Longwood Industries, Inc a/d/b/a OnceDriven.com Reviews (714)

Review: I posted an automobile for sale listing on Craigslist and expressly stated that I did not wish to be contacted by solicitors. This business called my cell phone, which is on the National DNC list. I did not answer, yet they left a VM with, what I am assuming is a recorded message, pitching their consignment services.Desired Settlement: I want this company to adhere to the requests that are made by private sellers on Craigslist, as well as other classified ad sites. I want them to cease their data mining at once and to choose respectable sales tactics going forward, which do not involve unsolicited cold calls. I want a letter of apology mailed to my address and a confirmation of compliance to these terms.

Business

Response:

First, we'd like to sincerely apologize to Mr. [redacted] for

inconveniencing him and assure him that his number ###-###-#### will not be

contacted.

Mr. [redacted] asserts that Longwood ignored the default language that

Craigslist places on every online ad which seeks to prohibit contacting sellers

with “other commercial services or interests”. Longwood simply believes

Craigslist meant that language to apply only to random

marketers (like a credit card or home security company) scouring the

web to pitch something completely unrelated to why Mr. [redacted]

placed his contact information online in the first place. If someone's

goal is to sell a vehicle and Longwood has a viable alternative to help them achieve

that goal, we find that people are receptive. If not, we respect their wishes.

Sincerely,

Customer Service Manager

Regards,

Review: OnceDriven.com has called me three times about me giving them $200 to sell my car. It says very specifically on my advertisement "do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers" and I have to call them to get them to stop calling me.

What's more, if you do a search on OnceDriven.com you'll see a large number of people got scammed out of their $200 where they paid the company $200 and then expected a refund when the car didn't sell, but due to misleading marketing they don't actually get the $200 back. They say "pay us $200 and you'll get a refund" but you only get the refund if you sell the car before the do, not if the car doesn't sell.

This is scammy and awful and just wasting people's time and money.

Response:

Once Driven added Mr. [redacted]'s phone number listed in his complaint to its Do-Not-Call database on 7/22/2015 at 5:43 P.M. EST. and will not be contacted again. Once Driven apologizes for any inconvenience.Sincerely,[redacted]Customer Service Manager

Review: I am selling a vehicle on [redacted], I provided my number so potential buyers can contact me easier. When creating the post I selected that it was NOT OK for 3rd parties to contact me about products and services. This company or as I know it www.oncedriven.com found my post and simply just took my number down and has now been contacting me about their third party seller service for around $200 dollars. Since they are a 3rd party they totally disregarded my wishes and I am not for certain for sure but I am pretty sure in stealing my number off of the post for their own use they violated the terms and agreements of [redacted].Desired Settlement: Numerous reviews has placed this company as a scam and predatory, luckily for me I haven't sent them a dime but I have seen that a fair share of people have been scammed by this business. I would like to see them reprimanded for their unscrupulous practices and I would like this company to cease and desist contact with me.

Business

Response:

On behalf of OnceDriven,

I am responding to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint that OnceDriven reached out to him

about his online ad when his ad allegedly contained language which sought to

prohibit companies from contacting him.

It is important for Mr. [redacted] to understand that when a consumer places an ad

on [redacted] their ad may also be available on several other sites. When

that is the case, the language he references is not necessarily part of the ad.

Please assure Mr. [redacted]

that his number, ###-###-####, will not be contacted.

Sincerely,

[redacted]Customer Service Manager

Review: I listed a motorcycle for- sale on [redacted], and specifically made sure that I specified that no third parties were authorized to contact me regarding goods or services.-

However, I received a call from "[redacted]" at "Once Driven" saying that they had "clients who are shopping for vehicles", and "I'm going through a list of vehicles like yours". He went on to say that there is a fee for their service, and they want to help me get my vehicle sold.

He gave his number as [redacted].

This is in violation of the [redacted] policy that I am not to be contacted by third parties regarding their services.

It is a company that is just fishing for people to advertise on their website. The language was purely generic. No one calls a motorcycle a "vehicle". They don't have anyone interested in my motorcycle, as they implied without exactly saying they did.

This company is clearly preying on people who have listed something for sale on [redacted].

I want to register my complaint.

Thank you,

- [redacted]Desired Settlement: I desire that they stop contacting me and anyone else who lists vehicles for sale on [redacted].

Business

Response:

We sincerely apologize for inconveniencing Mr. [redacted]. With

respect to contacting him, we assumed he wasn't interested in hearing from

commercial interests completely unrelated to why he posted his contact

information in the first place, (e.g., random marketers such as credit card or

home security companies). Our service is specifically tailored to help

him achieve his goal. We truly believe in our buyer-seller matching

service and want to help as many people as possible, but we understand that he

is not interested and therefore will not contact him at the number provided in

his complaint.

