Lavish Skin Care Reviews (296)

Review: I ordered the company's product from an online ad. The ad stated that all you had to do is pay for shipping. This happened on May 29, 2014. I received the product on 6/22/2014. The company stated that it charged my credit card on $89.73 on 6/12/2014. They said that in the terms and conditions, that after 2 weeks they were going to do this. I had the product only 10 days. But my biggest complaint is that this was not disclosed in plain sight in the ad. Obviously, they are trying to get people to buy their product in a devious manner or they would fully disclose these terms in the ad.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the full amount of $89.73 and my credit card credited. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Review: The link I clicked on in order to receive their skincare product for under $2 did not disclose any requirements of contacting them within 14 days to opt out of being charged the full price of 89.73. When I was directed to their webpage by customer service to verify the terms, the page looks completely different from the page I ordered from. I was very diligent when reading the pages I ordered from, and there was no mention of 14 days or $89.73. Now when I go directly to the page www.trylavishskincare.com, of course, it's all right there, you can't miss it. I cannot remember where I saw the ad, but if I can recreate the process, I will contact you. It even involved a pop-up that lures you in again with "are you sure you want to leave this page, we can cut the price in half for you today only" kind of thing when you click on the "X" to close the page. When I called to ask about the charge, I was told I failed to opt out, and could only receive a 50% refund. If I wanted to return the used product, I would have to pay shipping and handling and a restocking fee. There's no way I would ever pay $45 for half an ounce (0.5 fl oz) of anything, much less something I am dissatisfied with. They boast a 100% satisfaction guarantee on their site, as well, but they don't care about receiving the product back or refunding your money. The product did nothing for my skin, and I would return it "as is" if they would refund all $89.73. I want a refund. I want them to change the way they advertise their special skincare "program," because it was never made available to me as I clicked through the ad pages to learn more. It's not printed on the receipt shipped with the product, and it should be! Of course they hope no one sees their terms and conditions, because 14 days later, not only do they have your initial $2, they get $89.73. The terms and conditions should be shipped with the product. The receipt I got looked like I printed it off Microsoft Word at home.Desired Settlement: I want a refund. Their way of doing things is illegal and they should not be allowed to advertise products like this on the internet, then direct you to a different webpage that has different information on it. Makes consumers look like they're lying and only causes problems.

Review: This company offers an online Trial for their skin care product. They charge you just $4.95 for shipping and you receive a one month supply with which you are supposed to receive a one month trial period. However, after 2 weeks my credit card was charged $89.73 for this product. Then before I could do anything about it, they sent and charged another month's supply.

The terms aren't listed clearly on the website. The email they send you does not have the terms at all; they only have the invoice for the trial for $4.95, but fail to send any other invoices by email or shipped with the product. I only got their number from my credit card bill and call to get a refund and the customer service tech hung up on me!

Lavish has gotten many complaints about their sneaky process: [redacted]Desired Settlement: Would like a refund of $179.46 for both the trial and 2nd shipment.

Review: Company adverstised a free trial for two skincare products on the internet. Ad said just pay for shipping--about $5.00 each product. I paid with my credit card and

received the products the next week. After two weeks from the order date without notifying me, the company billed my credit card $89.73 more. This was not explained in the ad.

When I called to question them, they said this was part of the terms of the agreement which was not sent with the product!! There have been many many others who have the same complaint about this on a site called Rip-off complaintDesired Settlement: They should credit my credit card account for falsely advertising these products.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Review: I tried a trial period of Lavish skin care and Neudermis anti-aging cream. The trial was for 14 days, with an anticipated 4 days freight, allowing 10 days to try the product. The freight took 8 days, so I was unaware that I only had 6 days left to trial the product. When I was charged the full price for the product on the 16th day, I called and the customer service person with whom I spoke told me I was within my 14 day limit and could cancel the order, and my assumption, the charge. She gave me cancellation number and I asked what about my Neudermis, and she gave me a cancellation number for that too. I only found out by following up with Neudermis that my order was not cancelled. I was able to cancel future charges but this young lady cost me $90. The frustrating thing is that I ordered both from the same website, got one printout for both orders, but Lavish and Neudermis claim to not be associated with one another.Desired Settlement: While the supervisor at Lavish did give me a slight cost adjustment, the supervisor at Neudermis claims no affiliation with Lavish, and thus, cannot help me. I would have liked a cost adjustment from them as well. Instead, I am left with a $90 bottle of skin cream that does not work for me.

