Review: Received "[redacted]" magazine without ever having subscribed to it. Called "[redacted]" magazine and was told that a subscription was entered in my name by M2 Media Group. Was directed to call M2 Media Group to resolve the issue. Called the number given (###-###-####) and was put in a recording loop that said I was not charged for the subscription. Could not speak to a human to resolve the issue and stop the magazine from coming. Also, wanted to tell them to remove my name and any and all of my information from their lists. I did fill out and send the Customer Service email form on M2 Media website without a response.Desired Settlement: Want to stop any and all unsolicited magazine subscriptions immediately. Want formal assurance that I am not responsible for any subscriptions. Want my name and all my information removed from their files and databases. Want to be formally notified of this resolution. This is identity theft! Also, would like to know what "partner" of theirs submitted my name for this "free" subscription.

Review: I am not sure why these magazines arrived in my mail. I called [redacted] magazines customer service and they advised me to contact M2 Media Group, they are the one who ordered the magazine for me. I told them that was the first time I heard about this company, I would like to get this account to be cancel, and they said M2 media Group is the only one who can cancel the subscription. I even told the [redacted] magazine customer service, I did not request a copy of their magazine, and did not subscribe to their magazine at any time. I asked that they please cancel the subscription several times, and advised them that since this was not requested, I will not be paying any invoices for their magazine. Review: M2 Media Group has signed me up for two magazine subscriptions that I never ordered and do not want. I am afraid that they are scamming me.

I recently received two magazine subscriptions [redacted] and [redacted] & [redacted] that I did not purchase and do not want. I contacted the magazines and was told that they could not help me because the subscriptions were purchased on my behalf by "M2 Media Group". I did not authorize this purchase. I have not yet been charged, but I fear that I will be. I have researched M2 Media Group online and found that they have done this to many other people. Some people have reported that they received the unwanted subscriptions, called to cancel, and were then told by M2 that they could not cancel (even though they never ordered them in the first place). The "customers" subsequently received bills for the unwanted magazines. I have not contacted M2 directly because I am afraid that I will fall into a trap. Specifically, I am afraid that by calling them from my own phone number, they will gain additional information about me and then use it to issue additional charges (i.e., that they are engaged in some sort of phishing scheme). I do not know this to be the case; I am just afraid. In any event, the testimony of others has convinced me that calling M2 would do not good. I am filing this complaint for three reasons: (i) to obtain guidance on how to stop the magazines from arriving at my home, (ii) to obtain guidance on how to avoid getting charged for magazines that I did not purchase, and (iii) to record my dissatisfaction with (and fear of) M2 Media Group. I believe that they are involved in an illegitimate business -- and I am not their first victim. (Granted, I could be wrong about this. But that is my suspicion.) Thank you!Desired Settlement: I want them to cancel the subscriptions to [redacted] and [redacted] and [redacted] Moreover, I do not want to be charged for the magazines that I did not purchase.

Review: M2 Media Group has automatically subscribed me to "[redacted]" magazine. I have no idea how this happened, and have absolutely no interest in this type of magazine. When you call the phone number for this company no one answers the phone, it is all automated, with no opportunity to speak to anyone regarding this subscription. This is a completely illegitimate sales tactic and I am extremely unhappy I have to spend my time getting this resolved.Desired Settlement: I am angry that this company somehow decided to automatically subscribe me to this magazine without my permission or consent. I want any associated charges/billing related to this subscription reversed.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely,

Review: I started receiving an unsolicitied magazine subscription to [redacted]. After much prodding, [redacted] finally provided me with information that M2 Media Group made the unsolicited subscription request on my behalf. I have filed two (2) online Customer Service requests via their website for information from M2 Media to provide me with info as to why (or who) authorized them to submit this subscription request on my behalf. To date, they have not had the professionalism to provide a response. While it's possible another company made a subscription request of them as an uncommunciated add-on to an online purchase I may have made from a retailer, I wouldn't know that because M2 Media hasn't had the courtesy to respond to my inquiries. As such, I must consider this to be some sort of subscription scam. If it's legitimate, then they should have the business ethics to respond to Customer Service inquiries so people don't have to file Revdex.com complaints.Desired Settlement: I want an explanation from M2 Media to the same question I've already asked them (twice) and then I want the magazine subscription to [redacted] cancelled since I didn't ask for it.

