Review: This company sent me a [redacted] Magazine to my name and address. I am **, [redacted] and absolutely have no interest in reading about sports. I did not order this magazine, my family didn't order it for me. I tried to email on their site but though all information was entered correctly, the site indicates there was a problem. I tried to call the number given and absolutely nothing happened...no dial tone, no voice mail, nothing. I did not order this, I do not ever want to receive a bill for this and I would like my personal information removed from their database.Desired Settlement: They should send me no more of the magazines and I should never be billed for this. It seems dishonest though perhaps this is how business is done.

The telephone number on their website is out of service. The link to contact customer service does not work. Their "magtrack" link does not work.Desired Settlement: Cancellation of subscription with no further payment. Cease contact with me after matter resolved.

Response:

Dear Mrs. [redacted],

Review: M2 Media Group obtains through underhanded means people's Home Addresses, and then sends never ordered magazines to these individuals. Of course the recipient of these magazines are surprised and puzzled as to why they have a subscription to a magazine they never ordered. If they manage to learn from the magazine that it was actually arranged not through the magazine but through M2 Media Group, they will then be told the subscription is free, what they are not told is that it is a Trick, that at the end of the subscription it will turn into a paid for subscription, and if they should forget, that M2 Media Group will turn it over to a Collection Agency and harm their Credit Score. Contact M2 Media Group and Cancel the forced upon you magazine subscription, and the self-protective thing to do is not fall for their "free subscription" which can lead individuals into forgetting a subscription they never ordered, and to their shock end up in Collections. This Scam happened to me before and I canceled the subscription I never ordered immediately, I am now doing it again with a different magazine [redacted], it also will be canceled immediately , rather than fall into their trap. This is an evil practice, protect yourself.Desired Settlement: I demand that M2 Media Group halt IMMEDIATELY a subscription to a magazine "[redacted]" of which I never ordered. I demand that they remove my contact information permanently and never force a Magazine Subscription onto me again, never send a magazine to my address again. I demand they IMMEDIATELY stop their underhanded practice of sending magazine subscriptions to individuals who never requested or ordered such magazine subscriptions. M2 Media Group has BAD FAITH business practices.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: Because of the great deal of my time and energy wasted in researching and making calls to try and understand why I was subjected to a magazine subscription that I never ordered or wanted or gave permission to receive. I am rejecting due to M2 Media Group's BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE that is manipulative, abusive, a boundary problem and unethical. I am rejecting because of scores of comments I read of other individual's wasted time in the same research and accompanied distress; some reported falling into a trap of subscriptions not ordered, and yet billed unknowingly at the expiration of their never ordered subscription as it rolled into a paid subscription without their realizing it, and next non-payment and followed by being in Collections - a Nightmare that began with M2 Media Group forcing magazine subscriptions on victims without their being notified of such action for their permission, a business practice filled with such audacity of trespassing/boundary problem, and strictly for the gain of M2 Media Group. I am furious as I am a highly educated and sophisticated researcher who was able to navigate online to figure out the mystery as to why I received a magazine subscription, whereas other victims lack education and research skills, to discover other recipients comments that includes ending up in Collections, and spending precious time trying to understand how it happened. Many recipients from calling the magazine learned of M2 Media Group, and struggled to contact them, finding no way to call them, presented only with an online form to cancel a never ordered magazine subscription, but the form demanded all of their contact information that included their phone number, email address and home address, and were too fearful to fill this information in, and so did not do so, and next feared the never ordered subscription would just keep on rolling after it ended into new subscriptions with expected payments. And some did indeed have eventual rolled in subscriptions as they were not even aware of the End Date of a never ordered subscription, and next they ended up in Collections. This is BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE by a M2 Media Group, a BAD COMPANY - their method is abusive, a boundary problem, manipulating and using people - especially individuals lacking education and research skills and even enough "smarts" to fend for themselves and do the necessary research to free themselves of being a victim tangled up in M2 Media Group's trickery and business practice solely for their own evil monetary gain. M2 Media Group, shame on you, shame on you for DOING ANYTHING to make money, even if it entails harming vast amounts of people, even if it is sneaky, underhanded, abusive and unethical.

Sincerely,

Review: The firm doesn't respond to customer inquiries nor do they have any access phone wise for contacting them to speak to a person on the phone. The phone system is one continuous loop.Desired Settlement: Refund for the remaining 2.5 years of a subscription with [redacted].

Hello -

Review: Non-payment of Magazine Rebate offer through purchase with [redacted]

As offered by [redacted] when I purchased some shoes in March 2013, I could chose not to receive an offered magazine subscription and instead receive a $9.99 rebate. I completed the applicable form and submitted all the required information to receive the rebate, and, per instructions, mailed same to [redacted] Magazine Offer, [redacted] CT XXXXX on March 19, 2013. I sent a follow-up reminder request on June 7, 2013. To date I have received neither an acknowledgement of my original submission nor my follow up letter, and I have not received the rebate. I also telephoned [redacted] who told me to contact M2 Media Group. I then called M2 Media Group who suggested I call [redacted] Since the address I mailed the rebate request to is clearly the address of M2 Media Group, I believe that this company should make good on the offer.Desired Settlement: I am seeking the rebate of $9.99 as offered by [redacted]

Review: Scamming people sneaking their product in with other purchased goods, never saw anywhere that it said this would be bundled.

