Very professional and the installation was great, they arrived on time and did a wonderful job in cleaning up

It was great! The salesmen was very helpful and even got us financed. Our installation was 6 weeks from meeting with the guy. The installers were friendly and prompt. They arrived and 9am and were done by 4pm. Cleaned up after themselves.

Our shower installations were completed and paid for four months ago. We were a little disappointed by a couple of the finishing details and they told us they would take care of it. Knowing that they were very busy, I did tell them that it wasn't something I needed done immediately. But after a month, I was a little perturbed that there was no response. Since then I have sent an email, and called and left messages with our salesperson/manage. Perhaps these poor reviews will initiate a response?

We had over 30 windows and 2 doors replaced. Three men did a high quality job and completed our project in just 3 days! We love our high quality windows and doors and I recommend working with MadCity.

Good job by a great team and clean up when they were done!

I am so happy with my new windows. High Quality, Excellent service. Definitely worth the money I invested into my new Windows. My rooms are so much warmer and I can keep the furnace turned down. The sales people, customer service and the installation reps are all so friendly and helpful. Definitely not disappointed!

Great job! Crew was on time and courteous. Replaced a huge bay window (125") in about 6 hours.
No complaints. Thanks Mad City!

Fast professional salesman, professional installation crew. Quick installation. Cleaned up their mess. The windows look great. I’m very pleased.

There are always reps at the Walmart I go to. So I finally caved and decided to get an estimate to redo my shower. The sales guys was nice although I felt pressured and the estimated was cutting into my kids bedtime routine. Agreed just to get him to leave and then called to cancel 2 days later. Called the office and they stated they needed to send a manager out to collect the cancellation form. Allowed the manager to come out and get the cancellation paper that needed to be signed. He arrived and was very pushy about me keeping the sale. Told him I am sorry but I need to cancel, $11k for just a new shower is a bit steep and I only agreed so the sales guy would leave. Became upset. Told him I am busy and need to get to conferences for my girls and he needed to leave. He stood up and became aggressive and swearing at me. At this point I had to grab protection because I was home alone and he was a big guy. He continued to swear and told me I wasted his time and the 1.5 hr drive he made. He finally collected his belongings after he saw I wasnt kidding that he needed to leave. Asked if he was going to take the cancellation form. His response, "You can F# mail it in" and slammed my door. This just happened yesterday, 11/7/19. Called the Madison location immediately and told them what happened. The rep cancelled it for me over the phone no problem. This service was unacceptable. For a man to think he can approach a woman alone like this in her own home and threaten and belittle her.

We requested a quote for our bathroom. We were told to plan for about a 20 minute intro to the company and then the rep would measure and discuss options. Two and half hours later, we had to ask multiple times for the sales rep to leave our home. I will never do business with this company. The price continued to change and when we said it was too much money, the sales tactics became very aggressive to the point the sales representative was belligerent and rude.
My next call would have been to our local police department to remove this person from our home. This company should be ashamed of the way they do business.

There was a lot of debris from installation left on roof and around my house. It caused my gutters to clog and fill with water. Now they sag in the middle. Also screens were never put on two windows. Most of the windows had quite a bit of ice on them the last few days of cold weather we had. The locks are hard to secure on the larger sliders. Also the trim put around the inside of windows looks cheap and unfinished. Most disappointing is this will be the 3rd ticket I have opened and no one has called me back. Also no one ever returned to put in the last few screens after installation back in Feb. We were also told that installation would happen in the beginning of December by the sales rep.
Would like to have the Windows removed and go with someone else. Way overpriced and very unsatisfied with work done.

