Very good high quality windows. All the work was finished in 1 day.

We only had one installer and he had to revaluate the install of the walk in shower due to the tub and walls being uneven. He did a GREAT job of making sure everything was legit for our finished product to be in working order. Everything ended up looking beautiful and all the shower fixtures work as they should.

I replaced my bathtub. It took a few tries to get it right, but they were very easy to deal with, pleasant, and professional. As promised, they made sure I was satisfied.

Love my new shower. Nice people good workmanship done in a day

Mad City Windows made for an easy interaction. The representative, customer service, schedulers and installers were all very helpful and informative. One thing I appreciated was that when the windows were installed they didn’t leave me a mess to pick up. The windows are custom and look fantastic. We have also had a reduction on our utilities. When we replace our remaining windows we will be using Mad City Windows again.

I am totally satisfied with my new windows. They were installed professionally. It was done efficiently and courteously. They fulfilled my expectations and I would recommend them without hesitation.

It started with needing some new windows and door for the home I just bought in October 2019. A salesman from Mad City came to give me a quote (he was my third quote) on December 18, 2019 and the result has not been much good from the bath/shower part of the project. The sales person was very high pressure and maybe not very honest or forthright with the cost breakdown from the beginning and the product as well as the service of the bath/shower install was particularly not good or even worth the cost. It cost $21,000.00 alone. It does not make any sense what happened. I feel that I was pushed into this as the sales man initially told me that he would loose his job if I did not sign the contract and I did not even want or feel I needed a new bath yet. He convinced me of it by using some moisture-detecting device that indicated several areas of moisture, but when the install was under way, there was only one area of moisture and it had not affected any other area other than around the copper pipes. He made it seem that there would be mold and moisture damage in several areas inside my existing (old) tub/shower. The readings from his meter must have been over exaggerated or false. All in all, my experience with Mad City left me feeling pushed, lied and deceived to and now I have this overwhelming $39,000.00 debt. Not only so, but he was supposed to send me a breakdown of the initial quote and he never did and the installers were clumsy as they dropped a lot of things while doing their work and even stripped the screws while installing the bronze hardware I already bought beforehand. The tub was left with scratches and a leaking faucet.

Side note: even the window and door subcontractor installers let me know that I am not the only one Mad City had done this to and they are thinking of not working with them anymore. It seems as if they are just conducting their business in deceitful, bullying and greedy ways.

To Whom It May Concern,

We apologize if the customer's experience was not up to par. If there are any outstanding service issues or warranty issues we are more than happy to address them per our warranty. If the customer has service issues please go to our website and submit a service ticket if they have not already.

In terms of the price vs. value component our pricing for our product is in line with numerous other companies both within Wisconsin and throughout the Midwest. Cost can highly vary depending on the quality of product, size of company, warranty offered, financing offered and many other factors such as the home's condition etc. We have many quotes from competitors for comparable or even some cases poorer quality products that are the same or more than ours. Simply comparing pricing from Big Box retailers is not comparing apples to apples.

Again if there are any outstanding services issues we are more than happy to address those.

Regards,

Mad City Customer Care Team

We love our new windows! Great quality and the workmanship was outstanding. We would recommend Mad City to others. Happy customers!!!

We had a bath to shower conversion done in our upstairs bathroom. the Sales person (Cory) was very knowledgeable and polite! the installer was professional and paid attention to detail. We are very happy with the results! I would recommend them to anyone looking to convert their tub to a shower! Tammy and Richard

The bath they installed has a serious dip in the front end, they put a hole in our wall they never came back to fix, and the caulking around the tub has cracks where moisture can get to, probably leaving mold...
We tried working with them but they actually said the provider of the tubs who has the mold must have a bad mold and we kept waiting...and waiting...and waiting.. and after plenty of phone conversations....NOTHING...
The kid, chris, who was selling to us tried to tell me how they dont use "questionable" employees like other companies, referring to feldco who did a BEAUTIFUL job and Clean up on our windows...
Im actually quite disgusted with this company.

Back in November 2019, Mad City put in a walk-in shower for me. I thought the price was high, but I had Mad City install the walk-in shower any way. I must admit they did a supper job. I show off my walk-in shower to any one that comes to my house. This project dose increase the value of the house a lot. Doug Acc. #

Drafty windows, had them come out twice for them to tell me they’re installed improperly. Also was told I was getting triple pane windows and the sneaky salesman changed the order to double pane. Paid 15000.00 for junk windows! When I speak with them I get ignorant service and ask to speak with a owner and get nothing but the run around. Save your money and go with someone else’s product. I was told how these windows would pay for themselves with the great efficiency, that’s not happening. Looks like we will be going to court! Buyers beware! When I post on there’re Facebook they take down my messages.

We have been out to this customer house multiple times checking to make sure the windows are installed properly. Which they are. The customer signed a contract that was clearly written as dual pane glass there was no sneaky switch of the glass that the customer was not aware of as he was clearly able to read his contract over before signing for the agreed amount. We have continued to try and work with this customer explaining to him that condensation is not a issue with the window its actually caused by the humidity levels in the house. The drafts he is claiming he can feel we did have a service set up on 2/5/20 to address his concerns which he canceled the service on 2/4/20 stating that would not work for him, and has not called to set up a new appointment with a time that works for him. Customer asked to talk to someone above the service manager which I did call on 2/3/20 at 3:05 leaving a detailed voicemail and rerun number to discuss his concerns. As of today I have not received a call back from this customer. Mad City Windows sells a very high quality product and we strive to work with every customer. In this case we even had our manufacturing Representative come out to look over the windows to ensure they were all within the company standards.

