I purchase a Electra Omege xguitar over the phone on March 1st Order # I asked about the condition of the guitar and was told that it was in good condition I received the guitar March 7th The guitar was no where near good condition It has two cracks in the body and the frets of the guitar are starting to come out I tried to call and talk to the store manager about the problem and got no where It is out of the day return policy

I went to Kendall Store at Miami to buy a mixing consoleI already knew what brand and model wanted so I just looked if they have it in stock as I saw it in the websiteI found one on its box on a shelf, but the box did not look that newI asked the sales person to check if they had another in stock but was the only one
I told the sales person that I was afraid that one could be a used or returned and I would not want to go back to the store to return itThe guy told me he was sure it was brand new, unopened
When I got home to check the mixer, box was already opened, the bag inside was opened and the mixer was defectiveI had to travel miles back to the store to have a reimbursementThere was no way to talk with the manager because the guys there just don't hesitate calling him, so he just stays untouchable on his officeFinally I received my money back and had to go to the competitionThank you Guitar Center for the bad experience!!!

I had placed an order for a piece of recording equipment listed on Guitar Center's used market place which, nearly one month later, I've yet to receiveFrom what little I've been told, it seems UPS had either lost the item, or delivered it to an incorrect address
Upon discovering that the package hadn't made it to my door, despite UPS tracking having listed it as "delivered," I called GC customer service, and it was explained to me by an agent that coordinating the claim process with UPS could take 7-daysweeks, conversations with customer service agents, store manager, and a UPS claims manager later, I am no closer to a resolution to the issue that I'd paid Guitar Center for an item that I never received
Most recently, I was told that the process can take an additional 30-days, and that the prospect of refunding my money or sending me a replacement before then wasn't within their power to authorize"Can I speak with someone empowered with such authority" I ask? Invariably, I'm bounced to some other manager or agent, none of whom seem able or interested in assisting me with providing details or a timeline as to how such an issue is resolved
My experiences with other music retailers contrast pretty starkly, hereEarlier in the year, I had ordered a synthesizer from Sweetwater, which arrived damagedWhile they coordinated the claim with the shipper, I was promptly shipped a replacement and keyboard stand, compliments of the salesperson
Even my bank has been more responsive than Guitar CenterI've contested the charge, and hours later, I was issued a credit for the cost of the undelivered item while they conduct their own investigation
My sense, after speaking with with a handful of managers and agents in their organization, is that Guitar Center Stores don't really have a protocol in place for managing items lost in transitIf they do, it's about as nontransparent and consumer un-friendly as one can imagine

I went to Guitar Center to repair an amplifierInitially they took my amp, said it was fixed a few days later (along with about $200), and I took it homeless than a minute into using my newly "fixed" amp, it was broken againI took it back, they charged me again, to fix it againSame problemI took it to another amp repair shop in the area and was informed that my amp was broken because of a problem that their amp tech was able to diagnose, and was told that guitar center actually took their products to this shop to be repairedBasically, the amp tech that works for GC isn't entrusted with the products that they sellThe amp tech at Uncle Albert's informed me that he has worked on numerous products for GC to sell, and that their amp tech is not entrusted with their own gearThey sold me a lie, and I'm now out almost $and with nothing to show for it

Once received the guitar and started playing it, I discovered that the tuning mechanism is not working properlyI brought the guitar into a Guitar Center in Raritan, NJ for assistance and was quoted $for "Tuning Machine Head Install and Restring." Please see the attached Repair Work Order

On December 9th, I ordered a digital piano online with guitar center The piano was damaged on the way It had to be discarded UPS took responsibility, and quickly email me, stating within business days, they should pay for the damages directly to guitar center
I requested guitar center to have my money back or to resend a digital piano They advise me to wait until they fully investigate the incident with UPS I have called several times, and they keep requesting me to wait I have placed a complaint online with customer service, in which up to this date, I have not get a response back I told them, The credit card payment is due on the 18th of january, so they suggested I should make the first payment, and eventually they would refund the balance due

Very poor customer service Bought a Marshall Mg amp used online with a extend warrantyTook it in to have it repaired They did the service ticket wrong and tried to charge me End up returning it and decided to give them another chance and bought a Randall RT120RH didn’t have quite enough for the extended warranty so had day to add it Went in to the Murrieta store to add it paid cash The did something wrong and end up putting a charge on my atm that was connected to my online account and had a charge pending Called them and told them about it they said they would take it off the over charge I received a email days later saying the warranty was refunded So I went down to the store in Murrieta and told them what happened and they basically called me a thiefThey still haven’t returned my money to my account yet and they still act like they can’t figure out what happened or who screwed up They never offered an apology for the screw up or to make it right Stay away from this store

Ordered a guitar for christmas giftcalled days bChristmas and told there was an unexplained "hold" on my credit card Order was cancelled and new order put in w/ expedited shipping to arrive for C-masDidn't arrive, called next day and told it didn't ship, put on hold while csa fixed problem Told only left but I got one and would ship immediatelyNever shipped , called back and told once again they would ship immediately About a week after each call I received email stating temporarily out of stock and would ship as soon as they came in Now over months after ordering I receive a terse email simply stating the order has been cancelled I had used a 20% discount coupon for ten and suspect that they didn't want to honor the price I never received any correspondent offering another comparable guitar or other way to make up for such highhanded treatment
