Lavish Skin Care Reviews (296)

Review: I purchased trial offers of 2 face creams advertised as being used by movie stars and promoted by [redacted], for shipping costs of $4.95 & $3.95 only. They are supposed to make my skin look many years younger. How could I go wrong with a 14 day supply for less than $10?

Low and behold the companies: [redacted] (aka [redacted]) & Lavish Skin Care both at [redacted], charged my credit card the amounts of $89.73 & $88.78. I called the customer service # on 11/30/15 to say I had never even opened the packages and wanted to return them for credit. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and cannot afford such extravagances.

Customer service said that I could return them but no credits would be issued. She also told me that it was a monthly subscription! Representing only [redacted] she did credit my account $44. 40 and cancelled the subscription--confirmation # [redacted]. I have not been able to reach Lavish Skin to request a cancellation and refund.

I want to return the products for full refunds and would much appreciate your help, please. Thank you.

This is a despicable way of doing business!Desired Settlement: Full Refunds and all subscriptions cancelled.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Review: The company pairs with Lavish Skin to scam women out of cash. If you do not cancel within 14 days they charge you $88.78 per product (they send two items together - Lavish Skin & Neudermis.) If you cancel with one, it doesn't cancel with the other one, which they do not tell you when you cancel. They also won't refund your full payment, only a partial one. I paid the full first month 89.73 and $21.20 (they gave me a $66.58 refund on the second month) to the Lavish Skin division. They refuse to accept returns or give a full refund. I caught the Neudermis (Beauty Face) charge on the first month and cancelled but was still charged $22.43 as they won't let you return a product for a full refund. I offered to return the unopened product at my expense, but they refused a full refund on either product. Total lost DLUXESKIN (product is Lavish Skin) is $110.93. Total lost with BeautyFace is $21.43 for a net loss of $132.36.Desired Settlement: I would be happy to return all the products at my expense for a full refund of $132.12.

Review: On 5/30/15, I replied to an ad for a free trial offer for lavish skincare cream. The ad clearly said that it is a FREE trial with no commitments; only a postage fee of $4.95 would be charged. However, on 6/13/15 I was charged a "continuity subscription" fee of $89.73. I called Lavish Skincare on 7/8/15 and spoke with [redacted] explaining that there was no commitment and that this is a scam. In response, he offered me a partial credit of $67.70 which I refused as I am due the entire amount.

Lavish Skincare alleges that before customers commit to our 14 day free trial, customers have to affirm and acknowledge the terms & conditions for the autoship program by marking the T&C check-boxes. These T&C boxes are indeed on their website. However, the ad that consumers is responding to DOES NOT state these terms or conditions. The ad actually says "14-Day Trial. No Commitments!". I kept screen shots of the ad that clearly show NO mention of or agreement with these terms and/or conditions. I can provide these screen shots [redacted]Desired Settlement: Credit Card Refund in the amount of $89.73.

Review: I was on the redbox website reserving movies and a survey popped up to take for their site. I participated in it and at the end of it it gave me a choice of 1 of 3 free gifts in which all I would need to pay for was the shipping and handling. So needless to say normally I don't do these but for some stupid reason today I did and chose this Lavish skin cream. and it said as you a receiving our free gift for participating in the survey all you need to do is pay$4.95 for the shipping and handling. So I clicked on it and entered my name, address and bank information (debit Card Number) and then it also gave me the option to get a container of Derm a bright cream for an additional $3.95. I received the sample bottles 9 days later. I never opened them they are still unopened. When I opened the boxes there were no paperwork or anything in there stating it was a so called trial offer and had to be cancelled within 14 days. On the morning of 11/26/14 I received a call from the fraud unit of my bank asking me if I made these purchase from Wrinkle for $88.28 and from Elegant for $89.73 and I said no because I didn't know who or what it was. I later found out that this Lavish Skin is the Wrinkle and Derma bright is Elegant. I called both compaines and talked to a guy named Ray at Lavish and he said I joined a free trial and had to cancel it by 12:00 am 11/25/14 and same with the other company I explained to both of them that I purchased these samples as a free gift for donig the survey. Needless to say neither one of them would refund the money into my account that was taken at 8:00am on 11/16/14. I have not recieved any product from eithr company and had I have known this was going to be a trial I would not have done it to begin with. I don't think that it's not right that they use 2 different company names for the same products and I should not have to pay for them. I cancelled all further transactions and still wasn't given a confirmation number they were cancelled.Desired Settlement: I would just like to have the monies put back into my checking account because I didn't have no money in there to begin with and now I have to pay $22.00 over draft fees for each transaction. I am disabled and live on $730.00 a month for rent and bills. I am on oxygen and can not be stressed out cause it makes it worse on my breathing and worrying about where I am going to come up with this money for a product I don't even have. I wasn't sure what to put for desired settlement because it was a debit card. I have cancelled my card and it is longer able to be used but they can contact the bank with my name and old debit card number and it will be taken off my account except the overdraft fees unless they will pay for them also which would be nice. I learned my lesson and will NEVER do anything online again. I really hope you can help me with this matter as I am not the only one who has complained againest the same company.

