I "sold" a $50.00 gift card on the Cardpool website on 12/26/2016. The website said the transaction would be "instant." The confirmation email said 2 conflicting things - mail in gift card with provided label, and it also said put card away so it would not be used. I received no prepaid label. I received no payment. I have received no reply to my email sent on 12/26. There is no mechanism to speak with a human, and I am ill at ease because I have given this company my personal credit card information to facilitate transaction. In summary, company provided false information about transaction. Company failed to reply to my email inquiry. I have read every piece of fine print on their site, and I still have no idea how to finalize this transaction. Now, I do not want to do business with them.

On December 15, 2018, I attempted to sell a $ [redacted] gift card to CardpoolThe transaction went through and stated that I would be mailed a check in the amount of $within 5-business daysI’ve called [redacted] on different occasions, both at the beginning of the day and the close of business Each time, I receive a recording, which states to leave your name and phone numberAs of today’s date, I HAVE NOT received ANY CHECK

I signed up online to sell a gift card to cardpool in exchange for an [redacted] egift cardI signed up and followed the necessary stepsI printed the shipping label and put the gift card in the mail on January 22, It is now days later and I still have not received my [redacted] egift cardIt is not a holiday season , nor was this mailed internationallyI emailed customer support as unfortunately there is no customer service phone number except for bull sales ( which I tried and no human ever answers)After quite a few days I finally got an email response simply stating my gift card was not receivedThis is very disappointing since the company advertises receiving your payment within one business day of receiving the cardI have read many reviews where people have experienced the same situation as I am experiencingThis is very disappointing and seems like a scam to meI did not think days later my claim would still be in reviewI would like my payment already

On 12/30/17, I purchased a $Dunkin Donuts gift cardI received the card about days laterI attempted to use the card on 1/22/at my local Dunkin Donuts and was told that the card was deactivatedI have emailed Cardpool times and no one has respondedI would not recommend this site to anyone

Cardpool is both a buyer and seller of unused gift cards.On 2/7/ I sold cardpool, in separate sales(in one sale, and in the other), Neiman Marcus gift cards valued at $per cardThe agreed upon sale price was $per card for a total amount due of $8,619.00.The cards were purchased directly from Neiman Marcus

I had a $shell gift card that I put into cardpool's website, and they offered me an "instant" $*** gift card in exchange for itI assumed that "instant" meant that I would input the number from the gift card and instantly get the *** credit in exchangeThis turned out to not be the case, because as soon as I submitted the order, cardpool directed me to a form to tape my physical gift card to and subsequently mail to themThe form also had a prepaid, self-addressed shipping label from cardpoolI taped my shell gift card to the form, put it in an envelope, and taped the shipping label to the front and mailed it off on 12/29/Cardpool claims to email me the payment within day of receiving my gift card, which they surely have by this pointI have not received any correspondence from themI have sent numerous emails to *** and they have been blatantly ignoredFor all intents and purposes, they have essentially stolen my $shell gift card

This is a terrible company to do business with They have no way to contact them They have no phone number I had a problem with the gift card I purchased They charged my credit card but I cannot talk to them about it because they have no customer service number They have an email address and I sent them an email asking for help but they didn't respond If you have a problem with your purchase, you are stuck

I traded in my computer at *** *** and they gave me a gift card for itI knew I didn’t want to buy anything in *** ***, so I looked around to see if I could sell itI came across CarpoolThe website look reputable so I checked it outI noticed that there are kiosks at a lot of grocery stores in my areaI went to the kiosk and went through the prompts, but they denied meThey didn’t give me a reason or anythingI called the number on the kiosk and they stated that the gift card balance was too high and that I needed to use the website to sell the gift cardSo I didThey gave me an offer and it was processingI got a call a few days maybe a week later asking questions about how I acquired the gift card etcThe next day I got an email stating that my check was sent and it would be 3-business dayI got it in I am just writing this review because I notice the massive amounts of negative reviews and complaints on this company and I wanted to share my storyThe only reason why I am not giving it stars is because of the kiosk limitation, the turn around time from start to finish, and the offer amountI would use this service again

Their associates must have access to your passwordsI had the same userid and password for my cardpool account as I did my *** accountI bought egift cards from them and added them to my *** app pay accountTwo days later someone got into my *** account, changed my email in it and drained all of my gift cards out of itI had no idea loading them to My *** app account would also make them available online like that, but it didMy password was a very unique password and no one would have ever guessed itI sent them the proof of everything, even the proof that it was drained at a *** store no where near me, and they wouldn't do anything about itOnly someone on their end would have AKnown I had purchased egift cards and would add them to my *** account and Bknow my password because it was the same password for their site as well as the *** site

Upon selling a pair of gift cards, the website prompted me for an address for my debit card to cover liability if something we’re to change in the nature of the cards being soldThe site automatically assumed the address on file for my debit card was the shipping address for the check they would sendUpon realizing this, I reached out to customer support via email to give them the correct address to send the check toTheir site says to allow 1-days for a response, and I have yet to receive either a response or a check from themIt has been over a week and I have reached out additional times to no availThis is at worst theft, and at best an unacceptable breach of the sale on *** end
