I really don't know what area to post this under, but I'll let you decide Chase Bank offered to customers affected by hurricane Harvey the option of deferring mortgage payments from September to December They said there would be no penalty, late fee or negative reports to the credit bureaus I accepted the offer and although my payment automatically paid on September 1, the bank reimbursed my payment within a week That, in my legal opinion, created a binding contractTwo parties agreed on a beginning and ending date and consideration (money) exchanged handsYesterday I was contacted by Chase to tell me that on December the account, and all accounts with deferred payments, must be made current or all the penalties, late fees and negative reports would be appliedI asked them if they are now telling me that on DecI would be responsible for months of mortgage payments? They said that I wouldI stated that was never stated or even hinted at when this offer was made

Escrow analysis was completed on my property February 6th with a surplus of 7,to be refunded with DISBURSEMENT TO MORTGAGOR completed on February 7th On February 9th called to check status and see if they could direct deposit the funds into a chase checking account was told yes would be there in few days On February 21st funds were reabsorbed by Chase called and was given explanation account under review with no reason as to why Called back multiple times was told originally day SLA then then day SLA for ticket created Was given Monica U [redacted] as an escalation manger day ticket time frame has breached and still no update or refund on funds as of 3/14/over a month since original date of disbursement

In November 2016, Chase, our mortgage lender made an unauthorized withdrawl from our external checking account, after I previously scheduled our Novemeber monthly paymentOn November 23, 2016, I realized what happened and contacted them to have the unauthorized payment returned to our account, as there were overdraft fees associated with the withdrawl; the funds were returned to our account on November 25, I began the dispute process with my credit union for the overdraft fees on November 23rd, and the fees were later overturned by my credit union, as Chase had returned the funds When making our Decemeber payment, I noticed it showed that we still owed for November, so I contacted Chase and they advised, both payments were returned to our credit union accountI let them know that we only received one returned payment and they began to investigteOn December 9, our credit union provided us a provisional credit, for the dispute, but the funds have been on hold,