Dear [redacted],

Review: On August 10, 2015, $89.73 was charged to my debit card when I ordered a "free" sample of face moisturizer. I cancelled the order on Sept, 1st.. I received an e-mail stating that my "subscription" was cancelled. On October 15th I sent a letter asking for a refund as the 'Subscription" was cancelled and they had not sent me anything but the "free" sample. I have not heard from anyone nor has a refund been issued.

Regards,

Review: Upon completing a customer service survey with a company that I do patron, I was notified that I was eligible for a free product with a $4..95 charge for shipping and handling free. Being as it was the result of a survey, the terms and conditions were not clearly presented and an unauthorized charge was debited from my account. Upon speaking with a Customer Service Representative, [redacted] notified me that I had two weeks in which to cancel my subscription. The free product was advertised as "free." The charge to my account was for the free trial, thereby not actually being free. [redacted] conveyed that the charges would continue with additional product being sent. Therefore, I cancelled the subscription and notified him that in participating in this survey, the terms were not set forth. In reviewing my emails, the confirmation did not include any terms and conditions. Upon asking for the website address, [redacted] could not clearly verbalize the address (trylavishskincare.com). After multiple mistakes, [redacted] was able to provide the correct address. I communicated that I would be returning the product and asked for the address and if it should go to someone's attention. The response was that it should go to "Lavish Skin" with not particular department of individual.

A cancellation email was sent subsequent to my conversation on 1/20/15. The email was sent on 1/20/15 at 1:46 a.m. MST. However, the cancellation date read, "Ordered on 01/17/2015 02:44am." Clearly this was not correct. Again, no terms and conditions were presented. I filed a fraudulent claim with my bank, and will return the product.

Had I sought out the product, the terms and conditions were presented on the website, However, this was done through a different mannerism (e.g. survey) and therefore a fraudulent charge.Desired Settlement: [redacted] (my banking institution) has been made aware of this. A refund to them is requested as they are absorbing this burden. Additionally, advertisement regarding these unethical practices should be clearly stated. This would serve to benefit future individuals.

With thanks, [redacted]

Review: I was ordering Christmas presents on the Kohl's website. A survey popped up promising a gift valued at $85 if I completed the survey. I completed the survey and received a notification that the gift would be sent but I would have to pay shipping in the amount of $4.95. I put in my credit card number and it not only charged me $4.95 but also another shipping charge from this company which I did not even agree to. Then on 12/17/14, my MasterCard account was charged in the amount of $89.73 and $88.28 and was allegedly a recurring monthly charge for cosmetics. I think the charges are from the same company but they try to make it appear that they are different and both are located in Santa Ana, CA. I tried to contact them about credit to my accounts but as soon as you input your identifying information, a recording comes on that says you have cancelled your order and then disconnects the call.Desired Settlement: I want the charges in the amount of $89.73 and $88.28 refunded to my account. I have not received the products they allegedly shipped to me and that I did not order or authorize to be charged to my account.

Lavish Skin care Is not for everyone! I burned my face esp. the eye area! The Neu Dermis cream is nothing special, either

The company who manufactures these products also have very deceptive practices. I was lured to their internet offer of "risk-free trials -just pay for shipping".

I ordered only the free trials.