Bought a door for our sunporch. After a few months when winter rolled in I noticed that air was leaking in under the door. They came and made adjustments. No more leaking door, but my door sits crooked in the frame. Once summer came back around we had condensation all over the door. So, after one year in, we have a popped seal in the door, paint flaking off the frame, caulk peeling, a door handle that is loose, discoloration(frame around the glass is suppose to be white, but is yellow), and weatherstrips failing so there is airflow again. Can't just call and talk to some one, have to fill out a form and have them call you. They came and looked at it and said they would come with parts to fix it, not replace the door. The door handle we would have to contact the manufacturer ourselves. What a crock of poo. That was over a month ago and we still haven't heard back, even after submitting more claims online. I agreed to get a quote for some windows at the time of the inspection, just to waste their time. The salesman looked at the door and said that at the period we bought it, they were having supply problems with inferior products and agreed the door needs to be replace, not fixed. These people are pushy and no follow through on warranties.

We purchased a large front window through Mad City. Installation day was scheduled for July 31st with the installers arriving between 1-2PM. At 3PM I called because no one had shown up and that was when I was told the installers were stuck on their morning job and could no longer get to my house but also they were now thinking the job would take a full day rather than the half day they thought. We immediately rescheduled for August 5th.

On August 5th the installers arrived and started setting up. One of them asked if anyone had spoken with me about one of the windows. No one had. They told me one came damaged but they would order a replacement and a service tech would come out to replace that portion. I was unhappy but did not want a second installation date to fall through as I had arranged child care and dog care two times now.

They installed the window and showed it to me. They didn't demonstrate how to open the windows or anything. I wasn't even sure if I could open them because of the cracks. I was never given an expectation on when the replacement glass would be coming. I was just told I would be notified when it came in. After they left and my husband returned home we looked over the window. On one side the locks and symbols are upside down. On both sides the screens do not fit properly and there is a gap which would definitely allow bugs to get in. Not to mention my infant will be walking soon. I have no faith that if she pressed up against the screens slightly that they won't pop out.

My husband called and expressed his concerns. He was told someone would call back. 2 days later the service manager called. She told us that the upside down locks were how the manufacturer made the windows but when the service tech came out he would look at the screens. She did not seem to really care about our experience and said a few times "I don't know what to tell you". We were still left with no expectation of when the replacement glass would come.

On August 19th I tried to call for an update. I could not reach anyone. I posted photos to my *** page. The service manager called my husband a few hours after the post was shared around 40 times and told him that the glass should arrive on 8/25.

8/25 came and went and we still heard nothing. On 8/29 I called for an update and requested to speak with someone other than the service manager. They took a message and the production manager called me a few hours later. He told me the glass was on the manifest for the truck coming on 8/30. He advised that he would personally be helping to unload that truck and would follow up.

9/3 I called in the morning for an update. I was told I would be called back. I have still not heard anything. Mad City has several phone numbers and a menu with prompts. It does not matter what number you call or what button you press. You will get looped through to a receptionist who can do nothing to help you other than send off a message to the department. They provide no expectation of when you can expect a call back and only one of the times I called and the person who answered stated their name and department.

The communication has been unacceptable. The professionalism is non-existent. The broken widow they installed is unacceptable.

We will be calling this customer today to schedule the install of the new picture sash and discuss any discount due to the lack of satisfaction. As for the replacement sash the manufacture builds them to the same specs as the original order per dimensions of their program. We did receive the sash later then expected in the day and was not able to call due to the holiday weekend. The locks on all 3 lite slider windows come with one side locking down and the opposite side locking in the upward direction as was explained to the customer. The screens will be looked at during the time of the service of installing the picture sash to see what the issue is.

I spoke with Mad City and did not reach any agreement with them. I was offered an offensive discount of $250. I disagreed with the amount and was told by the production manager, "I don't HAVE to give you a discount". Absolutely unacceptable.

Regards

Customer did not want to accept the discount offered for the inconvenience. She is at this time refusing to all us to schedule the install of the picture sash in her window until we offer her a different discount. She will be contacted with a final offer today.

