I've taken my steinberger guitar to guitar center roughly a month agoS***, whom worked on this guitar had asked me to wait while he worked on it for a great deal of timeI wasn't upset about it until after taking a close look at it I found that the wrong Allen wrenches were used on the guitarThe screws were stripped completelyThe spring was also stretched outConsidering the retail cost of this guitar is $1,and they are no longer manufactured this a huge deal to meIt is also important to include the fact S*** stated he didn't really know what he was doing when he was working on it, but regardless continued to crank on essential components of this guitar seriously damaging its performance and actual physical partsThis is extremely unproffessionalAs of 11/19/between 11am and 12pm I made a very clear complaint in which the guitar tech agreed completely that he had made a mistakeI'm reporting this in case guitar center does not follow through with my request to ha

After doing some research, I bought an Breedlove Premier Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar that was advertised as clearanceI was very happy with my purchase because it was a great priceAfter a couple of days I received the following email:
"Thank you for your recent orderWe have yet to receive the out-of-stock item(s) noted below, but we have more on order with the manufacturerWe will ship them to you as soon as we receive them"
I thought that it was inconvenient but I was more than willing to wait because it was a great guitar for an amazing price; even though I wanted it for a Christmas presentI called the customer service for an estimated day of arrival, specifying that waiting was not a problem and they said that they needed to check and called me back
They actually called me to tell me that they cancelled my order because it was out of stockThe amazing thing is that they DO have the guitar on stock and ready to ship on their website, same item number, same model, same name...but for the double price, not in clearance anymoreI put it in the online cart and tried to do the checkout and it was in stock!!! How can that happens? Carlos, the "manager " which talked with me over the phone was giving me excuses saying that the guitar I ordered was an used one and it was not! It was on clearance and I have the emails to prove it
They offered me to buy it again with a 20% , that is $more of what I originally paidCarlos in fact graciously offered me $in store credit, like after this experience I wanted to buy more from themThis is so frustrating and disappointing!
Guitar center is fraudulent, they do advertising and they don't care about customers

When purchasing a AGK CCondensor microphone (NEW condition) from guitar center the sales rep brought the product to the counter and the security seal was broken (torn off with paper and sticker residue from the security seal still on the case) in addition there was obvious damage to the back of the case ( dents and scrape) as well as the feet of the case had scuffed on them After the sales rep had ensured it was a new product the I pointed out the damage to the case and noted to the sales rep the security seal had been broken At this point the sales rep backed pedaled and said he could not say whether or not the product was condition was new, used, or returnedHe stated it could be the floor model yet, the floor model was still physically in a display case just feet from us I filed a complaint with corporate and did not receive a follow up call after they stated I would receive a call from them I did not receive call till I place a follow up call to the corporate The store manager called me back and in our conversation stated that this piece of equipment was "probably a floor model" when I stated the floor model was still in the case the stated that it was "probably a return" and said he could look it up to see if it was a return or not, but was reluctant in doing so He stated there can be a 10% discount for returned merchandise at this point and was sorry it was not offered to me The manager was NOT transparent on the condition of the product even at this point

I have contacted their customer support and they refuse to honor the falsely advertised priceEven after I alerted them of they issue they have seemingly ignored the problem and the ad continues to runI have many screenshots of the add that I have taken whenever I see the addI can provide those if necessary as well as correspondence where they admit the incorrect price but refuse to honor it

I purchased an item from their online service for Christmas and I was informed that it was "back ordered after I had already paidas the back order date approached they then informed me that it was going to be even longer so I told them to cancel the order On January 18th I received an email informing me that they canceled my order and it would to business days before I would receive my refund EMAIL SAID: "Hello Peter, the order had been cancelled, if you have any further questions or require further assistance"It is now February and I have not received a refund or a reply to my emails

My son purchased a guitar amplifier online through Guitar CenterThe amplifier was listed as being in great conditionHe paid approx $for the product which included a warranty through ProCoverageThis amplifier was purchased 06/07/This amplifier broke on 09/01/2016, less than days after purchase ProCoverage was contacted and we were directed to take it for repair to Preston Electronics 816-660-The repair shop had the amp for weeks, then called us to report tubes needed to be replaced He said tubes are not covered and we needed to pay an additional $for the amp to be fixedWhen guitar Center was contacted we were told it was a Procoverage issue ProCoverage says it it a Guitar Center issueThe amplifier was not represented correctly by Guitar Center at the time of sale, obviously it was not in "great condition." The warranty we purchased should have covered the entire cost of repair

I order a Casio Keyboard Orange and a Yamaha PKBBKeyboard Bench which came as a set for my grandson for Christmas online The advertisement states order today receive by Christmas So, I ordered the items and the next day I get an email saying that product is out of stock I get an Email today saying that the item is still out of stock and it does not have an ETA as to when I would be receiving the items I would like a refund or items that are compatible so that my grandson can receive his Christmas gift(see below)

Very poor customer service Bought a Marshall Mg amp used online with a extend warrantyTook it in to have it repaired They did the service ticket wrong and tried to charge me End up returning it and decided to give them another chance and bought a Randall RT120RH didn’t have quite enough for the extended warranty so had day to add it Went in to the Murrieta store to add it paid cash The did something wrong and end up putting a charge on my atm that was connected to my online account and had a charge pending Called them and told them about it they said they would take it off the over charge I received a email days later saying the warranty was refunded So I went down to the store in Murrieta and told them what happened and they basically called me a thiefThey still haven’t returned my money to my account yet and they still act like they can’t figure out what happened or who screwed up They never offered an apology for the screw up or to make it right Stay away from this store

I've been a customer of Guitar Center, Raleigh for yearsOver that period I've seen a rapid decline in both the quality of products and knowledge of the sales people My most recent fiasco was when the store tried to sell me a $amp as "new" that clearly wasn't I spoke with both managers of the store and they were useless! I will never by so much as a guitar pick at the store again! It's time for Guitar Center management to see that their ship is sinking and nobody onboard cares to do anything about it Chalk me up to a lost customer who influences students and other musicians of where to go to buy audio and instrument gear

We had a few exchanges back and forth via email, where I stated that when purchasing the item online I was never informed of the condition of the item, neither online nor via emailI also stated that I had purchased a brand new item online and wouldn't be willing to get the open box / display item

I recently bought my husband a guitar for his birthday He decided to return it, and instead of the company refunding my card, they kept the money as "Credit on Account." They continually told my husband they were "crediting the account" not explaining that this did NOT mean they were giving me the money back--which is what it sounded like, but rather holding it in case I decided to make another purchase I called customer service a week later, in which case the rep, Aaron, told me he would be refunding the money back onto my card and it would take to business days I waitedAt day 6, I called back and the next rep saw no refund being made and no notes on the account regarding my call I am now at two weeks out from the return and have not received my money back When I asked if they would cover the interest that I have been incurring on my credit card while they retained my $dollars, they simply skirted the question and said I would have my money back shortly Still waitingStill incurring interestGuitar Center still has my money Horrible customer serviceHorrible accountabilityAnd horrible business practices