I received the 2 products separately .After 2 weeks I was shocked to see in my credit card statement charges for $ 89.00 and $88.00 respectively for the items. I immediately called the tel. nos. appearing on the charges . The Lavish rep refused to give me a refund but agreed to cancel future orders . The NeuDermis Rep agreed to give me 50% refund along with a cancellation of future deliveries. The rep claimed that the trial products were actually good for 1 month use and they had indicated that after 14 days of trying the products, the customer would be billed for the full amount. (I do not recall seeing these stipulations at all)! Is there a law against these practices?

Review: Misleading advertising of 'free trial' for Lavish. The 'Terms and Conditions' 'for the free trial were not stated on the order form that you complete. I was charged $88.78 after their '14 day free trial'. I carefully looked for any 'conditions' to the free trail and could not find it. When I called the best I could get was a 75% refund of my money. The customer service phone contact on the website was not for the company.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the full amount that I was charged for the product. Bill Payment #391370 for $88.78. The company has multiple different websites.

Dear [redacted],

Review: Hi! I saw an advertisement on Facebook about their face cream product. Customers were to be charged &4.99 for shipping only for the two bottles. They have charged my credit card $89.00. Also I keep getting the products in the mail and have sent them an email to stop and also sent the package back through postal service sating "did not order refuse package". I am very worried because they have my credit card information. Please help me get a refund and stop others from being ripped off! This is awful! Review: unable to await the acoustomary time period for refund, I contacted lavish skin care by phone as per their request. Only to be told they would refind me 65% of the total credit card charges of $88.28 and $89.78 .

They told me that when ordering their free samples I had agreed by marking a box to their policy if automatic charge and processing products for the above amounts. This I do not ever recall doing.

My correspondence with this company will be ongoing until resolved, hopefully with the Revdex.com assistance .

I notice that my complaint is not the first with lavish skin, others have experienced the exact same problem.

I have never spent $88.28 on 'instant wrinkle eraser' nor $89.73 on 'deluxe skin' previously and do not anticipate to in the future. The price is just too preposterous for an unnamed brand.

I feel insulted that the company would even suggest paying me 65%, just because I cancelled all orders and failed to request refund .My cancelled confirmation numbers are--[redacted] and [redacted] given me when I called March 20 2015Desired Settlement: I wish it be refunded 100%

Review: I requested a trial offer of a skin care product and discovered I was being charged $85.73 after the trial period. IAfter calling the company I was told I had to cancel b y 2 weeks or charges would be incurred. The product wasn't received until Dec.17th. I didn't know there was this stipulation about cancelling within 2 weeks . As it turns out my cancellation occurs on the 31st of December, which happens to be 2 weeks, but they say the 2 weeks begin on the day of the order, which was Dec 11th. I looked o nline at their form and after much difficulty and scrolling, I saw the fine print regarding their. terms. I don't think it's ethical to offer a . 2 week trial period and start it before you receive the product. Also online, there was another com[plaint identical to mine about this company. These kinds of deceitful practises should be banned and the public should be made aware of such shady practises.Desired Settlement: Credit for me and warning to this company and many others that are scamming the unsuspecting consumers. This kind of deceitful business should be investigated

Regards,

This company is built to rip people off. Their ads about 'just pay shipping and handling' are a fraud. They claimed they had free samples, just pay shipping and handling, then they started billing my visa without notifying me each month. I never ordered anything else, at all. I hope everyone pays attention before they deal with a company like this. Lavish Skincare is built to just to steal all your money from right under your nose. Their products aren't even worth bothering with.

Review: This company advertised that **. ** recommended their skin care cream and you could try a sample for $4.95. I ordered it on 2/11/14 and my card was charged the correct amount. Then on 2/25/14 I was charged $89.73 on my card. All I ever received was the sample. I am attempting to cancel everything with these people. It is very difficult because they show no web address. This was a BIG rip off. Very deceiving. Very upset with the price and that they have attached themselves to my credit card. I want a refund and I want them reported for very shady business practices.Desired Settlement: I want the $89.73 taken off my credit card and I do not want any further business with these people. I think they have already been reported at RipOff. Truly they do not have good business practices.

Review: ON 12/5/2014 WHEN FINALIZING AN ONLINE PURCHASE AT Macy's, I WAS OFFERED A FREE TRIAL OF LAVISHSKINCARE WHICH CLEARLY STATED NO COMMITMENT (DON'T KNOW HOW THIS WEBPAGE APPEARED) .ONLY SHIPPING CHARGE OF $4.95 WAS DUE. THIS WAS CHARGED TO MY [redacted] ON 12/5/2015 AND SHORTLY THEREAFTER I RECEIVED THE FREE TRIAL ITEM. NO OTHER CONDITIONS WERE STATED.