Sincerely,

Review: I placed a motorcycle for sale on southeasttexas.com in April 2013. I received a call from a representitive from Auto Marketing Systems.I entered into a contract with them, if they sold my motorcycle for asking price of 5200.00 they would keep the 249.00 billed to my credit card, they would screen buyers and refer them to me. This was a 90 day contract. I did not sell the motorcycle within the 90 days. I had the paperwork they sent me noterized and returned to them priority mail signature required. Per [redacted] with auto marketing they received the paperwork on June 24, 2013, and it should take 6-8 weeks to process. I should have my refund by the end of August. I have called and spoken to [redacted] several times, she keeps telling me it shows I have done everything and she doesn't know what the hold up is, she said there is no one else I can speak too. It is now mud October and instill have not gotten my refund. I informed her today I would be calling the Revdex.com. She said fine.Desired Settlement: To get my refund.

Review: I agreed to listing an RV with this company on Feb 28, 2013. After the 90 day listing period I turned in my request for refund because the item did not sell. They have acknowlegded reciept of this and was told I would recieve a refund around the end of July or first of Aug. To date I have not recieved any refund. Now when I call all I get is a answering service. The refund amount was to be $220. The original charge was via my credit card and the refund was to be credited back to that account.Desired Settlement: A full credit placed back on my credit card.

Review: This Co. promises on their application form to guarantee the sale of your auto within 90 days, or refund a portion of your fee.. I put the ad in in Feb. 2013, it was not sold by May2013. I filled out all the proper paper work and had it notarized as they required. I've called them twice, they said they were a little behind. I still haven't received my refund, which should amount to $250.00 less $29.00 processing fee.Desired Settlement: A credit card credit in the amount of$221.00 as stated in their written guarantee

Review: In September, 2012 we contracted with Auto Marketing Systems to help us sell our boat. It is a 2000 Suntracker. They agreed that if it did not sell within 90 days, they would refund $229.00. The total was $249 minus $29.00 processing fee. The boat did not sell iin that time period. I applied within the timeframe they gave me to have the refund sent. To date I have not received it. I have called 4 times since February and just get a run-a-round.Desired Settlement: I want the $229.00 that was guaranteed me in the beginning.

these people got my phone number from a craigslist ad and will not stop calling even though on the ad it said do not solicit me about other products or services so I call them to complain and they say that they have taken my phone number off their calling list then a day later I get another phone call. horrible company and a total scam!!!!!

Review: I stated explicitlyin my [redacted] ad that it was not ok to contact for solicitation or other services but was still contacted and told there would be a fee for service. Upon calling back the operators were extremely rude and unhelpful. This business is a scam and should no longer be contacting people in that manner. I put alot if effort in to making my ad for my vehicle and this is not aa customer but a service trying to take my money.

Regards,

Review: I listed a vehicle for sale on [redacted]. I was contacted by phone from Once Driven who saw my ad. Once Driven told me that for $189.00 they would list the vehicle online and market the vehicle. If the vehicle did not sell within the 45 day period or if I sold the car on my own that I would be able to request a refund of the original amount of $189.00 less a $29.00 fee for a total money back guarantee of $160.00. I have not received one call about the car and Once Driven will not refund the $160.00 that was suppose to be guaranteed. I hope others are not mislead by Once Driven into giving Once Driven $189.00. I recommend that if you receive a call from Once Driven hang up the phone immediately.Desired Settlement: I would like Once Driven to refund the $160.00.

Business

Response:

Ms. [redacted] is partially correct in her message to the Revdex.com. Once Driven does offer a refund to its customers who sell their vehicles within 45 days of listing with Once Driven. Contrary to Ms. [redacted]'s statement, the Once Driven 45-Day Guarantee has never included a stipulation for its customer's who have not sold their vehicle within the first 45 days of purchase to be eligible for a refund. Per our records Ms. [redacted] has not sold her vehicle. Per the Once Driven refund agreement, we will continue to market her vehicle until it is sold. These are the same terms in which Ms. [redacted] agreed upon before being charged the $189 activation fee on 2/17/2016. Ms. [redacted] also acknowledged and agreed to these terms online on 3/6/2016.If Ms. [redacted] has sold her vehicle within the first 45 days of listing with Once Driven, we will be happy to review her request for refund. In addition, for Ms. [redacted]'s convenience, I have attached a direct link to the Once Driven 45-Day Guarantee.http://www.oncedriven.com/guarantee/Sincerely,[redacted]Quality Assurance Manager

Response:

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Once Driven contacted me by telephone after seeing an advertisement I placed on [redacted] Classifieds. The service was presented to me that for a fee of $189.00 Once Driven would market the vehicle with a money back guarantee less a $29.00 fee, if they did not find a buyer within the 45 days or if I sold the vehicle within 45 days to someone not referred by Once Driven. Seemed like a fair deal, however the representative conveniently left out the part of the guarantee that if neither party sold the vehicle within 45 days that Once Driven kept your $189.00. This was all done over the telephone and Once Driven wanted payment at that time. In no way would I have agreed to pay Once Driven $189.00 to sell the car if I had been told the entire money back guarantee policy. I received nothing from Once Driven until after payment was made. After checking out the Revdex.com I am not the first person that Once Driven has scammed. They should be put out of business. I will post my experience all over the Internet with the hope of keeping anyone else from being scammed. The response from the company is untrue just like their sales pitch.