Review: I ordered a FREE 14-day trial of Lavish Skin Cream and there were no obligations except a $4.95 charge. I work in advertising law, and I NEVER agree to negative option situations where you have to affirmatively opt-out of being charged for future monthly charges. There were no terms and conditions regarding future automatic charges- I am certain of that and scoured the claim to make sure because this is my area of expertise- false advertising. I received the sample, plus another for Neudermis, both of which are very small. I tried them and wasn't impressed. Sometime later, I received the same small package and assumed they must have sent me another sample I didn't feel the need to contact them since, as I said before, the samples are quite small. I then received another and just realized I have 2 charges on my credit card for about $90. I called the number listed when you fill out the information for the "free trial" ([redacted]) and reached a sketchy call center that said they didn't handle the products I received. A Revdex.com investigation revealed myriad complaints against whatever company this is. I see now that there are more transparent terms and conditions and an opt-in box that one must check before ordering the sample. That wasn't there when I ordered my trial in the fall- I'd bet my life on it. Like I said, I work in this area of law. I finally got through to someone who agreed to refund my last charge. I said not good enough. Then they said they'd refund the last and half of the first. Again, I said not good enough. "[redacted] B" then agreed to a full refund. This is still a complaint because I haven't seen the refund. Also at the end of the call, "[redacted]." said the "product had been discontinued." I'm not sure why that was relevant, but I thought I'd mention it in case it affected others' situations. At the end of the day, I hate to pull the lawyer card, but I will when it hits so close to home and affects others.Desired Settlement: Total refund of $134.60

Dear [redacted],

Review: I ordered DermaBright & lavishskin samples. Before the 14 day trial was up, I called to cancel & told them I wanted to finish using the samples to see if it really works before I paid the full price. He told me he would extend my trial period for 3 weeks which would be April 23, 2015. Then on 4-10-2015 I checked my account & they had deducted almost $89 from my account. I called them, they told me 1 was extended but the other was not. Apparently there are 2 different accounts even tho she was able to cancel both today. I asked if I could get my money back & she said no! Nowhere in their ad do I see that these are 2 separate accounts. Why would I extend 1 product's trial period & not the other?? I want my money back & I want everyone to know this is another scam!Desired Settlement: I want my $88.28 refunded. I was not aware nor was I informed on the phone with customer service that I had to extend both products' trial period. I received them in the same box!

DO NOT FALL PREY TO THIS SCAM!

I paid my $4.95, got my samples and then suddenly two more products showed up at my door, and I hadn’t ordered either of them, in fact I’d emailed the company twice to take my name off all lists.

This is a scam start to finish -- they’re removing my name from the orders list, but are not returning the $89.00 they charged me for what I was told was a one time offer.I pointed out I’d emailed them twice, asking them to remove my name, but the customer service guy said there was nothing he could do! I feel like a fool, but I’ll feel better if I can stop one other person from falling for their line.

Review: I responded to an on-line offer of a free sample of a skin cream, only requiring a credit card number for shipping. I received the "free" sample but did not care for the product. Now I've received a second mailing of the product (which I do not want and did not order). I tried to call the phone number shown on the packing slip, only to be put on hold for 15 minutes (with occasional recordings of "your call is very valuable to us, please continue to hold", etc.).Desired Settlement: I do not want to receive more mailings of the product. I will not pay for them. I will return the one they sent me if they will contact me with a return address.

