Lavish Skin Care Reviews (296)

Review: I ordered the trial sample and paid the shipping charges billed to my credit card. Unexpectedly, several weeks later I received an unwanted, unordered shipment of the same two products again. By this time the company had billed my credit card twice for each item, totaling $357.02.

I immediately wrote them requesting a full refund per their website's 100% money-back satisfaction guarantee and cancelling any shipments, as well as notifying them I will contact the Revdex.com and the Attorney General's Office. I inserted each letter in the boxes and returned them by mail to the P.O. Box in Santa Ana where they had come from.

I had thrown the trial samples away as they had made my skin red, blotchy, lumpy and swollen where applied.Desired Settlement: Full refund of the charges to my credit card.

Dear [redacted],

Review: I am an 82 yr. old. woman and I get on the computer on occasion. Well I noticed a product called Lavish Skin and I noticed the price of $4.95 for a free trial, which the shipping and handling was included. I gave them my debit card number for the $4.95 and I thought that was it, I was getting a skin care product for $4.95. Until I received my bank statement and there was a charge of $89.73 and I was frantic. I didnt know what to do. I was scared because I live on a fixed income and I definitely cant afford to pay $89.73 for a beauty product. I really feel like they took advantage of me. I need help.Desired Settlement: I just want the company to take the $89.73 off of my checking acct.

Review: This company advertises "free" samples of their product however, it is not free. They claim that a consumer only has to pay for shipping and handling however, I was subsequently billed 89.73 without my consent. Their advertising is misleading and I do not recall accepting the condition that I would be billed almost $90 for a sample product. Also when I contacted them on 2/10/2015, I was advised that I could not request a refund because I was past the allotted 14 day trial period. My records (and bank statement)indicate that I placed this order on 1/28/15 which means that I had until 2/11/2015 to cancel the transaction. However, they're informing me that their records indicate that my order was placed on 1/26/2015. This is not possible since my bank statement also supports the date of my transaction.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund.

Review: I purchased what I thought was a free trial of some skin care products. The ad said that I was only to pay shipping and handling which I did. Upon reviewing my bank statement today, I found 2 charges totaling 177.01. I contacted the phone number associated with the charge and was connected to Lavish Skin Care. A man calling himself "[redacted]" said that I did not do what I was supposed to do and cancel the account in 14 days. It was a 30 day trial period. I told him that his ad was deceptive and I believed his company was a scam. He told me I was rude. I told him that rude was to have money taken out of my account by them for something that I didn't order. He offered me a 50% refund, which I told me would be a good start but that I would not waive my rights to a full and total refund which I believe I am entitled. I requested contact information on the Corporate Offices including a working phone number, he provided me with the address but the phone number brought me back to the Cal. phone center. When I called back I spoke to a lady who identified herself as [redacted]. She just as much called me a liar saying that the records do not show that I called in and spoke with [redacted]. I explained my reason for calling, she called me rude and hung up. Since both employees stated to me that I was rude ( which I wasn't but did have the right to be), I suspect them to somehow think that its ok then to steal 177.01 from my bank account.Desired Settlement: I am not seeking a refund of the shipping and handling charges that I paid. I am however, requesting a 100% refund of the 177.01 charges that were removed from my account on 12/3/14.

Dear [redacted],

Review: There is a [redacted] video going around and the video is also on some other websites. On [redacted], a photo is shown with the caption about getting rid of undereye shadows and undereye bags. The most recent photo showed grapefruit and came from some FB pet page. Click on the link and there is a video of a woman applying the said product under her eyes. She continues to talk and while she is talking, the bag and shadow under one eye disappear. Click on the link and another website shows you how to get a free trial for the AMAZING price of $4.95. I fell for it not once but twice. Received skin care products from 2 different manufacturers. One is Lavish Skin Care. After reading some other comments on FB, my suspicions were confirmed. That the main reason for this introductory free trial was to get my financial information and then send further shipments at an exorbitant price. Most of the complaints Revdex.com has received are in regards to this. This was a free trial with NO commitment for further purchases. I do not know how they got the effect of that woman's eye appearance improving unless through very clever editing and makeup. This company should be shamed of itself -- but then since they already have a scam in place, they obviously have no scruples or conscience.Desired Settlement: No more shipments or charges.