TO MY SURPRISE, ON 12/20/2014, MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED $89.93 BY LAVISHSKINCARE. I DISPUTED THE CHARGE VIA MY BANK. THE BANK REVERSED THE CHARGE IMMEDIATELY.

ON 1/19/2015 I WAS CHARGED AGAIN $89.93 BY LAVISHSKINCARE. I DISPUTED THE CHARGE AGAIN WITH MY BANK.

AROUND 1/27/2015 I RECEIVED AN UNSOLICITED PACKAGE FROM LAVISHSKINCARE WHICH THEY MAILED FROM CALIFORNIA ON 1/21/2015. THIS PACKAGE IS STILL SITTING UNOPENED IN MY HOUSE. UPON REQUEST, I WILL RETURN IT TO THEM IF THEY PAY THE MAIL CHARGES.

LAVISHSKINCARE NOW CLAIMS THAT WHEN I SIGNED UP FOR THE FREE TRIAL I SIGNED UP FOR A MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION OF THEIR PRODUCT AT A MONTHLY COST OT $89.93. THIS WAS NEVER MADE CLEAR TO ME. THEIR WEBSITE ADVERTISES A FREE TRIAL AND IS TOTALLY UNCLEAR ABOUT THIS UNDERLYING SUBSCRIPTION AND IS MISLEADING TO SAY THE LEAST. LAVISHSKINCARE IS OBTAINING THESE SUBSCRIPTIONS VIA FALSE & MISLEADING FREE TRIAL ADVERTISING WITHOUT CLEARLY SPELLING OUT WHAT IS BEING SURREPTITIOUSLY AND COVERTLY SOUGHT WHICH IS AN $89.93 MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION TO THEIR PRODUCT (ALL IN VERY SMALL PRINT AND UNREADABLE TO ELDERLY PEOPLE). THEY NEVER REQUESTED MY EXPRESS CONSENT FOR THE MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION WHICH CLICKS IN AFTER 14 DAYS.

3- ALL CONDITIONS UNDERLYING FREE TRIAL SPELLED OUT CLEARLY AND IN SAME SIZE TEXT AS FREE TRIAL TEXT ITSELF

4- THIS MISLEADING ADVERTISING SHOULD BE IMMEDIATELY STOPPED AS OTHERS WILL ALSO BE AT RISK

Review: These companies are sister companies and are running a fraudulent offer through Facebook. I unfortunately fell victim to their offer thinking I was getting 2 "free" products for only shipping and handling. No where in the main body of the ad did it state this was a trial and that the shipments would be recurring unless cancelled. Since I did not cancel they charged me a total of 177.73 in December. Unfortunately I did not catch that but have been advised it was for the 2 "free" trials...each no more than 3 ounces each!...Then today I was notified that my bank account was overdrawn due to these charges being deducted again for the next shipment. Again, one bottle each....no more than 3 ounces. I immediately called my bank and reported fraudulent activity...now I have to destroy my debit card and wait for a new one plus notify all of my legitimate recurring charges of the new debit card. I then called Derma Bright at [redacted] and was told that the package had not shipped and they would refund the current charges. I then called Lavish skin at [redacted] and was told that the package had shipped and I have to get an RMA when it arrives, mail it back at my expense AND pay restocking.. No supervisors are available at either location. I see by research that these 2 companies have been accused of deceptive trade practices in the past and just close down and change their names. I am a senior citizen, disabled on a fixed income. Please look into this as they are not forthcoming in their ads. I feel a suitable resolution would be a full and complete refund of all monies I have paid these companies in December and JanuaryDesired Settlement: complete refunds of all monies paid in December and January

Dear [redacted],

Review: I responded to an online advertisement for a FREE trial of two skin care products. All I needed to do was pay postage. The add read CLICK HERE TO BUY YOUR FREE TRIAL OFFER> toward the bottom it read 100% guarantee satisfaction I used a credit card to pay $3.95 for the [redacted] and $4.95 for the LAVISH SKIN. I received the two 0.50oz items. these items were paid for on my April credit card statement. I was not impressed by the products and put them aside after all they were small FREE samples for me to try. I tried them in good faith and they did not work as expected.

