Major World Acquisition Reviews (194)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I would like my case to be reopened, I didn't ask for my case to be closed on any notice. I did not receive an email regarding major world Chevrolet from Revdex.com. the msrp sticker that is supposed to be on the vehicle was never given to me. I have no financial paper work of the purchase of this vehicle. I was suppose to get a 6,000 dollar Rebait on the car and I never received it. Mr M[redacted] uses deceptive tactics against me and wouldn't allow my wife or my son to be around me while signing paper work for the purchase of this vehicle. I am one of many victims of this situation and I sincerely ask that my case be reopened.

Please provide repair orders demonstrating that an issue that's currently 3 years old that has existed since purchase. We have no incentive to wait for a vehicle to be out of warranty. FCA pays us to do that work, at a rate that comparable to customer labor rates. If there's something we...

can help you with, we're happy to. We have no incentive to turn away warranty work, however, we do have an incentive to turn customers away if they expect us to do non-warranty repairs for free. If an estimate of the current issue exists, I would be happy to review the same.  Thanks,  Eric K[redacted]

[redacted]: I'm happy to consider any options you feel are appropriate, I only repeat for sake of clarity that we have no legal link to this matter. We purchased the franchise rights from the old owners, but did not assume their liabilities. Full value for the trade (regardless of history or condition) is the best offer I can make at this time. It would form the basis of resolving your complaint and, I believe, its a generous and proper offer, given the circumstances.  Your initial complaint indicated that you weren't told of the 2 accidents...yet your signature appears on multiple documents indicating that you were made aware. Now that we've researched the matter and demonstrated that the accidents were disclosed (in multiple formats), I would hope that we could have a reasonable conclusion -- you getting full wholesale value for a car you claim you cannot get value for elsewhere. Thanks, [redacted]

We have resolved the complaint with the consumer. I have attached the settlement paperwork and will have check out to [redacted] shortly. Eric K[redacted]###-###-####

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved becauseThe vehicle was never repaired at the shop and there is no serious mileage on the vehicle because it has been towed more than driven ... But I have spoken face to face with Esquire K[redacted] and we are trying to come to a all around benifical compromise ...But there are still issues to be addressed by his higher ups and things that will hopefully make this go smoothly .....So I am stating that this issue has not been resolved

AN EMAIL WAS SENT TO THE COMPANY AND I WILL UPDATE YOU WITH A RESPONSE. THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP

We are presently looking into the problem.I apologize for the inconvenience and will be in touch with [redacted]'s credit department today to address the loan/lease issue.Thanks,[redacted]###-###-####

To Whom It May Concern:  Please see attached return receipt. [redacted]'s vehicle has been officially 'returned', as per GM policy.  Note that any damage or mileage issues are between [redacted] and the bank to resolve. We apologize for the confusion regarding the return...

of the vehicle itself. Regards,  Eric K[redacted]

[redacted]: Please note that, according to the Bill of Sale prepared on the second vehicle, your Charger was assigned a trade-in value and that full figure was applied to the 'new' Corolla. (see attached)  Additionally, you were upgraded from a 125k mile 07 vehicle to a 25k mile '11...

vehicle - without an additional down payment required. If you had wanted the Charger fixed, that was certainly possible, as you had a warranty on said vehicle. It appears, based on documents alone, that you wanted and were granted the opportunity to purchase another vehicle, with an advantage of no further money down. Unless there's something indicated in writing that has promised a refund of the original down-payment, I'm afraid I cannot consider your request.  Eric K[redacted]###-###-####

[redacted]: Inquiry removal can take up to 10 weeks. Unfortunately, there is no way for Major or its affiliates to speed the process. While we wait for 3rd party proof of removal, I would appreciate it if the Revdex.com would place a hold on the complaint itself, as Major has fulfilled its obligation to respond to the matter and attempt to correct the issue. Please note that our credit applications are written proof of permission to run credit and are worded as such. We offer inquiry removal as a courtesy with the understanding that written permission was given to run credit. I have attached a sample credit application to demonstrate the language employed is unambiguous. (see language immediately above signature line) Regards, Eric

I would be happy to discuss a resolution for this customer.
Please feel free to call me at [redacted] to assist.
I'm available Tuesday, 10am to talk.