Response:

Dear [redacted],Thank you for notifying us about the misuse of our product advertisement. We have addressed the concerns about this video, however we feel for your discontent. We have gone ahead and cancelled your subscription, so you will only be responsible for the $4.95 initial shipping. Please feel free to still give the product a try and let us know your experience at [email protected] or you can reach our customer service team at 877-637-4555. Again, thank you for reaching out to us and sharing your concerns.Sincerely,Lavish Skin Care

Review: Called LSC call center (?) to inform them I didn't know, after ordering their product for $3 or $4 dollars, that I was on a recuring shipping cycle at the cost of $88 or $89. The rude woman told me I couldn't return the product but I knew that I could since I had just returned another product from Derma Bright (same business?) just minutes before. She ended up hanging up on me and when I called back I got the clerk (Diego) that I had just spoken with at "Derma Bright" who, although wanting to know what went down with the call between me and the LSC clerk (sitting next to each other?) until he accepted my refusal, processed my return. However, when I read back the RMA (returned merchandise authorization?)....which I intentionally read back wrong to him, he said, "yup, that's it.". This company didn't inform me that I was on a recurring delivery cycle nor did their invoice reflect what had been charged to my account....I had to check me credit card account to find out what they charged me. Very deceptive in their advertisement; never informing me of the recurring shipments/charges...and very rude "manager"Desired Settlement: The real owners of the company would be aware of the "call center" personnel's performance and retrain them in customer service. And, to have the products invoices be more detailed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Review: I ordered a sample for$4.00 in April. I did not realize they would be taking $89.73 from my bank account in May and June. I only have $600.00 a month to live on. If I had known they would be taking that amount from me, I would never have ordered the sample. There have been health issues going on with me and my Mom for some months now...I did not have a computer until June and at that time, I went on line to look at my bank account .. and saw that the money was being taken out by them (I was overdrawn and did not know why until I saw this) I contacted my bank about this. They told me I had to contact the company to get a refund since I had ordered the original sample. So I called the company but they told me it had gone past the thirty days on May's order so I could not get a refund on May. They refused to give me the return/refund information on June's order since I had not received it yet. They said to call them back later when I received the order. The order came but I did not know it had because my M om had brought the mail in and did not tell me right away. When I finally got the package, I called them to get the return/refund information, on June 27, 2014, and they refused again to give me the return/refund information and stated that two weeks had passed since I received the order and they refused to refund me. I have given this information to my bank. The lady at my bank said I had to return the order and get a tracking number to give them. I will return the two bottles on Monday, June 30, 2014, to the address on the box. was told could not return any items to that address-but will do so anyway.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of May and June orders. Also, please do an investigation of this company. I feel in my heart, that I am not the only person that they have done this to.

Review: : I responded to an online advertisement for a FREE trial of two skin care products. All I needed to do was pay postage. The add read CLICK HERE TO BUY YOUR FREE TRIAL OFFER> toward the bottom it read 100% guarantee satisfaction I used a credit card to pay $3.95 for the [redacted] and $4.95 for the LAVISH SKIN. I received the two 0.50oz items. these items were paid for on my September bank card statement. I never got a chance to try the products and put them aside after all they were small FREE samples for me to try. Then about 8 days after I received the products I get a fraud notification from my bank . It has 2 unauthorized charges on it. Two dated 25th of September 2015 one for $89.94 and one for (trydivineskincare) one for $89.73. I call the number for both companies and get the exact same response. I am now being billed full price for the sample FREE items and I am being billed this full price every month for the automatic delivery I am now a part of. At this point I am shocked I have two 0.50 oz of Free samples that they want me to pay $189.57 plus the $77.00(insufficient fund fees from my bank). I have not received anything else from them since I had received the FREE samples that I had paid $4.95 and $4.95 for them. When I ordered the FREE trial I did not know that I would be locked into auto shipping or that I would be paying $89.94 and $89.73. for these products. I spoke to a customer service and the offered me discount on future products, I asked them to cancel this contract and refund me. I said I would return the products since I hadn't used them. I was told No refund for Free sample. I let them know I wanted a 100% refund. The policy they said I agreed to was the only writing on the site that in very lite grey and so small would not it would not even make an eye chart. READING THEIR ADDS YOU SEE THAT IF YOU PAY THE POSTAGE YOU WILL GET THESE ITEMS TO TRY FOR FREE Now I see the ILLUSION AND DECEPTION after looking through their many adds.Desired Settlement: These companies are tricking and deceiving. Why would a reputable company have to resort to these kind of business practice. After examining their many adds I can find the large eye catching print and the illusions and the deliberate very tiny gray colored print that is easily missed that says contact them after 14 days or you will be billed $89 Be aware of fine print