Very professional and they did good work. There was an issue with a screen during installation, and they were quick to order a replacement. All around great job, and good customer service, from the quoting process to the install.

Sales person knew his stuff. Very nice windows ! No more draft or frost by windows

They were quick and friendly service. They came and finished in one day.

This is a great company to work with, first their price was lower than other competitors, and there was no hard sell. I feel that the quality of their product, was way above normal. I like the lifetime guarantee on both the products and the workmanship. They came out twice to make sure everything was measured correctly and really set my mind at ease, with the way they explained the whole installation process. The installation started the day they told me it would and the crew, showed up on time and were very professional in there work ethic. I really love the way my bathroom looks now, and have had six of my neighbors in to see the remodel. One of them has already had their bathroom redone after seeing mine. This remodel will add value to my home in years to come , and since I have arthritic hips, taking out the tub, has really made taking a shower much easier

We ordered, and have paid for, an entry door on 8/12/19 ($4,200).
As of today, we still do not have the correct, completed door installed. Each contact/call to our mad City Window contact in *** only results in unfounded statements. There have been numerous mistakes on the part of Mad City windows. Currently, we have a "dummy" door, (A stained, blank door) instead of the windowed, interior blinds, door that we have payed for. We had ordered a door painted white, and recieved one that was only primed white. Through many delays and broken repair dates, the door was finally picked up approximately February 5th, to be painted as was contracted initially for, and a dummy door in it's place. One month later, we still do not have our "real" door, and no answers from Mad City Windows as to when we can expect it back. This charade has now gone one for about 7 months!!!

Mad City Windows & Baths Response • Mar 09, 2020

We have reached out to this customer to resolve this situation. We did install the door with a primed white finish which they requested to have painted white. We installed a temporary door slab while the original door slab is being painted. We sent the door to our painter in Madison and due to the curing time they did not recommended traveling with it until the paint fully cured so the finish did not get damaged. We called the customer on Friday and explained that was the reason for the extended time it took to get the door slab returned. My service manager has reached out to this customer today prior to receiving this complaint to schedule a time for this to get installed and taken care of. A voice mail has been left with this customer. Any discount will be discussed at the time of the final service to install the door slab.

Had Mad City in to redo a downstairs Shower enclosure. Needed more height and width in enclosure . They were able to complete this and I am very happy with the work performed I highly recommend the business.

The installer did a wonderful job for me , found hidden things wrong and fixed them for me ...shower looks and works great

Would be more appropriate if I could leave negative stars as they do not deserve to be part of anything 1-star even. They sold my mom on a tub to shower conversion that was very basic and the contract did not include the major selling points that she was excited about. The thing that excited her the most was that the shower surround with going to be acrylic. They convinced her that this is a top sought-after material and she was getting it at a discounted rate. At $10,000 for something that is, by their standards, very basic I would be interested in learning what they consider to be extravagant. After I became aware of the price that she had been convinced to sign contracts for, a simple Google search returned results for entire bathroom remodels at half that price being the top prices in our area. It took a minute but I eventually got to see the contract that did not include the material that was used or proper measurements. What it did include was everything that will get them out of any warranty they stated exists for their products, work employees, contractors etc...It only left them liable for manufacturer warranties for products that do not have a manufacturer tag that you can read and no information about manufacturers on the contract. It did also include add-ons that she stated specifically said she didn't want and would also take up more space in an area where they had measured to be 3 in larger than reality. I am certain this is because of the different laws regarding custom work in people's homes. By their measurements everything had to be custom-built on the job and no pre manufactured surrounds or bases existed. I decided not to be home when the sales man was here and he seemed to be in a hurry once I got home. He said more than once that he believes he knows me from somewhere. I didn't think anything of it because I have experience in promotional modeling and marketing, but in retrospect this is obviously something to take people off their guard so that they will feel flattered in some way. Their tactics are nothing more than stunts to swindle people. The 3-day cancellation laws require more than what their cancellation papers have available to the consumer. Any and all custom work has to be canceled within 3 business days, which include Saturdays but not federal holidays, and they must be done by certified letter. Cancellation is considered valid at the point in time that the letter is mailed, so definitely get a postmarked receipt of your certified letter as well as a receipt signature. They came on a Friday with Monday being a Federal holiday so I believe they had knowledge and intention to defraud as many people as possible that afternoon, knowing that most people would not become familiar with the 3-day cancellation laws or which days are considered business days and holidays for those laws. I'm very happy to say that I was able to cancel and attach a cease and desist order because they are known for further intimidation and fraudulent sales tactics to get people to rescind their cancellation. Please follow the letter of the law carefully it is available online. Do not sign any papers that they do not immediately give you a copy of and do not abide by their rules for cancellation as they are not legally binding. Most of all do not let them ever come to your house again or approach you by email, phone or other means. If possible, privately video their fraudulent tactics to post online and send to news outlets.