Review: They don't allow what they say is a ample time to return product, so essentially I paid the full amt. Shown or was taken out of my acct. So the [redacted] is why they were charging me for 1 small bottle of the cream! If nothing else come's of it I hope somehow vulnerable like myself (senior citizen) will be aware of this scam!

Thank you for your time,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: Refund remainder of purchase, o ri kept only the trial sz.

Review: This was on [redacted] which I thought to be on [redacted] it would be a legitimate company. I looked at the comments that were posted and they were positive so I signed for a 14 day free trial of their product. After the entry of the credit card information it flashed through to the finished and processed without confirmation process this was 5-30-15 it stated that it would arrive in two days, however it did not. There was no invoice just a shipping order sent to my email. The product did not come in time and then there was no invoice or instructions included in the package, which an extra item was added without my ordering. I assumed that there would be information forwarded but there was money withdrawn from my account for, a shippment, which I did not receive. Only the small samples were delivered. One amount of $89.73 the other $88.78 on 6-15-15. I called immediately and stated I did not which to continue and to credit my account. I was told that was not possible the only way I could get a full refund was if I had returned the free sample unopened. The Lady was very rude and said that I was to have called them prior to inform them of any dissatifcation. Otherewise I was to pay for the full amount for the shippment. I did not receive only a sample size of the product for 14 days. She stated if I stopped payment they would recharge the amount. It is a total scam and I am charged the amount above for samples which was to be sent for the shipping of $4.95. I went back to the ad and it was changed and the comments that were postive were negative, I was scammed and this company show the worst business practices I have ever experienced. Which I also found from the comments on the second research. Also they change the ad about every week to a differnet one. I can not be expected to pay for something I did not receive. I am filing a complaint with [redacted] also. If need be will will go to the District Attorney in Las Vegas and file a compaint to be processed.Desired Settlement: This company should be removed from advertising a product and processing it as a scam on any media outlet. No one should be subjected to such business practices and have to spend time to preserve their rights that should be protected. This company for a small sample size of a product charges the customer aproximately $200.00 for the samples. It is a very , very bad business practice to scam that amount of money. They need to be stopped from not only the lack of documentation, (no invioce) and false charges for product that is not recieved nor a valid product. It does not do as the advertisment shows. It does not work, only burns the skin which is false advertising also.

Review: In November I placed an order on-line with Lavish skin care for their 30 day trial offer. When I received their product there was no shipping/billing invoice or any instruction regarding further billing. In January I received another bottle again no shipping/billing invoice in February I received another bottle again no customer service information on a billing slip was provided.

I looked on the Revdex.com web-site and was able to attain their phone number when I spoke with Customer Service agent [redacted] she asked me if I remembered what the billing instructions were from the site. I told her of course not that was months ago and that they had provided me no way of getting in touch with them. She then explained to me that their company phone number was on the bottle. I asked her why would I look there, why don't you provide and invoice with a phone number, pricing amount and return information?

She then explained to me the bottle I had received in February was the only one that was able to be returned because it was within 14 days, I told her that was unreasonable given the only information they provide to their customers is a return address of the shipping box.

I told her I wanted to return both bottles and receive a full refund on both due to their lack of providing accurate, easily readable return information. [redacted] remained firm that they would only refund the most recent bottle. I asked to speak to her supervisor she told me she was the floor supervisor I then asked to speak to her supervisor, who she said was at corporate. I asked for that phone number she said they didn't give that number out.

I explained to her the only way I was actually able to get a phone number for them was to go through the Revdex.com.

I shop on-line all the time and with every purchase I've made their is your packing slip with the billing amount and return information. Since I have not been provided with that information I don't even know how much Im being charged.Desired Settlement: If this is their usual business practice I can't imagine Im the only person registering a complaint. It's completely unreasonable to know what their polices are if they don't provide you with that information at the time of purchase. Im not interested in keeping the cream I don't even feel it worked better than a drug store product.