Now I get my credit card statement for June. It has four unauthorized charges on it. Two dated 24 April one for $88.28 for (foreveryourskin) one for $89.73 for (instantskinrenewal) and two for May 25 in duplicate of the April 24 charges for a total of $356.02

I call the number for both companies and get the exact same response. I am now being billed full price for the sample FREE items and I am being billed this full price every month for the automatic delivery I am now a part of.

At this point I am shocked I have two 0.50 oz of Free samples that they want me to pay $356.02 for. I have not received anything else from them since I had received the FREE samples that I had paid $3.95 and $4.95 for.

when I ordered the FREE trial. I did not know that I would be locked into auto shipping or that I would be paying $88.28 and $89.73. for these products. [redacted] has E-mailed me that they would refund $88.28 because they had not shipped yet. No refund for Free sample Lavish skin will not refund anything and a shipment is in transit that I intend to refuse. Lavish skin said if I ship this item back on my dime when I get it they might return some of the $89.73 READING THEIR ADDS YOU SEE THAT IF YOU PAY THE POSTAGE YOU WILL GET THESE ITEMS TO TRY FOR FREE Now I see the ILLUSION AND DECEPTION after looking through their may addsDesired Settlement: These companies are tricking and deceiving. Why would a reputable company have to resort to these kind of business practice. After examining their many adds I can find the large eye catching print and the illusions and the deliberate very tiny gray colored print that is easily missed that says contact them after 14 days or you will be billed $88 or $89

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

My story is similar to the previous negative reviews. Unfortunately I ordered two separate products and was charged an additional $89.00 each. They refused to accept any returns, and I didn't receive even a fraction of the amount back. Never again!

This was an expensive lesson.

Review: I was on the AOL website on 7/21/2015 when I saw an add that was endorsed by Dr. ** that was 100% guaranteed and you could get a month free trial for $4.95 for shipping only. It did state that results weren't guaranteed unless you use both creams. I filled out the order form which states "RUSH FREE TRIAL", then changed my mind because I had not found any information about signing up for a subscription if you don't cancel within so many days which at the worst would be 30 because it stated "30 day FREE TRIAL". This made me suspicious so I then hit the close X button. Lo and behold, up pops another box for the same product for only $2.95. I decided to then go ahead and order it thinking at the worst case I had 30 days after receipt to cancel. I printed the only order form for 2.95 from Lavish skin. The next day Lavish skin confirmed that it was shipped by email. ON 8/29/15 I RECEIVED 2 SEPARATE BOXES in the mail which I THOUGHT WAS ODD. T went on vacation the next week and when I returned home I checked my Discover card and noticed that I had been billed 89.73 and 88.78 on my discover card 0n 8/4/2015, not even one week after receiving the FREE SAMPLES. I also noticed that I HAD BEEN BILLED AN ADDITIONAL 3.95 when the products were shipped. The products actually made my face break out which never happens anymore since I am 58 years old. The products came from the same P.O Box 25380 Santa Ana CA 92799. I called Lavish Skin care -#1-877-637-4555 AND SPOKE TO A CUSTOMER SERVICE REP WHO JUST KEPT REITERATING that the " 2 WEEK Free TRIAL PERIOD" WAS CLEARLY STATED AND THAT YOU COULD NOT order the product until you clicked on the button approving these terms for a 2 week trail period and then subscription for 89.73 if not cancelled. She was very rude and did not want to hear anything you had to say. She also totally denied the other product being theirs. I have searched the aol adds posted for that day and found it. No resolution found. They advt under different names.Desired Settlement: I want total reimbursement to my credit card of all fees except for the agreed 2.95. This company is guilty of false advertisements and advertises using the same add each day with different product names. I have researched and have found many people have fallen for their schemes. Even if you did agree to a subscription after a 2 week free trial if not cancelled,, I was billed only 6 days after receiving the products. They never even give you a change to cancel before they bill you. When I brought this up to them they said that it is from the date ordered and you were clearly advised to contact them if the products aren't received within 4 days to extend your trail. There is no such information on their website or order form. There is no free trial of this product and they need to be removed from being able to advertise like this. Dr. ** needs made aware of their practices and so does AOL. Thank you so much for you consideration in this matter.

Sincerely,