This is the 2nd time I have been sent Prevention magazine by shopping online, I am very very careful when I shop due to this happening before. All of a sudden I start receiving magazines and/or being charged for things I didn't order. I cant reach anyone to even cancel my subscription, they hide it seems. I think it is very sad you have to watch everything you do because of individuals like this. NOW I get the run around to try and cancel it before im charged when I don't even know who they are and I never ordered anything from them or this magazine company. I am in the process of a bankruptcy and am unemployed and I have to deal with individuals like this trying to scam me, just ridiculous and uncalled for.Desired Settlement: REMOVE ME FROM ANY DATABASE YOU HAVE EVER CREATED.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

There is no settlement to offer or accept here, I want this company to stop scamming people, they sneak their stupid magazines in where you don't see them, then send them to you, this is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. I would only bet the majority of people they send them to call them to complain per the comments and complaints I found all over the internet about this company. I am unemployed and just trying to keep my home and my family together, why should I have to be subjected to dealing with sneaky slimy companies. NOW if I didn't go thru the same ritual I had to go thru before when you snuck your little magazine in somewhere on something I purchased online, I would of been charged. AND you don't make it easy to even find you to cancel a subscription I never wanted or opted for. TWICE you got me, TWICE I had to hunt you down in order to stop them from coming. NEXT TIME if you get me again, I will just write on them return to sender and if you charge me for not going thru all the hassle of getting ahold of someone to cancel it, I will sue you. I don't have time for this and I just cant believe what this world has come to that you can do what you are doing. Shoving magazines down consumers throats, sneaking your offers in with other web site purchases. IF I would of seen your offer, I would of unchecked the box or declined it so I gotta give ya that, your SNEAKY, good job, something to be proud of im sure.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

I have the emails that I sent AND the AUTO responses to prove that I have indeed emailed the company. Obviously they have no idea how to accept and respond to emails.

Review: I searched high and low on who to contact regarding 3 magazine renewals for over a total of $100 that were processed without my consent and with no option to cancel in the first place.

I finally got a hold of an actual representative and was told that I would be emailed and refunded my money. I have yet to receive an email so now I am filing a complaint.Desired Settlement: Someone needs to contact me ASAP and refund me the charges that were made

Review: I am receiving a magazine "[redacted]" which I did not order and I find offensive. (Despite it's title it is about sex and not health.) I contacted the magazine and asked they discontinue sending it to my home. [redacted] at [redacted] refused to cancel my subscription saying the order had been placed through an independent sales agency and it is necessary for me to contact them--M2 Media Group in [redacted]. I telephoned M2 Media Group and was told by a recording that I was receiving the magazine as a bonus for having joined one of their "partner sites" and I would not be charged. I have no idea who are their "Partner Sites."

It is wrong that I need to take so much time and effort to keep an offensive product from being delivered to my home. [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want to know who is the "Partner Site" that I supposedly joined. I want them to discontinue use of my contact information.

I am educated on consumer protection rights and M2 Media Group has violated my consumer rights. Review: I made a purchase on [redacted] on July 8, 2014 which qualified me for a free subscription or a $20 rebate. The link to download the form to request the rebate was broken so I sent an email and a letter to M2 Media with my request for a rebate with the proper proof of purchase and explained that the form was not available. More than 6 weeks after my purchase the customer service for M2 Media replied that I requested the subscription to the magazine ([redacted]) and as a result they were denying my request for a rebate. I replied back to customer service that I did not sign up the magazine and to cancel my subscription and to honor the request for rebate over 3 weeks ago. Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Hi [redacted]

Please see attachment

You helped me with a complaint I filed against M2 Media regarding non-performance for a rebate I was entitled to which has been closed. The company responded indicating that it was a computer error and that my rebate was being processed. A little while after I received an email from them saying that my rebate check had been mailed and processed. Believing that the complaint was resolved I did not respond to the Revdex.com indicating that the issue was still open. Would you reopen this complaint? I have attached the email I received from M2 Mags saying that my check was mailed and processed on October 7, 2014 and a copy of the complaint and resolution with the Revdex.com. I waited 4 weeks to allow them time to send the check despite their saying it was already mailed. It appears that they indicated the check was being sent in order to close my complaint against them.

I appreciate any assistance you can provide in helping me resolve this matter. I have tried calling their 800# and the recording says that to speak with someone I need to enroll in a giveaway which I refuse to do so I do not have any recourse.

Thank you -

Sincerely,

Cindy Wong

Hi [redacted]

Review: I purchased a Magazine subscription from BlueDolphin, a subsidiary of M2 Media, in October, 2013. I purchased it as a gift subscription for a friend that had wanted this magazine for some time. Imagine my surprise, when 5 months after the purchase, I find out that NOT ONE SINGLE ISSUE has been delivered! Then I log-in to BlueDolphin's website to track the subscription and see that they intend to charge my credit card AGAIN in November of 2014, when I still haven't received one single issue from the 1st time that I purchased something from them in Good Faith. I have attempted to contact Blue Dolphin several times to resolve the issue, but cannot receive anything in reply, other than a standard canned response. I have tried numerous times to submit my complaint to M2 Media's Customer Service page on their own website. Oddly enough, even though ever OTHER page on their site pulls up with ease, it seems to have a huge problem with submitting anything any kind of questions, complaints, etc to their Customer Service page, even on the included form. It keeps stating that it's "Waiting for [redacted]" before it repeatedly times out! I am now tired of dealing with this company and expecting them to honor the payment I made with the product that I ordered and would like some answers, or a full complete refund. When contacting them about the matter, you can use my email address of [redacted] to identify my order with the company and please feel free to contact me about this matter as well. It has been FAR long enough to deal with this shyster company and researching them found a litany of complaints, so this company is overdue for answering to the same complaint. Thank you for the opportunity to get some answers from this company, I look forward to your response. Sincerely,Desired Settlement: I would like for my friend to receive his magazine subscription, since he has waited for it over 5 months. If the company cannot do that, then I would like a full refund, so he can order it for himself from a reputable company.