Regards,

Business

Response:

Ms. [redacted] claims that the representative "conveniently" never stated that there would be no refund eligibility if her vehicle hadn't sold. This is clearly not true. Once Driven representatives are required to read a mandatory refund statement (and the customer must agree to the refund terms) before processing payment for its service. In addition, Once Driven does not "Scam" anyone. The terms of service for Once Driven's refund policy are clearly stated on each call before payment can be processed. These terms are also emailed to our customers as soon as the payment has been processed. And, our customers have unlimited access to these terms of service at any time by visiting our website. Is it possible that Ms. [redacted] misunderstood the terms of service? If so, Once Driven is willing to entertain options for a possible partial refund.possible Sincerely,[redacted]Quality Assurance Manager

Review: Company claimed that they would try to sell my car for a fee of $189 and if I sold the car on my own within 45 days, they would return the fee. I did sell the car on my own within the 45 days but they rejected my request for a refund. They claim that I was obligated to send them photos of the car within 2 weeks. I was never told of such a requirement. I had photos and would have gladly submitted them had I been requested to do so.

This is a completely dishonest operation.Desired Settlement: Refund

Business

Response:

Mr. [redacted] claims that he was never told that he needed to submit at least one photo of his Hyundai to be eligible for the 45-Day money back guarantee offered by Once Driven. This specific refund requirement is read and agreed upon with every Once Driven customer prior to the sale of its service ever being completed. In addition, Once Driven sends photo instructions via email to each new customer, and also makes a courtesy phone call to all customers that have not submitted their photos to Once Driven within the first 10 calendar days of listing with Once Driven, to make sure that this specific requirement is completed. For Mr. [redacted]'s specific account, a phone call was placed to Mr. [redacted] on 10/6/2015at 2:07 P.M. EST., a 47 second voicemail message was successfully delivered to Mr. [redacted]'s phone number of [redacted]. This message specifically states that Once Driven had not yet received photos from Mr. [redacted], and reminded him that we needed the photos for his Hyundai no later than 2 weeks from his original start date. Had Mr. [redacted] ever sent Once Driven photos of his vehicle, we would definitely entertain his request for a refund. However, after more than 3 reminders form Once Driven, Mr. [redacted] did not provide us with any photos of his Hyundai. Once Driven was not given an opportunity to market Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle effectively. Mr. [redacted] is not eligible for a refund.I have also included a link to the Once Driven 45-Day Money Back Guarantee below for Mr. [redacted]'s convenience.[redacted]Thank you for the opportunity to respond.Sincerely,[redacted]Customer Service Manager

Review: I received a call From Once Driven on 5/6/15 to my cell phone regarding a car my mom has a car for sell on [redacted]. When putting together the ad I NEVER gave them my phone number in the ad. Review: This company is constantly harassing me by calling and leaving automated voicemails. They began by calling from a 1-888 phone number and after I began ignoring the calls, they started to block them so that the number is listed as "Unknown."

The company advertises that they saw my used car listing online somewhere and that they can "see that it is still available and many buyers are interested," however I removed my for-sale-by-owner online ad a month ago. I tried to call and ask them to stop calling me and nobody answers the phone. When researching this business online, I found countless other reviews with a similar experience. I believe this company is running a scam and is using harassing sales practices.Desired Settlement: This business needs to stop harassing people (especially me) and robo-calling them by scraping phone numbers off [redacted] and [redacted]. It's harassment and it's terrible business practice. The business also lacks transparency by lack of viable contact information or business information listings found online.

An apology would be nice, too.

Regards,

Review: I was selling a vehicle. I was contacted by Once Driven. They claimed they would guarantee the sale of vehicle. They asked for a $218.00 payment; $189.00 of which would be refunded if I sold vehicle before they did. I did not hear from Once Driven after I sent payment. I sold vehicle and contacted once driven for my refund. Now the story changed "You only get a refund if it is sold in first 45 days"... I was not informed of this piece of information, or would not have ever agreed. They said they had emailed me all this information. I did not receive anything form them the entire time. The following day, AFTER trying to receive my refund, I did get emails from Once Driven. But only After, they refused my refund. Up to that point, I had heard nothing from them. I believe I signed up under false pretense.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the $189.00 refund that I feel I am entitled to.