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

Review: Through a survey, they offer the product as a gift and mentioned only to pay for the shipping cost. However, after 14 days, they charge my credit card for the full price of the product. There is no fine print indicated on their order email confirmation beside the shipping charges. There is not even contact number or website indicated on the order confirmation mentioned anything about calling them to cancel or returning the product within 14 days or I will be charged for the full amount of the product. When I tried to call them after obtaining the number from my bank credit card, they said that I should have read the fine print and they are not going to refund me. They even threaten that even if I put a dispute through my bank on the credit card charges, I am not going to get my money back unless I pay for postage and return the product to them. They are not even going to send me a email with RMC label for me to return the item. Good thing is, I still have the so called trial product still in the box which was suppose to be my reward from submitting the survey. Can't imagine if I have open up the item. This is a total scam and it is not a fair business deal. I hope nobody else will fall into this so called " A reward to thank you for your effort to help company to improved service better by doing a survey"Desired Settlement: Not only they should refund the charges, they should also refunds all the postages and not just demand for the products to be mail back and threaten if I don't sent back and absorb the postage charges, there is no refund. This is a total mental stressed for me.

Review: I read through the terms and conditions and didn't see that I have to call within 14 days to cancel nor that they will charge me $89.73 nor they will keep sending me the product nor I have to call them 7 days before the shipment to cancel. Ordered lavish on the 8/9/15 and got charge full price on the 24th. When they sent me the lavish they also sent me neudermis that I didn't order and nothing in the document accompanying the product that says I have to do any of the above to cancel. Didn't want it, didn't open it, shoved it under the sink. Also got charged $88.73 for it. Got charged again on 10/20/2015 for both. Call # for Lavish, on hold for 15 min, when I got somebody, told her I would like to cancel and I don't want the product and I want a refund of the money that they just taken. Was told all sales are final. I argue and she offered me 75% off on future purchases, told her I want a full refund of the last charge and will return the product when I get it. Was told she can't do that but she can offer me 35% off I argued some more saying that any decent business will provide refund for something a customer do not want. Getting really frustrated just wanted it done so I said yes for the lavish. I called the other number for neudermis and lo and behold I talk to the same person I just got done talking to. I made the argument that I didn't order it why did they send it and why am I getting charged $88.78 for it. She said I was supposed to call and ask about it. Offered me 35% for future purchases. Said no I want a full refund. I said she tricked me bec she was the same person I talked to about lavish. Gave me an RMA # to return the neudermis for full refund. I said I want the same for the lavish she said no the account has been resolved. I'm willing to let them have the first $89.73 for the lavish not because I believe they are right, I should have known better. But they deceived me and I want full refund of both neudermis charges and the last lavish charge.Desired Settlement: full refund for the second charge of $89.73 for the lavish.

full refund of the two charges for the neudermis (a total of $177.56) because it was a deception.

Lavish Skin Care has a very poor product AND unethical business practices. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM.