All I want is my full refund on the two unused shipments they charged me for and I will gladly return their product back to them. I would like to elaborate on the nature of the complaint, they did disclose the information on the initial offer, it was an on-line pop up ad, small print but after that initial internet purchase they provided no additional return/refund information and they know they have you on this auto-refill shipping when they make it so difficult to return products. Im not actually sure what I paid it went on credit/debit card I don't get a monthly statement. This office had several complaints on on ripoff report that are similar to mine

Review: I got a popup while filling in an unrelated survey. I participated in it and at the end it gave me a choice of 1 of 3 free gifts in which all I would be charged for postage and handling only. I went for the choice of Lavish Skin Care and I have to say in this site it never mentioned this was a membership and that you will be charged later if you don’t cancel. I received the sample bottle on 12/8 and then on 12/19 I received the charge for $89.73 which I never knew I was going to get and I never received any other product. I have to say that when you go to their website, there you will see the Terms and Conditions, but they aren’t in the site when you finish the initial survey and shows your “free” gifts and nowhere will it tell you that you’ll have a charge later on.Desired Settlement: I want the charge in the amount of $89.73 refunded to my account. I received only the free trial which I accepted to pay $4.95 only but I never received anything for the $89.73 and more I was not aware that I would have another charge not because of not reading their Terms and Conditions which are not present in the site of the survey.

Review: I was taking a survey from Kohl.com website. It promised to reward kohl survey takers a reward worth up to 50.00. I thought it was coupons which I could use toward purchases at kohl or something. Instead it offers a 0 cost anti wrinkle cream from Lavish skin. The next thing I know I was scammed into paying a Shipping fee of 4.95 for a free trial of this lavish skin's anti wrinkle skin product. To my surprise, somehow Dermabright also got on board and charged my visa of 3.95 shipping. And when I call to cancel, To my surprise , I was charged another 44.14 for the cost of the product? The robotic voice was very difficult to understand. (877)379 0392. There was no option to leave message, did not tell me to call back at normal business hour....

Everything happens today. I called my credit card company, hoping to put a stop to the payment. I wanted to call Lavish skin to cancel everything but there was no phone number or address or any contact info fro Lavish skin, so I sent an email requesting to cancel the order.

I am so disgusted by what the do.

I should have reAd Revdex.com website before any future purchase. It's an eye opening.

Thank you Revdex.com for providing a mean for us to display the unlawful business practice of Lavish skin. And Derma Bright . Now I learn through your website that they share the same addressDesired Settlement: Refund the 4.95 shipping fee ( so far) from Lavish skin and 48.09 from derma bright and ask Lavish skin not to send me any product . also ask of lavish skin as well as Derma bright not to bill me for their undesired products

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Review: I ordered a sample product for which I paid $4.95 upon ordering. The product arrived but shortly there after I received

a charge to my credit card of $89.97. I immediately called my credit card company who then called LAVISH SKIN. They

sent info to my credit card company with copies of their documentation. To my knowledge there was nothing that I signed agreeing to this continuing monthly charge of $89.97. In fact the information provided on like had a picture of

Dr. Oz. endorsing the product. The info they sent my credit card company, [redacted], had dated looking pictures on it ( like the 50's hairdos etc) and I had never seen them before. If there was information about the ongoing $89.97 charge I never saw it but is buried somehow in an attempt to deceive. Upon further research, I learned it was a scam company with an "F" rating by Revdex.com with 60+ complaints. All of them followed the same pattern. I am a senior citizen and try hard to be careful of such. I should have checked with Revdex.com ahead of time. Some people lost several payments more than me so I guess I am lucky. The advertisement, their language, method of payment were all designed to scam people and get at least one big payment out of them (and not even send the product after the first sample to match the 89.97 payment they took. The info they send the credit card co. was misleading and different material than I saw. Another attempt to deceive. In order to sound like they were "working with me" they offered me a discount. I wouldn't do business with them again at a any price. It is also geared at older people ( trying to look younger) BEWARE OF LAVISH SKIN. DO "NOT" DO BUSINESS with them. If you read the other Revdex.com complaints, they all follow the same pattern. How many times does this have to happen before they are shut down?Desired Settlement: Would like the $89.97 they charged me ( and of course I received no product for that either and don't want it.)

credited back to my credit card.