[redacted] and [redacted]:  While we agree that the vehicle's performance has not been as good as we, the sellers, would have hoped, there remains a series of issues that prevent us from simply accepting return of the vehicle: 1. With a modest down-payment and accident damage to the...

vehicle currently, it is nearly impossible to trade you into a second vehicle, without a larger contribution on your behalf, one that I understand you'd rather not make.2. The vehicle's present mechanical  issue is unrelated to prior ones (and we are making the repairs via goodwill as the vehicle no longer has statutory warranty protections) -- and we will finish repairs, as promised.3. There appears to be little chance of getting an approval for another loan, given the current status of your credit and the additional contribution necessary to overcome that hurdle.3. We would consider a modest (month's) payment, as a one-time allowance in acknowledgement of your present inconvenience. I would hope we could resolve this soon. We are presently working on your other requests regarding credit inquiries and should have that to you shortly. Thanks, [redacted]

[redacted]

Please be advised we are looking into the complaint. It would be helpful for the customer to forward a full VIN# of his vehicle, so we can verify the sale, as well as the specifics of the cancellation (including a copy of the cancellation paperwork, if possible.) It can be faxed to...

[redacted] or emailed to my attention: [redacted] Thanks,  Eric

I have been in touch with this customer. While we have not come to an understanding, I am in receipt of her lawyer's letter and will make best efforts to resolve  the matter. Thanks,[redacted]

Please be advised that we are looking into the complaint and will get a response out promptly.
Thanks for your patience.

[redacted]It appears we have 2 issues, the first, mechanical: I am presently looking into the matter. It appears that the vehicle has a factory warranty that is still valid, based on car's age and mileage at purchase. If there is any dissatisfaction with the timing for our Dodge service, the car...

can be taken to any Dodge service facility. Secondly, there's the pricing: If you have a Buyers Order or other writing indicating the pricing agreed upon, we'd be happy to review it and honor a signed agreement. Otherwise, I would have to examine the matter on a case-by-case basis. I have reviewed the structure of the deal and, it appears, you got an excellent price. NADA retail pricing for your vehicle is over $21,000 at time of sale, indicating a nearly 20% discount as presently contracted. I can be reached at ###-###-#### to discuss any/all solutions.  Regards,   Eric

Funds went out last week.If [redacted] does not see credit within next few business days, he can call me [redacted] and I will see what the issue may be. The check was issued on 1/** and sent out via US Mail shortly thereafter.

[redacted]: Although this vehicle was sold by the prior owners/franchisees and the new company has no legal obligation, I did contact the prior group to get a copy of your purchase of the vehicle from 'old' Major at that time. I have attached the disclosures and [redacted] provided at the time...

of sale, to demonstrate that the accident history appears to have been disclosed to you. Despite this, I have recommended to our management that we provide full wholesale trade value for the vehicle, in its present condition, despite the history. (We generally carry thousands of vehicles on our lots at any given time) Our current policy is to provide the same for our customers, but given your concerns and the fact that you are unhappy with the situation, I am more than happy to extend that courtesy.  I can be reached at any time at [redacted] to discuss[redacted]

Please be advised that [redacted] is welcome to return the vehicle, and assuming no damage, will be refunded her down payment. Simply contact me at [redacted] to schedule. We would be remiss, however, to not rebut the claims made. In brief, the [redacted] of our company personally got involved with [redacted]...

[redacted]'s deal. [redacted] had numerous challenges regarding purchasing an automobile, none of which could have been bridged without [redacted]'s personal assistance. From a dramatic reduction in interest rate to hours of our sales, management and ownership's time, [redacted] was according every opportunity to review, reflect on and approve each of the steps along the way. We would, quite honestly, rather undo the entire transaction then have her feel that there was any mistreatment. I look forward to receiving her call and will do my best to make the exchange as simple as possible. My number is above and I'll be available until 2 pm today or on my cell phone after that at [redacted].Thanks