I responded to an ad for their lotion for $3.95 which came in a plain box with a poor excuse for a shipping label-no company information. I looked because I wanted to call and make sure I had not subscribed to anything. The lotion is thin and watery and burns ones eyes. After 1 use, I discarded.

The following month I was billed $89 for the lotion with NO number on the credit card bill. I was told it was a trial and if I had called within 14 days, they would have closed my account. As it was, she could refund half of the $89! So I learned an expensive lesson, but you may be sure I will tell everyone I know.

Review: I ordered a trial of the lavish skin products, 2 of them for the shipping cost of $4.95 each. I received the products but was unaware that you had to cancel with in 2 weeks. I do not recall seeing that. I called them on day 16 to ask why they took the money out without my knowing it. I still had the products, untouched so I told them I would return them for a refund. They said it would take 14 days after they received the products. I priority shipped them to get them there faster. I am still waiting for my $188.71 refund. I did track the return and they did get them.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund.

Review: On June 18, 2015 I saw an advertisement on TV for a trial sample of skin care that would smooth out winkles for $3.95. So I ordered it and while I was at their site , there was an additional add for a trail sample of eye cream for $4.95. I ordered both and gave my credit card number. When I opened the small box I found a small bottle of.50 fluid oz. of Lavish skin care and the second box contained a small jar.50oz of [redacted] cream. There was a small piece of white paper in the box that essentially said here was my trial sample. I was looking for directions of which there were none except in very small letter on the containers. This past Friday , July 24th , I received my [redacted] bill and discovered I was charged $3.95 for Lavish Skin and $4.95 for the eye cream. On June 19, 2015. Looking further down my bill on July 3, 2015 I found that I was also charged $89.73 for the Lavish skin cream and $88.78 for the eye cream . By the way, I still have the boxes and they were sent from the same [redacted].I called the Lavish Skin company first and they informed me that I was charged for the trail sample if I did not return it within 14 days. I told the lady that I thought this is fraud, even the website is entitled "try sample". I offered to send it back but she said after 14 days, it was beyond the date to be returned. Finally the lady said she could cancel my account and give me a 35% refund, which I protested. Then she supposedly spoke to a supervisor and said she would refund 50%. The same exact thing happened when I called [redacted]. I consider this false and fraudulent advertising. They claimed that I has a subscription and at no time did I see anything to that effect. It is suppose to e cancelled as a result of my phone calls.Desired Settlement: I feel this was false advertising and that the companies, which are probably one, need to be more honest about their products. I also want to make sure my subscription has been voided for both items. I also am willing to return the items as they have not been opened and would like to get a100% refund of the $89.73 and $88.78.

Dear Revdex.com,

Review: I ordered product for a 14-day free trial. Two products were offered simultaneously as one order, Lavish Skin Care and [redacted]. Order was placed on 3/1/15. When products were received, order ship date was 3/2/15. Terms were "14-DAY TRIAL OFFER: In order to enroll in the 14-DAY TRIAL OFFER, you must pay a S&H fee of $4.95 for a 30-day supply. Depending on the order time, we ship the product the same day or the day after you place your order (with the exception of weekends and holidays). We allow up to 4 days for you to receive the product in the mail. " I called to cancel on 3/16/15. When I cancelled the rep did not inform me that my card had been charged for the products. My card was charged on 3/15/15 for $89.73 and $88.28. When I called I was informed that the 14-day trial began when the order was placed - 3/1/15. If they allowed for 4 days then I would have until 3/19/15. The terms were misleading and non-specific. When I spoke with a manager, [redacted] I was told that I had to call [redacted] separately. This information was never disclosed until I called. When I called [redacted], I was told that my "subscription" had been cancelled. Again misleading. My complaint is that I should not have been charged having called within the "4-day grace period. Furthermore, how could I have a 14-day trial period when I had not yet received the product to "try it?" This was my question to [redacted], mgr. who stated the trial begins when I place the order. This information was not explicit. The advertisement is misleading and ambiguous on conditions of the 14-day trial. The company's advertising practices are misleading and unethical.Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded. They can have their product back.
