincare product for $4.95 , but did not see any Terms & Conditions to contact them within 14 days to stop the **tomatic subscription renewal of $89.73/month. When I was referred to the web order form by customer service on those Terms from www.trylavishskin.com, I do see it, but it was different from the page from which I ordered. I called on 2/1/15 to inquire about the two unexpected charges on my credit card of $89.73 on 1/2/15 + $89.73 on 2/1/15, I was told it was too late to cancel the 1st charge, and they would refund only 75% (or $67.29) of the 2nd charge and provide no further refunds. Apparently, it wasn't "free" and "100% satisfaction guarantee" like they claim it to be, and it appeared they were avoiding to refund the rest of my disputed charges. They had no receipts or notices indicated that it was a 14-day trial, and should make this explicit in their floating pop-up links similar to how they have it on their main site. Had I known I was getting into a trial + renewal program, I would not have accepted the sample and made the order and gotten into all this trouble.Desired Settlement: Refund of $112.17 erroneously charged to my credit card (the full $89.73 from 1/1/15 + the non-refunded amount of $22.44 from 1/31/15, and no further charges from the company.

Review: Product was advertised as a trial offer paying $4.95 for shipping on 11-14-14. On bank statement received in 12-13-14 I was charged 89.73 additionally. I contacted them 3 times on 12-15-14 to have them return the 89.73 to my checking account which they took without my consent. They failed to inform me there was a 14 day cancellation. No where I see this.Desired Settlement: Refund of my 89.73 to my account.

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Review: I purchased Lavish skin cream as a 14 day sample no commitment. I deliberately purchase skin care products this way because I tend to have a reaction to most products. This way I don't pay for expensive creams that irritate my skin. I was worried I was going to be charged for the cream due to another one I purchased the same way. That company did give me an adjustment. On 7/19 I called Lavish Cream. I was told I would be billed 89.73. I called 1 day too late. I let them know I was not aware of that. I told them I purchased the product with the idea of no commitment because of my skins reaction to creams. I was told I agreed to this. I let them know I would never agree to that due to my skins reaction and it was not in the advertisement. The associate offered me a 50% refund which was ok'd through his supervisor [redacted]. I wanted to speak to the supervisor and was to call in 1 hour. When I called again, [redacted] was busy but the associate [redacted] said he was a supervisor and said it was there policy that I agreed to and couldn't give my a refund. After a lot of going back and forth, I was afforded a 35% refund and some Lavish Skin Cream to give as a gift. I let them know I wanted a 100% refund. The policy they said I agreed to was the only writing on the site that in very lite grey and so small would not it would not even make an eye chart. I had to search the site for this. I wanted someone above [redacted] and was told to call tomorrow. I called again on 7/21 and was told I cant speak to anyone above a supervisor. They do not speak to customers. I was told about the policy again. I went to the site with the associate on the phone and it was totally different from what I pulled up on 7/19. I was told it was my fault because I agreed to the terms and conditions when I ordered. This was not on the site I ordered from.Desired Settlement: I am looking for a refund for 89.73 that I was billed for on my credit card.

Review: I called this company and spoke to [redacted] on 2/26/15. She insisted the information and terms were on the advertisement on the internet.

I looked very carefully for any further charges and did not find any on any of the pages I read, so I ordered the item. Again [redacted]

insisted the charges were in the ad, but never mentioned what page they were on when I asked her. The charges after the 14 day free

trial were not on the first page of the ad, as they should have been; that way no one could possibly overlook the future cost after the

14 day free trial.

It is very deceiving not showing the charges after the 14 day free trial on the first page of the ad. The $89.73 if once seen by most

people would not order the free trial. Then [redacted] said they would not refund my money and hung up on me.

I called back a second time and spoke to Francis and he told me they would not refund my money either.

Once again I called and spoke to a shift manager Debra, and she kept arguing with me that terms and conditions were in the ad and would

not refund my money. At no time did anyone I spoke to tell me what page the terms and conditions were on, and I asked.Desired Settlement: I feel my $89.73 should be refunded because this companies business practices are deceiving & underhanded.

Regards,

Review: I saw an ad online offering free samples of two different cosmetic creams (only charge was shipping). I thought I'd try the product since it only cost a few dollars for shipping. I received the free samples and then didn't give much thought about them.... UNTIL I was checking my bank account statement and saw charges of $88.28 for Derma Bright and $89.73 for Lavish Skin. I called Lavish Skin immediately, and they said I should have read the (long) terms and conditions section print, because what I actually purchased was an on-going subscription that charges this (high) amount on-the-regular. I had checked the advertisement OVER and OVER, and it didn't say anything about this. The advertisement only advertised the idea of trying out a free sample of the Derma Bright and Lavish Skin cream. It also said NO RISK upon paying the minor shipping charges.

Not only did I get charged these two $89 fees for a subscriptions that I was tricked into purchasing, but I also NEVER even received the shipments / boxes of cream I unwillingly paid for. I still only have the free-samples (and haven't opened them). I do not even want the shipments after learning of the fraudulent ad. I was so offended, I wouldn't touch their products. If that's the way they treat their customers, imagine how they treat their products / ingredients. They can't be good for you!

I tried twice to get the charge taken off my account by calling Lavish Skin care (Derma Bright is next), and they refused. The first time, I called and was on hold for quite a while, and then spoke to someone, and explained my story, but then got disconnected. The second time, after seeing the charges were still on my account, I called back and after a series of unexplained LONG hold times, and being transferred to three different reps who clearly didn't want to be the person assigned to my case, I got in touch with the supervisor. The most she could offer me was 35% off. I turned down her offer, and came to Revdex.com instead.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund. I was mislead by the joint Lavish Skin Care / Derma Bright advertisement and feel the companies should be investigated in regard to ethics and other misleading ads they may have run. There are complaints ALL OVER the internet (ripoffreport.com), and so I know that others have experienced the same issue. $89 for a FREE sample (combined total is close to $200 if you count DermaBright's charge) is a lot to pay, especially for my current financial state, and I would like that money back so I can spend it on more trust-worthy companies or on life's essentials, like food, rent, and other necessities.

Regards,

Review: I found out on my debit card that they had charged me 89.73. I had just received my trial 15ml bottle. I called their support number and talked with a representative. I told her that I only had the small trial bottle and had already paid for that. I told her about the second charge on my account . I requested a refund. She said "Oh no mam, we can't do that" I just hung up. I was just so frustrated.Desired Settlement: I want the 89.73 refunded to my debit card.

Business

Response:

Dear [redacted],

very deceptive business practices! I got my sample and two weeks later they charged my account $ 89.73. I stopped that charge and canceled everything with them and two days later they hit my account again. Even though I had a cancellation number they weren't sure what they could do. Finally said they would refund waiting for the refund