Review: I attempted to book a flight on Southwest Airlines.com. I must have typed in the URL incorrectly and was directed to a website that appeared to be Southwest Airlines. It then asked if I was willing to take a brief survey and I would be given a small gift for doing so. I proceeded and agreed to pay shipping and handling of $ 4.95. This occurred on Dec 6th. On December 21st. I was charged $ 89.73. I contacted Lavish Skincare requesting a refund but they refused. I then contacted my credit card company and Capitalone to assist with my dispute. The agreed to try to help me recover my money.Desired Settlement: A refund of $ 89.73. I am willing to return the product. The product is opened but unused.

Review: I ordered a free sample and was charge $4.95 for shipping. I do not recall during the processing of the payment that it was noted ANYWHERE that my account would be charged $94.90 and that each month thereafter it would be charged again. When I call I was told that I I have to pay for a $40 restocking fee as well as a $9 processing fee. This is ridiculous.Desired Settlement: A full refund of the 2nd month for $94.90.

Review: Company was not clear in the price of product. My understanding was I would receive a trial sample for $4.95 to try, but the company sent two different full sized containers of product and I was charged two payments of $4.95. I tried the product and it did not meet the claims that bags under your eyes would disappear instantly. I used the product for a couple of weeks thinking it would take longer for me. It never met the claims. Then I received my bank statement and I was shocked to find I had been charged $89.73 and $89.94. When I called the company to complain and ask for my money back the service representative said it was past the two week trial and would not let me send the product back for a refund. That is all I request.Desired Settlement: I would just like my money back for the $89.73 and $89.94

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

The information that Lavish Skin/Nova Derm responded with did not at any time "pop up" on my screen. I was not shown any price for the product other than the $4.95. I am on a fixed income and this expensive product is not in my budget, so I would not have ever responded to this if I had known. The company cleverly disguised that portion of their online agreement. Furthermore it is very bad business to refuse full refund for dissatisfaction of their product. I am more than willing to send back the unused portion, as Lavish Skin/Nova Derm did not live up to their promise of immediate results, but I expect all of my money returned to me. I would think that the company would like to resolve this matter completely to preserve their integrity with doing business with the American public, in light of the many complaints they have received. Thank you for helping me with this matter. [redacted]

Review: I completed an online survey for the United States Postal Service. At the completion of the survey I was offered a "risk free" trial of Lavish Skin. The only thing I was required to do was to pay $1.95 in shipping costs. Upon receipt of my free trial I was notified that if I did not return the free trial within 14 days I would be charged $89.00 a month. I immediately contacted the company and tried to find out how to return the product. I was instead given the option of buying the trial for $49.00. I did not want to do this. The company is now forcing me to pay a re-stocking fee for the "free" trial. The customer service representative I worked with told me that they get a lot of these complaints and that the company does not fully disclose the terms of the free trial offer.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the restocking fee. I have no problem paying for the trial to be returned. The terms of the free trial offer were not disclosed.

Review: I purchased two products from this company. The advertisement said for $4.95 shipping charge we will send you this product. They sent it to me and I haven't even tried it yet. Today I notice on the Debit Card a charge for $89.73 appeared on my account. I would have liked to be notified when someone charges my account. I want my money back. They can have their product back. it has been unouched.Desired Settlement: I want my account credited for $89.73 I will be more than happy to send their stuff back..