We signed a contract with this company to do siding, windows, and doors at our home. In May 2018 they came and started the project. At the end of the year, the project was not finished. Siding is falling off the house, gutters are reinstalled wrong which is causing leaking. They took the gutters off to do the siding and put them back up wrong. The windows on the interior are not complete. Siding all around the house is buckling. Water is even leaking through the windows into the inside of the house. I have contacted the company numerous times and receive no contact back from them. They say the backside of my house needs to be resided and the whole garage as well. They sent a man out 3 weeks ago, and said it was too much work for him, so he left and now I have not heard anything back from the company. This job was supposed to be completed in a month, and it is now a year and a half later.

Mad City Windows & Baths Response • Aug 30, 2019

We have been in contact with the customer about the siding issues. We have materials on order to take care of what needs to be done as far as the siding goes. I will discuss with my service manager on when she expects the materials in and to give the customer an update as to when we can scheduled an installer to come out and make the appropriate repairs necessary. As for the windows I do not see any complaints in the past as to what is not finished on the windows but, will also have my service manager contact the customer to get the information needed to find out what is not finished. The customer did sign off on the project completion form that the windows and door were completed.

I received a text message from *** on 4/4/19 that the siding is in and will be there on 4/5/19 and no one showed up. I have several other text messages going back and forth asking when they were coming but would never give us an answer. Today 9/5/19 they called us and said the siding came in. I have to call them back and set up an appointment and hope they show up.

Mad City never called us to setup a time to come. We have 2 dogs in the house so someone should be there.

We have called this cust 4 times today with out getting an answer. We have also left a message today. We need the customer to either answer the phone or return our call to get this taken care of.

GO FIND SOMEONE ELSE! NOTHING BUT ISSUES WITH MAD CITY.
We called Mad City and after a very informative display (which mind you took over 2 hours, starting at 6pm and we have a 18 month old that needed me and my husband and needed bed time ect.) The guy didn't care he would wait to talk any more about anything until me or my husband returned from caring for our child. All we ever wanted was to know a cost and what they could offer. We didn't need to know everything else but I guess its those other details that sold us. So yes maybe they have a great product and their energy savings guarantee sounds pretty great too along with saving the money if you commit that day. I now see why they do it. So don't fall for it.
From the day we ordered no one ever communicated what to expect when, how long the doors would take, when they would be installed, how long that would take. NOTHING! I called after about 4 weeks and they said oh it takes 6-8 weeks. So I waited. I called again after 8.5 weeks. they claimed they should be there the next week. Summer was coming and my one week day off a week was filling up quick. They finally let me book them to install without the door being there (a policy they have). The 2 guys that came to install my doors were a JOKE, they were not friendly, they smelled so bad of cigarette smoke, and had no idea what they were doing. Both of them were clearly very new without enough training. They started on our front door which took them 5 hours to intall, just a simple 36inch front door, no completed glass or double swing or anthing. They read the directions word for word outloud to one another and I could hear them making remarks of "somehow we need to make this piece do this" My entire house smelled of cigarette smoke, even with an entire door missing on a very windy day. They clearly were smoking very near to my house, I would guess just 10 feet from the door by their truck in my driveway. They installed the wrong door knob and the knob was not centered leaving a space were you could see the inside of the door on the side of the knob.
They then proceeded to the patio door. I knew they would be there all day and not even finish it if they took that long on the front door. (they didn't arrive until 10am). they began ripping everything down making a huge mess. They hadn't cleaned up any of the mess by the front door yet either. (again I have an 18m old and I can't hang out and do everything up in our bedrooms all day, we still need to eat) So we tip toed around their stuff and let them keep working. After 4 hours of them working on the patio door their foreman shows up, they said nothing to me about him coming so I knew it wasn't good. I seen the foreman take apart the patio door they just put in and overlooking everything. after and hour and a half he comes over and says that they got bad rollers and they will have to order new ones. They were not completely done with the install so they would get those and be out to finish it all up. They were gonna come out the next week and install them. At this point the patio door has to be SLAMMED shut, its catching so hard on the edging that you can't close it without getting a good momentum going. The foreman still claimed the rollers would fix that. They never put in the plugs for the rollers and they never installed the latch for the screen door. They picked up all their stuff and left... They did not clean up ANYTHING. There was insulation, screws, dust, vinyl shavings all that junk everywhere in my house! It was a windy day and with both doors open it blew everything all over the place. Once they finally left at 7pm I had to then spend time vacuuming up my own house before I could even bring my kid inside.
The second set of installers came out and I felt much better about them. They had been doing it for a long time. They were friendly they didn't need to read the instructions. I went over everything I seen wrong with both doors and they tried to attend to all of it. They got the patio door to close easier but not great. They told me that's how it was gonna have to be because there was a bump in our floor. (the bump is on the far end where the sliding door doesn't even touch so not the case) Once they left it got harder and harder to close. They still didn't put the pugs in, or the latch for the screen, they said the other guys forgot it so someone else would have to come out again. They spent 6 hours there and the door still wasn't up to our expectations.
We called to complain about the doors. no one really seemed to care they just said that's how it is with the manufacturer. I kept complaining and said that they still had missing pieces so send out the foreman to look at it while he installs them. He showed up without those pieces and said I was right that's not a manufacturer issue and that the entire door is bowed and they would have to order a new one. Never gave us an expectation of how long it would take just said he would order it and someone would call. 4 weeks later it finally came in. The service guy was sent out to fix it with a bunch of new parts. I again bombarded the guy with all the issues with the patio door and explained the guys that installed it and what the foreman had all said about it. He spent hours looking things over checking if it was level (it wasn't). Fixing little things they messed up on and finally came across the closing issue of 2 pieces that were installed backwards. The entire door they ordered was not needed at all, waste of our time. If they would just get quality installers to do the work in the first place all of this could have been avoided.
Now we have an issue that water leaks between the doors when it rain. Like a heavy drip in. Still have not heard back from then about it.
CALL SOMEONE ELSE. AVOID THEM!
The next set of installer comes out