Review: Not sure how, but the M2 Media company has acquired my information and purchased a subscription to a magazine in my name as a "gift" to me. The subscription is unwanted and while they have provided an online solution to unsubscribing (not sure if it works yet), the company has not provided an outlet to answer my questions such as through what source my information was acquired, how much of my information they have(the company's phone message is quick to reassure me my credit card wasn't used. Does this mean they have record of my credit card number?!), or how to request that my information be destroyed and any further relationship be dissolved. These are questionable advertising practices at best, and a potential financial catastrophe at worst.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive confirmation that all my information obtained by this company is destroyed and would like to see more transparency in the way this company handles end user inquiry.

Review: This company is a SCAM!!!!! Its ALL over the internet with people and their experiences. In mine? Back in May 2014, I bought a lot of shoes from [redacted] (later found out they are scammers too) and they had a $30 rebate OR [redacted] subscription with this M2 Media (they dont tell you that - just looked up the address) - there is NO way to get a live person unless you fall into their $100 [redacted] voucher scam they try to "give" you. Anyway, there was NO rebate form. I suddenly started getting [redacted]. I called [redacted] and either they didnt know what I was talking about or gave me links. One gal gave me a hidden link to the rebate form, now a $10 rebate; I filled it out anyway. 8 weeks later, still no rebate. Called the company SEVERAL times, M2 Media. I got hung up on each time by "accident." They lay it thick to get a $100 voucher and straight up LIE TO ME "yes we will look at the rebate in a bit, so its your lucky day, today only you get a $100 voucher to [redacted]" (I am pretty certain the answering machine thing said you had to pay $1.99 to ship the voucher to you too). I said for the 100th time "I do NOT want a voucher, I do not want to partake in your marketing scams, I do not...." Then the guy gets pissed "you dont want a FREE $100 voucher?!!" I said "NO - I just want my rebate." He LIED and told me "oh for that you call ###-###-####" which we all know 555 numbers do not EXIST - they use that number in films. I am LIVID with these a-holes. There are complaints of people getting magazines they never wanted. They will not stop and they need to CEASE to exist!! They should NOT be in business - they sell your private information! In fact - my phone number is private but they can SEE it!!! Only certain agencies like police get to be revealed your restricted phone number!! This company is a scam and I am certain they SELL your information.Desired Settlement: I want my $30 and to quit sending me magazines and I want the company to cease. They have NO customer service and nobody likes them. There is no point to these people - blow the building up - dont care. They should NOT be in business - they sell your private information! In fact - my phone number is private but they can SEE it!!! Only certain agencies like police get to be revealed your restricted phone number!! This company is a scam and I am certain they SELL your information.

Review: M2 Media Group of [redacted] is in the business of sending people unsolicited magazines. They get paid a fee by the Magazine Publisher to do this. If you call the Publisher, the publisher (in this case [redacted]) tells you that the magazine was sent by a third party. The third party is M2 Media Group. If you contact M2 Media Group to cancel they tell you that you cannot cancel over the phone. A computer answers the phone and tells you to send a letter or cancel on-line. However, [redacted] magazine wrote about M2 Media Group in 2014. These cancellations never get processed. You are stuck with the unsolicited magazine forever.

I have been highjacked by M2 Media Group.Desired Settlement: CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION TO [redacted] AND DO NOT SEND ME ANY MORE MAGAZINES.

Review: Unsolicited magazine subscription ([redacted]). Mag publisher only suspends delivery will not cancel and refers you to M2 Media. M2 has a recording which does not allow cancellation but refers you to an email address, [redacted]. When you complete the form and try to submit it shows the page is temporarily unavailable so you can't submit. I tried multiple times but receive the same message so I assume my request to M2 to cancel never got through. My conclusion is they are doing everything to discourage people from contacting them. All this jumping through hoops for something I never ordered in the first place nor did I give permission to any other online company to do so. My understanding is [redacted] is also involved in this practice, or what I would call a scam. thank you for your assistance.Desired Settlement: Ensure the subscription is cancelled and no further unsolicited magazine are sent

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:The response stated the magazine subscription was a gift from [redacted]. as a result of a purchase. I have not made a purchase from [redacted] since early 2011, almost 5 years ago. Why would [redacted] offer a gift without a sale, or if it was a promotion, without notifying me?

Sincerely,

M2 Media Group ordered magazine to be sent to my address without my permission. This is part of a scam and should be subject to criminal prosecution.

I purchased a mirror through [redacted] in August 2015. I opted for the rebate instead of the magazine subscription. I completed the rebate form accurately and mailed it. I haven't received the rebate. It was supposed to be processed within 6-8 weeks after receiving the merchandise. I contact M2 Media Group several times via email and they have not responded. What a waste of time and such a scam! The rebate form indicated that I was sending it to [redacted]. The form did not say I was dealing with M2 Media Group. Very deceptive.