I have black dirt or mold growing in my remodeled shower. I have contacted them for over 2 years now with no reply. I have called left messages got a hold of the salesperson and set up an internet complaint on there site and it said they would be getting back to me with no reply.

Mad City Windows & Baths Response • Aug 13, 2019

We contacted on 8/12 about this service. Mad City is scheduled to take care of this service on 9/17 at 8am.

Customer Response • Aug 26, 2019

They have scheduled me for September 17 to rectify the problem. We shall see what happens

The salesman was extremely pushy. I was supposed to get a quote , in home estimate, from them as well as a gift card for doing so. The company refused to allow me to see the salesman without "the man of the house" present. Also they never provided the gist card for the in home estimate. The price they quoted was ridiculous. I had 5 other companies in my home to measure and quote. And this was by far the highest by at least double of every other quote, the salesman wouldnt leave when I asked him to and kept pushing me to sign a contract. He also didnt present me with a gift card as promised.

We had some minor issues with our windows, but Mad City stood by their word and completed the work as we requested. We're satisfied and would use them again.

Mad City Windows calls me multiple times a week with harassing phone calls. I am on the Do Not Call list and I have told them at least a dozen times to stop calling. They never stop calling. I told them I would call the police but I am also complaining to Revdex.com in hopes of some remedy.

Mad City Windows & Baths Response • Aug 05, 2019

We apologize and we will remove from our calling list. We did not have on record any request to remove from our calling list.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I have also taken steps to block all incoming calls from Mad City Windows. I will never do business with them because of the constant harassment.

I had them put in two bathrooms at a cost of $15,000. I feel like I got about half of that value. From panels being cut to short and out of square, to a horrendous caulk job. a walk in shower door 5/8'' out of plumb. I could go on and on about things that were poorly done. I have been in woodworking for over 33 years. The caulking job was so bad in the first bathroom that I told the installer, I would do the second one myself, so it would be done correctly. I spoke with the manager at the New Berlin office about the issues, to no avail. I called the owner in Madison three times, but he never returned my calls. If you have a lot of money to waste and don't care what your finished product looks like, they are the company for you
